The Jaccuzi was getting hot enough and the Sauna wasn't getting hot at all. My husband celebrated his birthday, I made a request for rose petals and candles. This wasn't done.

• Shethal (7/5): Great value for money - The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Our unit was clean , neat and very comfortable. Everything worked perfectly fine. Its great value for money. The location was excellent especially since we wanted to see nature's beautiful hippos and we saw them close enough. The restaurants are all walking distance, absolutely safe, you can walk freely even at night (just stay 30 meters from hippos) theres alot of good vibes in this beautiful town. Not a dislike just a suggestion, the resort needs a face lift with a few upgrades outside and a few inside but still great value for money.

She also suggested activities in the area and made a booking which was cheaper than what the websites showed. It was so convenient. The accommodation itself was beautiful. It was neat and clean and situated in a spot where the Hippos crossed us. What an amazing stay at lack view Cabanas Only that the TV was not working

• Tshivhase (5/5): it was great - the apartment set up was very well, even thou only one air con was available. the garden and braai area was very beautiful and the beds are comfy. the location was the best thing for us. the host was too friendly. she should limit her small talks. she made an offensive comment about my partners height and ask if we are married or not. the rug in the living room had broken bottles, the kitchen friedge was not working well. the shower gels were almost empty. we booked for 4 guest and there were only 2 towels in the bathroom. only one had an air-conditioning and that was not specified.
• Phindile (3/5): Unsatisfactory - Great area, enough rooms for a small family (2 bedroom) We had the worst bedbugs in the second room (twin beds) and the couch. Eek! Our children woke up itchy with red marks all over and it went on during our whole stay. Pest control is very necessary in such areas, please be more considerate.

• Nhlakanipho (8/5): - The friendly staff, as well as the property's location. We arrived at the property (having booked 2 places) and both the fridges were not working. There is a black, light skinned lady who insisted that the fridges were too full, hence them not working. We explained that when we got there, before we even used the fridge, they were not working. Eventually one was replaced, but the following day (Wednesday), the other was replaced as well. I also didn't like that the bedding wasn't changed. We were there for a whole week, it was so hot! The bedding needed to be changed. This is not hygienic.

• Holger (5/5): We will not book here again. - Parking spaces are available for every room in the complex. On the last day for check-out, there was no water and no electricity. The lady at reception was very overwhelmed. The internet is a disaster and very complicated to join. The rooms are located next to the street and the restaurant, making them very noisy and preventing sleep until after midnight. It's also very noisy due to the buses and generator from the Elephant Lake hotel. The bed is very small for a couple to sleep in. The beach should absolutely be avoided on holidays or during peak season and it is overrun by the local population and very littered.

• Claire (4/5): C’est un motel à étage avec logement vieux et sale - La proximité par rapport au centre ville mais pas super sécurisé. Le fait que le parking est dans l’enceinte de la propriété avec télécommande. On nous a d’abord donné un logement à l’étage avec un tout petit balcon et qui n’était pas représentatif des photos. Nous avons demandé d’échanger avec une au rez-de-chaussée. La chambre était sale. Quand nous avons demandé de la nettoyer, ils ont dit qu’ils allaient venir, ils ne sont pas venus comme convenu, et on dit que c’était parce que nous n’étions pas dans la chambre alors que nous n’avons pas eu de précision. La salle de jeux pour enfants est dans une pièce sans fenêtre et lugubre pas comme les photos et la piscine est à l’arrière à côté d’une resto. Soit c’est un motel.

Our teenage boys enjoyed the jacuzzi and the swimming pool. We got to see a hippo walk past on our first evening. the boys also enjoyed the pool table in the games room. Parking was adequate. As noted on previous reviews that I had read before booking, the apartments need cosmetic renovation. The shower did not drain properly (we actually had an incident in our bathroom and had to move rooms). We could not access the wifi on our iPhones.

Lovely staff, the Ladies at the reception gave us a warm welcome and ensured we had a beautiful stay. My family and I really enjoyed and we are definitely coming back! Nothing!

The maintenance is badly needed as is a complete overhaul of the apartment I would give this apartment a 3.5
