- Isabelmarie (10/5): - Muy linda la propiedad. Las personas encargadas de la limpieza y del la comida muy amables en todo momento. Hay tres perros que son adorables y hacen de tu estancia una más tranquila y segura. El silencio que hay en Casa Moabi me encantó. Tiene restaurantes cerca, una parada de bus y está bastante céntrico si quieres conocer toda la zona. Yo logré conocer todos los pueblos cercanos en bus. El único detalle que diría es que al anochecer si vienes caminando toda la entrada no tiene iluminación y tienes que hacer una caminata de como 2 minutos sin luz, lo que puede causar algún accidente o encontrarte con una serpiente en el camino.
- Derek (10/5): this is the hotel you are looking for - amazing place, amazing humans! the hotel is beautiful, with a beautiful public area and cozy quiet rooms. right across the street from stunning, empty beaches, while also tucked just beneath the jungle’s edge, there was beauty and wonder literally everywhere i turned. toucans and monkeys and coconuts and mangoes and all kinds of amazing tropical fruits i’d never even heard of. this place is magic. the hosts were fantastic. 11/10. they speak spanish and english (and i think french too), were incredibly gracious, kind, and knowledgeable, and wise. i can’t wait to come back here.

Needed a spot for 2 nights before catching a tour & feel fortunate to have gotten here. Walk to the beach or rent their bikes and enjoy the tasty breakfast - pancakes were the best.

- Tiffany (10/5): Beautiful economical choice. - Place is beautiful and in a wonderful location very close to a mostly private beach. Owners are very friendly and the breakfast was great and not expensive. Only downside is there is no A/C but it wasn't unbearable and for the price not really complaining. The bed was hard but again not unbearable. The dogs will quickly become your friends and the cat is amazing.

Wonderful hosts really friendly but not in your face, huge communal area with everything you could want, delicious breakfast and all very reasonably priced.

Diese Unterkunft ist wunderschön in die Natur eingebunden man kann hier sehr gut die vielfältige Vegetaion Costa Ricas bestaunen. Das Meer ist 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und behandelte uns wie ein Familienmitglied... man fühlt sich sehr gut aufgehoben und liebevoll behandelt. Wir lieben diese Unterkunft! Das war die Beste Unterkunft auf meiner bisherigen Reise!!!!
- Erin (4/5): - Very disappointed by Casa Moabi, especially after all of the great reviews.The main "house" area where there are about 4 rooms including the one we stayed in, were run down looking. There is AC but it only works when you literally lock all of the windows shut, making it feel like a jail cell with no natural light whatsoever. The bathroom had a toilet disinfectant cake, which made both the bathroom and bedroom area smell horrid (even if you closed the bathroom door). The bed was ok, but not that comfortable. Breakfast was fine but you will be charged $5 a person. The area is pretty and cool that you can hear howler monkeys at night, but know you need a car to get anywhere like restaurants. There are plenty of other nice places in Puerto Viejo or Cocles that are the same price and nicer, I recommend skipping Casa Moabi in favor of those!

- Richard (10/5): A perfect jungle retreat. - A cute little hotel in the middle of the jungle, run by an extremely friendly multi-lingual staff. It's definitely off the path a bit, which can be worrisome at first. But as you pull up it's a quick realization that this place is exactly what you are looking for. Checkin was quick and painless, and the other travellers lounging in the common area made for a very welcoming experience. Our room was spartan, but tidy. Do note, that you are in the middle of the jungle. Bugs will find your way into the room. We had to close our windows to utilize our laptop, otherwise despite the window netting, creatures still found their way in. This is a perfect jungle retreat. Lot's of sights and noises to see and experience. A short walk away from a beach that seems to always be empty, and a 20 minute walk away from town.

Tom, the co-owner, was so accommodating and helpful - always there to ask questions and provide suggestions. Our room was large and air conditioned - which was really nice, with a lovely outdoor kitchen. The common area with hammocks and sofas is so welcoming and a wonderful place to meet others...

- ajk (6/5): Nice for the area - The room was comfortable and clean. Very simple but it was all we needed. The common area was useful if you want to cook meals. The owner has a very nice dog (mastiff that is huge) I love dogs...the dog does smell pretty bad though which I'm sure is due to the heat and humidity so just a heads up on that. On of the seating areas had pillows, I have a feeling the cat that has taken up residence has used them a bit to much as it made the couch smell of cat pee.

- Maria (6/5): Cute and cozy but noisy morning - We arrived late and the hotel was nice to stay up to check us in. It was clean and cozy. However the next morning, hammering, drilling, and more hammering started at 10. You can hear everything in the hotel so be warned of you get in late and are trying to catch up on sleep, probably won't happen.

Nous avions réservé la Casita(grande hutte avec deux étages) juste pour nous quatre et on a pu voir la fameuse grenouille verte au yeux rouge du Costa Rica, des superbes sauterelles, les singes hurleurs(=gros aboiements de chien rauque). Le plus: Le gérant parle le français. Nous reviendrons chez eux!
- Cameron (10/5): Nice Little Hotel - The rooms are nice and clean. There is no air conditioning, but there is a fan. The hotel staff are really friendly and helpful with getting around. It's located a little in the woods, so you can hear Howler monkeys outside and see monkeys climbing through the tree tops. It's a short bike ride from local restaurants, beaches, the Jaguar Rescue center and the heart of Puerto Viejo.

It is very close to the beach, Jaguar Rescue,restaurants and short ride to Puerto Viejo. Large breakfast provided for $5. Very professional and courteous hotel staff and owner.
