• Culture45336816854 (10/5): Great family girls night spa stay - Wonderful family girls' night away for my Mum, my sister and myself. Loved the indoor pool, infrared sauna, steam room and spa facilities. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a great location right by the pool and well equipped kitchenette. Beautiful estuary loop walk from our cabin to the beach and back through native bush. Highly recommend. Peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Surrounded by native Bush and birdsong. Delicious continental breakfast with wonderful variety of homemade kai. Ngā mihi nui.

• R3093TIlindat (10/5): Fabulous Resort - We had a wonderful stay at Kimi Ora and absolutely loved it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the views were amazing, and the sauna and steam room were a real highlight. We also booked a spa session, which was perfect. The on-site restaurant serves fantastic food, so there was no need to leave the resort. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped, even with cooking facilities, which made our stay even more comfortable.

The night glowworm circuit was like a fairyland !

However, it is on the pricey side so I would expect it to be up to date - some basic upgrades are definitely overdue. For example, one of the two spas didnt have any jets working and the shower handle in our room fell off.

• MurrayT798 (10/5): Great experience. - Booked no. 17 chalet, 4 b/r for family reunion. Very well equipped and comfortable - 2 bathrooms however 1 shower was very small, not designed for bigger guests. Resort is on the side of a bush-covered hill with great views of the estuary and beach, quite steep access to the pools/restaurant etc from some rooms including ours which proved difficult for people with mobility issues, there are lots of bush tracks leading in all directions which are very nice. The heated pool and spas were great and many treatment services available including a free yoga session. Overall a great experience, of course quite expensive, however an amazing breakfast is included in the rate.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. Good standard of cleanliness and the bed making was superb, with added extras of Origami, chocolates and a birthday card. Breakfast was beautifully laid out and delicious. Love the pool, spa and sauna. A resort with attention to details.

• Curiosity783783 (2/5): hotel only reachable by boot at some days - we could not reach the hotel by car as planed because the surrounding streets as well as the street directly to the hotel have been changed into rivers - we have informed the hotel by email that we are cancelling the room by this reason at around 3 oclock in the afternoon - some hours later the hotel replyed that now the streets are open again and other guests are arriving - so the didn´t accept the cancelling and charged the full amount.....

We booked different rooms (all that was available) and the staff were great moving our luggage and offering an early check back in. Good breakfast and very comfortable rooms. Only suggestion would be storage for outdoor furniture cushions as following heavy rain the cushions were soaked.

Jederzeit wieder! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Wellnessbereich ist zwar schon in die Jahre gekommen, aber trotzdem schön. Als kleiner Vebesserungsvorschlag fällt mir lediglich ein, dass Moskitonetze an den Fenstern von Vorteil wären.

• Barbro (10/5): Wonderful place to wind down and relax! - Fantastic place! We loved our short stay and wish we could have spent more time here. A little complicated to get to without a car but we figured out how using buses and taxi. The location is beautiful with a nice view and walking trails. The beach with the park shuttle boats is walking distance downhill. The included breakfast was delicious and we also had two delicious dinners at the vegetarian restaurant. The staff were very nice! Would love to come back! That we had to leave so soon!

• Explore24204626035 (10/5): Chillaxation - This was our second visit as a couple to Kimi Ora. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay on both occasions. The facilities and service are fantastic, on this visit we dined at the vegetarian restuarant which offered excetional food and a great wine list. I have no reservations in recommending Kimi Ora to anyone of any age group. If you want to chill this is the place. Steve Lawson

• Sally (9/5): Nice, friendly eco lodge overlooking the beach at Kaiteriteri. Peace and quiet when you have it in amongst the pine tree - Beautiful position overlooking the beach at Kaiteriteri. Nice wooden lodges with balconies, with well fitted, spacious interiors. It’s on quite a steep slope, you need to be reasonably fit if you get one of the higher rooms like we did room 20. They are not at all insulated for sound. You can hear every word your neighbours are saying.
• Isabel (8/5): Loved our stay and definitely recommend the place, it would’ve been a 10/10 if the bathroom drained better - We loved the peaceful environment and the pool facilities were great. Very handy with the maps provided to all the walks and to see the glow worms. We definitely recommend the place The only downside with the property was the poor drain system in the shower. It was a disability access room so it had an open shower and with it not draining quickly it meant you had to stand in water that was washing up next to the toilet which wasn’t the greatest. Had to have very quick showers as it felt like the bathroom would flood into the lounge

• Phil (9/5): Eco Kimi offers ecostay in Abel Tasman - Lovely, clean property with views of the bay. We were able to walk down to the little town for dinners. Hiking into Able Tasman was fun and easy. Enjoyed our stay!
• endoriel15 (10/5): The perfect stay - We had an amazing stay at Kimi Ora. We had a beautiful bungalow with the view on the shore, a jacuzzi and a very very confortable bed. Breakfast was delicious, everything else was perfect !
• HolidayPleaseToday (6/5): Unique experience but wouldn’t return - Stayed in a studio room. The good: lovely staff, location 15 min walk from the beach, clean rooms and lovely balcony. Breakfast was fresh but unfortunately restaurant is closed both nights of our stay so can’t comment. Not so good: rustic timber cabins are basic creaking constantly and don’t keep the noise from the cabin next door. Our neighbours in cabin 4 both seem to have had a good time in the late evening finishing their activities together 😳 . We also shared their conversation on their success and the Apple Watch alarms at 7am. Amenities in the room are basic. Facilities around the pool need a refresh.

• M7971WEsuel (10/5): Stunning Eco lodge - Fabulous location in accommodation that lives up to its name. We enjoyed 2 nights at this wonderful venue, enjoying the stunning views from our balcony. We went on walks near the accommodation and watch a Tui feeding in front of us and watched as Pūkeko wandered by. We enjoyed the pool and spa facilities and were lucky enough to join a complementary yoga session .
• Craig (9/5): Great view, nice room. 15 mins walk to beach - Great view over the bay, lovely breakfast. Private rooms. Enjoyed the pool & spa area. Further from the beach than I thought. 15 min walk, down a steep hill. (A challenge in flip flops coming back up from the beach) No microwave.
• mad22London (10/5): Great stay in a lovely town. Highly recommend - A lovely overnight stay in this lovely town. The resort was amazing. Our chalet was clean and very comfortable. Staff v friendly. The continental breakfast was v welcome. Swimming in the sea was fab.

Tolles Frühstück inklusive - für Neuseeland nach unserer Erfahrung außergewöhnlich gut. Nicht gefallen trifft es nicht. Allerdings wird ausgewiesen, dass hier die Möglichkeit für Gäste besteht Wäsche zu waschen und zu trocknen. Dies ist auch korrekt. Allerdings steht für alle Gäste zusammen nur eine Waschmaschine zur Verfügung. Das ist bei der Anzahl der Zimmer sehr wenig.

• Felix Johnny (9/5): Excellent base - The location and surroundings and facilities make for a great stay. If you like your massages and saunas and swimming pools and yoga, it is even more appealing. The facilities with the spa comes with very generous opening times. The breakfast and the views from the restaurant are excellent. It can be a good base to explore Abel Tasman national park or make for a relaxing resort stay as well. I was subtly told I overpaid for the stay in booking.com. Heard the same for another guest checking in as well. Might well be the case, but it isn't a great starting point and people can have their reasons with cancellation policies, keeping all booking in one place etc.

• Michelle (9/5): Looking 10 years younger and feeling deeply relaxed after one night stay. - The quality of the health spa services and the lovely people. The barefoot walk is good, the glow worm night walk is well worth it, lots of glow worms. The organic garden is impressive. When you are travelling to stay it would be good to be able to use the spa for a full day on your first or check out day.

• louisehE2705QM (10/5): Fabulous relaxing stay - Amazing views from the balcony at the Eco Lodge, we had a spa room & loved every minute of our 2 night stay. We didn’t use the pool area as happy relaxing on the comfortable sun loungers on our balcony looking at the views down to the waters edges in Kaiteriteri. We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed during our visit but the receptionist told us about several other options. In the end we just walked the 25 mins into the village & ate at The Beached Whale which was fine. The glow worm dell walk after dark was amazing. Little touches like a torch & umbrellas to get to the restaurant for breakfast were appreciated. A very relaxing stay.

• Cheryl (9/5): - We stayed in the 4 bedroom house for a group of 5 and it had plenty of comfortable space for all of us. Great view. Nice pool and jacuzzi facilities. Staff was friendly and flexible. We knew going in that the restaurant was vegetarian and that breakfast did not include hot foods, but my group would have enjoyed some hot options (like oatmeal). The restaurant is also closed for dinner Sunday and Monday, which limited our chance to eat dinner there.

• Trent (7/5): - Beautiful place lots of nice things to do No hot shower on a sunday morning was unfortunate for our stay but was some technical issue, found it uncomfortable with the security cameras all around the pool area when the tv showing the footage is in reception, i couldnt relax in the spa as felt uncomfortable! My massage was lovely but my partner wasnt thrilled with his.

The view was fantastic, the amenities excellent, a very comfortable bed & lovely breakfast. The staff we came in contact with were all friendly & helpful. We didn’t dine in the restaurant as we self catered so cannot comment on that. I had a massage & facial and it was one of the best I have had.

• Rene (8/5): - Grosses Zimmer, schöne Terrasse, sauber. Mässig freundliche Rezeption, kleine Poollandschaft mit zu wenig Liegemöglichkeiten. Sehr steil zu Fuß , für ältere Gäste kaum möglich.
• JS (10/5): - Great private room with a bath spa on the deck so I was able to enjoy the views. The apartment has been modernised which was great to see- so clean on arrival and just soooo relaxing. The rule re the Christmas Dinner - i was unfortunately alone as my friend has to suddenly fly back to the UK- but you had to purchase 2 dinners to be allowed the Christmas menu with a complimentary drink. I found it very difficult to sit there eating a risotto, all alone and no Christmas fun- I was quite upset at this meal.
