Guest Reviews
- NANTAWAN (10/5): - The receiptionist was so nice and polite including the security guard.
The room are cleanliness.
The location was good and very conveinence.
- Pascal (10/5): - A peaceful place, near the lumpini park
- Harald (8/5): - In der hinteren Reihe des Botschaftsviertel. Zur Metro 5 Minuten zu Fuß.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Great location in a quiet neighborhood. Due to bad weather I was 18 hours late and arrived in the middle of the night after their front desk was closed. I was able to use the Expedia app to contact them and they were able to accommodate my late arrival. Within comfortable walking distance of a bts station and two mrt stations. Rooms always well cleaned and security always at the front door. On site washing machines. Owners and staff always eager to help.
- Tyler (10/5): Great hotel hidden in nice area - Clean and proper hotel nestled in to a hidden area. Everything was perfect. There is no elevator. Coffee and local food nearby.
Chambres assez sombres, clim anciennes
- Verified traveler (10/5): Budget friendly hotel in a convenient location - A comfortable, budget hotel in a quiet lane close to the heart of bangkok. Everything was comfortable. The only thing to be aware is that the hotel doesn't have a lift.
- Jerald (10/5): Great location and price. - My flight arrived super early in the morning and there was someone there to help me check in seamlessly. Amenities are basic but the location is very convenient - less than 10 min walk to sky train, less than 5 min walk to convenience stores, and really close to great restaurants/bars/clubs, but still far enough for safety, peace, and quiet. The staff also provided excellent service.
- Frank (10/5): - A beautiful find in the heart of Silom it’s very quiet tranquil and peaceful it was just perfect stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location - 10-15 mins walk from bts sala daeng
Room looks a bit old but acceptable for me
Cleanliness of the bathroom is superb with no mould
- Kajal (8/5): - Despite my request gave me a room on 2nd floor though it was very hard for me for leg surgery. No elevator.
- Artem (10/5): - I stayed one week, its good place. All eas good
- Kazuya (10/5): - I loved this cozy hotel.
They were welcoming and warm.
The hotel was not very new, but I felt at home. They were friendly and lovely. I enjoyed staying there with them. Thank you very much.
- Gregory (10/5): - Everything was great .
- Evan (4/5): - Very basic
- kimberly (8/5): fit for purpose - Nice quiet spot withing walking distance of everything you need. Hotel is a little outdated and kind of smells that way too but for the price its perfectly reasonable. the door man is excellent.
- THEINGI (10/5): Quiet Ambience - Clean and spacious room. About 15 min walk from Sala Daeng BTS station and Silom Complex. We felt at home.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Quaint , private, quiet, spacious room, close to shopping and nightlife, pleasant staff who spoke English fluently.
- unchalee (10/5): Simple, as it should be. - Easy check in with security 24/7
- Canada (6/5): - The reception staff are great. Hotel located in quiet alley (Soi) Clean and secure with laundry room. Downside.. it’s quite dated and it’s time to replace bedskirts, lampshades, the odd TV and towels.
- Nathan (10/5): - Oy stayed a day due to moving around the lady on reception was very friendly and welcoming offered to help me with my massive bag up the stairs lovely lady hotel was clean and tidy would defo stay again
- Brodie (10/5): Comfortable stay house in perfect location - Property has all the essentials for a great rate; clean, rooms equipped with small fridge, good bathroom and air con, good internet connection. There is no complimentary breakfast but can be ordered daily if you needed.
Perfectly positioned, 10 minute walk from the BTS & MRT as well as a shopping mall and endless delicious eating options!
Area is safe and hotel staff are very friendly!
I highly recommend!
- John (8/5): - The hotel is in an area consisting of many office blocks and so Thai workers and is set up for them in terms of breakfast and lunch. Finding breakfast is fine but maybe find lunch elsewhere due to the large numbers of workers. Pleasant enough hotel with air con and hot water working but with little adjustment . The lady manager - owner is very helpful and friendly but everpresent so probably not the best situation for bringing a girl back with you. The Thai only speaking doorman insisting on jumping up and opening the entrance door on your approach I found irritating and unneeded. Not something I've seen at any other 3-4 star I've stayed in. Handy location close to the BTS skytrain and also Lumpini park.
- Valerie (10/5): Simple guesthouse at a great price near the BTS - The Sunrise Residence was lovely. If you are looking for a clean and simple guesthouse, affordable price, and central location, this is the place. Definitely not a luxury stay, but for $30/night, I had a single room with a pretty comfortable bed, a spacious bathtub with hot water, and just a 5 minute walk to the Si Lom BTS. It's down a bit of an alley, but no problem to find using Google maps and it's a quiet location. Wonderful perk - it's just around the corner from the delicious cafe/restaurant Bitterman. Reception was warm and kind, allowing me to check out late and arranging a taxi to the airport. Highly recommend for a clean and affordable guesthouse at a pretty unbeatable price for the location!
- Jeffrey (10/5): good - I had a fantastic time. The room was cozy and felt like home. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was ok, but down an alley. But, overall I would recommend it to my friends.
- RUDY (8/5): Clean, good location, good price - Location is a bit in the back alley (10 mins walk from BTS station). Very quiet and clean. Friendly staff. Security guard available 24/7. Romm is also clean. A bit old style but equipment well maintained and fully operational. Good speed internet. A good choice overall.
- Ronaldo Carvalho (8/5): Great location, convenient place. - Amazing staff! The lift was not working so the doorman took my luggage all the way to the 4th floor for me. When I was leaving at 5 am, he came running up to carry the luggage down for me. The place is in such a good location! Very close to the park, metro station and Si Lom.
The room itself was basic, with everything you need. Good air conditioning and wifi. It was not so clean though. Lots of hair in the bed linen from previous guests.
- Valerie (10/5): Simple guesthouse at a great price - The Sunrise Residence was lovely. It's clean and simple -- definitely not a luxury stay, but you can't beat the price for the location. I paid about $30/night for a single room with a pretty comfortable bed, spacious bathtub with hot water, and just a 5 minute walk to the Si Lom BTS station. Wonderful perk - it's just around the corner from the delicious cafe/restaurant Bitterman. Reception was warm and kind, allowing me to check out late and arranging a taxi to the airport. Highly recommend if you are looking for a clean and simple stay in a central location at a very low price!
- Gappy (8/5): Cosy homely feeling stay - The place makes me feel at home. Cleanliness was great especially the towel smells very good in comparison to those at bigger hotels that smells... It could be improved if shower gel could be provided.
- Sasikorn (8/5): Great! - Great with all except it is very old fasion style
- Denz (6/5): Hotel is clean quite friendly staff
- Hotel is clean n quite. Very friendly reception staff. Guard always eager to rush and open the door.
But the setback is the 10mins walk from the hotel to the main road each way. Dead quite especially at night.
- Kristian (8/5): good hotel at a good price, entrance hidden - hotel entrance was hard to find (for our Tuktuk drivers). 5min walk to nearst anything. nice and quiet neighbourhood. Limpini park is completely amazing and forth the otherwise non-optimal location regards to eating/things to do/closes metro-stop.
- drew (10/5): Friendly professional owner. Good location. - Very friendly and professional owner. Rooms were clean and in good condition. In an older building in the Saladeang area near lumpini park. Quiet location with metro a short distance away.
- Brian (10/5): Every ehich way excellent - Excellent in any and every way you measure expectations of a stay in a 3 star hotel.
- Jacques (8/5): - Woman at the desk is super and her English is good .
- Amanda (10/5): Best choice ever - This guesthouse was magnificent. Basic and functional it was really good value for money. Fridge, kettle, crockery and cutlery, big TV, two comfy sitting chairs with a coffee table, bath and shower. The location was right in the middle of all the restaurants and street markets with two shopping malls within 5minutes walk. There was a doorman who kindly carried my bag up to my room and down again as I was leaving. The lady on the front counter helped me organise tours, and arranged taxis for me. They have a fabulous cooked breakfast available. I really enjoyed my time here and the staff were friendly and helpfull. I highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): charming 'old style' relaxed feel. - Loved the design inside. Although it is not new, it has character and charm, and is very clean. Definitely would stay here again. I've stayed in a number of different places in bkk, but this was my favorite.
- Peter (10/5): Charming staffs, Beautiful hotel, Great location - Staff's friendly and quality service is the best part of the experience at the Hanoi Dahlia Hotel.
Noticed the size and the number of our luggage when we were checking in, Kelly arranged for us to move to the room with more space the next day. She recommended the itinerary that suits us the best and helped us made the booking for the cruise to Halong bay. Ha was very attentive, he was alway there when you need, from taking breakfast order to fixing up the pluming issues. To make sure we don't get lost, he came to the theatre after we watched the Water Puppet Show, walked us to the restaurant we wanted to go, knowing we would like to have the cyclo ride, he even stopped a cyclo operator, nogociated the price for us, and arranged the cyclo tour to start outside the restaurant after our dinner and taking us back to the Hanoi Dahlia Hotel, his service is profound personal. The service we had at the Hanoi Dahlia is not what we could get in a 5 Star hotel, it was certainly a memorable part of our trip to Hanoi.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Cheap -
- William (6/5): 5 star for bathtub, otherwise 3 star - This a rather old hotel, a good thing as the ceilings are high, the walls thick, the hallways and stairs quite spacious. Most recent overhaul is quite effective in making it without complaints from me. VERY IMPORTANT to me was a large bathtub, a very rare thing in any hotel but for expensive grand suites. I got ultra hot water by making the flow very slow (there is a small water heater above the tub). I would give the hotel 5 stars just for this 57inch, 147cm long tub, but the neighborhood is pretty grim. A long road, with walls on both sides, leads to the hotel (about a 4-5 minutes walk up what I call an alley. At first I was a little scared in this alley, but then I saw Thai women walking there. In the same alley are some expensive apartments, and almost no traffic. The Sala-Denge BTS is about a 12 minute walk. I would stay here again simply because of the bath. It is also relatively quiet. Hotel staff speaks good English and the vibe is very nice. It is called a Residence, and I saw some who look like they live there. Good feelings all around.
- Debby (6/5): Sunrise not so nice - Make sure you bring cash as the hotel deposite is cash only
- Verified traveler (6/5): - convenient location.
- Adrian (10/5): excellent value clean "apartment" hotel - The hotel is an "apartment hotel" and I think many of the residents are long stay. The building is an older concert building but well maintained, though there is no lift. The room was a "single" but a good size with armchairs and a laptop safe in the wardrobe. The furnishing was quite traditional (some might say old fashioned) but everything was very clean and well maintained. The bathroom although with older fittings was also very clean and well maintained. There is a self service coin laundry. The staff were extremely pleasant and polite. The building is in a quiet soi off saladaeng - at night it is very quiet but safe. For the price I paid, excellent value and convenient for transport in Silom (BTS, MRT). Lots of nearby restaurants and near the Lumpini MRT station.
- Eric Leong (8/5): Worth to stay - Good service of the hotel staff
- Timothy (8/5): comfortable townhouse residence - More of a residence than a hotel. Offers weekly and monthly rental in a secure mid level flat in Solomon district. Comfortable and clean, with a thai bed (very firm), locking safe, shower and bath. Good thai breakfast.
