Guest Reviews
- Bela (9/5): Kiváló elhelyezkedésű, eklektikus stílusú és berendezésű lakás Tallinn szívében, jó házigazda. -

- Dag (10/5): Jeg kommer tilbake - Beliggenhet, rent og hjemmekoselig Ikke noe
- Iustin (9/5): - Central, nice and clean apartment A bit cold, but it was expected in December
- William (8/5): - Fantastic location. All necessary conveniences. Warm. Compact but with everything we needed. Very comfortable bed. Basically liked everything
- Xin Na (9/5): - Felt like we were stepping back in time with the decor of the apartment which was pretty cool. Large apartment that was really well located and just steps away from the main sights. All the amenities you needed. There were a lot of instructions to follow for check in but this was pretty self explanatory.
- Julia (9/5): Lovely apartment, centrally located in a beautiful city - Brilliant location, lovely apartment and great communication
- Emma (10/5): Lovely break in a perfect location - Great location.
Clean and warm
Close to all the sites and shops! The amount of notices about rules and fines!!
- Clive (9/5): - Quiet, clean and very close to old town
- Petri (9/5): -
- Andrzej (10/5): -
- Lari (9/5): -
- Stefano (10/5): - Perfect apartment, silent, clean, very very close to the old City of Tallinn, everything you need in the apartment, perfect position for the center of the city, but also 20 minutes walk from the beautiful suburb of Telliskivi, and 25 minutes walk from the Port of the city. Lovely apartment, lovely city.
Perfect communication with the host, kind, quick, and precise.
Absolutely recommended Nothing to say
- Juha (9/5): Viihtyisä yli satavuotias asunto vanhankaupungin palveluiden lähellä. Nykyaikainen asunto sisältä. - Sijainti on erinomainen.
- Juana (9/5): -
- Heinrich (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious. Bright. Good facilities. Excellent communication. Responsive owner. Easy access to property and getting keys. No aircon (weather unusually hot) but fans were provided. Otherwise perfect.
- Jennifer (8/5): Quirky short-stay in heart of town - Well-appointed, spacious old-town flat, everything close to hand. Terrific big windows with broad sills and lovely view onto square with fountain outside. Main bedroom comfortable and quiet. Good blackout curtain soutions in second sleeping area. As stated in the description, the second sleeping space is a mezzanine/platform up a small flight of stairs- ceiling is low so you have to keep your head bent. Can get a little warm. But host has done good job with a tricky space. The posted warnings about penalties for clogging sink/toilet/putting hot drinks on tabletop etc seem a little excessive. Kitchen countertop not great for cooking but not an issue if only intended as short-term.holiday stay.
- Catherine (10/5): Perfect, really well priced place to stay in central Tallinn. Clean, cosy and quiet. - A lovely apartment in central Tallin. Clean, cosy, with everything you need. There were three of us and it was a perfect place to stay for our two night break. Anna is super helpful. Quiet and spotlessly clean. Thank you!
- Tero (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jorge (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chuan (9/5): Very pleasant stay! - The location is the best The bed is too soft for our taste.
- Juliana (10/5): It was a great place to stay - The apartment had everything a traveler needs, it was spacious, nice to have a washing machine, very clear directions for everything There really was nothing we didn’t like
- Dagmar (9/5): Any time again! - Everything was perfect, especially the location of the flat is ideal.
In addition, the communication in advance was better than I have ever experienced. High praise!
- Frank (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, super comfortable and super clean, everything was perfect! THX
- Ian (10/5): A gem of an apartment in the heat of old town Tallinn - The apartment is set in a wonderful location in the heart of the old town.
We were provided with full directions and instructions on how to enter the apartment.
Once inside, the WOW factor hits you. A huge chandelier, large windows with wooden shutters give it such a wonderful feel. Not only is it tastefully decorated, but the owner has thought of everything you will need, including a fridge with a freezer box. A washing machine. Bath with shower. sink and mirror. Towels and storage space. There are lights in all areas plus lamps for a more subtle effect.
A kitchenette with hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, and a filter coffee machine. Washing and draining for the ample array of pans, plates, and cutlery. Plus utensils, including scissors, bottle opener, and corkscrew. Dining chairs plus a large settee, tables, and other chairs are all comfortable.
A large flat screen TV and WiFi throughout the apartment.
It was always warm despite much colder temperatures outside.
We were very comfortable and always looked forward to returning to the apartment. Nothing to dislike.
- Ankur (9/5): Heart of old town Tallinn - Nice stay and Good decor - The ambience, decor, location and a historic building and the host is good Never experienced deposit for any stay so far but this is not an issue
- Starphysh (5/5): Passable - Central location in easy reach of everywhere. Dated, weird furniture like an old peoples home. Cramped bedroom, bed not that comfy.
- Brian (10/5): A vacation to remember with a kind host. - The apartment felt like home. We walked into a beautiful soave that was inviting and cozy.
- Sini (9/5): Superb - -Great location
-The possibility to leave luggage before check in was great
- great value for money
- Marika (8/5): Very good - It was nice and very clean. Sheets and pillows were excellent. The street outside was noisy at nights.
- Candace (10/5): This is a wonderful place to stay and enjoy Tallinn. - This is a charming flat in a perfect location. It is quite old and yet so comfy. We enjoyed walking all through the old city just outside the doors of this place. Communication was great and the host allowed us to leave our luggage for part of the day after we had checked out. Nothing
- Samantha (8/5): Very central location, clean, comfortable apartment -
- Yulia (10/5): Good value for money! - Located very centrally, very tidy apartment and good communication with the host! It was extremely noisy at night from the street cafes. Unfortunately there was no other option than keeping the windows open
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful apartment Iliked everything
- Chloe (10/5): We really enjoyed this cute apartment. It was clean and comfortable. - Great location. It was noisy. We could hear the cars/people/birds.
- Jayashree (9/5): Superb -
- Lynn (9/5): Fantastic place to stay in Old Town - Well equipped, clean, great location
- Birger (8/5): Good value not far from the old town - Plenty of space and facilities The elevator was unreliable and could stall before arrival to the chosen floor
- Michail (10/5): Exceptional - Alles war total super, the Appartement 👆
- David (9/5): Characterful and comfortable apartment - Great location. Very well equipped apartment with lots of cleaning and bathroom products, large comfortable bed. Characterful building, we would happily stay again. Very responsive manager. Nothing really. If I was being really picky the dining table is rather small and the kitchen area lacks work space but these are tiny negatives.
- Silva (10/5): Exceptional -
- Phil (10/5): Exceptional - Very central location.
Lovely old apartment.
Friendly and helpful staff.
- Cecília (10/5): Perfect apartment - Everything! The apartment is in the old centre, 3min walk from the Town Hall Square. It is very spacious, comfortable and super clean. All you need is there.
Specially loved the high ceilings and windows, typical architecture of this 100yr old house. The decor might not be your style, it is a bit too old/classic, but it is in perfect condition!
- Wallace (9/5): Superb - Perfect location to explore the Old Town of Tallin. All facilities available in the two bedroom apartment.
- Bojog (10/5): Exceptional -
- Johanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (6/5): 7 Nights in Tallinn - A very clean apartment in an excellent location. Comfortable bed.Good communication Unfortunately I have had to give a low overall rating, because I spent 7 nights here freezing, freezing, freezing!!!
When you first enter the apartment, it seems warm enough. And it's true, the hall and the bedroom are. But the lounge/kitchen area are freezing, (even though there are wall radiators), with an icy draught coming in from the windows.
After my first night I contacted the apartment manager and asked if there was a heater available. I was told no heater was available, and an extra blanket was dropped off for me to use.
Very disappointed to spend 7 evenings absolutely freezing.
- Aimo (9/5): Superb - Lovely old apartment with huge window sills and quirky interior and great location. Comfortable beds. Nice to have a bath tub. The living room was smaller than we expected from the photos. The other bed room wasn't a real room, but only separated by a curtain from the living room.
- Gunārs (9/5): The old town is wonderful! - The apartment is relatively small, but very well furnished! There is a night club next to the building and you can hear how young people gathered. The frying pan needs to be replaced!
- Changyang (10/5): Excellent and elegant stay. - The style, the furniture, the way of hosting. And the location is superb, in the south part of old city. Maye at night sometimes it will be a little noisy.
- Tim (9/5): Lovely comfortable old apartment next to the Old Town - The apartment is old-fashioned, spacious and comfortable. It is just off the Old Town and well-situated. The day after we stayed the new bus link to the airport opened and links to/from Viru, about 400 metres from the apartment. The two bedrooms are quite a way apart - good if you are snorers or like your privacy, not so good if you have needy children. Finding it at the fist attempt was a little bit lucky. The key system takes a bit of getting used to. One of the rooms is us upstairs and would not be suitable for someone with mobility problems. I always think it is nice to meet your hosts.
- Lövholm (9/5): Superb -
- Üllar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tobias (10/5): Best apartment I ever had - highly recommended! - Really beautiful apartment, the best I ever had actually. There is all you really need in the kitchen and bathroom. Lovely furnishing. You can easily explore Tallinns old town on foot. And Anna is such a great, friendly and always helpful host. Thank you again, Anna. -
- Ruth (10/5): Wonderful stay in a beautuful city. - Location perfect, apartment supplied with everything we could possibly need Building is lovely but quite run down, elevator somewhat wonky - all of which made the surprising comfort and excellent condiruon if the apartment all rhe more welcome.
- Ieva (10/5): Perfect stay in Tallin - Everything was very well. Starting from the communication and the apartment itself. Apartment is well equipped and the location is just superb. Really nothing to complain
- Kevin (9/5): Superb - Perfect location.
Comfortable, beautiful appartement.
- Teboc (9/5): Highly recommended for a few nights in Tallinn - Excellent location within easy walking distance to everything: museums, ferries, local transport (including a single local bus from the airport), and with a decent supermarket a few minutes' walk. Instructions on accessing the apartment were clear, and the hosts were happy for a slightly later checkout to facilitate our ferry timings. It's comfortable, well equipped (but no oven), and in an excellent neighbourhood. The only quibble is no oven -- otherwise it was great!
- Lionel (10/5): Best experience so far - The apartment is very close to the old town center. It's super clean, everything works perfectly, it's spacious enough for 4 people to feel comfortable, and at the same time it really feels classic. The hosts are really helpful and nice. My best experience on Booking so far.
- Sathish (8/5): Very good -
- C555 (9/5): Superb -
- Terence (10/5): good apartment in old town - Good location, easy to check-in and out, communication was prompt. apartment was well equipped and clean.
- Tina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nieborg (8/5): Very nice appartement good location - Location was perfect
- Patrick (10/5): Great experience! - Excellent location. Accommodations were amazing. Very clean with a lot of amenities. Lots of fees signs posted for not following rules that could have been just listed as part of check in/check out.
- Stefano (10/5): Great place! - Once again a lovely stay. Great location, super nice host. Not my first time there and won't be my last either. I have no complaints
- Stefano (10/5): Fantastic! - I have stayed multiple times and when I am staying in Tallinn and it is available I usually stay here Nothing to complain about, was great
- Vlada (10/5): Exceptional -
- Goran (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mykola (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucio (10/5): Exceptional -
- EricRobertThemmen (10/5): Holidays in the Baltic States - First part of this trip is Tallinn, Estonia. Booked apartment next to the old city town center. Fantastic location, close to everything. Within 10 minutes you are at the railway station. Beautiful medieval town center in Tallinn. Apartment luxury. It has everything. Washing machine and dishwasher. Kitchen, coffee machine. Two bedrooms, one comfortable living room.
Really Tops!!!
- Jez896 (10/5): Short break for 3. - Lovely apartment situated on edge of Old Town and very convenient for all the sights. 5 minutes walk from Town Square & 10 from Toompea. Very clean and all amenities included - good WiFi as well. Offered transfer to & from airport for €10 e/w and Martin was brilliant- took us into apartment & explained everything. Even texted us to remind us of pick up. Thoroughly recommended for 3 people rather than pay for 2 hotel rooms. Will definitely use again on a return trip.
- 851shrutis (10/5): Location can't get better, very good apartment - We stayed for 4 nights at Classic Apartments and it was the perfect location for us to explore the small city - everything is a 5-10 min walk from the apartment which is what you need. The apartment itself is nicely done in a classical style and well kept. They offered us a pick up from the airport at a nominal fee which was very convenient as well. Would recommend staying here for sure.
- 819madeleiner (8/5): A Charming Place in Old Town Tallinn - This was a perfectly located apartment, nicely decorated (a touch old-fashioned, with lace curtains and mid-century furnishings that have a lovely vibe), in a large building with a series of cavernous stairways (the whole thing felt just slightly like post WWII The Third Man, but in a charming, comfortable way).
We were met at the apartment by a lovely guy who showed us the ropes and asked us to call on him for anything. We didn't need to: the apartment was perfectly set up for us. And the location is brilliant--within walking distance of everything in the Old Town. I would happily go back again.
- JillH524 (8/5): Great location and very well furnished apartment - We were picked up from the airport by a member of staff, who pointed out supermarkets and places to go. He took us into our apartment, explained where things were and where we were on the map of Tallinn.
The communal areas in the apartment block are scruffy and dilapidated, but the apartment itself was really nice with plenty of space and everything we needed. The wi-fi was good with strong signal throughout the apartment.
We were thrilled to be in the middle of the Old Town with a short walk to local attractions. One problem was that the apartment overlooks a casino and nightclubs, so it was very noisy late at night.
Security is important here, you need several different keys to get into the apartment, so we felt absolutely safe.
Good communication with Anna, the staff member who does English bookings, beforehand.
- flan_1969 (8/5): Great location, clean apartment - We stayed five nights here and it was a terrific location for our visit to Tallinn.
We were met at the airport and taken to the apartment. We also chose to pay the reasonable price to be driven back to the airport.
The apartment is in a traditional wooden residential block which is nice and quiet. We heard no noise from anyone while we were there.
The apartment is fairly small as the pictures show. It is clean and the kitchen is well equipped. There is also lots of information on the city.
The location is excellent. It is a bot of a hill to go directly up to Toompea and the old town but ok if you are fit enough. Alternatively the walk left or right at the walls will take you to the main tourist area via a pleasant walk through the gardens at the city walls.
One annoyance was the faulty washing machine. I had specifically asked about the machine as we were ten days in to our holiday and wanted to wash clothes to wear. The owners did try to help us out but there was a gap between our enquiry about the machine and their response during which time we wasted a few hours finding a laundry and paying and waiting for it to be done. The washing machine was a major factor in our choice of accommodation.
There is a local shop nearby which should have most things you will need for your stay.
Would I stay here again? Only if I was assured the washing machine was working. There is also a larger supermarket a few minutes walk away. There are also a few good places to eat and drink very close by, although we predominately went to the old town area.
- rachellzbth (10/5): Perfect Location - We were picked up from the airport, as there is no reception for the accommodation and it's easier for the owners to just bring you to the apartment. We had a great view of one of the towers, and the location was only a three minute walk to the old town square. There's a supermarket about a 10 minute walk away, and taxis are usually parked outside.
The apartment itself was very warm despite the freezing temperatures outside. We had everything we could need and more. Would definitely stay here again.
- tenthlisten (6/5): Nice Apartment but Staff Could Improve - We rented an apartment just inside the Old Town, which was spacious, clean, and within walking distance of the center of Old Town but far enough away to avoid noisy crowds.
The reason we didn't give Classic Apartments a higher rating is due to a member of the staff. Anna and Mike were great, but Mario could have started off our trip on a better note. He was late meeting us at the station after a very long ride and, once he arrived, there was no apology or smile. The first thing he asked/grunted at us was whether we had exact change in cash to pay for the apartment. The ride to the apartment continued to prove how little he wanted to be there, as his driving was very unsafe and we alternated between holding our seat belts and bracing against the back of the seat in front of us when he would brake too hard. His professionalism seemed to make somewhat of an appearance as we closer we got to the apartment, as he pointed out a supermarket, offered to take us anywhere if we needed a cab, and helped make arrangements for us to return to the station. There was no way that we would get in a cab with him again based on the ride we were currently experiencing, but it was decent of him to offer. Overall, it was an unfortunate start and wasn't the best impression of Classic Apartments.
Luckily, the apartment made up for it as it had everything we needed and was nicely furnished in a great location. Mike, who took us back to the station at the conclusion of our trip, was courteous, arrived early, and was genuinely interested in our experience. Anna was also great over e-mail and promptly replied to all questions. Although our experience of being picked up at the station was disappointing, it is a nice perk in theory.
With so many options in Tallinn, I'm sure there are several places just as nice as Classic Apartments with better staff.
- pixiegypsie (6/5): Great location. - Clean, comfortable, in a great location. Very happy that everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. Parking and wifi included in the rate. Washing machine was a bonus for us. Although the bathroom is tiny, it is very useable, once all unnecessary items are removed. Payment, keys and labels all were arranged on 1st meeting with owner and then the place was ours. Great.
- SisterBliss66 (10/5): All you need! - Great stay. Great location. It can be busy and noisy at the front through the night but honestly this didn't bother us-ask for a room at the back. You get picked up from the airport free of charge and they will take you back for a small fee. No reception but we didn't need to call anyone out and we had contact details. The only two things-I didn't like the small lift as we inadvertently overloaded it on the first day so i decided i had to walk which was okay if on the 1st floor but harder up to 5th (best to make sure you are not over the weight limit of 240kg) and we struggled to open the door with the double set of keys we had. Make sure you ask the person letting you in to how you over and over how to do it! It really did have everything you need. There were also building works going on but you can still get rooms with a view and the noise from that was minimal too.
- kirilldu (10/5): Comfortable apartments, very convenient for exploring Tallinn - Classic Apartments has several places to offer for stay in Tallinn and our choice were apartments on Sugise 14. This two-storey apartments are located just outside Tallinn Old Town in sympathetic wooden house. The street is tiny and very quiet. If you travel by car it makes sense to book a place on inner parking in advance otherwise you'll have to use public parking nearby. Apartments were renovated not so long ago and though some of the furniture isn't quite on par we liked it very much. You'll find here everything you need from paper towels to washing machine and dishwasher. There are also two bathrooms (one on each floor), berths for up to 7-8 people and kitchen corner with all kitchenware. It takes you several minutes to get to Old Town by foot and you are free to go anyware in Tallinn by car if you have one. Also there is bus stop nearby and Central Railway station is quite near. The owner is very nice person with whom pleasant to deal. The price is good so all in all this place is my first choice for the next visit to Tallinn.
- DutchDesire (6/5): Appartment in wooden building with character - We rented the appartment in Sugise street, a little outside of the old town, but only a 5-10 minutes walk. In a street with many wooden appartment buildings where Estonian families live, with a small "russian" grocery on the corner. Makes you feel a little bit a Tallinn citizin.
Apartment was ok, nothing special. Comfortably warm, nice couch, large dining table. Very well equiped, quality so-so. Beds and bedlinnen not very good, slept reasonably though. Very queit nights in this queit part of town.
- PatDancer (8/5): Remodeled apartment in Old Town. - Our requirements were:
- Nonsmoking standard apartment in Old Town
- First or second floor if no elevator
- Quiet at night
- 1 bedroom with door and double bed or larger
- Internet, washer
Since apartment 42 at Suur-Karja St 18 met all our requirements plus had a microwave and pix online that looked good, we rented it for 60 euros ($78 then) a night. The comfortable apartment with 2 small bedrooms had recently been remodeled and was a few blocks away from a mall with a grocer. Was located near the edge but within the old town.
- businessstuart (10/5): Well equipped apartments ideally situated to explore Estonian capital - These apartments are ideal for a self catering stay in Tallinn. They are well equipped have everything you need and a few extras like salt pepper, washing liquid, tea coffee etc.
Our family stayed in 3 apartments in total and whilst they varied in style they where all clean and offered everything we expected. they are placed in the Old town and everything in old town is within easy walking distance. At the weekend Tallinn is busy with local and tourists out for a good time and regardless of where you stay in Old town you will get some noise but these apartments have double glazing and did not seem to suffer excessive noise. Avoid the taxi's directly outside as they will take advantage instead walk down to the flower market 2 minutes away and get a 'white cab' these are better regulated.
