• Paul (10/5): So relaxing and beautiful sun rises in the morning - Well we were beach front in a large room with a big balcony, the view was beautiful, reminded me of Koh Samui before the development happened . Extremely peaceful and the staff were amazing , friendly and would do anything to make your stay special . Could walk to all the shops and bars etc , did a great boat tour which was recommended by them and was fantastic, just my husband and I and a tour guide and 2 boatmen. The food on the boat trip was amazing as well . Extremely safe and friendly

A great place to relax & watch the World go by or simply walk down a few stairs & into the ocean. Although the facilities were comfortable, they have been around for some time. But this was more than offset by the friendly & helpful staff.

• DARREN (10/5): Coral Blue stay - The welcome we received when we arrived was lovely and kicked us off to a fabulous start. The location was superb, waking up to the view from the bed or balcony was incredible. The breakfast was pretty good too. The hours that the bar operates was only 6pm to 9pm including the food availability, however there is plenty of options within 5 minutes. They offer a range of cocktails and when we ordered 2 we were told we would get them to the suite, we then waited 25-30 minutes and thought something was up. So the 2nd time I only ordered a cocktail and I wanted to wait at the bar as I thought it would speed it up, I was then told they would bring it up. Again it took like 20 minutes. I think the bar person/waiter/receptionist was checking you tube and then making it as there was no one else at the bar at the time I ordered. We were also told that if we wanted our room cleaned we have to ask which I thought given the rating of the hotel and the premium payment/experience they should clean it without us asking. We also had to ask for clean towels when we needed them as these were not changed daily. Overall im writing a totally honest review and I would recommend the stay here

Nos han tratado fatal y debido al tifón hemos tenido bastantes problemas y no han ayudado en nada. Contratamos 3 noches de las cuales solo disfrutamos 1, y no ha habido detalle alguno por parte del alojamiento, al contrario, nos han cobrado hasta el mínimo detalle

• earl wescombe (3/5): Corkage charge for drinks brought from outside - Hi villa was very nice. The view was lovely. The villa was 3x the price of surrounding resorts. The included free breakfast was not free,( disappointing) and there was no water pressure and no hot water. Not at all what you would expect for the price. You are charged a corkage free if you bring in outside drinks, and you couldn't bring in food from outside. I have never encountered this in my numerous travels. I would not recommend.

• Richard (8/5): Would stay there again ... one needs to really understand that Bantayan is a "remote" island. - Lovely balcony room with a great view of the water. It's really not a "beach resort" really more like a very nice beach house. The beach itself is quite small but beautiful water. Breakfast was fine. Staff was great. Especially appreciate that I left something in the room and they found it and had it shipped to me via LBC. Good location, easy to walk to restaurants. Water pressure in the shower could have been a bit better.

• Dave (5/5): Disappointing - I love the native style reception and restaurant area. The staff were excellent, apart from the chef, who shouldn't be called a chef really. The room itself was ok and the bed comfortable. Very nice native balcony overlooking the ocean. The bathroom of the villa was truly horrible. By sticking to the native theme, they used rough flagstone flooring, which stays permanently wet. Food was of very poor quality. I had the tourist breakfast, which was totally inedible. I also ordered chicken cordon blue and got chicken snitzel, dry, tasteless rubbish. There is no actual beach in front of the property, just a massive sea wall. There is a small public beach to the side of the property.

Did trips to Virgin island and mangroves which are highly recommended. Only downside is lack of communication before the visit with emails en whatsapp unanswered

Good location, close to main road and to restaurants. Wifi wouldn’t reach some of the rooms, no parking lot, toilet flush has weak pressure.

• Fiona (7/5): Overall it was a good place to stay in Bantanyan - The staff were wonderful, helpful, very polite and friendly. The room was a good size and the bed was large and comfortable. Our room (No 2) was right on top of the bar and dining area - there was a lot of constant noise from the staff and locals and music from early in the morning until late afternoon. The “view” from the balcony to the water is very narrow and you had to crouch down to see out. There was only lukewarm water in the shower and the last morning there was no hot water. The pillowcases were threadbare and falling to pieces

The view was amazing from our balcony villa and the food at the restaurant delicious. It's also close to MJ Square for other food and entertainment options. Would love to come back again!

• Domenico (6/5): A rare bamboo hotel which worths a visit - The location is very nice and the service is very good: staff was friendly and eager to satisfy our needs. The restaurant offers satisfactory and cheap dishes. The breakfast is good and included in room price; it's also possible to order a special breakfast (additional price) but from my point of view is not necessary. The location is really nice and during the night you can hear just the noise of the waves: great for sleeping. Lack of maintenance: the first night was raining on my bed. No toiletery and hairdryer.

Traditional look and enormous bed which was very comfortable. the bathroom was spacious and well equipped, no hot water, but why would you in the Philippines? The towels here are very thin and quite small, so we did need more of them during the stay. Tiled floor was very slippery when wet so be careful

• Norbert (10/5): Exceptional - This accommodation is ideal for a very relaxing holiday right by the sea. We really liked the concept of the bamboo buildings. The always friendly and helpful staff will fulfill your every wish, even if something is not on the menu. Activities such as island hopping are also offered. Despite the large amount of sand around the resort, the rooms were always clean. We would check in there again at any time. I can't t say anything negative

The units could use some upgrades …air conditioning struggles to keep room cool enough. Bathroom needs to be remodeled. Stray cats need to be removed.

• Laagan! (8/5): Very good - I liked the rooms we stayed in. They were clean and beds were comfortable. Staff were polite and obliging. The beach is not that great. The atmosphere was average and flat. There was lack of good places to go to at night.

• Samina (7/5): Good - It’s bamboo-themed resort. The staff were friendly and were honest with the rates and the tips for the island. Food at the restaurant was good. The aircon was not cold, it’s beachfront hotel but there’s technically no beach shore in front as there is a cement barricade.

No coffee or tea or electric pot available. No beach towels eventhough this was a beach resort. The refrigerator was inside the bathroom.

The entire staff were absolutely wonderful, genuinely attentive, and extremely professional. Not a single area for improvement. Seriously, it was that perfect!
• James (4/5): Place had no atmosphere. - Nothing. Didn’t stay much at the location. From our villa view, more palapa rooftops than actual ocean view's. Room toilets hardly work and doesn’t flush well. Had a bucket that was rusted on the handle that we had to used. Ceiling fan doesn’t work. Hair blower plug doesn’t work in the restroom outlet. Family room had no A/C where the television is located.

• Dwayne (10/5): - Coral Blue Oriental Beach Villas & Suites is a paradise getaway! We stayed in the Beach Suite with the beach view. It was a one night getaway for Valentine's Day 2024 and a surprise for my significant other and she was thoroughly pleased. The ambiance is very romantic for this particular suite. The staff was very friendly, the accommodation was clean and quiet and the location is walking distance to very good restaurant's, entertainment and 20 yards from the beach. Sitting on the balcony and listing to the waves crash was so relaxing. We enjoyed are stay and highly recommend Coral Blue Oriental Beach Villas & Suites. We will absolutely stay again!
• Bertrand (5/5): Could be a gem but forsaken - Nice location on the main beach of the island. Overall we are very disappointed by this hotel, which could be a real gem. Indeed, a lot of things need to be improved: Should have pick us up at the ferry, and did not. Electricity shocks in the shower that forced us to request the water boiler to be stopped. We stayed in this hotel 7 nights and they never repaired it, so that we had no hot water in the showers. Trash can at the entrance of the hotel that was not emptied for 5 days. Every morning, despite 10 guests maximum in the hotel, we were waiting 45 mn to have our breakfast. During 2 days, the cooker was absent, so the staff served us a day old omelet and dry bread. No towels in the room when we arrived on our first day. No beach chairs on the beach that is never cleaned despite all the plastics. No party or special dinner for new year eve. The personnel is smiling but completely inefficient. Need a real manager.
