• Andrei (7/5): Ванная - ловушка - Удобное расположение. Есть небольшая крытая терраса, оттуда даже кусочек моря виден. Фотографии не соответствуют действительности. Сложно отрегулировать воду в ванной. Если вы находитесь в ванной и откроется дверь на кухню, вас заблокирует, и выйти из ванной вы не сможете никак - вообще. Приходится всегда брать в ванную телефон - на всякий случай. Очень сложная для подъема винтовая лестница. Номер с террасой находится на пятом этаже.

• Callahan (7/5): It’s a great value with friendly people.clean but tight rooms, and a wonderful breakfast. - Great location! Awesome breakfast and seaside view from Terrace at breakfast. Friendly staff. Heater makes room too hot. A bit noisy in street facing rooms.
• Edil (1/5): No volvería a quedarme aquí - El desayuno. Lo tienen en el hotel de al lado en una terraza bonita con buenas vistas. Desayuno variado y muy rico. Hice la reserva con semanas de antelación solo para llegar después de un largo viaje y que me digan de una manera un poco hostil de que hubo un “error” en el precio y que realmente ese precio era solo el de una noche y no de la estancia completa y para quedarme el resto de noches tenía que pagar 120 euros más de lo que ya había pagado. Sigo sin saber si realmente fue un error o una estafa que tienen para hacer pagar más una vez ya estás ahí. Eso o simplemente fue un error de Booking al publicar el precio, en todo caso yo debería ser el último perjudicado en esta situación. Experiencia desagradable. Y luego en la habitación la calefacción estaba al máximo y fue imposible bajar la temperatura por lo que tuvimos que abrir la ventana y dejarla así toda la noche, soportando todo el ruido de la calle ya que era un segundo.

T. renovierungsbedürftig und mit einer rel. enger Windeltreppe erreichbar. Also muss man etwas körperliche Kondition haben.

Les chambres ne sont pas à la hauteur que je m’attendais, je m’attendais pour enfin le prix à standing élevé. En effet, les photos ne rentre pas justice à la chambre. • Susan (1/5): Don’t stay there unless desperate. - The scrambled eggs were nice. But nothing else suitable for breakfast Value for money. False advertising. The first night we had sheets that were discoloured and stained. Shower so small you could hardly turn around. Air conditioner did not work. Mould in the room and shower. Stairs extremely steep and dangerous.
• Antoinette (9/5): Superb - The wallnut shell is an adorable and quaint little hotel in the heart of the old city district. Walking distance to many major attractions. The staff at the hotel were very kind and accommodating. Breakfast, which is served next door at the Harmony Hotel, was a delicious spread and a great way to start the day. Saltanahmet district is a tourist designation due to the attractions and can be way more expensive than anticipated. Be prepared to spend money and have many encounters.

The hotel is very close to the main attractions, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and so on. Many restaurants and shops around the place. For senior folks it might be a consideration going up the stairs if staying in the upper level (4th floor). The stairs are steep.

Upper room has a balcony with good view to the sea and hotel is located very close to all great sightseeings of Istanbul Stairs to the fourth floor are very steep and narrow, so passing through is not comfortable. But that's building disposition, so if you require full comfort, choose Harmony hotel beside, which is the same owner
• Tariq (10/5): The manager ensured that his team provided everything to exceed customers expectation. - The staff was excellent. Any problems fixed straight away. No complaints. Very professional and well organised by the manager. Polite and courteous. Room very warm, daily cleaned with new towels. Brilliant location. Manager and staff exceeded expections with their constant will to keep customers happy. The stairs were not good for old people or with health problems. The breakfast was few doors away with climbing more stairs.

Clean. 41 steps up to room up narrow spiral staircase then 50 in the hotel next door for breakfast. I should have thought about that. • Rehan (2/5): Would not recommend. - The location was great, the shower had good water pressure. Breakfast was poor. Sound proofing in the rooms was terrible, we did not get even one good night of sleep. You can hear everything in the hotel, including people walking up and down the stairs. There was construction going on through the night right outside our room which was particularly uncomfortable. The room is very small, it is difficult even to walk around. The bathroom too is very little and difficult to use.

• Irina (8/5): Nothing can beat the location of this property being within short walking distance to the main tourist attractions, but - Location is the best about this property. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. The property is cleaned daily. Not having AC in the space next to the balcony made it difficult to deal with the heat.

• Antony (8/5): Well located hotel with lovely staff. - Well located for the main tourist attractions on this side of Istanbul. Great staff, always helpful. Was fine for us, but no lifts. So walking up stairs could be a problem for some people.

• Sylvia (7/5): Good - We slept well in our clean and surprisingly quiet room. It's an easy walk to Haga Sofia and other renowned buildings in this UNESCO Heritage Site. The hotel sent use to the Harmony Hotel for breakfast, which we ate on a rooftop terrace overlooking the Bosphorus. Small things added up: The toilet seat wasn't attached. We had a great hot shower at night but cold water in the morning. Our room overlooked a yard full of trash. The staff helped us with the luggage--much appreciated because of the narrow spiral staircase with no banister.

• Claire (7/5): Problems sorted quickly - hotel is basic but good value for money - The hotel staff were very helpful and kind. They gave us great information about the city on arrival and were very quick to solve the issues that we had. The breakfast was next door at the sister hotel, which had a lovely sea view. The air con in our initial room didn't work and we had an awfully sweaty first night with no sleep. After reporting it they told us they had checked and it was fine. It wasn't, and once we'd told them again they were super helpful and moved us to a new room. The 1st room's decor was tatty, it had a broken toilet seat and the bathroom light was on a sensor that switched off after 30 seconds. The 2nd room was less tatty and everything worked, except from an exposed wire on the kettle. It would have been useful to have signs on the breakfast food indicating what everything was as we couldn't tell, as well as instructions on how to use the tea machine!
