• Three Bedroomed Chalet

  This 3-bedroom chalet is accessible by stairs and features views of the Indian Ocean. The main bedroom is located on the upper level and features private balcony. The second and third bedrooms are on the lovwer level. There is an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. The dining area has a dining table with chairs and the lounge has a flat-screen TV with selection satellite channels. Sliding doors from the lounge area lead onto the patio with a seating area as well as private BBQ facilities. The kitchen has a full-height fridge and freezer, 4-plate electric stove and oven, toaster, microwave and electric kettle. The private bathroom has a bath, toilet and basin, while the second bathroom has a shower, toilet and basin. The accommodations offers an open, secure parking bay.

• Portia (10/5): - The chalets are clean and serviced daily My kids enjoyed the swimming pool and I really enjoyed the jacuzzi. Though we did not cook during our stay, it will be great if they can upgrade the cooking utensils and table setting utensils.

• Karin (8/5): All in all it was lovely, especially for a big group like ours. - We did not have breakfast at the place we were staying. Initially it was tricky to get to the venue but we managed with GPS. The walkway between the chalets and the stairs to the top bedrooms.

• Noluyolo (7/5): Mostly good. Just needs a cleaning boost. - The place is beautiful, safe and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our chalet was not swept after the previous guests. The lounge and kitchen area was not obvious but the bedrooms upstairs and the bathroom had visible dirt. There were clumps of hair extensions on the bedroom floor and a make up brush that had fallen and was not picked up. The cleaning lady only came and wiped the counter tops the next day.

• Sandra (10/5): Schönes Holzchalet am Strand mit wunderschönem Meerblick - Schöne Holzchalets. Super ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht. Sauber, tägliche Reinigung. Sehr nettes zuvorkommendes Personal. Schöner Pool, den wir sehr genossen haben. Kurzer Weg an den Strand. Restaurant Guido's auch nur 5 Minuten entfernt und eine kleine Beach Bar mit sehr gutem Eis. Insgesamt haben wir unser Chalet sehr genossen, besonders die tolle Aussicht auf den indischen Ozean. Es wäre schön wenn es ein größeres Bett gäbe, nicht nur Queen Size.

• Carol (8/5): - The family chalet was clean, comfortable and spacious with a beautiful view. The bed was comfy and bathrooms were modern. It was close to the private entrance to the beach side. The property has a nice pool and a playground which the kids enjoyed. It's good they cleaned very well, but when we opened the fridge, the smell of bleach was overwhelming and it stayed through our stay so they may need to adjust the amount of bleach used. Also, small thing- we paid for 2 night's stay but the complimentary tea/coffee was not refilled for the next morning even when it was empty after housekeeping so there was only enough for one coffee per adult for the first morning. Even with the above things we didn't like, we'd stay again if we visit Port Alfred again.

• Bridget (10/5): - “It’s a very short and safe walk to the beach. The Jacuzzi was clean and easy to pre-book, and all the staff — from the gardeners through to reception — were exceptionally friendly.” I would recommend at least 3 nights, we sadly only stayed one.

• Shelley J (7/5): Comfortable stay - Our family group had two spacious, comfortably furnished chalets. Clean bathrooms, comfortable beds, lots of cupboard space, fresh decor, plenty of seating in the lounge and dining areas. Good daily servicing. The youngsters enjoyed swimming in the pool and playing garden chess. Convenient location for access to beach and marina, and good security. The chalets are in need of maintenance work - the door locks and window hinges in particular. One of our chalets had water pressure issues in the bathroom. Not suitable for elderly guests or the infirm because of the distance between the car park and chalets, and lack of porters. There appears to be no ramp, only long wooden walkways with stairs.

• Cameron (1/5): Disappointed - False advertising, scam. When I booked the pictures showed sea view, garden view and pool view as well as the booking confirmation confirms all the views. Upon Checkin the chalet did not have any views as per pictures and confirmation.

Was pleased to get a check in call too the morning we were due to arrive. Tin opener did not work and in a self catering place that is a bigger issue than it may sound. We struggled to get access as the number on the gate was answered by someone who told us it was not their problem and then put the phone down. we phoned the property and were answered by a machine and our message still not returned. The pool was green and slimy. There is a precarious tile hanging from the roof two floors right above the deck picnic table making table unsafe to use. Picnic table too big for deck so cannot move around it. So - the place has awesome potential but the details not looked after at the time of our visit which was a pity.
