In the heart of Beyoglu, just steps from Taxim Square, which is also worth a visit at night. Highly recommend!

• 756ziadb (2/5): Never to stay at - The staff were very welcoming, although the place is in very low shape. Not clean and bed & pillow not comfortable at all. We have bought some medicines that were kept in our room in a bag, on the night stand, with the receipt inside, and while we were unpacking, we noticed that 3 packs of them are missing. We haven't checked the medicines before leaving since we trusted the room service, I guess we were completely wrong. We do not recommend this Hotel, although they are welcoming , try and keep all your stuff in your bags and well locked . Unless you do not mind a dirty room and an uncomfortable bed and pillow, this hotel is not for you .

• Engkamal84 (2/5): The worst ever. The hotel has bed bugs - I had the worst travel experience with this hotel, so I had to end my 7-night trip after only two nights. When I arrive at a hotel, the first thing I do is check the mattresses to make sure they are clean and free of bed bugs. I did the same with this hotel and the mattress was completely dirty and the traces of bedbugs were obvious. On the other hand, it was very hot in the room and the old air conditioning didn't work well. When I called the hotel manager, he rudely told me that the mattress was a bit dirty and that was all you were looking for excuses. I left the hotel immediately. Unfortunately, the money I paid for 7 nights was not returned despite a phone bill of about 100 euros because of my calls to booking.com and the hotel treated me unprofessionally and rudely. Finally, after two days, I cancelled my whole trip out of frustration.
• TomasSteh (10/5): Good value for money - I arrived at the hotel after midnight and the room was ready. Unfortunately, the room was located in a busy loud area towards the street where I could hear a loud disco. In the morning, I asked to change the room and the room was upgraded for free to a suite on the top floor. The top floor room was large and quiet. Bed was comfortable, large bathroom was clean with enough toileteries. The floor was a bit old and not in a great condition but no problem with slippers. The staff was kind and helpful. The air condition was working well and the safe was present. The only disadvantege was very poor breakfast. Only two kinds of cheese, no ham or pancakes. But overall, it was a good value for a 3* hotel.

• neeratraveler (8/5): Great location and comfortable stay - Comfortable stay and great location. I had a one night stay at the hotel. The photos I saw on the website gave the impression of a grand looking hotel. I was surprised to find that the hotel was modest looking with a modest lobby. I was pleasantly surprised that my room was spacious and comfortable and I had a balcony. The hotel is a short walk to Taxim square with its many shops and restaurants.
• Dax142 (6/5): Better options AROUND - passable! - Mediocre hotel for the price it charges! From the outside looks like a dingy place but the rooms are quite nice, strong wifi. Bathroom cleanliness can definitely be improved! We had an early morning flight in and Cem helped in providing us Room 702 (top floor) straight in which was much appreciated (post 20 hour flight). The breakfast is quite basic and should be improved but the staff is generally quite helpful and friendly. Room 702 has a balcony which helped with two young boys looking towards backside of the hotel. Even though its on a busy street, there is virtually no noise that we experienced. From a location perspective, it's amazing given ira 5 in walk to Tunnel which can be used for getting a bus(bus stop), Taksim Maidan, Istikalal Street and Metro station. It is close to heart of Taksim, gull of energy, bars and restaurants, hookah places, don't kebabs, sweet shops. But also at night you will get a feel of red light area around it which is true for entire Taksim. There are heaps of eateries around and taxi is available easily at any time of the day/night. The lift is small and can only get max 4 ppl at one go. The lady who does the rooms everyday is super friendly and always smiling and even though she cent speak Turkish, she gives out pleasant vibes. Okay in short but you can definitely get better options - also the red light area piece needs to be considered. I will probably look for another place when booking next time but will definitely be Taksim again.

• Ghias Banaras (4/5): - The room wasn't as advertised - it was in a worse condition and not having 1 queen bed and two singles as expected. However, the staff were nice & welcoming.
• lollyl800 (6/5): Don't believe the photos - The positives about this hotel: The staff, who are exceptionally pleasant and helpful, noticible was the unusually large amount of different staff that man the reception desk, some don't speak English. Location is about 5-7 mins walk to Taksim Square. The rooms are a fair size. The Negatives: Breakfast is dire, tasteless, and lacking any imagination. The juice is the supermarkets' cheapest. Given the fantastic amount of fruits available in this country, there was none on display, not even watermelon, What was available was a few damaged apples and mouldy oranges. No yoghurt or fresh milk. Nice selection of cheese and bread, which made up our daily breakfast with a boiled egg. Bedroom: Rooms are a decent size for 2 people. The bathroom is OK, size Good power from both rainfall and handheld shower. Empty Mini bar fridge works well, if you request an extra room card and leave it in place during your stay, otherwise when it's removed electricity is shut off from the room and drinks in the fridge don't stay cold, 2 complimentary water bottles are a nice touch. Towels and bedding are of very poor quality, and torn, no Matress or pillow protectors. Lumpy pillows does not aid a decent sleep, The flooring is lifting and separating at the joins, which resulted in stubbed toes, Whilst I appreciate its not easy cleaning around luggage. Between guests might be a good time to clean under the bed and also the area below the fridge where dust collects if not cleaned regularly.
• 754emirn (2/5): In one word Awful - We stayed at this so-called 9 scored guest house, which was the most terrible experience I've ever had so far. I understand that this property is a guest house and shouldn't compare to a 5-star hotel, but again, as a 9 scored accommodation,you need to meet some basic requirements. The room wasn't clean, you could find a good variety of insects inside the room, flies, spider and even beetle! The aircon didn't work, and It was hot and humid, so I asked for a refund, but the receptionist refused. Actually, I have to add that he didn't know English, so perhaps he didn't get my point.
• eisenbergeran (2/5): very poor and terrible hotel - Very terrible hotel, not 4 stars and not even one star: At night we returned to the room, it's rainy and cold here, we tried to put the air conditioner on heat, we didn't succeed. The guy from the reception came and tried and said he couldn't do it, he suggested a sfarlot oven, of course I agreed. Our room is on the minus 1 floor, there is no window for ventilation. There is a glass door leading to the balcony and when you go out to the balcony there are 2 doors that I have no idea who could come from there so of course we didn't open the door. The stone mattress. I tossed and woke up every 5 minutes. In short, one of the most disappointing. Be carefull from this hotel it even not worth the name "hotel".

However, at night the pubs around us got very loud and they woke us up the first night. But the second night the hotel management upgraded our room to the last floor, and we no longer heard the noise the second day. From that day everything was perfect and i really loved the view from the top floor. Thank you! This is an hotel i would definitely come back to if i go back to Istanbul

• Aliya (2/5): - The property is not at all as advertised on expedia so do not be fooled to book based on how it looks in images. As you enter the reception, is is small and filled with smoke smell, the lift hardly fits 2, the rooms are filthy and have smell of smoke, if you suffer from breathing issues you can not last in this hotel for too long. Our room has left over stuff from previous visitors and floors were dirty and filthy. Bedsheet torn and dirty towels in toilets. We booked the hotel for three days but could not last there for too long and checked out the very next day. The hotel is not accommodating in issuing a refund so be mindful if you plan booking this hotel. Also its not family friendly, when we returned back to room after dinner, the lobby was blocked by 2 men and there was a party going on in the suite next to lobby. Br very careful when you book this hotel, we were deceived by the images and reviews on expedia.
• BeirutPop (10/5): A Wonderful Hotel! - Don't be fooled by the hotel's exterior: this is a remarkable place, located in a quiet street and one-minute's walk from Taksim Square. Check-in and check-out were fast and hassle-free (we were eight persons), employees are friendly (although not all speak English), the rooms are spacious and clean, the bathroom is big enough and spotless, there is a safe, tea and coffee with a kettle and two small bottles of water renewed daily, bathroom toiletries, wifi, TV, and if you're lucky you will have a room with a terrace on the lower floor or a big balcony on the upper floor. Breakfast is good enough with almost everything you will need to start your day: nuts, jams and marmalades, cheeses, salads, sausages, cold meats, boiled and scrambled eggs, milk and cereals, juices, coffee and tea, cakes, and others. Room prices are very reasonable. The jewel of Taximist Hotel is its manager, Mr Ferhun, who will do his utmost to assist you in any way he can (in perfect English): he will help you prepare your day, he will advise you about taxi prices and how to avoid scammers, he will point you to the fastest and cheapest route by metro, bus, or ferry, all with a big smile on his face and genuine concern for your safety and satisfaction, in and out of his hotel. So, yes, very highly recommended!

The minibar was not working and I had to ask them to bring toilet paper. Defiantly not worth the money. There are much better hotels around for the same or even less. Don't be fooled by the high reviews as the reviews are mainly for the staff of the hotel- who were really nice.

• hudak80 (10/5): Good cozy hotel - This is an old hotel so don't expect fancy entrance and rooms, if you are looking for great location close to taksim square but not noisy, affordable with breakfast included, I would recommend this place. As taksim is so busy till late night it is better to avoid a hotel not within the shops. This hotel had the perfect location, they arranged a hotel pick up in vip car for 20$ , the staff were so helpful specialy Hakan who speaks English very well, he guided us to how to reach places, he offered his help all the time, as soon as we arrived we got sim card through him too so if you are staying there don't wait and get it from the airport . Also the manager was so helpful and modest, the whole staff give you the feeling of a family , very casual and simple
• MahaR793 (8/5): Great economically priced hotel close to Taksim square with wonderful staff. - Excellent staff who are very attentive, especially Mr. Farhan who gave us a very warm welcome that was much appreciated as we were very rudely and disrespectfully kicked out of the horrible adjacent Faros Hotel after spending a week there due to an overbooking error. We spent one night in Taximist hotel. The rooms were clean, internet unlike Faros Hotel was very good and we did not have to continuously log in to access it. I give a 5:5 rating for their splendid staff but 4.5/5 overall as, although it is very close to Taksim Square, we did not like the street and general area. Then we met MR Ferhan the hotel manager, what an amazing professional friendly manger , the room was upgraded with no extra fees , his hospitality was more than amazing ,and very helpful and resourceful guy! Toilet bowl seat/lid is a sham, totally can't fit in so had to remove the whole thing to use the toilet bowl. Housekeeping should ensure that the tabletops are properly wiped as dirt shows easily on the glass; I'd to wipe down with wet tissues myself. Need better lighting at vanity desk.

Above all what made the stay better than other places was the staff, from the manager to the bellboy everyone went the extra mile to make us comfortable. I was travelling with two kids and had a 10 min walk to the bus stop with two big bags the manager was so nice that he sent one of the staff with me to help with the bags. If you are looking for a good location and want to be in center of Taskim and then this is certainly the place to stay with very good customer service. just be mindful it is not a highend hotel so if you are looking for the something highend with a big buffet breakfast then this is not a place for you. The breakfast was good but not lavish some even say basic but we didnt mind.

It fall dawn since 2009, now all refugees transform the city to one of the most dangerous area ..and taksim is the worst area there , not safe not for family . Hotel area not good and not safe .Hotel too small . If you want to visit Istanbul which is not great idea , you can in sultan Ahmet hotels you can find good deal ...
• Verified traveler (2/5): Won’t repeat staying at same hotel again - Overall i didn't like the stay there the staff who was on duty when we reached was very rude we did not like his behavior, next day when we asked for cleaning the room they said it’s not possible after 3.00 PM. We requested tissue from afternoon till night when we were back to room it has not been provided. At check out they were admitting that we used stuff from the room bar, and we didn't touched anything. They made us feel as we are thieff if we can affordpayingg for our stay idon'tt think that paying for small things will matter with us. The breakfast place is so small it's difficult to adjust having meal with many people at that room the service was very bad the table wasn't clean, my fork was not clean I felt vomiting and couldn't eat anything. The other days Idid nothaved my breakfast there.

Everything was great, If I had to say something i dislike, It would be the noise from the place across the street, they played music all night long until 6am, but it didnt bother us one bit. This property is walking distance to the bus station, tram station, taxim square and a few other places. Everything you need is near here!

• Mohammad (4/5): Below average - An overall rating is on average or below the average, no iron in room but provided when requested and they asking you to return it after finishing every time. AC is controlled by the receptionist or technicians, you cannot modify the temperature or fan speed, you can only turn it off, and sometimes they turn it on by themselves. Breakfast is cold breakfast with Nescafe machine. Sevice guy (kanaan) was very kind while the other one wasn't.
• STEVEN (10/5): Good place to stay in Istanbul! - It was a good stay, good place close to the Taksim Square, staff very friendly... Just the toilet bowl was broken so I surfed on the toilet but very good place to sleep! Don’t hésite, go head!

• tori (10/5): - The room I had was like a large studio and very spacious and comfortable. It is near everywhere and right around the corner from the shuttle to the airport. The only odd thing about the hotel is the walk way to the room. It is like a maze - not far but terraced so rolling the luggage around is not the easiest. The staff helped me when I checked in but I had to do it myself when I checked out because it was very early, Besides that the stay was good... very comfortable bed and room.

• Mohammad (10/5): - I highly recommend the hotel! The staff are very friendly The hotel is 5 minutes away from Taksim square and rooms are very clean. It's not a big hotel but the service is excellent, you will feel as if you are at home. The manager speaks English fluently. The breakfast is very good with variety of choices but it's almost the same everyday and i'm ok with this, the only disadvantage is that the breakfast area is small but you will always find a place to sit down and eat. The internet speed is very good all over the place even in your room! Hot water is always available The manager Ferhun was very helpful and gave us a lot of information during our stay (He has a good sense of humor too). Special thanks to the staff Kenan & Yilmaz for their excellent service, and for being so friendly and helpful.

• Nayeon (8/5): Good budget hotel - Taximist hotel has a great value of money. I had to book this hotel at the last minute since we decided to extend our stay in Istanbul on the day we planned to leave. Unlike my worries, everything we needed was ready in the room. Cleaning service was also fine. The staffs were absolutely nice, and helpful. Breakfast was not very good. We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and really enjoyed our stay.
