- Jeff (2/5): - The only heat in the room was from a bottle of propane that was inside, and we were told that we had to leave the window open or we would get carbon monoxide poisoning if we didn’t. We were very cold and didn’t want to die. So we changed hotels.

- 401kristieb (10/5): One of the best hotels in Creel. - The rooms are spacious & clean & plenty of hot water. Rare in MX. There is a lovely common room with fireplace. The staff are super attentive. Mario, the manager does speak English, but really no one else. Every morning the cook makes fresh tortillas on the wood burning stove in the dining room. Breakfast is included and depending on how many people are in the hotel can be a 'buffet' or to order if just a few. But there is always fresh made apple juice, apple sauce, tortillas,& frijoles. Other meals can be found in the many restaurants near the hotel. The location is on the main road but runs parallel to the tourist area so not noisy. About a 10 min walk to El Centro. Tarahumara in their beautiful colored clothing come to town to sell their handmade goods. Many tours are available at the hotel or in town. So many great places to see. At the Valley of the Monks your guide can show you a vortex of sorts. Or visit a cave where the 82yr old grandmother was born & now lives with 9 other family members. Seems invasive but you buy something to help them exist. I am traveling solo & felt very safe.

Estaba en construcción así que no puedo opinar del estado general, pero dormimos muy cómodo. La falta mantenimiento a la entrada pues se ve casi abandonada, pero por el precio las habitaciones están bien, sólo detallitos de pintura y listo

- CrystalHmex (10/5): Not a 5 star hotel but 5 star service - Had a great stay. Rooms were comfortable Had everything we needed. No ac, but weather was nice. Best part was the staff. Front staff, lobby staff all very friendly and helpful!! Breakfast was delicious! Hotel is located in a good area close to grocery store and gas station. Felt safe and secure. There was some remodeling going on while there, however no issues. The front staff can direct you and answer any questions. They arranged a shuttle to the train station for us to get in El Chepe. Don’t expect glitz and glamor but do expect rustic homey feeling with awesome service!

En otro lugar no importaría, pero en Creel no hay nada que hacer después de ls 5 de la tarde. Además por la noche cierran el gas y el calefactor del cuarto no funciona. Lo más rescatable es el desayuno, todo es muy casero y delicioso.

The curtain in the room was thin and did not block out the BRIGHT lights from the walkway. The room was sterile with bear amenities; there was no hand towel only thin bath towels. - LGmoHdez (8/5): Best breakfast in town - We were attracted to this hotel by the picture of the nice lady making hand made tortillas and other guests’ reviews. On arrival we were placed in room number one I believe, this is the older part of the hotel, I almost decided to forgo my money as they have a no refund policy, but when I saw the rest of the hotel I requested a change of rooms, the newer part of the hotel is nice and clean, much better than the original one. Do request to stay in the newer section. The best part of the hotel is the breakfast. The hand made tortillas are the tip of the iceberg, the chilaquiles (if you are lucky as they do not have them every day) are the best I’ve had, the rest is very good. If you are being picked up for a tour, keep in mind that breakfast hours are on Mexican time, you won’t be able to have breakfast and leave until close to 9 am, but it is worthy. It is close enough to walk to the downtown area, which we did even on the night that we had dinner at a restaurant the same family owns and which provides a free ride to the hotel. The four stars is for having been given a room at first that might have been clean, but floors, especially in the bathrooms, were so old they did not look clean. In the newer section they were perfectly clean. For the price this is unbeatable.

- Concepcion Lorena (8/5): Segunda vez en Creel - Segunda vez que me hospedo con ellos. Esta vez fui con mi familia, nos hospedaron en las hab. 7 y 8 en un edificio nuevo, atrás del hotel. Las hab. Tienen lo básico, está bien porque a Creel se va a pasear todo el día, recomiendo cambiar la ducha, no es muy efectiva. Una de las razones porque volví a hospedarme ahí es por el delicioso desayuno y nuevamente me encantó! Tortillas de harina hechas a mano con huevos al gusto, con el sazón característico del norte. Tienen servicios de transporte y tours muy buenos. Si cenan en el rest. La estufa, el traslado ida y vuelta al centro está incluído. Los guías de tours Gustavo y Gilberto son excelentes.

La habitación, de buen tamaño, rústica, limpia, con TV. El lavamanos está cerca de la cama, fuera del baño. El desayuno en la mañana muy rico en el comedor, desayuno casero, buen sabor. Para las visitas guiadas en la mañana, sugiero refuercen la puntualidad con los asistentes, estuvimos esperando 20 minutos a una persona para salir de tour. Gracias por todas las atenciones.

Nos recibieron dos jóvenes con cero conocimiento, le pedí ajuste en el costo de la habitación y aunque nos dijeron que lo harían al siguiente día no fue así. La recamara no era lo que nos prometieron, nada que ver con las fotos, el estacionamiento terrible, la cobija tenía mal olor y solo una toalla y nunca nos llevaron otra. Y lo peorrrrrr Llegamos al comedor exactamente a las 9:59 Y nos dijeron que no nos podían servir por qué era solo hasta las 10 de la mañana. Y al preguntar por el reembolso nos mandaron por un tubo. Qué no se podía hacer. Muy mala experiencia y lo triste es que venimos a Creel buscando un buen rato y está gente lo hecha a perder con la actitud.

Tiene 3 habitaciones por dentro y como 10 que están por fuera y para acceder a ellas tienen sólo cemento, un patio muy grande todo tirado. Su desayuno sí está rico, muy casero y con tortillas de harina hechas ahí super ricas. El hotel Margaritas donde hice la reservación no nos la respetó y hoteles.com me recomendó este, pero definitivamente no fue un hotel agradable.

- Paty (10/5): excelente servicio - El servicio es excelente , desde recepción , la sra que da el desayuno es super linda y el comedor es muy acogedor , te dan el transporte y estan pendiente d e ti todo el tiempo , al hotel le están inviertiendo a las habitaciones , cosa que es muy bueno porque podrián estra más bonitas , pero es 100 % recomendable en todo mi viaje en el chepe es el hotel donde nos hicieron sentor como en casa

- StephanieR2147 (2/5): Worst hotel I’ve ever been in - I have never stayed in a worse hotel. In fact, we didn’t even stay the night. We sacrificed our payment and went to another hotel. The room were extremely outdated, which is fine. However, when the rooms smelt horrible and were not clean it was unacceptable. The location is on the main freeway, away from resturaunts and the main tourist street. Have a look at the pictures of the dirty towels. The rooms had a horrible mould smell. In the end, we found much nicer hotels in the area charging almost half their cost. Even their tour cost was double!!!
- FelizaLR8 (10/5): Excelent place to stay! - Hotel Posada del Cobre is a comfortable, clean and amazing place to stay. It is 10 minute walking from the train or bus station. It is not located on the main street, but for us that was so much better. Also breakfast is included, which is delicious! A completely recommendable place to stay!
- rcm682 (10/5): Nice place - We booked here because of the good Trip Advisor reviews. Our initial impression when getting off the shuttle bus was."Oh NO' what have we done? The hotel could use some re roofing to spruce it up (old mangled looking tin roof) . After our initial discouragement we entered the hotel and are happy to report our 4 nights there were great. The room is basic,The wifi in the lobby is OK (although a minor quibble about the condition of some of the furniture there) and the restaurant is wonderful (the food is homemade and very authentic). The tours were booked through the hotel and although our tour guide (Lalo) spoke Spanish I asked at the front desk upon leaving if tours were available in English and was told "yes".
- Hotel Posada del Cobre (10/5): Awesome Hotel with Great Service - The Hotel staff were wonderful and extremely helpful. Weather is amazing and at night, it cools down to sleep comfortably.
- hjalmar2 (4/5): There are much better hotels in Creel - It's incredible that this hotel is - after Trip Advisors ratings - the second best in Creel. There are now 55 hotels in this town, so you have a lot of opportunities to choose better. We were met at the train station by a hotel driver, but, as we had already booked a van for our tour around Creel, we took our van to the hotel. Perhaps - as various guests have already pointed out - the fact that we did our tours not using the hotel van, was the reason for our mistreatment later... The hotel is very small and lies behind a restaurant. They have built a new section, but it was not ready at the beginning of May. We got rooms 1 (the ceiling was not completely painted) and 2 (with a view against an unfinished wall one meter behind). The rooms had two good beds and the bath fixtures did work properly. Outside the rooms there is a very small place where five people can sit on wooden benches and two others in a couch behind. The breakfast room is also not big enough for half of the guests having their meal at the same time. The breakfast was very good, eggs prepared to order in different styles, for which we did not pay any extras. Taking into account the primitivity of the installations, the cramped space and the fact that you are on the main road, a fifteen minutes walk away from the town square, the 78 dollars we paid Expedia for each room were excesive. But this is not the end of the story. As we were leaving for the train station, we asked the receptionist to be taken there. She answered us - in spite of the driver having asked her in front of us if he was taking the van - that there was not van available... We took our luggage and went on foot... and before arriving at the station we saw the van drive by and afterwards we saw it again parked at the station... A really petty vengeance for not having used it for our tours... As managed as it is, this hotel has not future
- glennd498 (4/5): So new it's not finished. - Room #8 in this small facility had no place but the floor for your luggage and things. No shelves, hooks, towel bars, closet or furniture. There is no heat or a/c in the room. You could here a phone viberate in the room next door. No dead bolt or security chain on the door. Only one ceiling light fixture.Staff speaks no english. About 9 blocks from train or bus station. The breakfast was very good, cooked to order. The shower was great as well.
- Jo-Ann (2/5): Never Stay Here !!! - I would NEVER stay here. I was booked through Hotels.com as I was going into an area I did not know. It is in a somewhat isolated community so I did not want to wait to arrive to find accomodations. HOWEVER, when we arrived at this hotel we were very discouraged as it is not in a good area of town. We did not feel safe so we chose NOT to stay here.
- Trina (8/5): Very nice staff! - It's a small place that is currently working on expanding. Not a luxury stay by any means but economical, clean, friendly, and a good breakfast. Took a tour of the area with them and had a great time.

- zzrlilli (10/5): Good place to stay in Creel - A good place to stay in Creel. The staff are great and the price is very competitive. The rooms are very clean and the showers are hot. There is a fireplace inside which makes for a good place to meet fellow travellers. Many thanks to Arturo - a great guide and very skilled driver. Don Lalo was also great in making us feel welcome and for detailed advice on the local area.
- R A (8/5): - Great place, amazing breakfast. Pedro the tour guy attached to the hotel was super helpful even though we didn't take a tour. Gas fires in room great for depths of winter!
- ehrstromd (8/5): Exceptional support from staff - Despegar.com has sold me a room in over booking. The hotel could not host me that night (16 Sept) The Manager has spent hours and kilometers of her own vehicule to find a solution in a different hotel (finally found at 9pm) Amazing support. Very bad service from Despegar. Com (never got refunded)
- NicoAriza (8/5): Nice and clean - Nice and clean hotel very close to the chepe station and with very nice staff. The hotel is cheap for what it is and you can get tours to nice places around the copper Canyon with the staff. Would recommend to stay here again
