Guest Reviews
- Doretha (10/5): - Hotel Inn Jimenez has pura visa vibes. Katia was a lovely host.
- Lisa (8/5): Perfect for visiting Corcovado - Clean, comfortable and well located. Our host Katia was really helpful and a welcoming host
- SHANNON (10/5): - This is my second time staying here and I have nothing but good to say! This is like my second home, but in Costa Rica. I feel very lucky for finding this gem in Puerto Jimenez :) gracias!
- Milla (8/5): - The room was very nice and bed was great. Owner of the hotel was very nice. Breakfast wasn't included, so you need to prepare your own in the shared kitchen. There was also nice bakery just around the corner, it was open early in the morning (4.30 am)
- Sylvain (4/5): - Besoin d''entretien
- Tim (10/5): - Amazing spot in the heart of Puerto Jiménez! If you looking for a cosy and relaxing place directly in the center of Puerto Jiménez, go for that one. The host is amazing and the place is full of ideas and cosy spots. Plus you get a little pool and a safe parking spot behind closed gates.
- Jesse (10/5): - The location provided for easy and walkable access to many activities. The property itself was very clean and comfortable. The hostess was most gracious, knowledgeable and accommodating. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to experience true tranquility in the heart of Puerto Jimenez.
- Gemma Rose (8/5): - Lovely outside garden and pool. Room was clean and could be kept cool with fan & ac. Shower was cold (not a big deal given the heat) but it also wasn’t very strong. Everything else was great. Location was excellent.
- Nicole (10/5): Amazing sanctuary boutique Hotel! - We met Katia the owner and she was a super lovely person! Caelyn was also another precious soul so they really made our stay super welcoming. The place itself is super cute! The room was clean the beds were comfy and the outdoor patio area/pool is super chill vibes. There were also so many birds we got to see right at the hotel! We will definitely stay here again next time we're in Puerto Jimenez! Thanks Katia!
- Meredith (10/5): Quaint place and great location - Katia has a lovely place and is very friendly and welcoming. She explained where everything is in town. She made us coffee in the morning. The room was comfortable but took awhile to cool down with the AC. The only negative which was not Katia’s fault was we requested a taxi to the airport. She had Tony Taxi pick us up. His truck did not have a meter. When we got to the airport he asked for $15. Seemed high so we asked for a price in Colones. He asked for 10,000… even more! Maybe he didn’t think we knew how much that was. We paid him $15 to drive us 0.5 mile (800 m) but realized we probably should have walked, it was so close and we felt that he took advantage of us.
- Steven (10/5): - This hotel was a total hidden gem. Absolutely loved it. One of the most amazing garden/deck/pool areas you could ask for with a little pool with a waterfall that was perfect for cooling off during the heat of the Osa afternoons. Hammocks to relax and read in. And our host was amazing. She treated us like family and arranged a perfect horseback riding outing for us. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Jerry (10/5): - This is a nice home, staff/family are very friendly and helpful if you need anything. It's Right in town, so convenient to everywhere. The room was plenty spacious, with both a ceiling fan and a/c. Clean, nice beds. Sweet dog downstairs in the property.
One note, the faucets were switched from what we were used to so our first couple of showers were refreshing (nice actually) then I read the handles.
Would definitely stay again!
- Marco (10/5): Sehr angenehm dort! - Absolut wunderschön und sehr familiär. ♥️
- Kristina (10/5): - The owner of the inn is a very sweet, kind and helpful person. I came especially for the Corcovado National Park and she was a great help organizing the two hiking tours.
- Alexandra (10/5): - This property was great for my husband and I. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to and the owner was very helpful with anything we needed!
- Alexander Bui (10/5): - Very friendly and welcoming host
- Danielle (10/5): - Host was awesome! Property was beautiful. Mica the dog was the best.
- Kathleen (10/5): Great Inn Keeper - It was such a wonderful stay we stayed here twice while we were in Puerto Jimenez. the Inn Keeper Katia is so warm and welcoming and very knowledgeable of the area. She is native to Costa Rica but speaks excellent English also. she keeps and extremely clean inn.
- Richard (10/5): Beautiful, safe, and like staying with family. - This is a beautiful place run by a wonderful hostess. We felt completely safe and we were very comfortable. We were able to park the rental car inside the compound, and we were able to leave it there the next day while we did an excursion. This place is conveniently located near the center of town and is close to the waterfront and all the best places to eat. We will stay here again on our way home. All that, and the price was fantastic.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This inn was a very lovely experience. Katya the host is very welcoming and knowledgeable. She provides a very homey experience. Our room was perfect with a great private bathroom and air conditioning. The property has a lovely garden for bird watching- we saw over 20 species in one day! Katya’s dog is very friendly and is a great guard dog. There is safe private parking onsite and each entrance is securely locked. The pool is actually being removed so that is no longer an amenity. There is a kitchen to cook in if you like, but there is no laundry on site. Katya often brews coffee in the morning for guests. We loved our experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone else staying in the town of Puerto Jimenez.
- Vicki (8/5): - We were here for a very short stay -- arrived late afternoon and were gone by 5 AM. However, the property manager was very welcoming and gave us a tour of the property. My kids enjoyed the little swimming pool.
We had the room with our own bathroom -- but you still have to enter a common area to access the bathroom. This didn't bother us, just info for others.
- Forest (10/5): Hotel Jimenez was great! - Katya was great! The pool was super refreshing. She hooked us up with a good guide! 5 stars all around!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This property was very well kept, nice large bathrooms with hot water and very clean.
- M E (10/5): Cosy, great hosts and handy - I strongly recommend Hotel Inn Jimenez. In a small, isolated town, Katje and Terry provide a comfortable, secure homestay type hotel. It is small – only three rooms – and cosy. The bedrooms have aircon and fans. Two bedrooms have ensuites, the third, which is larger and airier uses a separate but not shared bathroom (you just have to pop across the hall).
There is a kitchen, although no cooking is allowed, where you can keep food in the fridge and make cold meals – salads, fruits, leftovers from the nearby very good restaurants, etc.
The outdoor space is lovely with a mini jungle that attracts birds and a lovely pool with a waterfall.
Katje and Terry provide lots of good advice about where to go and what to do, and importantly, who to book with. They made our three day stay very easy and we were able to focus on the sights with no fuss about booking guides. I would absolutely stay here again!! Love to Kat & Ter!
- Joseph (8/5): Inn Jimenez - This is a nice B&B without the second B. The hotel is the three rooms on the second floor of their home. Clean and comfortable. No window in bedroom of two of the rooms. The third has windows but the bathroom is across the hall. There is secure parking and a lovely ugly guard dog who’s really very sweet. Hosts are must congenial. In the middle of Puerto Jiménez. Nice restaurants nearby.
- Susan (10/5): Fabulous small hotel - This small hotel is conveniently located right in the town of Puerto Jimenez, with rooms located on the second floor of a home (our room, though not all, had an ensuite bathroom). The owners of the property, Katya and Terry, made us feel like we were staying with family! They took care of each and every detail of our visit, from high quality towels, soap and shampoo in our room (rare for this level hotel in CR!) to helping book a tour to Corcovado and find other activities to fit our needs. Not having breakfast provided was a plus, as there were plenty of bakeries and restaurants a few steps away, open from the wee hours of the morning, to explore. Highly recommended!
- Scott (8/5): Good Value - The owners were helpful with the checkin and advice. The wife was extremely friendly and gracious.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Super cute hotel in the heart of Puerto Jimenez. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and the rooms were cosy. Unfortunately the pool was repainted so we couldnt use it. Apart from that everything was perfect.
- Ales (10/5): - The service was great. I will be returning next year without a doubt.
- Geerit (10/5): - Katia, the owner, was kind and wonderful opening her doors 2 nights before our stay due to a trip incovenience out of our hands. She went beyond herself to help us find accomodations that night and 2 others. We feel she was our angel in our trip to Osa, she made EVERYTHING so right for our stay! Forever grateful!
- Annie (10/5): - Great place to stay in Puerto Jimenez. Extremely friendly owner always available to help with planning and activity.
Ara and others birds can be seen in the garden close to the pool. There is a lot of restaurants and bakery in this area at a walk distance. If you have a rental car, it’s perfect because the activity are on the road to Corcovado.
- Erika (10/5): Comfortable & Convenient Location in City Center - Relaxed atmosphere, extremely friendly and knowledgeable owner/manager - went out of her way to provide us with information about activities and information about the area based on our interests. There was always someone available to assist with needs at any time of day.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great place to stay in Jiménez - Was a great place to stay on our way to Corcovado. Located right in the middle of town it was surprisingly quiet. Owners were great, and rooms were clean.
Only complaint is that you hear everything in the house as walls and doors are thin.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Tres beau jardin !
- Robert (10/5): Perfect location for exploring the area - The hotel was clean and comfortable. The owner was very helpful with planning our activity .
Had a beautiful setting and inviting pool.
- Mary (10/5): Cute and quiet gem in Puerto Jimenez - Beautiful b&b in the heart of PJ. Great if you’re doing a tour of Corcovado, as the meeting place for most tours is right around the block. The hotel has a gorgeous outside area, and we spent a night or two sipping drinks by the pool. Book far in advance for a better rate. A/c and hot water in bathroom were a plus! Only a/c of our trip! We walked past many others inns in PJ and this looked by far the nicest!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was incredibly friendly; like family. They made me breakfast and lunch and made me feel like I was at a home away from home.
- Lina (10/5): Good value for money! - We stayed at this Hotel for two nights- in two different rooms. Both were great! The first one was huge with a separate bathroom and the second one was smaller with a huge bathroom.
- Mike (10/5): Oasis - If you find yourself passing through Puerto Jimenez and want a comfortable, relaxing, made to feel at home place to stay while you are there, this is your spot. After walking the dusty roads of town for the day, you just feel completely welcomed when you walk through the gate onto the porch. The backyard truly is an oasis that matched perfectly between great conversation with the owners and ice cold Imperial. Terry and Katya have worked hard at creating an ideal atmosphere around the pool. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious and the wifi is good. Unfortunately we didn't have hot water, but it was so hot out that it was actually a perfect temperature to cool off. I was passing through for business and not looking for any tours or action packed days, but there was plenty to find if that was what you were looking for. Instead, Katya called a local massage therapist to the Inn that gave me a deep tissue massage poolside and that was exactly what I needed.
Puerto Jimenez is a quiet fishing village with great sport fishing and access to Corcovado Park, which I hear is beautiful and plenty of tours can be found. There are a few bars down the block, mostly a local crowd and things close down early. The restaurants on the waterfront are good, but the service fits the tico scenery, laid back. Bring bug spray on the waterfront! I would say Puerto Jimenez is more of a place to stop going someplace else or traveling the region, not likely your primary destination.
- Verified traveler (6/5): d'ont go - I can not belive that hotel .com would advertise this hotel as a bed and breakfast as we wre told that they will longer provide any service ,but have not been able to get this service from your web site,so we were stuck with providing a source for breakfast for 3 mornings in the middle of nowhere and were charged 15.00 per person when we could finally find a place to eat thanks also ,we were not allowed to wear any footwear in the "hotel" because it would ruin their floors wow great selection
- Emilio (10/5): Vey cozy and great place to stay - Our stay was great at this Inn. The owners were very helpful and kind. The room was small but very clean, with a great bed, large bathroom, great AC. The Inn is close to very good local cafes to eat. There is a great Pizzeria 5 minutes walk, make sure you eat there during your stay, you won't regret!
At the Inn you can have any tour organized for you, so that's very handy. They also have a small parking within the premises. The nearest beach is about 5-10 min walk.
The wifi is Free but a little bit weak from the upstairs.
