ΑΡΤΕΜΙΣ (8/5): - Δύσκολη η ανάβαση στο κατάλυμα, αλλά σε αποζημίωνε η θέα! Η ησυχία και η ηρεμία του τοπίου! Ο περιορισμός στη χρήση της πισίνας, μετά τις 10 το πρωί και μέχρι τις 20:00 το βράδυ! Το πρωϊνό δεν ανταποκρινόταν στην τιμή του καταλύματος! Τα πιάτα, τα τρόφιμα και τα κουβέρ ήταν τοποθετημένα στο έπιπλο της reception/εισόδου!
Roumbina (8/5): Looks can be deceiving. - Location this place gets a 10 out of 10. The grounds were gorgeous and the pool was amazing. The view from the top of this hill was spectacular. Unfortunately the external beauty of this place is where it stops. Because of this place’s remote location and extremely steep steep ascent to get there you are kind of reliant on being able to get something to eat or snack on the grounds and we were led to believe that even though we couldn’t get some lunch because the person who did the meal prep was not present. Someone would be available to cook or make something from 3.30pm. So we hung around the pool and swam and waited till 3:30pm we then asked could we order something even something simple like a club sandwich which they had on a menu board on the desk and we were informed that no nobody was available to cook and we wouldn’t be able to order anything. This was extremely inconvenient and we had to get out of the pool get washed up and dressed and go down into town to get something to eat. The room was pretty ordinary. There were no products/toiletries in the bathroom as was shown in images on Booking.com the mattress was very hard and the room was not very soundproof. We woken up to sounds of the breakfast preparation in the kitchen downstairs. Even though I ate breakfast indoors, I had to share my breakfast with the bees and wasps because they leave both the glass door and the door that leads to outside open so these were coming in. Breakfast was ordinary nothing that screams luxury as states in the name. I wanted to love this place but sadly we left a tad unhappy. The scary narrow road leading up and down from this accommodation was the final straw for us when leaving after checking out we encountered a car coming up this crazy dangerous road and we battled to get them to understand they needed to go back so we could pass because we couldn’t reverse back up the hill whereas they could reverse down the hill. Too many negatives for me to be able to really recommend this place.

Itamar (8/5): The hotel was beutiful but there was no staff to help us during the evening. - The host was nice, we arrived early and the rooms were ready for us. The hotel is beautiful and has a great view. It has a big, clean pool and the garden around it was welcoming. Breakfast was nice and we were welcome to eat at the porch next to the pool. When we arrived we were informed there is an option to order food till 19:00, but in fact that wasn't the case, the hotel had no staff during the evening, and we could not even get access to the kitchen to get bowls or forks so we could not even eat our yogurt. as the hotel is located at the top of a hill access to the beach restaurants was limited in the evening. Also, we complained about our refrigerator not working, but it wasn't fixed by the time we left (two days later).

michelle (10/5): - Stunning location. Very quiet. Katerina the owner was very friendly. My room was nice and clean, with a veranda over looking the lovely pool, and breathtaking sea views, towards Agistri. There's a great buffet breakfast too. To get this view, you have to drive up a mountain road. We did, in a small automatic car, no problem. If you want a relaxing holiday, this is the place. It's 10 minutes drive from Aegina port. And very a central location, if you want to visit Agios Nektarios monastery or Agia Marina beach. I'll definitely go back. X
Dimitrios (2/5): Worst host i have ever meet - Very nice pool and sunbeds area, nice property, clean and the staff (not the host) were very friendly and helpful I am using the booking app and site for very long time. It was the first time my payment declined when host tried to take the money so i had to deposit via bank. It looked weird to me but i later understood that the host is just trying to save as much money she can or has no idea how to handle customers. Have been literally to hundreds of properties around the world but she was the worst host ever for me. I have paid for 3 nights. Last day i decided that i will try to leave the island earlier. I informed the host that i will probably leave earlier and checked out. I could just leave the keys in and go without inform anyone but i wanted to be polite and helpful. I finally didn’t manage to find a ticket to leave the island and at 9pm (when last ship departed ) i called the host to inform that i didn’t manage to leave, i’m on the island without somewhere to stay and i want to use the room if possible as i have also paid for it. With no empathy host replied that it is not possible and informed me that my room has been given to someone else and there are no rooms available (Sunday night when 6 rooms were left just from friends of mine and i also saw another at least 3 rooms checking out with me in the morning). I found another hotel to stay using booking app, of course before that i checked Marini and there was room available in the app which i could pay again and get. I didn’t and i would never support a host like that. Outside of that, in negatives i could say that the last kilometer to the property is a very big ascent with terrible road that is very hard to access with a “normal” car, and the breakfast was not great.

Goran (10/5): - Appartman is on very good place.The small problem is that only few taxi will you bring there but Kristina will give you phone numbers of taxis cab who will take care of you. Ride cost €20.
Marius (3/5): Poor - The view from the courtyard was absolutely breathtaking, making it a perfect spot to relax and take in the scenery. The kids' playground was a fantastic addition, and our little one loved spending time there. We didn't get a chance to try out the pool, but it looked great. The building itself had a charming feel to it, and we really appreciated the convenience of having an EV charging option via PPC Blue. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't as pleasant as we hoped. The road leading up to the property was incredibly narrow, barely allowing for one car, even though it’s a two-way road. We had to reverse quite a bit when cars came down from the hill. Our room was located behind the reception, and it felt more like a staff accommodation rather than a guest room. The bathroom seemed like it hadn’t been updated since the 60s, and the beds were quite uncomfortable. Being close to the kitchen also made it a bit noisy. Lastly, the receptionist barely spoke any English, which made communication difficult. We were expecting more given the location and overall potential of the property.

Boingotlo (6/5): - We struggled to get a taxi to the property as every driver at the port refused to go there siting "terrible road" . We spent 4 hours at the port due to this. My advice will be to contact the property a day in advance as there is only 4 taxi drivers in the island who will go there. this was unfortunate as the property is amazing with wonderful views and a fantastic pool! I wish the location was better. The host was very helpful though. Breakfast limited. I would have given it better review if it wasn't for transportation issues.

The pool is very nice and the staff is both kind and willing to help. The food at the bar is also really nice. Don’t be scared about the road, it is completely worthwhile. Sophie (6/5): - Beautiful property and views are spectacular. Very well maintained but location is a bit out of the way from the hub of town. That being said it’s the only way to get these incredible views. Road to property could be challenging for some but nothing out of the ordinary for Greece.

Zied (8/5): - Nice views from the common area and Villa terrace, the room was with no views at all. Overall, the place is a piece of heaven due to the calm and serenity (if you are coming to relax) and especially the best view that you can get in all AEGINA, but if you want to explore th island you need to be motorized or rent a bike or select one of the tours.
Suzanne (10/5): - Such a great property for a quiet get away. The view is AMAZING. The pool is massive and our children loved it. We rented a car so we could come and go easily. We didn't need a 4x4 to get to the property but it is a steep climb, but nothing we couldn't handle. Go slowly and you will be fine. If you want to use a taxi I noticed others did that to get around. I know the front desk have specific drivers they work with, bc not all taxi companies will go to that property bc of the steep climb. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast, so can't comment to that. We had the top floor room and it had a full kitchen so we just stocked up and used that.
Britney (10/5): - Amazing service and beautiful property. Appreciated the breakfast. The area is around a 10 minute drive from the main port and city. Property is very secluded nothing to really walk to but overall the stay was great. One comment would be that there was some small bugs found in the restroom

Danni (10/5): A beautiful paradise - Marino was an absolute paradise. The view was stunning and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We loved our stay here. The cons to having such a beautiful view, is the drive up. It’s worth noting that anyone who wants to stay here should be prepared to drive, but the reward at the top is worth it. The road initially is a bit of a shock but you adapt to driving on it quickly, and it’s only around 4 minutes where you are on this road.
Elias (10/5): Beautiful place in Aegina - Beautiful location! Wonderful view over Aegina you will have every morning. You will not get bored of it even if staying several days or a week. Surrounding completely peaceful and quiet. Everything is well maintained and the staff is very friendly and willing to help making your vacation even better. I can recommend renting an e-bike or scooter as the location is up on a hill. Breakfast is a small buffet with enough slices for our taste. We enjoyed it ! We had a fantastic time and the pool is giving you the refreshment you need after getting up the hill ;)

Oyvind (7/5): A very beautiful place, but far away from everything. Difficult to get there and lack of service. - We loved the scene, the pool, the area and view. Just outstanding place to chill 100 prosent. A brilliant place to escape from everything and just cool down. The service. It was only one person that served at the breakfast. It was not possible to take bread, ham or juice yourself. Everytime you wanted something, you had to ask, and the lady serving was to busy with everyone. Why not just put the breakfast on a table, and let everyone pick up what they want, like any other place? The other bad thing with this is that you are in the middle of nowhere. Far away from anything else, and going there is like driving on a road you never belive would be a road. Its really bumby, and just forget the idea of walking down to the town.
Aram (8/5): we reserved a queen room and ocean view,but we got a small room without the ocean view - It was beautiful location. It was too far from the center. It's very difficult to get around without a car.

Hanan (5/5): Passable - The breakfast was o.k. but it was a lot of processed and packaged food. The pool was truly lovely. The broken safety deposit box that was never fixed, the broken shower head in the two rooms we rented (which were changed) and the shutters which were broken two days in to our trip that we had to keep up with the light streaming through and waking us up early in the morning. Except for the shower head we had to put up with the discomfort of the light streaming through the shutters and a broken safety box. The hotel is most definitely not a spa, and it is need of MAJOR maintenance and care. The owner is smiley and nice enough but besides the beautiful plot of land and swimming, the hotel, which can only be reached by a treacherous very tight one way gravelled road the hotel is far from ideal and has a very very long way to go to becoming what it claims to be: it is neither luxurious, nor are the rooms suites as such. They have a fridge, but nothing else, not even a water kettle and mugs, a basic at most hotels! When I asked for a kettle I was given a beaten up kettle that I had to keep my finger on the click button for it work. The very few staff are nice enough but clearly overworked, it is sad to see as the hotel has a lot of potential. Finally, we had booked a room with a seaview, what we got was a dark room on the ground floor on the same level as the pool, iff you stepped out on to a fenced area that was supposed to act as a patio you could if you squinted see the sea view. In all this hotel is nothing like it is advertised, it's location and the difficulty of reaching it should be stated clearly on its website, or it should be attended to.

Teletin (10/5): The best location în Aegina - From the begining , the host Katerina wait for us with a warm smile and calm. She ensure that we get everything we want. The view of location is gorgeous and they offer a huge outside pool. It is a very clean accomodation! Just wait to return!

Elizabete (9/5): Great place for vacation! - Beautiful view from the top, pool and garden! Perfect place for calm vacation. The only way to get to the hotel was by taxi. Breakfast was average - eggs, bread, cheese, juice, jogurt, hot drink.
Simon (6/5): Up a steep hillside, unusual breakfast style ... - beware!!! This hotel is on top of a steep hillside. We arrived at the post and NO taxi driver would take us up there! We called the hotel at our expense and the owner thought it funny! My husband didnt! She gave us a taxi number to call to get up there... 1.5 hours later he showed up.. Such a pity she didnt think to alert us to this fact and give us the phone number ahead of arrival! This hotel has 5 cats the owner reminded us that it was their family home.. so we had to keep the door onto balcony closed otherwise they would come in and husband is very allergic.. Not sure what the plan was at breakfast it was really what they brought you.. I was Gluten free so limited choice ... you never really knew what would be served which was a bit off putting. The Ukranian ladies were very sweet and happy to try and undertsand, they couldnt speak much greek or Ukranian and their English was limited so we used google translate into Ukranian. This stay was challenging... and for the price we were disappointed.. Don't book this hotel without a car the road is rather challenging to tourists (not to locals, unless a port taxi in a Merc!).

Verified traveler (2/5): - The hotelier told me when I arrived that the hotel was shut owing to a covid outbreak, and that she would take me to a different hotel instead. (I am familiar with the hotel she wanted to send me to and it is not somewhere I would be willing to stay because it’s not nice eniugh). I said I’d like a refund and would find my choice of hotel instead (the one she suggested is nowhere near of equivalent standard or price). She then said she’d actually lied and there was in fact no Covid, but her hotel was just too quiet for my stay to be worth her while economically. She said that if I insisted on not going to the nasty hotel she would not refund me and would tell Expedia I had failed to turn up (even though I had taken a photo of her to prove my arrival.) This hotel should be removed from Expedia because the hotelier is dishonest - her behaviour was genuinely shocking. It’s clear she’d done a deal with the grotty hotel to take me there, pay them their lower rate and trouser the difference. Avoid booking here at all costs! I still don’t have my money back and had to pay for my stay in an alternative hotel.

Gina (6/5): Pleasant - Beautiful place with amazing view and pool very serene. It was far from town or port. If you didn't have a car you couldn't go anywhere, no bus went up there so you had to take a cab to go down which would cost 12-15 euros each way and only a few cabs went up there.

Paraskevi (6/5): nice hotel with lovely hostess but a few things could be improved - really nice location, nice swimming pool, lovely hostess and staff. property is quite remote and the road is quite uphill so a bit scary to drive up there. didn’t have WiFi signal in the room but might have been my phone, too the door of the room and the door to the balcony were not always working properly breakfast was good but could be better in the future. orange juice could be from actual oranges and not store bought, jam and honey could be from locally sourced producers bread could be from the baker and not sliced, etc

Canadian (8/5): Beautiful views - We loved this quiet and luxurious hotel on the mountain top with its beautiful views, majestic pool and excellent breakfast. The staff was spectacular and the rooms were modern and comfortable. The road to access the hotel is not very easy to climb up by car nor by foot. You do get used to it after a few days though. Also several taxi drivers may refuse to take you up there given the tight dirt road leading up to this wonderful hotel.
