Guest Reviews
- Greg (8/5): - Clean room. Very pleasant staff. Good location for what I needed. Quiet and a good bed.
- Kim (2/5): - Terrible experience, for such an expensive price
- Rajmohan (8/5): - Quiet and access to all places
- Jenny (10/5): Perfect outdoor space beautiful - My stay here was amaizing I had my 2 teenage kids with me and plenty of room for them as well beautiful yard swings and other kids toy to play on in the yard there gazebo area with table just so nice there for out door activities
I will definitely go back
- Mowafak (6/5): - Expensive price
- Bart (6/5): - Average room.... nothing fancy but gets the job done.
- Kat (2/5): - Customer service is non existent
- linda (2/5): - did not stay, not safe, mold, very old & not kept up,
- Melanie (2/5): - The room was stuffy and had and odor, there was no ventilation. The mattress flattened completely at the edge when I sat down. Im140lbs. The toilette was too low. There were spider etc etc. not worth the amount paid. This is a $60.00 room.
- Melissa (6/5): - Everything worked as expected. The room was a little dark and the bathroom a little small, overall not a bad experience
- van quang (6/5): - A lot of things need to improve…
- Joanne (2/5): Terrible
- Large group of unruly party people. Loud til 5am. Owners did nothing. Felt threatened by the group and was afraid to leave room. Terrible experience. Dirty facecloth left in shower. Had it even been cleaned? Have stayed here before and was good but not anymore. I would not recommend to anyone
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The owner was very
Pleasent motel has a nice gozeno for relaxing nice
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The beds were not made for the next nite. It was a vbit cool. Cant turn heat up easily. Some cold drafts can get through both windows.
- MIGUEL (8/5): - near the bus station, clean and silent. I could work and read with no bothering. The room is large, a nice bed and very comfortable
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Being allowed to smoke in the unit was unique and convenient. However there were a few issues, the ceiling light didn't work, neither did the mini fridge. The table had white mold on the legs. The the outlet behind the bed seems to be a hazard.
- Carl (2/5): - A dreadful hotel. The room was not clean and smelled accordingly. Due to the positioning of the aircon and the bulldog clip holding the curtains closed we weren't able to open a window to let any fresh air in.
We lasted 30 minutes in the room and then left and booked in elsewhere.
The worst hotel/motel I've ever set foot in.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything I was looking for in a cheap motel, plus it was in walking distance to some restaurants.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Convenient location. Condition of bath not great.
Economic bed or the night.
- Leslie (8/5): Decent place, but problems with heat - Decent motel for what we needed it for, just an overnight stay. Heat was not the best, had the room kinda chilly. fairly clean room
- John (8/5): good value for money - Parkway Hotel is a bit rundown due to being an older motel that is arguably in need of a renovation, but it is in a great location on one of London's main thoroughfares with very friendly staff. You get a good price because the rooms are on the old side and a bit small, but everything is provided that you need for a comfortable stay and there are many restaurants and shops close by in easy walking distance. I would definitely stay there again.
- tiffanyhG9340ZA (10/5): Very friendly - The owner is super friendly. we have stayed 3 times. The room is clean. Close to shopping and restaurants. Easy to find. Value Village next store. The room had a variety of tv channels to choose from.
- L4346JPnicolel (2/5): This was one of the worst experiences I have had in renting a room. - There were bugs in the room which was shocking for this time of year. We killed two and still saw another one that moved so fast - don't know what they were. There was no hot water and the internet did not work. I am attempting to get my money back for the second night and the Parkway Motel would not refund me and I cannot find a customer service number for TripAdvisor.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - very satisfied, happy with the whole experience....................................
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This place is in dire need repair. The bathroom was disgusting. No door handle or lock on inside of bathroom door.
- Michelle (6/5): Could use updating but comfortable for 1 night - Convenient for the location I was working in.
The price was good and lots of public transportation, food and shopping in the area.
- Yeti (8/5): - Good place. Staff were friendly. I'd stay there again. A bit farther from downtown than I thought but easilly accesible.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good price to stay at which we are out all day and back in room only to sleep which is good enough to use that motel. But I got sore neck when I wake up due to poor and old pillow , they need to get new pillows.
- Truth Hurts (2/5): Never again! - First off if I tell you how my name is pronounced, don't tell me I am wrong... Stupid check in guy...what was that smell in your office??? Room had a different weird smell as soon as you walk in. 1970's wood panelling. Bathroom was the worst I've ever seen for a motel, caulking around sink was a hack job. Paint was peeling off walls and ceiling of bathroom. Also had gross shower stall and no tub. Main room had stucco ceiling, which I believe was trying to cover the nasty ceiling tiles. TV was an old tube TV and a fuzzy signal. Whole place felt sketchy. Has 2 adult xxx stores across the street. Would recommend spending just a little bit more and get something a lot better. Never again will I stay there.
- Geraldine (10/5): - room was awesome, it was a couple of windy snowy days in London and room was cold called up front and they put heat up a bit and then they gave us a heater that helped, I think it was the location of the room and the way the wind was blowing that made it so cold, otherwise liked the stay there, people were so friendly there and we will be back to stay there on our next visit
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This property is old but clean and can't beat the price . The heat didn't work very well but with an extra comforter it would be fine. fridge and microwave in room and wifi is fast . For short stays it's fine. oh AMAZING WATER PRESSURE, but bring shower shoes.
- Michael (2/5): - Probably the most disgusting motel I ever stayed in. There was other people's hair and hardened bodily fluids on the blanket and pillow case. I accidentally booked a smoking room, but even for a smoking room, the stench was unbearable. I couldn't figure out how to adjust the heat. The stench, the filth and the cold kept me awake all night.
- Ian (4/5): Non smoking is a myth - Very strong smoke smell in the room.
Shower took a solid 6 minutes to get hot water, cold water tap needed extra tlc to close. Shower would set off the smoke detector.
- Heather (2/5): Song title " That Smell" By Lynyrd Skynrd - I am not sure how it happen but, we ended up in a smoking room which, was so small that only one person could walk around at a time, the smell of cigarett smoke and alcohol was so strong that I had to turn the air conditioner on and leave the door open for a while to try to air it out. The blankets on the bed even smelled like smoke. I do not smoke but, my family does so I am used to the smell of smoke but.... this was nasty. I would never stay there again and would not even recommend it to others that were just looking for a room to party in.
- meklet (6/5): Clean and funky... the drapes don't match the carpet... - The owner was very nice, the price was right and the room was clean. Drawbacks include: one electrical outlet behind the bed meant that I had to move the bed to plug in my laptop. I had a friend visit... we had to move the bed to free up enough room to sit at the table and chairs. The bathroom was "interesting". Overall, I enjoyed my stay. It's a cheap motel that served my purpose. Next time I'm in London, I'll stay there again....
- Verified traveler (6/5): Met expectations. - The room was inexpensive and about what I expected for the price. The room was clean. The motel owner was friendly and helpful. There were no problems during the stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stinky, - Window didn't open, toilet was against the wall so had to sit sideways...no clock. No instructions on phone to dial office. Bathroom door did not close, bathroom door extremely dirty.. Could use a paint job....went out and bought an air freshner..
- booboo (4/5): Cheap Hotel - You get what you pay for. Tiny, grungy bathroom. NO extras like tissues etc. NO window. No ice machine Room was clean and bed comfortable.
- shepmama15 (6/5): The staff was nice - The staff allowed us to check in early & upgraded us to a king. The bed didn't have a mattress pad or fitted sheets & the comforter was not clean. The bathroom was pretty nice just the tub didn't look real clean. But all in all for the price it was a good value!
- Joe (4/5): Hotel is close to everything, but room need TLC - It has the best price for the location. But the hotel need a lot of improvements. It is barely functional. It is a bare bone hotel. You get what you pay for.
- David (8/5): Our stay - The room was comfortable the air conditioning was great for the warm night. The counter staff was very friendly. The television viewing was good. over all we enjoyed our stay here. The only down fall was we had to park a distance from the room when we arrived as they were redoing the parking lot. But by the time we returned the parking lot was cleared and all was well
- Robert (8/5): You get what you pay for - The room was cold but the manager gave me a space heater which helped out a lot. After that the room was very comfortable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Hotel was ok. Room was a bit dated and dark but other than that I have no complaints.
- Ty (10/5): Cheap place for a quality stay - My only complaint was the bathroom door was the only bad thing about the room
- Sean (2/5): Don't stay here - Where to begin first off the room had no controlled heating we were freezing and when we asked for them to turn up the heat we got a space heater I'm not kidding. Had to buy an extra blanket just to keep warm and there were three cop cars parked at the hotel. have no idea what went on wasn't told but didn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling staying there checked into the knights inn on the third day. would highly recommend the knights inn up the road.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Was ok - Was ok I guess. The room was freezing cold. Clean room though, served it's purpose.
- Mark (6/5): You get what you pay for - If you keep your expectations appropriate, this is a great place to get some shut eye.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst motel ever - Dirty room, bad smell, iternet not working, rude and aggressive staff.
- Virginia (6/5): too cold - The staff were friendly. The room clean. The room itself was very cold. I would only return if I had a heater I could plug in.
- mongooze (2/5): Do not stay here - The man on the desk was very kind & accommodating .. Once I got back to my room later that night I knew it was a çheap room so didn't expect much however there where hairs on the sheets not mine as I hadn't touched the bed the room was freezing cold all nite with no way to adjust the heat the TV had a poor picture & has the words best western written across the screen & only a few channels have sound & the WiFi cuts out every few minutes & when u add the filthy way the room is kept it was a total deal breaker had to checkout. Went down the street to the Knights Inn Motel & that's the cheap motel to stay in 100% better than the parkway motel
- Verified traveler (8/5): One night stay with friends - We were looking for a place to stay, while at an event in London, for a good price not to far from our event on Dundas St. After reading some Trip Advisor reviews we picked the Parkway Motel and were not disappointed. The room was ok, pretty much what we expected and everything was clean. The guy at the front desk was nice and friendly and made us up an extra room key when we asked. It was pretty hot with the heat on, but the windows opened so that helped to air it out. We could hear our neighbours through the wall, but that's pretty much expected in a motel, so we were prepared with earplugs and everyone had a great uninterrupted sleep.
- John (2/5): Stinky - Made the mistake of aggreeing to a smoking room, big mistake, had a headache all weekend
- Jacques (6/5): You get what you pay for... - The wall are too thin as you can hear the room next door. I checked out 2 days before and did not get a refund on the extra 2 days I did not stay. Moved to another hotel.
- cigar7 (6/5): It's was OK - Check-in was smooth and easy. The room was basic, clean. The bed was comfortable. The washroom was dated but functional. Hot water and TV worked. This is basically a low rise strip style motel.
Location was ok.
- Bonnie (8/5): Good value, dollar for dollar - Very good value for the cost. The owners have obviously taken care and pride in restoring their premises to clean, quiet and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (2/5): sooooooooooooo bad - the staff were so bad and unfriendly. i do not recommend it to anyone.
- Rich (8/5): The wife & I found it quite adaquette, price-wise! - The staff was very friendly and accomidating. It is close to Dollorama, Canadian Tire, Value Village, family restaurants, etc, and pizza parlours to order in. Air, wifi, comfy beds, and a gazebo in the lot, to relax and unwind, as well as comfy chairs to sit and watch the view. It's not a fancy place by any means, but suffices quite nicely we found. Only small if that at all demerit is, they only have showers instead of tub/showers.
- Verified traveler (6/5): basic - Hotel was clean and basic, no frills but close to where I wanted to be.
- love to travel (2/5): Very disgusting - Rooms smelled horrible. A/c was not even on so that made it even smell a lot worse. Bathroom was disgusting. Soap and shampoo was a joke . Only thing that was ok was the TV and cable .
- Verified traveler (2/5): couldnt move around. - Very tight quarters. Very skimpy. Thinnest toilet paper. No lamps, no coffee, one plastic cup. Not even light in fridge. Carpet filthy and mess under bed. Never again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Easy access from highway - Over night trip, excellent location, close to highway, easy to find. Room was clean, quiet location.
- kelmendi21 (4/5): Just because it's summer doesn't mean parkway motel has to turn off the hot water!! Ice cold showers anyone?? - The room was clean. I was surprised to see a microwave in the room knowing most places don't even have microwaves in their rooms.
HOWEVER, who likes waking up or going to sleep to a ice cold shower??? I understood why it was under $70 a night. Try fixing your plumbing Parkway motel
- BRBhan (6/5): Reasonable! - Likes:
-Friendly front-desk staff
-Spacious parking spot
-Efficient airconditioning
-Clean towels
-Location is on main city road; easy to find.
-Refrigerator and Micro-wave oven
-You get what you pay for!
-OK if all you do is use the bed for the night. Just don't invite anyone in :)
No-likes:
-General upkeep: Stained carpet, maladjusted (non-closing) bathroom door.
-TV sound from adjacent rooms was audible THROUGHOUT the one night I spent at motel
-No morning coffee (even at-cost) available
-Price and general property appearance invites clientele of a calibre that is comfortable in like environment. Not saying that the premises is unsafe. Actually, motel is equipped with the latest in electronic-key (card) locks. Just, that your neighbor may suddenly open his car hood and begin 'fixing' his car outside your door :)
-Smallish rooms
If you must stay here, recommend taking instant coffee and a couple of mugs for boiling water in the microwave oven. I borrowed the mugs from friends...........
- EdH150 (8/5): A reasonably priced motel to stay for the night or a week. - I stayed at this motel for a week/ 5 nights and really liked my room.
The price was right. Around $250 for five nights, the room was clean and air conditioned, the wifi and cable tv worked great.
I slept well during my week stay.
The Parkway Motel is located on Dundas St. East London surrounded by shopping, restaurants, beer store, etc. and it is a short city bus ride to downtown London and other city attractions.
I highly recommend this motel.
- 778audreyM (2/5): TERRIBLE SEWAGE smell too expensive for what you get - I stayed here with my daughter in 2012.The toilet backed up and they would not give us our money back, terrible place and too expensive.Go to Airport Hotel Very good prices, clean and awesome staff!Great location too, across street from Argyll plaza next to 24hour Wendys'.I am very picky and I enjoyed my stay at "AIRPORT HOTEL".
- Christinaluv (2/5): Horrible - I went in earlier to see if I could work out a deal because it was three in the morning. The wife said to me I would have to pay a full rate and then pay again at eleven am. I was going to cost me 140 for a day plus 24 dollar deposit. I had explained to the wife that I had no I.D and she said that fine I would be back at eleven so I don't have to pay so much I called back around ten to see if it was still ok her husband pick up and started yelling at me that is your problem if you don't have I. D we will not rent to you if you don't have I.D and started swearing on the phone lol and said it was my fault he's wife told me it was ok without I.D. Save your money and time and spend your money else where please and thank you.
- MGDias (6/5): Meet the Expectation - The Hotel is well located and very close to London downtow by car. We were traveling with a family group and rented 3 rooms. Two rooms were fine and one room was below the expectation. Fridge and TV were not working. For the same price you can find somethin a little better.
- KrunalS305 (10/5): Nice Place to stay - Its Nice, quiet and clean place to stay. everything is very nearby at a walking distance.. its very inexpensive and nice property to stay,,thanks
- Debbie155019 (6/5): Very Retro! Good stop over! - Hotel is all about location and friendly staff! Great shopping, good food places, quiet. All within walking distance so you can drink too!! Rooms to be desired but bring youthful "get a room" memories.
- L0nd0nR (10/5): A Gem. - This is a quiet, clean and inexpensive accomodation. Courteous, pleasant staff. Located close to highway access, downtown and airport. *Decent. One block from a Tim Hortons, mom & pop diners and shopping center. On a primary bus route to UWO.
