Guest Reviews
- Cherie (6/5): - Pool cleaner left in pool
Very strong bleach odour from bathroom Had to leave fan & light on .
Had lunch at hotel forgot our food then served it cold . And no discount with card given
Bathroom need attention #3
- josie (8/5): - room was a good size and the patio outback was great..very close to shops and central so was a great location
- GLENDA (10/5): - Everything was central to my needs, great pace to stay
- Triona (8/5): - Thank you for the stay, booked a few days out, the room was all we needed, bedding lovely, understand an older property but it looks the best it can, given the age etc. Great location for dining, shopping conveniences etc.
- Derek (10/5): - Good to have a pub attached.Meals good and being monday night took part in trivia.
- Stewart (6/5): - Staff were helpful but the noise from drunk patrons late at night was excessive.
There is also a boat business directly behind the apartments so we got that noise and smell from them during the day.
On a positive note It’s definitely well located for shopping and eating
We have stayed at other Nightcaps and have been happy but this is one I would not recommend.
- Christine (10/5): - We stayed 5 nights from check in to check out the whole experience was good. We especially enjoyed the positive attitude all staff had. Excellent beds very comfy, slept well, will definitely stay again when up in the Sunshine Coast again, thank you
- Linda (8/5): - Rooms has doors both ends so no airflow.
- MARK (8/5): Comfy one night stay - Check in was messy but got sorted and an extra fee drink in the bar soothed the minor frustration. Staff were friendly. Room was big and comfy. Parking was limited so get in quick and finding the place was odd as it's set back off the road. Bistro meal was very good value though having my main arrive when I'd barely started my entree seemed odd. A busy but vibrant pub - it was Father's Day. Central and near shops and the manager had good advice about things to do.
- Judith (10/5): - Perfect location for my needs, late check-in was handled well by very pleasant staff member. The room was clean, well presented, lovely new bed with well laundered bed linen and towels, the room seems to be nicely updated. I have stayed here before and would not hesitate to stay again, very happy with my time here.
- Rosalba (8/5): - .
- Jenice (8/5): - Perfect for our three night stay. We ate at the hotel each night. Meals and service were great. Just disappointed in our meal on the third night but would not hesitate to go back. Location was perfect. Room was good size. Bed very comfortable. Looking forward to our next visit.
- Saengdao (8/5): - We stayed one night before running the marathon so stay was short. We were right next to the beer garden so was loud when trying to sleep. Had we been there for another reason it probably wouldn’t have been an issue. Really nice to get a free welcome drink voucher. That was very cool and staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Sheamus (6/5): - Right price
- Shannon (10/5): - Great place to stay. So convenient
- Bret (8/5): - Handy being able to stay adjacent to dining area
- Trevor (10/5): - walking distance to shops and dining
- Dirk (10/5): - Very convenient, clean and great location .
- Kellylee (10/5): - Convenient, big room with everything you need.
- Heather (8/5): - Great location, walking distance to everything.
- Barbara (8/5): - The location is very convenient and it’s great to have the pub next door.
- Reg (10/5): - 10% discount on meals, two free drinks at bar, parking was easy.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Motel with pub and restaurant - Restaurant with view over marina. No microwave in room
- Aaron (8/5): - Enjoyed the convenience of late check-in and will be back
- Danella (10/5): - Staff was great, had a late check in
- Scott (10/5): - Awesome friendly helpful staff, clean room and facilities in a great spot.
- Julie (10/5): - It was very nice to stay there. Our room was very nice and we had a meal in the pub it was very nice too.
- Lyn (10/5): - From the moment we pulled in and checked in it was great. Service, cleanliness all amenities that surrounds the accommodation. Perfect spot for everything we needed
- Diane (8/5): - Close to ammenities
- Rachael (10/5): - Loved the room & area was great it has everything you need close by room service & food was excellent
- Timothy (2/5): - Requested later checkout and they said no problem only to be denied another night for checking out too late.. maybe just a miscommunication but either way won't stay again.. however Kawana waters hotel (the pub and restaurant) which is adjacent is amazing and I'd highly recommend for sure
- Ann (8/5): - as i was not used to hotels, i found it lacking crockery, toester, and microwave.
- Steven (8/5): - No dedicated parking so can be difficult at busy times due to carpark being shared with adjacent retail. Convenient with our without a car. Major shopping centre nearby with cinemas and a ferry service to Sea Life
- Graham (8/5): - Quite area
- Wendy (10/5): - Excellent! We arrived to complimentary water in our mini fridge and 2 free beverage vouchers at the bar/bistro. Very appreciative after a long drive through the rain
- Gerry (4/5): - This is a motel, in the most motel way possible. Room was small and carpet appeared dirty. Might be quick and convenient for a guy but not so much for a female.
- Jamie (10/5): - it was convenient for my needs
- Sue (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay, the bed was very comfortable, and close to where I had to be, I plan to stay again next time I’m in town, the only thing that let the room down was the carpet was stained and needed professional cleaning and mould in the shower.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Close to everything. The pub meal wasn’t to bad either. Super comfy bed to sleep on after a busy day of shopping.
- Angelle (8/5): Good location - Overall it was fine especially for the cost. The pool hadn’t been cleaned or maintained and my airconditioner didn’t work without heavy leaking.
- Troy (10/5): - Perfect spot for our weekend away with the bar & dining facilities downstairs.
- Kylie (8/5): - Beds and pillows were the only let down. Nothing wrong with them, just uncomfortable for me. Pillows were too high and firm and single bed sunk in the middle otherwise great stopover stay with the bistro right downstairs
- Samantha (10/5): - Friendly staff and close to beach
- Melanie (4/5): - Noisy.
Could have been cleaner.
Aircon playing up
Limited parking
- Anne (8/5): - Wasn't informed that my room was upstairs on booking.
Couldn't connect to wifi.
Staff very approachable & helpful
- Maddison (4/5): Uncomfortable room - The bed was dreadfully uncomfortable barely any amenities in the room
- Serg (8/5): - A little load but easy access to the bar and facilities
- Emma (10/5): - The room was cleaner & more comfortable than a well known resort I have stayed at. There were however some minor maintenance issues evident (old carpet stains, cracked shower floor tile, small rust spot in bathroom) but they did not detract from the comfort of the room. Overall a good stay and very short walk to the shopping centre & other shops, short drive to beach.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very good
- Bob (10/5): great location - Great location part of the ALH hotel near water and the Water Taxi
Free parking
- Michael (8/5): - Not bad for one night, room was comfortable and convenient for our stay. Staff lovely and helpful, attached to a pub so a little bit of noise but we knew this on booking so wasn’t an issue.
Would recommend a stay for a quick/convenient option.
- Brent W (10/5): - Was the perfect spot to stay for what I needed
- Karen (10/5): - Clean, quiet, and comfortable rooms, convenient to tavern for dinner and shops. Amazing bed, but usual hard/big motel pillows. Stayed one night on business trip. Would stay again.
- Ranae (10/5): - Loved the location and dinner on the marina.
- Eric (10/5): - I enjoy staying as everything is close by
- Michael (8/5): - The room was comfy and clean but someone was obviously smoking in the units somewhere and the smoke alarm went off at 1.15am. Only for a minute but woke us.
- JENNIFER (8/5): - Hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. Hotel restaurant offers a great variety of food at a fiscount if you stay. Staff are exceptional
- Sharyn (10/5): - Great stay and lovely and clean
- Ralph (4/5): - Receptionist was agresssive when questioned regarding secure parking and use of a hotel trolley - parking was outside in the general area and the only trolley's were from Dan Murphy's adjacent - we were misled
No face washers, only one hand towel, no tissues, the bathroom door stop was a steel post which banged against the glass door to the shower - rather dangerous!
Once bitten, twice shy - never again
- Andrew (10/5): - All the staff were friendly helpful. And catered to all our needs. Also great food 😋
- Keith (6/5): - Suited me for the night.
Manager Maria was not that friendly.
But a nice complex food nice all other staff great.
- Herewini (10/5): - Great to be right next to the hotel with great food. Staff were very helpful and friendly also.
- Konrad (2/5): - The accommodation was too small and dirty from leaves etc that had blown in from outside. The noise from either the pub patrons or next door was extreme and we had to phone reception to have it quieten down, which unfortunately didn't help as it only stopped because of the lateness when it did around 1am.
- Jodie (10/5): - good budget accomodation clean and tidy,
a little bit of noise from hotel in middle of night
- David (8/5): Nightcap at Kawana - I stayed 1night ate the tavern on site and everything was good. I left at 6 am and there were no dramas.
- Damien (10/5): - Staff where great, room fresh and clean and room service very quick.
- Barry (10/5): - All you could want is on site or nearby
- Laurie (10/5): - Very clean room, actual milk you could have a coffee,
- Leanne (8/5): - Always good to stay here. A little noisy when people upstairs though would benefit from sound proofing in ceiling
- Josina (10/5): - Staff n service excellent. Food was delivered quickly and portions were on point. We dined in and had room service delivery, both times service was excellent. Housekeeping team were very friendly and my g/ daughters stuffed toys were nicely placed after our room was serviced each day.
- Daryl (10/5): - I was only there one night but was very comfortable great location I will be back some time to enjoy the pub it looks great .Shame I got sick from the flight up but better next time.
- Shirley (10/5): - Convenient
- Eric (10/5): Clean and Comfortable - Check in only took a minute then my room was clean, tidy and comfortable
- Tory (10/5): - Easy access to everything
- Suphawadee (10/5): - Very beautiful and comfortable room. Although it's next to the pub it's still quiet enough to get some good sleep. Very close to shops and transport too.
- Debra (10/5): - Was very convenient and the staff were amazing.
- Scott (10/5): - Easy parking
- Annette (8/5): - Close to facilities, clean, friendly
- Mark (10/5): - great pub and excellent staff
- Eric (10/5): My stay was top shelf. - I was greeted with a smile and a friendly chat which set the trend for my entire stay. all of the staff were very friendly and the accommodation was top shelf.
- Cheryl (10/5): - fantastic staff were awesome accomadation was clean tidy meals were 10/10 going back at easter
- Kaisa (10/5): - It’s exactly what it says and what we needed just for one night. The restaurant and bar next door is amazing.
- Laki (10/5): - Super friendly and very helpful staff. The hotel is within easy walking distance to shopping mall and beaches nearby.
Fantastic bar and restaurant is part of the hotel.
- Asher (8/5): Excellent value stay - Conveniently located, on site food or a very short walk to the IGA and a few other restaurants.
- Nicole (10/5): - Happy
- Ritchie (10/5): - The restaurant is popular with locals, the rooms look newly renovated, basic toiletries are provided and ample parking.
Suitable for families or travellers heading to sunshine coast.
- Paula (10/5): - Staff were lovely, our room was clean except for the carpet, it needs a shampoo. Price was great, this time of the year ( Christmas). I would stay there again, for sure.
- Neville (10/5): - Great thank
- Helen (10/5): - Good cheap accommodation
- Alain (8/5): - A unique set up with everything nearby, including the vibes from the pub and restaurant
- Sioban (6/5): - As usual, it wasn’t nearly as good as the pictures online, but it is really central to everything &bsurprisingly quiet for being next to a pub.
- Debra (10/5): - Great for a stop over
Good service, grest area
- tracey (10/5): - It was great staying here would recommend anyone to stay for a short time or a long time great service
- Tania (6/5): - No complaints about the staff.. all friendly. However the house maids ,although friendly, managed to throw out some personal items.
If you score a room closest to the pub area, it can be very noisy, even with your balcony door shut. And the constant slamming of the gate near the main reception area is very annoying.
The pool only gets cleaned somewhat just once a week.
The food at the restaurant was dry and overcooked.
- Yvonne (10/5): - Staff were so friendly
- Nicole (10/5): - Very polite staff regardless of what time we arrived. Room teady and clean
- Merissa (10/5): - Lovely property, with delicious food options onsite
- Ellie (4/5): - After hours number rang out for close to 2 hours, we were left stranded. No note to direct people to bar for check in. Manager offered no apology or empathy, just an excuse of being busy in the bar. Had people walking past room to pub and car park so really noisy. Room itself clean and bed comfy so if you check in during business hours and can sleep through noise, an affordable option.
- Sue (10/5): - Great property- very friendly and helpful lady on reception- we’ll definitely go back.
- Christopher (10/5): - The reception person was very friendly and informative - the bed was extremely comfortable and I like that the water in the fridge and milk are both complimentary. Great stay there. Will be back
