- sheilagL4168QD (2/5): 0/5 Stars. Disappointed. - Worst experience ever at this location. My husband and I have been titanium members since 2024 and we have never had any issues prior to this stay. We were placed in a room with no working AC. We called the front desk, were brought a fan, and were told to go back tomorrow morning for a room switch. We did just that and were rudely told by some lady at the front there were no available rooms for the night. After my husband asked if there was anything she could do, she said that she would award my husband 10,000 points and allow for late checkout for the inconvenience. It was literally impossible to be in the room with it being so hot, so we went back around 7pm when someone else was working and they gave us a new room. The new rooms AC did not work. Literally ridiculous. My husband had to go back to the old room to take the fan. The worst part - when we checked out the next employee at the front told us that we weren’t awarded points or late checkout. Absolutely ridiculous. Won’t be staying at this location anymore. Very disappointed with the staff.

- Momma_Brothers (10/5): Great value for your money with this minimalist place. - This hotel was a fun hotel to stay in. The location was great. The rooms were minimal but clean and quiet. They had free breakfast that I did not partake in so I cant really tell you anything other than they had it. The service was good. And the valet guys knew how to maneuver all the vehicles with the small space they have to work with. Oh and let’s not forget the nightlife with the pool table and the pool!

Front desk staff were clueless - asked about an info or visitor center and I got the “ I dunno”. Yet there was a visitor not more than 2 blocks away. Wanted to buy a beer from the concessions and was told they can’t sell it as long as the bar is open…WTH?! All I’m saying folks is find a better place to stay. This millennial place is not worth it one bit.

- JLago (10/5): Clean and Convenient - My wife and I spent 3 nights here while attending a wedding. We stayed on the 5th floor, overlooking the pool and River walk. This hotel was perfect for our needs. A convenient location right in the heart of the downtown area. The pool has a nice, trendy bar area and the hotel is a short walk to many restaurants and coffee shops. Manny at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the Aloft.
- dilettanteMB (2/5): Unhelpful and rude - I’m not super picky about hotels, but a reasonably comfortable bed and a hot shower are the two critical things I’m buying. First morning the shower was cold but I was in a hurry so dealt with it and went to the front desk later. They sent maintenance that tried but couldn’t fix it. No rooms to move to we’re 100% full but after a lot of rudeness and unhelpfulness she says I can move rooms in the morning. Next morning I call down to find out that a. No one has conveyed any concern or plan and b. It was a bold faced lie that I could get another room. After the second woman at the front desk is rude, unhelpful and also never follows up or gets anything fixed I’m stuck with no shower at all on morning 2. Third times the charm when again the front desk in the afternoon has no idea of the problem and eventually gets someone to fix it. But my time is wasted, I had to do days of meetings with no hot shower, and I’m totally over the lack of follow through or basic assistance. Surely you can find a better hotel in Tampa.

- RoadTripsUnlimited (8/5): A short walk to the Convention Center - I was here for a week to attend a an event at the Convention Center. The hotel is conveniently located adjacent to the River Walk, and it's a 15-20 minute walk to the Convention Center. The staff were friendly and the room was clean - the two most important things one cares about! They do have an a la cart, hot breakfast - otherwise, you are charging items from the refrigerators in the lobby to your room. The gym and pool were pluses. There are several nice restaurants within walking distance. Given the price difference from the other hotels near the Convention Center, this was a great compromise.
- MV-Luv (6/5): Nice people but stay elsewhere - We stayed at the Aloft Downtown Tampa hotel while a family member was in Tampa General Hospital. It’s a good location close to the hospital, and the people are very nice there. But its major drawback is the lack of a restaurant. They have a place where you can grab a prepackaged sandwich, and at night they have a bar with light bites, but I got the feeling that things were just heated up in a microwave as I was told the burger comes out only at one temp. We also stayed on the eighth floor and it took almost 2 1/2 minutes to get hot water from the sink. So we went next-door to the restaurant at the Tampa Riverwalk hotel which was very nice. We eventually just moved there, which is right on the Riverwalk, has larger rooms and surprisingly was almost half the price.

- Folklorist (10/5): Close enough to Tampa Convention Center - I was in Tampa for a conference at the convention center, which was close enough to walk to, but not so close that I had to pay higher prices for a convention hotel. The pool was not quite warm enough for me to swim, but I suppose I should not expect too much in winter. Madison at the front desk was always very observant and helpful.

The facility is nice and the staff is always super nice Your halls upstairs are freezing may just be a personal preference, you bathroom doors or lack there are are frustrating unless you stay alone there is no real privacy. Shower size is nice though.

As soon as we opened the door it smelled so bad we checked to make sure nothing or no one was in the room. It wasn’t cleanest either and the walls are pretty thin. For the price, I suppose that’s what you get. But the staff really was awesome!

Lots of original artwork everywhere (except the rooms, which were devoid of anything on the walls), and a nice atmosphere for sitting in the lobby area. The staff were attentive and friendly. It was nice to be right on the RiverWalk and across from U Tampa. I’d definitely stay here again if my kid ends up attending U Tampa.

- Michael (2/5): - They cancelled my reservation without even notifying me. My wife and kids arrived after traveling all day and they turned us away. I had made these reservations months ago. So terribly disappointing. The staff at hotel was snarky and mean spirited.

- Jackeline (10/5): Weekend getaway - This hotel was very clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Valet parking only and was at a reasonable price. Room was cozy and bed was comfortable. Downtown area.

- Maria (8/5): Nice place to stay - Staff friendly, room wasn’t as clean as should have been ( popcorn in corner of room from someone else), would have liked a freezer in the fridge, trash can had no liner and face cloth not replaced. Bed very comfortable, room temp great, breakfast sandy great, nice and quiet and valet staff very sweet

- Jeff (10/5): Great team! - It was an excellent stay. Wish there was a way to just light the toilet and shower area so you aren’t waking everyone up in the middle of the night.
- James (7/5): Family medical emergency - Convenient Pool was closed the first week, no resturant on premises, no free parking and valet was very expensive!
- Veronica (8/5): Great Location - Great location and wonderful stay. The only reason it wasn’t a perfect stay is that the pool was being updated during our stay and the only option for parking is through valet and unfortunately lost our keys for a few hours. Other than that the hotel is beautiful and the location makes it easy to get around.
- Rosalie (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was amazing especially Carl. He did all he could to accommodate us from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. The room was spacious and clean. Wish we could have stayed longer than only one night. Will definitely be staying there again when visiting Tampa.
