Nice and quiet hotel. Stored our bags until check in. Car parking ticket ran out at 10am on our last day, get a bit early. Man on reception when we arrived could have been friendlier, bit frosty. Rest of staff were great.

• Stephen (8/5): Perfect location for exploring Whitby but be prepared for a long walk to your car. - Excellent hotel in the centre of Whitby. Very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was superb. Car parking not available unless you're lucky enough to find a gap in one of the side streets to be able to use the pass the hotel issues. We couldn't at midnight! Sadly, like many British hotels these days, you can't get a nightcap as the bar shuts early, but that's something we've learned to expect.

• Claire (9/5): Just Lovely!! - A really lovely place. Great location. Very clean, on entering the hotel & our room. Staff were so helpful & friendly. We even got a teeny sea view from our room window!? Room facilities were great, shower was lovely & powerful, bed was comfy. Really nice bar area too. The only negative I have, & its almost negligible ….. when we arrived, at 12.30, we were meeting friends. We asked where the bar was, so we could get a drink & wait for our friends. Unfortunately, the bar didnt open until 4pm. As i said teeny negative, & lets face it, Whitby is NOT short of pubs/bars. The reception staff recommended a pub that we hadn’t actually been to before (The Fleece) we slowly made our way there, stopping at The Angel (amongst many others) literally across the road from the Resolution.

• Diane (8/5): A pleasant stay in the heart of Whitby. - Impeccably clean. Well located in the centre of town. The scratchy ticket for free parking in select streets in the area is a great incentive to stay at a hotel that can’t provide its own parking.

• Mrs Catherine Boyd (7/5): Comfortable, good location - The bed was very comfortable and a lovely view from the room,friendly staff Would have liked a glass in the room and a bottle of water would have been wonderful, a small fridge
• Susan (8/5): - The room was as shown.very spacious. Very warm clean and Breakfast was good with a variety of cereal and fruits and a choice off the menu. Staff friendly and helpful only down fall only was not enough coffee with breakfast The jacuzzi, bath was very narrow and over flowed when used. No leaflets or things to do information or guides etc
• Margaret (8/5): Perfect location, wonderful hotel. - It was in a good location and the property was modern and felt like it was worth more than what we paid for it. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was really nice especially the shower. We stayed on the bottom floor and were awoken by the sound of kegs being delivered/ taken away at 7am Monday morning which did ruin are stay slightly.
• Dorothea (10/5): The Resolution Hotel. - Very nice friendly staff, who made sure that everything for your stay was provided. 1 of the double rooms was very small. I think it really was designed for a single accommodation. The en suite bathroom had a very lovely, large walk in shower. But getting around the rest of the room was really tight.
• Ecclestone (10/5): - The location, attention to detail, overall design is beautiful Parking is tough but it is the price to pay for.location. Parking passes given by hotel but it can get packed and difficult to find a spot

• Alan Clements (10/5): Excellent room outstanding features and comfort - The room was outstanding ... Very large and very comfortable The lighting was also very good ... Unlike many rooms. The hotel is in a quiet street and about 10 minutes walk from the centre The room was very clean and well organised and the coffee/tee facilities better than average. It would be hard to find a better room. There was some noise (music) from the bar below in the evening. It was low level and not a problem.

• Charlotte (8/5): A lovely quiet stay in Whitby - Location was fantastic and the area was quiet. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, the staff were helpful and friendly. Overall we wanted a quiet, no hassle stay and that is exactly what we got. Nothing we didn't like. This isn't a five star, all amenities hotel. The room was exactly what was described and exactly what we wanted. If you like the look of it online, you'll be more than happy.

• Nigel (8/5): The Resolution whitby - The location .Breakfast was really nice and excellent staff . The bed mattress was far too soft, too small for a couple. Didn't sleep well due to the fear of falling out. No hand towels just bath towels . Reception told us they were trying to save on laundry costs ? And no bottles of water which costs next to nothing!

• Heather Reid (9/5): Perfect stay - Perfect location. Amazing view. Very comfortable bed. Only downside was that there is no car park. However, you get a ticket for free parking and I got parked very close by. Don't let this put you off
