- Shannelle (5/5): Little disappointed - The staff was exceptional My room was not cleaned completely. The 2nd bathroom had spider webs in the tub. The tub was visibly dirty as well as the sink and the previous guess dirty underwear was left in the closet
- Carleigh (10/5): -
- Nancy (10/5): -
- Robert (9/5): - I was unaware when I booked the room, that I would be asked to sit in a sales pitch for an hour and a half. After checking in, I was directed to a sales person who pushed heavily to get me to sign up for something I was not interested in. This should be made clear when booking the room.
- Pamela (8/5): Very relaxing environment. - The area is so quiet and relaxing. We had 6 people (which they knew when we booked) but only 4 sets of towels. We were late arrival. I requested more towels in the morning and they were brought over.
- Priscilla (10/5): - Clean, spacious rooms, conveniently located near everything I can't think of anything
- 2Virginians (10/5): A very pleasant stay - We come to Governor's Green at least annually. Apart from the pressure to do a timeshare presentation, we thoroughly enjoy everything about it. It might be better for adults than for children if kids like a game room (in that case, go to Kingsgate), but there is plenty to do, whatever one's age.
- Davenport (7/5): Okay - Convenience for our needs. Insolent behavior of staff trying get me to attend a sales presentation.
- nicolepW8237MY (2/5): Horrible cancellation process - To whom it may concern, We are dealing with a severe medical hardship, and Club Wyndham is ignoring our pleas for cancellation. This timeshare is taking away from our families ability to pay necessary bills at this point. We just want out. Once you are in, they do not care about you. My husband and I were not told how hard it would be to cancel. They lead you on with advertisements and words of assistance then lose you in the transfers and unanswered emails and letters. We even spoke to them on the phone and they refused to talk to us! Beware, they are warm and
accommodating until your cancellation period is over then you are just stuck!

- Michelle (8/5): Very nice and would visit again. - The location was perfect for what we wanted to do. All activities were close by. Condo very clean and spacious. Perfect for our family of 4. The vacation club sales pitch, taking up 2 hours of my time on Christmas Eve:(

- Stephanie (10/5): Loved the location and the space. It was very clean and comfortable. - Loved the room. Lots of space and the beds were very comfortable. Close to Busch Gardens. The showers didn’t have a lot of pressure. Upon arrival, there was a little pressure to sit through a “ownership” meeting, and I received a few texts, but they weren’t too terribly pushy so it wasn’t too bad.

- Kelly (8/5): Christmas at Governor's Green - The resort was beautiful and central to great restaurants, shopping, and activities. The staff was friendly and professional. The Christmas decorations were very festive and beautiful. Love the firepit. The King size bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable. Woke up with back pain.

- Wander33381865111 (8/5): Family and friends getaway. - Nice resort but needs renovation. Activities are outstanding. Close to a lot of attractions. Family friendly.
- kimberlymE5629YI (2/5): Unethical sales experience - I recently attended a sales meeting that turned out to be one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had as a long-time Wyndham owner. My sales rep, initially seemed pleasant and understanding when I said I wasn’t interested. However, she repeatedly misled me—claiming she was “getting my exit paperwork” while continuing to push new sales pitches that I had already declined.
During this time, my mother was in the lobby trying to reach me (she’d forgotten her phone). Staff refused to let her speak with me and even threatened to call the authorities if she tried to come back to the meeting room. She was in tears by the time I was finally allowed to leave.
This treatment is completely unacceptable—especially toward a 20-year VIP owner. I’ve contacted Wyndham multiple times and keep receiving the same empty apology and promise that someone will follow up, yet no one ever does.
I sincerely hope this is investigated and corrected so no other guests have to go through something like this.
- Frugalmama57 (10/5): Highly recommend - Our two weeks at Governor's Green was one of the best ever. It is so comfortable here and the grounds are gorgeous. The beds are heavenly. The location is perfect. They have a nice heated indoor pool. The adult pool called the Tranquil pool was closed for the season and the family outdoor pool was found to be not operable the day we arrived. But they kept the pool area open so one could use the indoor pool for swimming then sun oneself on the lounges on the deck. We were told it was heated but did not get to experience that. We would definitely return when ready to visit this area again.
- 998waynek (8/5): Good place to stay but pushy @ checkin - Place was good, clean could use some updating in the units not very comfortable living room furniture. We had to much sale pitch when checking in which is typical of RCI related resorts.
- John (10/5): - 2 bedrooms with their own bathrooms was great!
- FamilyTraveler1969 (10/5): Spacious, comfortable and well-mainatined units - Stayed here five nights as part of a time-share exchange. Although the apartments have somewhat dated decor and appliances, everything was clean, quiet and in good working condition. The kitchens are very well equipped (even a blender!) and the units are spacious and comfortable, with fast wifi and a porch or balcony. The grounds are well-maintained and offer plenty of amenities (BBQ grills, playgrounds, etc). The staff is friendly and welcoming (even when we declined the usual timeshare pitch). The shower corners had some water damage and that was the only blemish to an otherwise enjoyable stay.
- Anthony (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay! The staff was great, the unit was fantastic, and the property was lovely.
- CarverC0831 (10/5): Vacation, a real one, where I actually went somewhere, and did stuff :-) - I had a awesome relaxing experience with the outstanding service and professionalism you would come to expect. I want to personally recognize Daniel Fisher for the warm welcome at check in after a 14 hour drive.
- Charles (7/5): - Everything was clean and great location. Could not get a extended stay
- rebecca (10/5): - I can't say enough about how incredibly wonderful the front desk staff and the manager of the Governor's Green are.
We we're only there for two nights
- Rosa (10/5): Confortable - Todo las piscinas los cuartos
- stephanie (3/5): Very inconvenient to be there and plan activities with no internet services. - The unit was spacious and very clean. The resort did not have internet for an entire week. There seemed to be no priority to get services enabled.
- lisamX8887AA (2/5): Dirty! High pressure! - We spent a week at Governors Greene in August 2025. This is the dirtiest resort in the Wyndham system. WiFi was down for the entire week. The concierge would not take no for an answer when I declined the offer to attend a sales meeting. I would strenuously advise you not to choose this property.
- Aisha (10/5): - Everything was amazing can't wait to go back 😌
- dasmidl (10/5): Williamsburg - Very clean and centrally located to historical sites with easy access to food options. The full kitchen was completely stocked with high quality items.
- Matthew (10/5): Wonderful! - Pool was great! The cool tone LED lights hurt my eyes!
- cphubbell (6/5): Should have been a good review - This is a nice resort, well located, nice pool and amenities Management’s attitude made it very unpleasant and I specifically told them my review would not be kind. I had to wait 90 minutes for our room to accommodate getting 2 rooms near each other for our family coming the next day.. that room was assigned to someone else and the manager’s answer was it was not correctly flagged, that nothing else could be done and it was my fault for wanting a specific room which was totally untrue. I wasnt looking for a monetary settlement but the words of we are sorry were never spoken. Just not good customer service and a bad experience is talked avout morw than a good one
- Becky (10/5): - Beautiful property. Really nice condo which was perfect for our family
- Aubrey (10/5): - This property was beautiful and well maintained. The check- in process was short and staff was very helpful. The 2 bedroom condo was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. I liked that TVs were in the bedrooms as well living room area. Kitchen had all necessaries. We were there for 2 nights and didn’t get a chance to experience property amenities. I would return and recommend to others.
- 540tahirq (2/5): - Disappointed – No Response Despite Being a Wyndham Silver Member
I recently stayed here for a vacation and had a very disappointing experience with the customer service. After checking out, I realized I had left my watch behind. I immediately called and left multiple messages, but never received a single response.
Just to mention — I’m a Wyndham Silver member, and this is the level of service I received. No courtesy, no follow-up, and no accountability. What should have been a pleasant trip ended on a frustrating and sour note. Very poor and unacceptable service.
- Mattie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ricky (10/5): Exceptional -
- 848maxg (10/5): Great location! - We have stayed in Williamsburg before, but this location is much better than any we've had. Close to historic sites (30 minutes was the farthest, 10 was closest) as well as a plethora of restaurants (Sal's is amazing!) and Busch Gardens. Staff were very friendly and accommodating! Oh, grocery store also within 10 minutes (maybe 5 actually) of the property. When we go back to Williamsburg, this will be our spot!
- sflgatormom (2/5): Timeshare Scam - Don't do it. This is a Timeshare SCAM. We booked here as part of a wedding weekend trip. We prepaid and we honestly thought it was a hotel. The traffic was bad, we arrived late around 5:45 pm and had a rehearsal dinner at 6:30pm. I went to check in and they "claimed " my room wasn't ready and we needed to speak with the " concierge". Who immediately starts telling you about this awesome opportunity for a free vacation. I kept saying I need my room keys as I have to be at the rehearsal dinner. I told her several times I need my room keys and what do I have to do to get them? Well once you agree to attend the Timeshare presentation "magically" they have a room for you. But they charge you a "refundable" $60 fee to attend the presentation. As we were there for a wedding, we had ZERO time for anything so I asked to cancel the next morning with the manager Allie. I was told NO it's to reserve your spot for TOMORROW. I said I won't be able to attend, I'm sure you can fill my spot and it says refundable. She said well it's not unless you attend. This is a HORRIBLE BUSINESS MODEL. I Would Never Trust a Company who does Business This way. I have never seen anything like it.
- Jen (10/5): - Very friendly staff, clean room and lots to do
- David (10/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): - Wonderful
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Room was great for a family trip. Large space and very comfortable.
- Lucretia (10/5): My stay was Awesome! - Location was perfect. Lots of restaurants to choose from. The room was immaculate and the environment was peaceful. The grounds were perfectly done and the staff was awesome. Always smiles. I loved that. There were activities planned every same for a few hours which was pleasant. We went for relaxation and that is what we got. We did not use the pools, recreation room or cookout grounds but saw guest enjoying those activities and happy in using these amenities. Would suggest the check-in would put a sign on building that says check-in because the entrance guard was not there when we arrived and has to keep stopping and asking other guest where was the check because there were also no sign on the roads to show which direction to find checkin. Other than that PERFECT
- colleen (10/5): Wonderful vacation with one exception - The resort was wonderful. We only encountered one problem on check-in. We were told that we were scheduled for a meeting to get familiar with the Wyndham property for possible future purposes. It sounded like a timeshare trap. There was nothing mentioned about this on hotels.com when I booked our reservation. The staff was persistent that I attend the meeting, but I refused.
- Chris (10/5): Great stay, super affordable and clean - Had a great stay during spring break, resort wasn’t crowded, extremely affordable for a 3 bedroom unit. The kids loved the endless minigolf.
The room was super clean , not a single bug found during the entire stay. The one room facing the walkway was rather bright at night even with the curtains closed.
Location is right near a bunch of affordable dinning options . Crackle Barrel and other restaurants around the corner.
The lady at the gatehouse was super friendly .
Also the grills at the playground and pavilions was a super cool concept, I didn’t use them but saw others, I was curious their condition and they were pretty much spotless
- Marjorie (10/5): Girls trip - A few minor problems that maintenance fixed quicklly and he was so friendly.
- vatravlers (10/5): Nice location - Resort is close to Colonial Williamsburg and an easy drive to Jamestown and Yorktown. Located close to many restaurants on Richmond Road and Monticello Drive. Grocery stores located near by also. Resort has a very nice pool area. Enjoyed the putt putt course and the fire pit. Great location to visit the Colonial Triangle area.
- Deltricia (10/5): Exceptional -
- RubynealEvansP (8/5): Williamsburg - Excellent accommodations, well maintained grounds and friendly professional staff. Very near area sights and historic locations, (Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. Also near Bush Gardens.
- Donna (10/5): Family getaway weekend. - Location, clean, comfy beds, nice staff. Honestly can't think of anything.
- Willette (8/5): - The property was well manicured it was a comfortable stay. My only compluant would be them trying to sit through sine sort of pitch to gain gifts after i saud i wasn't intetested they still chose to text me. This was bothersome because i was inly there for a couple of days to relax.eith that being said. I wil.still chose to stay there again. It's a nice rssort.
- Bonnylin (6/5): small details make a difference! - Nice resort but the linens on the bed were awful. They were scratchy with deep wrinkles ironed in them, making them uncomfortable. The TV in one of the bedrooms got only 4 channels
- cosveg0133 (10/5): Travel into History - We had a wonderful time at Governors Green. We had been looking forward to this trip for a long time. We explored Williamsburg, Jamestown a nearby plantation, Busch Gardens and other local attractions and activities. The resort staff were extremely helpful with advice on local attractions, and helped us navigate to the places we most wanted to see. They helped u to avoid the frustration that comes with navigating an unfamiliar area and unfamiliar roads. The program of activities at the resort also made our stay more enjoyable.
- Patricia (9/5): Wonderful stay in a lovely area. - We really didn't use the facilities but there certainly appears to be more than enough to entertain oneself.
Front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. Overall, a wonderful property and, great condo and lovely stay. great location to Williamsburg and other activities.
Condo could use some updating but certainly not an issue.
- Sum (10/5): - Nice place to stay
- Christen (9/5): Superb -
- belangergreg (10/5): Happy travelers - Very nice resort with friendly and helpful staff. Very clean, well maintained units with everything you need for a weeklong stay. Plenty of activities to keep your family entertained (indoor/outdoor pools, indoor/outdoor hot tubs, miniature golf, tennis, basketball and walking paths.
- rmmannjr (8/5): Not Gold Crown, but Silver - Gold crown is tops in RCI, it's close, but more like silver...no view, but units spacious and well appointed...soaker jacuzzi tub a plus, so was pool table at activities center...work out room fairly good two...kitchen well equipped and nice layout...outdoor pool looked nice and bug, indoor smallish...has mini golf and tennis pluses too
- Stan (8/5): We had a good vacation. - It was clean and comfortable and in a great location We asked to have shower door fixed; it didn't roll easily. It wasn't fixed.
Definitely did not like the sales presentation from Club Wyndham. Felt the sales management team was not respectful of our time
- Reneasha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marcey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacqueline (10/5): - 3 bedroom suite was very comfortable and roomy!
- Thomas (9/5): Superb -
- nancy (8/5): - Very nice , clean property . We enjoyed our 2 night stay
- Monique (9/5): Superb -
- Swenson (10/5): Wonderful girls weekend with all the amenities a girl could want! - Everything was clean, and the kitchen was wonderful for cooking and had most if not all items I needed. The window fell down onto one of the beds. If we had been in the bed it could have hurt us very bad. I would expect the window to be fixed before we come back again.
- Moseley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fanya (10/5): - Everything was perfect from the easy and welcoming check in through the check out
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sdbc74 (10/5): Exceptional - location the deers
- JuKisha2025 (8/5): Peace and Tranquility - The area is peaceful and beautifully maintained, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The natural surroundings create a sense of tranquility, making it the perfect destination for relaxation. The view is absolutely breathtaking, with stunning landscapes that provide a picturesque backdrop for your stay. Whether it's the sight of the sun rising over the woods or the gentle waves lapping at the lake, every moment feels like a postcard come to life.
Despite being surrounded by multiple resorts, the atmosphere is so calm that it almost feels like you have the place to yourself. There aren't many thrilling activities or nightlife options, so it may not be ideal for those seeking adventure, but for someone looking to unwind, it’s the perfect spot. Whether you prefer lounging by the water, taking a peaceful walk, or simply soaking in the beauty of nature, this destination provides the ultimate setting to recharge.
I would definitely return for the sheer relaxation and tranquility this place offers. It’s a hidden gem for those who appreciate a slower pace and the chance to disconnect from the outside world while enjoying breathtaking scenery.
- Vance (10/5): Exceptional -
- ALESHIA (10/5): - The property was clean and safe.
- Mb613 (10/5): Exceptional - The location is not far from premium outlets and Captain George's. There wasn't anything not to like...
- paul (8/5): Don’t do the timeshare meeting - Great, but don’t go to the timeshare meeting. 90 minutes turned into over 2 hours, said no 10 tones to 3 different people with a common response of I can’t accept that unless it mashes sense, and your reasons don’t mage sense.
- Stanley (10/5): The greatest - My stay was exactly what it meant to be wonderful and very special and lovely!
- Eugene (10/5): - Nice and clean me and the family enjoyed our stay plan to come back in the near future
- Pamela (10/5): Excellent memory-making time! - The condo was so nice and the location is perfect.
