- Sonya (5/5): Went there because of a wedding was held there. - I like that it was historical. What I didn’t like no tv, pull out bed was horrible, u had to communicate through email since staff is not there all the time. For the price you could have stayed in a nice motel/hotel.

About 2 blocks away from a very busy railroad route. You could clearly hear train horns almost every 30 minutes. The staff did warn us about this and each room was provided with earplugs that helped a lot.

The claw foot tub was amazing, all the vintage touches were so cool to see and staff took really good care of us! The cafe makes amazing breakfast and lunch. Portions were amazing for the price and we loved being able to walk everywhere and go see all the shops and everything! I can't think of anything we didn't like!

Nostalgic 100-yo period aesthetic was unique and appreciated. The proximity and frequency of the freight trains ripping through Centralia and their insistence of blaring their horns all the way through town just to roust the errant drunk napping on the tracks at 0400hrs was a little much. Ear plugs hotel provided but I can only sleep in them for so long.

It would be nice if the terrace was open until sunset and the shower was a little small, but these are minor quibbles.

We were a little nervous when they pointed out the earplugs in the room, but we honestly didn't hear the train all night, and the wedding party in the ballroom was done by 10pm. - James (10/5): A reason to visit a town with an intersting history and many antitique stores, including its hotel. - A loving use of an historic building near the center of town. Rooms are nicely restored and comfortable with period style. An excellent restaurant for dinner, and cafe for breakfast add convenience. Historical photos adorn the walls and an original mural captures an important event in local history. It is distinctive and tasteful. Kudos to the restorers and owners. Making an old building modern is an infinite task and great expense, so more always can be done. Come here for authenticity and restoration, not a routine experience that can you have next to any freeway. Everything worked well. You might even enjoy the train horns at night!

- Janine (9/5): Charming and warm historic hotel - This is not a Marriott or chain hotel. This is a charming hotel that is centrally located. It was easy to park and the guest were all quiet. The care takers of the historic hotel (national landmark) do a great job running things. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and comfortable with the accommodations. You get nice big robes in your room. WI-FI connections were not strong but was able to use personal hot spot. Not a deal breaker. I plan to stay here again in the future.

- Kimberly (10/5): - What a CUTE hotel! I felt like I time traveled back to the early 1900s and enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel is thoughtfully decorated with original black and white photos from it's heyday inception. It's in a great location (restaurants, bars and activities are two short blocks away), clean and secure. Our room was spacious, located near the terrace and comfortable. Sherry was wonderful - she went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our stay and brought towels within minutes of the request. Note: there are NO TVs in the room. This disappointed my 10-year-old greatly, but we (the parents) relished it. A few things to note: this hotel is near the railroad crossing in Centralia. It gets noisy sometimes in the middle of the night. That's neither here or nor there, but I know people love to nit pick, so I wanted to point that out. This wouldn't sway me from staying here again. Next, come with proper expectations: if you're looking for modern, state-of-the-art, room-serviced sterile room with all the typical 4-5 start amenities, this place isn't it for you. If you're seeking a quiet place to rest your head with excellent customer service, all while be steeped in the rich history of Centralia, this is the sick ticket.

Front desk person had no idea what they were doing. Tried to charge us double the room. Called us 9 times during our stay for various reasons that should have been handled at check in.

- Aaron (7/5): Great downtown location, neat old building - Very large room, very clean, and located in the heart of Centralia, which has a really nice little downtown. I've stayed in a lot of places, and this was a unique experience, in a good way. The hotel is in a converted historic building that it shares with a restaurant/bar (though not a late night bar, it closed around 8 pm). What you will find in your stay: comfortable beds, clean rooms, hot showers, friendly staff, internet, 24/7 hotel access with your key, and free coffee in the mornings. What you won't have: televisions in your room, a front desk that's staffed 24/7. If you're looking for a corporate hotel experience, this probably isn't the place for you. But if the idea of staying in a historic building where you can walk to nearby book and antique stores and restaurants, you might like it. What they do here, they do well. The free wi-fi was good during the day, but seemed unreliable at night after the front desk shut down. Didn't have a huge impact on my stay, but was something I noticed.

We stayed in one of the king suits, and it was perfect. They provide earplugs to help block out the trains at night, we didn’t need them though (I grew up near train tracks so I didn’t mind it, and my husband said he didn’t hear them as soon as he fell asleep). There was a communal fridge and microwave near the ballroom on the second floor - which was perfect to store our takeout leftovers for the night, the bed was comfortable, the shower was updated and super nice, and the suit was very spacious. Chari, who checked us in and out, was very sweet and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We definitely recommend staying here!

- Tony (10/5): - I wanted to take my wife for a one night getaway for a special day. Our host allowed us to check in a bit early so I could attend a business meeting on Zoom. Our suite was made from two older hotel rooms, and was very comfortable. The water is hot. The food at “The Branch” downstairs was fabulous. This is an amazing hotel that is within easy walking distance of downtown Centralia. We would come again.
- Krista (10/5): - Love the old building and the location. There are amazing antique stores and restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel. No TV in the room, we will bring a laptop loaded with some movies next time we stay. Hotel was clean.

- Jeff (10/5): This experience was better than I expected. - Sherry went the extra mile for me. I needed to check in early and she met me face to face so she could be sure I got situated. This is a 1920's hotel professionally renovated and spotlessly clean. They have a restaurant that opens at 7am but I wish there was coffee service available earlier.
- Megan (10/5): Charm, comfort, and kindness. What a treat! - What an absolute gem! Why anyone would stay near the highway for more is beyond me. Perfectly comfy bed. They provide earplugs for some of the train traffic, but it's generally quiet. It is within walking distance to other spots downtown or the excellent local grocery store! Yummy coffee is provided in the morning, a bakery on the spot, and a fantastic dinner joint (pork belley confit...amazing fried chicken, but always rotating...). I will be staying again, and again, and again. If you like big rooms with lots of charm and plenty of parking then stay here!

Room was so delightful we really didn’t need to venture out much. Restaurants connected to the property were fantastic! Branch for dinner and Berry Fields for breakfast were great. We live only about 50 miles away but trip was so relaxing and fun we will do it again. The property was absolutely delightful!
