Guest Reviews
- Baxter K (6/5): - Rooms are somewhat newly renovated. They would not honor the rate of my reservation. I had to pay $15. More or they wouldn't allow us to check in.
- Julie (8/5): Good basics on a budget - This is not a fancy place but covers all the basics. Good price for a clean and comfortable place to sleep for the night. We had a bit of trouble getting the shower started - pull knob was stuck/stiff and the floor lamp would not turn on at first - was unplugged for some reason. We stored our travel companions milk in our fridge as theirs didn’t seem to be cold. Easy check in and out, even with communication barrier (we don’t speak French well). Friendly desk clerk. Good location, right off the 20 and Tim’s/McDonalds and gas/convenience all right nearby.
- Muskan (2/5): - They asked for extra money at the counter and were rude
- Muneeb (10/5): - The stay was very nice rooms were clean.
- Viliam (10/5): - No issues identified, good value for $$.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Motel d'assez bonne tenue. Accueil correct, discret. Chambre spacieuse, propre. Un grand effort est nécessaire pour les communications en français. Se rappeler que la seule langue officielle au Québec est le français. Bien situé et un bon rapport prix-qualité.
- Yash (4/5): - No
- Pooja (10/5): - All good
- Priya (2/5): - Not a clean place
- Sharon (4/5): - You Get What You Pay For
The good: Desk staff personable; Sheets and towels very clean; Gas and food next door.
The Bad: Stains on various furniture; Surface areas filthy; Not offered fresh towels and supplies during stay; Property amenities not well maintained; Upon arrival the entire building reeked of cigarette smoke; even my non-smoking room.
The Ugly: No sound insulation. Noise from mechanical room ever-present; fridge noise; parking lot noise thru cheap windows; doors auto-close heavily, making it sound like slamming doors at 1,2 AM; bathroom with scant abysmal provision, slow draining tub — standing in pool of water while showering; no blow dryer.
Will not be back.
- David (8/5): - Stayed here during a short trip to Canada. Nothing special about this hotel. Kinda old but they keep the place clean and the staff was super nice and friendly. If you just need a basic adorable hotel for a place to sleep this is a great choice
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Beau bon pas cher.. seul hotel disponible dans la region et ce n’est pas pour rien… mais acceptable..
- Mike (6/5): - Good place to stay if you are just passing through the area and looking for reasonable priced accommodation
- JENNIFER (4/5): - This place was fine for a one night stay. The room needs a deep clean. The beds were comfortable.
- John (4/5): - The room was dirty. Dead bugs, dust and sand on floor, in corners, on vanity table. Surfaces not wiped clean. Used towel left on back of bathroom door. The "tip envelope" for the maid was even dirty with stains on it. If could submit pictures, I would. Will not recommend or stay here again
- Pooja (4/5): - Air conditioning was not working properly, staff didn't know how to operate it, blaming customer should know it.
- Josianne (4/5): - Trashy motel
- cathyhZ2015RA (2/5): Rude owner - We called ahead to book a room , the lady who answered was lovely , however on our arrival the man which I think was the owner had very terrible attitude toward us . Unfortunately, his mannerisms were less than acceptable. We walked in smiling and he says do you have a reservation? I said we spoke with the lovely lady 10 minutes ago and there was one room available. He said relax ….. I said I didn’t think I was getting excited. I said I would like to chat with the lady I spoke with . He called her , I said thank you , proceeded to tell her how rude he was and she just smiled , poor girl I could feel her pain . I left as no one should be treated that way and I wouldn’t give him money . Place does not look like the pictures unfortunately.
- Preyal (6/5): - Friendly staff
- Kathleen (6/5): - The building is very old, but the employees were courteous and the room was clean
- Tony (2/5): - Place was disgusting would never stay there again should be paying me to stay there
- Jessica (4/5): - I was sleeping in the room and I found a cockroach on my neck and ended up sleeping in my car.
- Michelle Lara (8/5): - Hotel was great. We went in summer, since it’s off season there was no staff there. There are codes in every door. I thibk we were the only ones there. Overal is was nice and clean but the beds are very squeaky, uncongortable and way too small for 2 people.
- Valentin (10/5): - Alles hat wunderbar geklappt sauber und freundlich merci
- Lynn Marie (8/5): - Very close to where we needed to be, so convenient. This is an older property. The locks on both the door to the hall and the door to the parking lot were not secure. The beds were clean. The fridge and microwave, too. The sink faucets would need a scrubbing. The bathroom tiles would need to be re-grouted.
- Vicky (2/5): - Dirty
- Jean-Marc (8/5): Nice stay but place can use a makeover - This was a convenient place to stay.
The room was clean and comfortable but most of the place needs some renovation.
And this old, rusting away van in the parking lot, plus the weird owner's patio with stuff piled under a tarp. Not attractive at all...
- Syed (10/5): - Stay was great. Electricity went out for 15mins within an hour of us checking in. But other than that all went well. Would say that the bathroom doesnt have a vent. 9/10 stay though. Would recommend as a place to relax after a day of exploring Quebec.
- ALAN (4/5): - Ce motel a besoin d'etre renove et modernise. Ne vaut pas le prix paye.
- Samanth (8/5): - Friendly staff.
- Megan (4/5): - Not clean at all
- WENDY (8/5): - Clean, quiet and the staff was excellent. Gas and food right closeby.
- Raquel (8/5): - Very simple, clean.
- Cindy (4/5): - Stayed one night after driving 7 hours. Too expensive for what we got. Room was extremely outdated and bed was so uncomfortable. Only had one towel in the bathroom. Went down to ask for more and he apologized and promptly returned with more. We were happy that it was quiet for the night.
- Julio C (8/5): - Gentle reception, quiet environment.
- Bonnie (8/5): - Outside property should be cleared and cleaned up.
Looked like abandoned vehicles on the property filled with junk.
- Chris (8/5): - Some things were a little outdated . (Tables and showers) but all in all for $99 plus tax I was very happy with the room accommodations and the close by amenities. 😁
- Lise (10/5): - Our room was HUGE! We were very impressed!
- Glenn (4/5): - I had opportunity to review 4 different rooms at this property. All were very very dirty.
All had unclean walls, and I don't usually look at walls but it kinda hard to miss when it is a light color wall in a small batthroom with 10 or 12 mosquitos smashed against the wall. That got me looking at the walls in all the rooms.
Dirt on the floor, trash under the bed and small bits of track in the corners.
items frozen in the freezer.
AC filters so unclean the dust on them was like a layer of felt nearly 1/8 inch thick.
So much dust on the baseboards there was a dark line around the rooms.
I showed the manager the dirt and he wasn't concerned. One manager did at least clean the filters but only because I handed them to her. Otherwise her attitude was what do you want me to do about them? If anyone doubts, I have pictures.
- Ashraf (10/5): - Good
- Nancy (8/5): - Beds were comfortable and clean but bathtub was dirty.
- Caroline (8/5): Basic hotel - Motel rudimentaire. Chambre propre et lits confortables.
Café disponible dans le lobby en matinée.
- stefano (4/5): - .
- Andriy (10/5): - 👍
- Lisa (4/5): - Not well maintained
- Amanda (4/5): - They did not hold our reserved room. We booked two beds and upon arrival only one bed was available. Room was clean.
- Tetyana (8/5): - I stayed for only one night, arrived late, the room was clean, that was all I was looking for, cannot comment on any other aspect of the amenities.
- Verna (4/5): - We stayed two nights. Arrived late the first night and had a good rest. When we arrived the second night after being gone all day to a music festival, the room had not been cleaned, no fresh towels, bed unmade. When I called the front desk to report the problem, they said to come down and get fresh towels. Not acceptable at 11 pm.
- Randolf (6/5): - Outside of the property was below average. Inside was ok. Rooms were clean. Linens and towels were old, but clean. The room did its job. I was able to sleep.
- Kim (6/5): - Not the cleanest. Needs update. Expensive for the type of low end motel.
- Naomi (6/5): - The staff were very warm and welcoming. Only complaint was the mattresses wernt very nice to sleep on. All we could feel and hear were springs under us. Other then that, it was okay
- Paul (4/5): - I was told by the individual at the front desk that “we charge your card because sometimes people leave blood and oil on the sheets and in the rooms and it is for a cleaning charge” i was told to park out back so that i could see my car from my room. There were no plugs in the bathroom for hair dryers or straighteners. All in all a bad experience and i would not recommend this hotel
- gladys (2/5): - A bad experience. Sink leeking, very stuffy, uncomfortable bed and not that clean. Very surprise this property in suggested by expedia.
- Henri (8/5): - Basic
- Marène (6/5): - Propre, mais pas de service en français, pas de mouchoirs dans la chambre.
- Anita (10/5): - The rooms are big and clean. The motel has easy access to Hwy 20. The only negative is our room was directly over the bar and it was quite loud when we were trying to sleep and people were leaving the bar and talking outside.
- Susan (6/5): - Very basic but expected by the price.
- Gail (4/5): Not ideal for the price! - Flooring creaked, curtain sheers torn, bathroom tub yellowed, rust stains and floor dirty in corners. Staff pleasant.
- Kylie (4/5): - Staff was courteous, but the room was gross. Spatter on the walls, cobwebs on the hair dryer, dust bunnies and dirt from previous guests under the bathroom sink and behind the toilet. TV remote was grimy. lingering smell of old cigarette smoke in the carpeting.
- KevinSandra_12 (6/5): Not too Bad - This place is ok for one night stop on the long drive home from the east coast, Very dated in décor with the exception of the bathroom, really nice fixtures in there. The lamps on either side of the bed did not work. Staff were friendly and helpful
- Kelsey (4/5): - Smelled like cigarettes in a non smoking room, room was not very clean looking and bed did not smell very nice. Will not be returning to this motel.
- Mike (8/5): - Room was just ok. TV was NOT user friendly. Could use some improvement s
- Jose (8/5): - It’s a good option for the price. Housekeeping should definitely be better.
- Marie (8/5): - Ok for the price , clean
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok for a 1 night stay I guess. - Front desk reception was good.
Shower head was moving in the wall when trying to adjust it.
Check out is at 11 AM, good thing i always put the keychain, room service didnt knock and just opened it with key at 8 am and 9 am..
I mean, if I haven't checked out at front desk, can you let me sleep?
Other than that, nothing to say.
Would personnaly not book again.
- Liang (10/5): - Nice
- Cezar (10/5): - Good location to stop by. Not great, but it works well for a 1 night stop.
- Rob (10/5): - People were wonderful...tooms were fine...ni issues at all.
- Jean-François (4/5): - La salle de bain était rouillée, la ventilation était mauvaise, odeur de cigarette en entrant dans la chambre et les matelas étaient peu confortables. Si vous pouves trouvez de quoi, allez voir ailleurs
- Tami (8/5): - I was very happy with my stay at this hotel
- Hugh (8/5): -
- Jasmin (8/5): - very good shower pressure
- karim hassaan taher (2/5): - Bed sheets smelled terrible and room was so humid and poor drapes, overall condition was terrible
- SANDRA (8/5): - They are good people who aim to please. Nothing fancy but the location and price will bring us back
- Di (10/5): - Fantastic!
- Maggie (4/5): - Note, we only stayed one night; however, it would seem Motel Le Transit is where one goes when they do not want to sleep. This motel seemed like party central - noise all night long (loud talking, laughing, doors opening and closing). The rooms were in desperate need of a deep clean and a reno wouldn't hurt. We would choose to stay elsewhere if we found ourselves traveling through that part of Quebec again.
- Jeannine (8/5): - The front door was locked from the inside so we could not get out and no one told us when we registered. We looked for another door and found another door at the back unlocked. While there is a bell at the desk no one answered
It was unsettling as we had a meeting to go to.
- Monica (8/5): - Nice place
- Verified traveler (2/5): Ew - A place you should skip
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The place was better than it looked, there was a bar upstairs which was . I only stayed here because my car broke down and the mechanics were closed till the next day, I would choose somewhere else if you have the money but this place is medium clean with no bugs
- Tony (4/5): - Not worth it
- William (6/5): - First clerk at hotel was less than friendly. Clerk next morning much better
- James (8/5): - perfect location
- Francois (6/5): What an bad welcome - Service at thé réception bad, thé y didn’t fond m’y réservation. Lucky, I Hadi it on paper
- Kristin (4/5): - Room smelled aweful - old and stale. All facilities were outdated. Not great value.
- Juliana (2/5): - The person at the front desk did not give me the type of room I reserved. Instead of a renovated room with a queen bed, I was given a non renovated room with 2 beds. This room was previously given to another guests and they returned the room key to her after they did not like it. She then gave them keys to a different room. She then gave me the previously returned key. She even asked me if I had a problem with it and I replied yes. She just looked at me. Since this was the only hotel left in the area at 10pm at night, I took the room since I had no other choice. I also had to pay for the room with my credit card again although I paid for it through Expedia as a non refundable room. She said that was the way since Expedia will not be paying the hotel. I definitely will not recommend this hotel to anyone.
- Irina (8/5): - Just good Motel on a way
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Check in was painful. I rang for service, then when the woman finally came she spoke to a man that arrived after me then answered a phone call. Never acknowledging me. It was the longest check in ever. However, I would recommend this place. It’s clean, comfortable and affordable
- Verified traveler (6/5): - it was just ok ,good location close to the highway,
- Linda (8/5): - Whether was good .we like toi go again
- Kelly (2/5): - It was noted that they accepted pets when I reserved. Upon checking in they no longer accepted pets so I had to find a different motel last minute
- Denis (10/5): Comfy stop - Very nice quiet spot friendly staff will stay again
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The stay was ok. The bed wasn’t overly comfy and the toilet and taps made a lot of noise after you were done using them. Also it had freezing rained over night and there was no salt or sand put down on the ground. We left around 930-10 and it was very difficult to get to our vehicle and leave the parking lot it was a big safety concern but they did not seem to be doing anything about it.
- Gloria (8/5): - The room was clean, comfortable, elegant and spacious, with a refrigerator and a microwave which are convenient.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - No issues with the check in and the staff was so good.
- seed02 (6/5): Decent - Stopped in for a nights rest on our way to visit family in Amqui. Decent motel with most amenities, blow dryer etc. Coffee in the lobby and bar with gambling machines. Rooms are a bit dated bed was not bad but could use updating to more comfortable mattress. Check in staff was more concerned with answering her cell phone then checking us in promptly. Location was convenient just off the hwy.
- Joseph (6/5): - The room was clean but I think it was overpriced because during my trip, I booked rooms at other motels that were as good or even better for way less money. I don't think that the lady at the desk knows how to smile and she was not nice at all. I ask for a cup of tea and she told me that they didn't had any (which I was willing to pay for it) I said there's tea bags right there on the table and she replied - that's for tomorrow morning. That didn't make sence to me at all so I got in my car and drove to a restaurant to get one.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location and service was excellent. I would stay there agian. I recommend this motel
- Rick (10/5): - Good value and close to Ritchie Bros Auction with parking truck with trailer
