Guest Reviews
- Joanne (9/5): Friendly staff, lovely and clean, mattress was too, hard but would stay again - Bed mattress was too hard for me,but that was the only thing wrong
- Kerry (2/5): Not a great stay - Was booked as it had good reviews for food and wanted to be close but not in Corbridge itself. Breakfast was included and was good. Chaotic checkin, but staff were trying to help. No food available and bar shut on Sunday evenings. Chaotic checkin with staff asking for payment, which had already been made. Felt like pub was a little rundown and that overnight stays were being phased out.
- Sarah (5/5): - show was run from the bath, low water pressure and difficult to control the temperature. no glasses in the room only thick mugs. pillow and duvet seemed well used and should be replaced. the pub was also shut.
- Guy (7/5): - Breakfast was good The bar wasn't open on the one night that we stayed there
- Sarah (9/5): Lovely little place to stat - Room was cosy and clean, nice touches like the mini fridge, the big cups and the highland cow decorations.
Breakfast was really tasty.
Drinks were a good price. Some of the room needs a bit of a touch up and the connection between the shower hose and taps was leaking water, threatening to burst out.
- Neale (4/5): Very disappointed - Location was excellent and very quiet friendly staff Cleanliness left a lot to be desired, water pressure of shower was abysmal. Bags of laundry left outside near our door throughout stay. Breakfast extremely poor quality and poorly cooked , milk for cereal was off, poor choice overall. Beer garden and patio area in very poor condition not inviting. Not expecting the ritz for what we paid but with a little work and investment it could be so much better.
- Callander (7/5): -
- Julie (4/5): -
- Paul (10/5): Great for short stay and highly recommended - Friendly helpful host who cooked a lovely breakfast. Great location with carpark and only short flat walk into village which has a variety of pubs ,cafes, shops and is steeped in history. n/a
- Phoebe (7/5): - Friendly atmosphere, quiet location, clean and comfortable. Breakfast limited in some areas.
Could do with some refurbishment.
- Ann (10/5): Most enjoyable - Great breakfast lovely surroundings
- Heather (10/5): - It was a charming room and a great location down a quiet lane. Parking was great.
When I told the owner I was making an early start before breakfast she kindly left a little bag of snacks outside my door to help me on my way.
- Kendell (5/5): -
- Karen (9/5): Very nice stay, room very clean and bed confortable and the lady who worked there was very helpful and friendly and the - Very clean and the room was excellent Nothing
- Alan (8/5): We enjoyed our stay and would go again if we are in the area - Food was good Staff were excellent ,very friendly There was no chef.Hotel was closed
- Elizabeth (3/5): No breakfast at this B&B.... - I thought I was paying for a cute B&B given the price-- its very disappointing. Bed was comfortable. And its very, very close to the train station. Not at all what I was expecting for the price. Stains on the rug, old tiles and plumbing. Not nice. I booked the room because I was excited about the breakfast...which I never got. I was asked to pick a time for my breakfast when I checked in, then the next morning came downstairs to an empty building. Another couple of guests was having the same confusion-- literally no one was there. And obviously no breakfast. Called the staffing number: no answer. So we all just left. Apparently they were having a staffing shortage. For the price I paid, this was a real kick in the teeth.
- Graeme (1/5): - Unfortunately the hotel was closed as it didn't have a delivery of drink etc so we arrived but had to cancel as the place was closed! The hotel was closed so we didn't stay even though we turned up
- Bruce (5/5): - Spacious room, very comfortable bed, quiet area, easy parking right outside, short walking distance to township of Corbridge. Toilet didn't flush very well when we arrived and by the next morning it would not flush at all !!
Shower screen kept swinging open while showering so water went all over the floor.
The blind went down easily but wouldn't go back up.
Breakfast was booked & confirmed on arrival but when we came downstairs the next morning there was no one around. The place was dark and empty, except for one other guest also looking breakfast.
- David (8/5): -
- Christine (8/5): - The location and staff size of room value for money nothing
- Nigel0266 (8/5): Nice pub/guest house - Nice pub/guest house, dog friendly. Our booking was last minute but nothing was too much trouble...and the full English bfast next day was lovely. A warm cozy pub, with a nice outside seating area and literally 2minutes frm the train station. Shame the bar/pub wasn't/isn't open on Sunday nights
- Steve (7/5): Unfortunately the staff were unwell so didn’t receive our breakfast - Location Nothing
- kennedy (9/5): Enjoyed a great couple of days exploring the area. - Very convenient location for exploring the area. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast was really nice. Great value for money too. Would happily stay again.
- Antony (8/5): - Friendly staff The walk into the village as getting on a bit
- peter (10/5): Super - Friendly Very little
- Melanie (9/5): We were finishing walk along the Wall so just one night but would come back and stay longer - Our Room Red Kite was cosy, homely and characterful, pub was busy but no disturbance and nice place to get a drink and sit outside or in. Staff friendly and helpful, all seems very well run, extremely good value especially with excellent breakfast included.
- Rach (10/5): Amazing stay - Everything, staff absolutely amazing, spacious room , comfy beds , autism friendly , home from home colour decor , really comfortable stay No signs for shower how to work it and grab rails would be beneficial for those who need to use them for
- SIDNEY (8/5): - Breakfast time
- Gordon (8/5): The rooms could do with updating . The water pressure was poor so the shower was pretty much rubbish - Staff and location were very good Even though the heating was on, it was cold.
The shower was very poor and ran out of water in a couple of minutes
- Garry (1/5): -
- Pauline (9/5): -
- Danielle (9/5): A couples getaway - In an ideal location, beautifully appointed rooms with cosy decor that has clearly been carefully chosen to fulfil the vibe of old world charm. A bar and restaurant on site too. Tea/coffee provided and a delicious breakfast. Shaan, was an excellent host also. Warm, very friendly and helpful A larger mini fridge would have been great to store drinks.
- Sharon (9/5): -
- Jack (6/5): A cosy family-run old-fashioned inn - The Dyvel's Inn was a cheerful family-run spot with exceptionally cosy beds and warm, inviting staff. It had rustic charm aplenty, and was in a lovely location just two minutes from the station, and ten minutes walk into the picturesque heart of Corbridge. The value of the rooms was almost unbelievable. It's fair to say the Dyvel's Inn certainly won't win any awards for luxury, with a bit of work needing to be done, but if you're alright with a cheap, no-frills stay, it's safe, warm and inviting.
- jeanette (7/5): - Location Told no food available but when we booked in couple were clearly eating
- joseph (9/5): Good - is exactly what I expected
- Michael (9/5): - Great breakfast and very warm staff

- Louise (8/5): Lovely stay - Good location, friendly staff, lovely breakfast!
- Hazel (9/5): Lovely friendly family and staff, nothing was too much bother for them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Dyvels Inn - A little bit of history, built in 1840, still has old sash windows and other original features.
Location, 2 minutes to Corbridge railway station, a lovely 10 minute walk into Corbridge main streets.
Absolutely lovely hosts, a family run pub with great freshly cooked food and a fully stocked bar!
Bedrooms are warm and comfortable, with en suites and all linens immaculately laundered. En suites would benefit from an update
- Ian (8/5): -
- ronald (6/5): Plesent accommodation - Room was very clean and comfortable Breakfast was over cooked, but the lady serving was very pleasant
- heather (8/5): Well located, friendly staff, good value for money. - Excellent location within minutes of the train station and bus stop. Friendly welcoming staff, good deals on food, great breakfast, very comfortable bed and spacious room. Perfectly situated to visit all the a roman sites and Hexham ,Newcastle etc Shower in Osprey needs an upgrade. Door swung open so water went all over the floor. WiFi advertised, but no code available and couldn't access it.
- david (9/5): - Lovely staff, a real family friendly pub, nothing too much trouble, Shaan sorted out a little glitch on booking with no problem Nothing

- Ashby (10/5): Great place to stay - All of it Full English Breakfast was a little on the small side but ok if you have the cereal as well
And our two dogs were made to feel most welcome
- Angela (10/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): Warm and welcoming staff - Absolutely fabulous staff ... especially Leslie! Room very comfortable .. it was so nice to have a chair and footstool .. so much better than sitting on the bed. Free parking right outside made it an easy job with luggage Bathroom very tired and in dire need of an upgrade. Issues with the water supply. Old sash windows rattle in the wind ... and it was storm Amy when I stayed! 'Full' English breakfast was rather small (but it was complimentary so I shouldn't complain!) So I opted for scrambled eggs on toast after that which were very, very nice! It was a bit of a walk into the village centre for a lone female in the dark ... but lovely in daylight!
- Edmund (10/5): Very friendly staff and great location - Great breakfast
- Guest (9/5): -

- Christopher (7/5): - Breakfast was great and staff were really friendly Website shows wide choice of real ales but during our stay there was only one ale available and it wasn’t very good so we were disappointed by that. We booked our stay on the offer of real ales so we can’t give a better review then 7 out of 10.
