- Martin (7/5): Only for for young and undemanding visitors - Great location This little hotel is situated just right next to Taksim square. The location is excellent. The reception is operated by the owner. We rented a family room located in the basement. The room was accessed via a very steep spiral staircase leading to the basement. The room was very dividing, full of stairs, no windows and very simply furnished. The room is not suitable for guests over 60 or guests with reduced mobility. The beds are Japanese style mattresses based on the floor, which was a big problem for my almost 80 year old mother. The bathroom is small but quite nice, just needs some repair. The hotel does not provide breakfast. We only used the room for sleeping. The TV had no international channels, but only 4 local ones. In my opinion, the hotel does not meet even the average standard of comfort.

Japon kulturu ile dosenmis. Kötü bir deneyim yasamadim. Şimdi negatif yanlarına gelelim. Klima kumandası yok odada. İstenildiğinde yukarıdan kapatıldı kullanmamalısınız denildi. Arızaya bağlı olduğun sanmıyorum. Havaların isinmasina bağlı olduğunu düşündüm. Klimayı kullanamadım. İkincisi ise sıcak su 10 dakika sonra bitti ki bence bu iki nokta önemliydi. Fiyat performans oteli.

And they are willing to help you to find a taxi if you need it to the airport. Find a lot of ants coming from bottom/sole plate. But it is not bothering us much

On - Nothing Please please and please update all the photos in your Booking.com ads. Nothing resembles what I saw and why I booked. I ended up needing to book an extra single room for the 4 of us. I booked a family room as stated with single beds etc. Were given 2 double beds in a very cramped quarters with nowhere to sit except on the beds. We do feel cheated or scammed. As above

- Mahmut (6/5): - Location is amazing, at the heart of the famous Taksim square, very close to all the restaurants and coffee shops and bars and entertainment. Very close to the metro station and bus station, and there are many taxi cabs around. Check in was very easy and staff was very friendly and helpful. Elevator worked very well, but it is only for two people. Internet also worked well. TV has good channels. Hot water was good. The following are the negatives. It may get really noisy on weekends because there are so many teenagers hanging out on the street and drinking until morning. In the morning cleaning and trash people made some noise. Room Cleaning also needs some improvement because they were hair either from previous person or the cleaning staff around. Also, I couldn't run the heater on AC, but the central heating system was working fine. Bed was very comfortable however, they have one type of pillow which was too high for me.

- Ugur (8/5): - Had the deluxe room. Best location (right in the beginning of İstiklal Street and just behind the French consulate), friendly and helpful staff, clean... Needs a bit renovation and rejuvenation, but in general one of the best options for especially short stays.

Döndüğümde oda temizliği bitmemişti. Görevli beklettikleri için çıkış saatimi telafi amaçlı uzatabileceğimi söyledi. İstiklale yakın olmasına rağmen yoğun gürültü duymadım. Olumsuz eleştiri olarak biraz soğuktu petek yeteri ısıda değildi benim tercihim klima kullanmıyorum. Bu durumda peteklerdeki ısı az geldi.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Konum güzel,İstiklale 1-2dk yürüyüş mesafesinde.standart odalar çok küçük ama temiz,yataklar rahat.Devamlı sıcak su mevcut.Lüx ve vasat üstü konfor beklentisi olanlara göre değil bence.Uygun fiyatlı transfer imkanı sunuyorlar.Özellikle akşamları resepsiyonda duran yetkili bay herzaman güleryüzlü ve çok ilgiliydi.İstanbul seyahatlerimde muhtemelen yine bu tesisi tercih edeceğim.

- Evangelia (5/5): Didn't worth the money - Great location , very near to istlikal street and near Taksim! Good service in everything we asked for and the stuff was very friendly and helpful! The double room we stayed it was in the basement of the building with no windows, light and fresh air and unfortunately there was a very unpleasant bad smell coming from the bathroom...... constantly/the floor in the bedrooms was covered by a carpet just to cover a wooden floor full with big holes !!!! Impossible and danger to walk on this!!! Very tiring and uncomfortable 😖 Japanese style with lots of steps to move around in the room...no cupboards to put your clothes / kept it all in our luggage No toiletries....we had to ask for some shower gel Room needs to be restored....holes at the doors in bedrooms etc

- Ziyadkhanli (8/5): Enjoyed my stay - Friendly staff. Helped when needed. They have touring services to different places. Very close to the shopping street of Taksim Square. Lovely stores to visit. The bedding was not always clean. Be aware. There is a Church accross the steet and a Mosque. The Mosque has announcements during the night for praying time. Stores can be expensive and be aware of pick pocketing.

- Abel (10/5): - October 2023 Excellent hotel, staff, location. Stayed at Bunkahaus for 4 nights. Bekram and Maya were extremely helpful, calling places on our behalf. The hotel is just off Taksim Square so it's very convenient for getting around. If you close the windows and turn on the AC, you won't hear minimal street noise, or the call to prayer. The large room was only US$55 pn and comes with all the usual amenities (tea/coffee, TV, safe, soaps, etc). You're 1 street down from "the" Istikal Street so there's unlimited eating and entertainment. We are very happy with Bunkahaus, and if we return to Istanbul, we would definitely stay there again.

They should be careful for the cleaning, there was some hair on the bed but i asked to change it and they did . I asked for a late check out one more hour but they didn’t give me 😢 i was sick 🤢 and i stayed 1 hour down in the lobby waiting my transportation.

- Ismail (10/5): Bunkahaus Hotel is in a great location, with clean rooms, and provides excellent customer service. - Bunkahaus Hotel was one of the best hotels I have stayed in from all my travels! I stayed in the King Suite room, which is a good size for up to 2 people. This hotel is in an amazing location as it was only 2 minutes away from both Taksim Mosque and Taksim Square; public transport was also good around the area. What made this hotel unique was the Japanese theme, which is something totally different that you won't see in other hotels. The hotel rooms were clean and room service was amazing. I came back to the hotel room every evening to find it tidy and replenished with towels and toiletries. The Hotel staff Mia and Bekram were extremely friendly, and they helped me out with everything I needed. Their English was excellent, so it was very easy to communicate. Also, they sorted me out with a SIM card at a great price and even set it up for me. They also sorted out taxi transfers for me at a great price, which was half the price that regular taxi drivers were going to overcharge me for. Overall, I would give this hotel 10/10 and I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I was to come back to Istanbul. There is nothing that I did not like - I would highly recommend this hotel to other people looking to go to Istanbul. Especially if you would like to stay within the Taksim area, which I would recommend as opposed to the Sultan Ahmet area (Old City). The area is much nicer and developed, there is more shops, restaurants, cafes, and activities to do.

The location (very close to the metro station - we could reach easy all the places), the room (comfortable beds and pillows, clean services every day) and our sweet receptionist Maya who she helped us with everything we needed!
