- Debra (8/5): Shen apartments - Shen apartments were a convenient, well appointed place to stay in Yeppoon. Our bedroom was comfortable and clean. My only complaint is regarding the shower in the corner spa bath. The glass screen made getting into and out of the shower difficult and somewhat dangerous. I scraped my leg on the aluminium door frame and ended up with quite a bruise. The car parking was secured.

The only minus re apartment I can identify was shower over a spa with a high spa wall. Although there was a stepping stool provided, I found accessing the shower rather awkward and not very safe. While Oshen is centrally located and walkable distance to beach and dining options it is actually on steep hill that might be challenging for people with mobility issues . Overall it was wonderful and enjoyable stay.

I had booked through Wotif and chose the facility to pay on day at hotel but the hotel automatically took payment off my credit card 2 weeks prior with no consent from me. My partner was paying for holiday on the day we arrived as a gift for me but I had already had it taken out of my c/c. I had found it cheaper to stay in the place by $25 per day but because payment had already been taken from my c/c I couldn’t save any money. Luckily they had given us an upgrade which we appreciated.

- Gibbinsp (8/5): A well located and appointed apartment. - Found this through booking.com and it didn’t disappoint. The apartment is spacious with a great view and easy access to the town. There are trolleys to bring your bags etc from the car park which is rare these days. The apartment was clean and well appointed, with nbn etc available. We are planning on being back later this year and will try to book again.

Car Park across the street seems to be a meeting point for exuberant teens, a bit noisy for enjoying the balcony. After hours security took no interest in resolving our concerns and advised us to call the police ourselves.

Access card wouldn't open the terrace gate either. Checked with reception the next day and was told "oh yeah, other people have said that too". Thats not good customer service. The fridge supplied, wouldnt get cold. No freezer. Excerise step supplied to get into the bath/shower. Then the glass door wouldnt open and i was stuck in the shower. Wasn't good value for what we paid. Won't be staying there again.

Small TV and not able to connect to the smart functions but that was ok too. Great staff and they remember your name which was a fantastic thing as a guest to hear. - superflydmw (10/5): Beautiful view of the ocean with a full kitchen and balcony - Oshen sits on top of a hill. Not all rooms face the east where the ocean is, some face slightly off (maybe 1/3 ocean view), some are actually city facing so please request for a good view if you can. Good view does come with ocean winds, so be prepared for the howling winds on high surf days. The staff are great, we met Fiona and Lynette. Our team is coming back in a month, and Fiona was nice to block out the dates while we process our company travel portal for the booking. They have a full kitchen: Oven, stove, hob, kettle, toaster, coffee pod machine (although I did not get one), washing machine with dryer, ironing board, all cooking utensils and cutlery, and a big fridge (by hotel standards). The supermarket and all shops/restaurants/cafe are just a walk down the hill (100m away). Not all the rooms are balcony + hall/kitchen + bedroom sized. Some are basic business hotel sized, with twin bed covering 2/3 of space, but they are much cheaper. So if you don’t mind walking just a bit towards the beach and sit there with your wine and cheese, Yeppoon is a sleepy town. I highly recommend Oshen Apartments. We are definitely coming back, whether for business or pleasure.

As always, if you book through wotif, you get the worst available room in the complex. Wotif needs to put pressure on properties to stop treating Wotif customers with contempt.

- 139sweeneyt (2/5): Do yourself a favour. Book somewhere else. - Wish I had read the reviews, unfortunately a colleague booked first. Concur … hearing pipes swishing with water when anyone flushes the toilet at all hours of the day or night. Unacceptable. Concur … 20 minutes to obtain hot water. Pitiful. Have never stayed anywhere in the world whereby you are charged for refilling coffee or tea satchets - or even additional milk. For the price per night these should be complimentary. Why offer coffee pods for sale when you don’t provide a pod machine (like lots of other hotels in this century) hint hint. Just think of the money you could make! Oh listen - the elephant staying in the room above just flushed the toilet ! Swoooooosh. Yes love the thumping of footsteps from above too. Lastly the spa bath is somewhat of a death trap. A plastic gym step stool no doubt very useful for step aerobics is placed on the tiles to obtain more leverage into the shower. It’s an accident waiting to happen. No rubber backing on the feet and it slips around. Bed comfortable. ✔️ AC cold. ✔️ Although I’m sure other establishments offer this. Enjoy the facetious tones of the hotels responses to comments. Shows that they don’t get it and/or don’t really care.
- Clint (8/5): Room With No View - Accommodation of this caliber should have at least a 50” to 55” TV not a 26” to 32” TV like my room? Most homes nowadays have at least a 55” to 65” TV. Also a couple of biscuits would have been a nice touch, as most hotels in this price bracket give you a couple of biscuits.
- Aaron (4/5): - Very small rooms with shared vestibule and laundry with the adjacent room. Laundry is a washer and dryer in one which takes 3 hours to do one load of laundry. Hot water takes 6 minutes to arrive to the room and told “just run the tap until the water comes up” Many dust balls on ceiling above bed. Bathtub floor unstable with crack that opens with pressure. Not the friendliest of staff.
- templetonm (2/5): Worst Experience in 30 Years! - We arrived late at Oshen’s and the late check-in was flawless, went very smoothly. That night after a very long 600km drive, going to bed all you could hear was the water in the pipes from people showering on the floors above, the walls must be very thin. The second night was the same, very noisy pipes, again hard to sleep. But to add to the noisy pipes, the wind was smashing our door and it sounded like people trying to beak in! Not good when you don’t know the area. Another sleepless night was enjoyed! Went to reception the next morning to notify them of the banging door issue and we were giving a piece of cardboard to wedge in the door. Next morning, shower time, as we had plans to meet people for breakfast, go to take a shower, no hot water!! Left the shower running for 25 minutes, still cold water. Rang reception and asked if there was an issue they knew about, “Just leave it running, this building is like that” We have stayed in many hotels, never have we had to pay for extra toilet paper or Tea and Coffee satchels. With what they charge to stay there, you would expect this to be complimentary. We certainly don’t mind paying for a service, but this was plain robbery. Personally, we will never stay there again, I will not recommend it to anyone either. I wish that I had read the reviews on this place first but with a lot of the good hotels being fully booked, our choices were limited. If you have a choice between the local Back Packers and Oshen’s… BOOK THE BACK PACKERS! I would not normally give a review this hash however the responses we got to issues were not helpful at all.

I had a studio resulting in absolute best sea views from my bed. Cute secluded heated pool. Close walking distance to shops and restaurants. I will be back

- JulieWUK (10/5): A great stay! - I stayed in a one-bedroom apartment with a group from the UK, Australia, France and Italy. We received a warm welcome on arrival from Bill and Andrea who were very friendly and keen to ensure we were all settled in. I was delighted to find soft music playing, the TV on and low lighting when I opened the door to a spotlessly clean spacious and well-equipped apartment. The balcony had lovely views over the sea and I could drop all the blinds to ensure privacy. The spa bath was huge and someone had thoughtfully provided a handy step to climb into it. It was great to be able to make use of the washing machine and do some ironing. The heated swimming pool was a real bonus and complimentary coffee is provided in the little kitchen near reception. The apartments are in a great location for walking down to the local shops and restaurants, I'd recommend Vue Wine Bar (where the wagyu steak was delicious but huge!) and Lure for an amazing breakfast. The marine is a short drive where the Waterline Restaurant couldn't do enough for us. The Oshen Holiday Apartments are the perfect base to enjoy the stunning Capricorn Coast and access Great Keppel

- Malferg (10/5): Wow - We were warmly welcomed when we arrived, later than expected. Absolutely beautiful accommodation, even better than the website. The apartment contained everything we could want and then some. Having a washing machine allowed us to travel on with clean clothes. The inside lounge was very comfortable but spent more time on the balcony. The lovely balcony with seating with the view over the ocean was very relaxing. A short stroll down the hill to the shops for take-away or a meal was convenient. This has to be the best place to stay in Yeppoon. Definitely different to when we honeymooned in Yeppoon in 1969. Hope to come back here next year.

Self contained. Large fridge. Spa bath. Gorgeous view over looking the city, out to the ocean. Well priced. Friendly staff. Short stroll to everything. Yes, steep climb uphill to accommodation from town, but doable (it's only short distance). RSL at bottom of street has live band on the deck Sundays. Highly recommend.
- knoxh157 (4/5): Great Location, sadly rude and unprofessional Reception - We stay here regularly as a family, always in the Penthouse room and are happy to spend the money on the beautiful views, quiet rooms and great location. Very disappointed and quite appalled when spending nearly $900 a night you now need to pay for coffee sachets, milk, each extra toilet roll, soap bar and conditioner you use if you exceed the items left out on arrival. Reception was also quite rude with us for not "signing in" despite being closed on arrival and not advising us we had to. Wein error left something behind and was not flexible on how to return it to us despite offering to pay for full postage. Won't be returning!

- Kristy (8/5): - For people with mobility issues the property shower/ spa is poorly designed. There is an exercise step to get into the shower which is still a big step for anyone. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. This was one of the most expensive rooms in Yeppoon at the time and our view wasn’t great on the first floor. If you are wanting bang for your buck i would go the more expensive rooms to guarantee a really good view.

The staff even had soft tunes playing in the room when we entered our room.. Talk about creating an amazing mood for us! The room had everything we needed (even a spa bathtub). The View from our bed was to die for!! We will definitely be back to stay soon!!

Lack of crockery and cutlery, only 4 of each …we put dishwasher on twice a day ( didn’t come away to wash dishes.) Wifi advertised included. Dismal WiFi We couldn’t get wifi. Used my husband phone ( at extra cost) to hotspot our iPads. It was so frustrating. Do not advertise free wifi if it’s not available Entering the car park was really difficult as we had to drive really close to wall to trigger opening with the key. Would we stay again….No, No

- KathrynL485 (10/5): Oshen is perfectly located - With a view that can't be surpassed, location that is premium and an exceptionally clean and well appointed apartment. The deck/outdoor area is a highlight, but doesn't take away from the interior which is 'on point'. The whole area of Yeppoon and the Keppel Islands is a little gem, would like to keep it a secret but it's such a must-visit location and (dare I say) eclipses it's Northern neighbour (Airlie Beach ). They have real beaches here, all of which can be viewed from the Oshen Apartments - 'do yourself a favour' and add this location and accomodation to your next Queensland adventure.
- carmofoz (10/5): Premium Everything - Premium view, facilities, room (#59). Fab unit, clean & bright, all best mod cons, big deck instead of balcony. Easy parking & unit access with elevator. Free coffee station by reception. Bed seemed newish, not firm but ok, crisp sheets, nice doona for winter nights. Tough climb to walk up Adelaide or Hill Streets, but a good workout. Reception staff great: helpful, professional, obviously proud to work there. Only drawback was terrible old faded ceiling lights, dark/grey lighting, no task lighting by couch, or little desk area, but bedside ok. Bathroom great, quality amenities, fluffy towels. Kitchen well equipped. Owner of this unit obviously takes great pride and it was a pleasure to stay for several days. Will be back.

I highly recommend this property, great value for money, superb customer service. Hotel was impeccable and close by to everything you need. Bill and Andrea are amazing Resort Managers, their experience and knowledge of knowing what a customer would like is second to none. We booked a Great Keppel Island Tour prior to arriving in Yeppoon, Andrea and Bill made this booking simple and without any issues at all. We highly recommend booking tours through Andrea and Bill. A seamless way of arranging tours. We were so surprised at the size of our large two bedroom apartment we stayed in, it was a Premium apartment and worth every cent. Secure parking included, and the view from our room was picturesque. Oshen Apartments is an asset to Yeppoon, keep up the great work!

Very small without a desk or chair - a necessity when trying to write reports at night. Recently refurbished and comfortable but very cramped. Was moved to a one bedroom apartment for the remaining three nights and the apartments are spacious, very comfortable and have great views.

- iheartravel69 (8/5): Good location - Stayed in a basic motel style room, very clean and comfortable and seems to have been recently renovated/refurbished. The bed was very comfortable. Front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. Ample parking on site and in a good location near restaurants etc. Really only loses a point from me because the design of the hotel means those rooms that aren’t ocean facing are basically facing inwards towards one another, so sitting outside on your balcony basically felt like you were sitting inside, if that makes sense. Also be aware this hotel sits atop a rather steep hill which can be a bit of a workout when you’re heading home after a few bevvies. Otherwise great, recommend.

Yeppoon is a charming town and Oshen Apartments are well located for a stroll so long as you don’t mind a short climb up a well lit street. It is the hill that makes the views from the apartments so spectacular.

- jessicapT5389CP (10/5): Lovely place for a family getaway - We stayed for 3 nights with our toddler. Check in process was easy and all staff we encountered in our stay were friendly and welcoming. Room was clean, bed comfortable and lovely views of the beach and ocean. We enjoyed the hotel pool on several occasions during our stay. Room was extremely well priced especially given the public holiday, I have stayed many places and value for money is excellent here. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

I was not totally aware about the room location and size of the room when I booked. I taught it was in a good location and with decent size room. But it was studio type which I did not know about it.
