• Anna (5/5): Fair price for this place. We won’t there back. - Location is in historical landmark. Near Grayson Highlands State Park. Peaceful. Beautiful nature, small creek. The water has unpleasant scent, because of the healing springs. We wish the cabin was more cleaner and more lighter.
• Darlene (8/5): Nice and secluded Getaway - Loved the character of the cabin. It had a lot of the original including the fireplace but all the wonderful comforts that you expect from a high end hotel. I talked with the owners on the phone and they were exceptionally nice. They were not around while I was there. I saw some of the help out and about and they went out of the way to be very helpful. The healing springs water is wonderful! Make sure you have some type of container to pump some in. They actually have gallon jugs of it for sale! The cabin we were in had a small bathroom with a nice size shower but, the base jutted out and I tripped while carrying something and did not see it. Everyone was great other than when I went to check in and the person working the desk came in and said I was too early and would have to come back in 35 mins. I said, " I will just sit here and wait, if that's ok. She just seemed very agitated with me and not very nice. Everyone else was totally amazing. Maybe she just had a bad day.

• Roxanne (10/5): Hidden gem! - I absolutely loved this place! It was rustic and charming. The check-in was so easy, as was check-out. Communication from the owners was terrific. The location was quiet and it was nice to sit on the porch and listen to the creek. The outside of the cabins might need a little TLC. The bonus was the history of this place! People used to come from all over in the late 1800's and early 1900's to drink water from the spring, which was said to have healing properties. The hotel that used to be there burned down, but the cabins remain. What was cool was that I read about Healing Springs (the old hotel) in a museum display years ago and it was such a a cool surprise to learn that these cabins are one in the same. I would definitely stay here again and I've already recommended it to friends. Oh! And you can go get yourself some water from the spring while you're there!

Love what the ‘new’ owners are doing to improve and honor the traditions of this very historic retreat. • Sana (4/5): - the area was pretty but the cabin itself was smaller than expected. the pictures showed a full house but our cabin was just a room. it was unexpected and i felt catfished. the bathroom wouldn’t lock or close and the toilet wouldn’t flush and had an issue. the cabin itself wasn’t cleaned and was a little dirty

• Wanderer67450850623 (10/5): The "Duck" cabin at Healing Springs Cabins - We stayed in the "Duck" cabin. It was clean and decorated cute. The layout was a little strange. The TV was on the dinette table so it was not usable to eat at. A microwave is sitting on the sink and coffee pot/toaster on top of that. Just glad there was one of each. There is a full size refrigerator & stove. Not all cabins have these so read the description when choosing your cabin. It had a musky smell inside and the use of candles wasn't allowed. I would recommend opening windows to air out on arrival date. There are porch chairs. That was nice. All the cabins are a very short distance to the road which was a little too close and could hear every car passing. The claw foot tub was nice though the water had a rusty smell. We couldn't get either fireplace to light but there was alternative baseboard heaters. The website states this is a farm and you could purchase meats in the lodge but we didn't see any of the belted Calloway cattle or chickens and there was no meat for sale as described. We farm so this was what brought us to stay and was looking forward to buying a steak for dinner to grill. There are many close restaurants though. The history and water well was a sweet touch so we would still recommend staying here especially for the price.

Very reasonably priced. I stayed in the Acorn cabin. It has a comfy bed, new loveseat, clawfoot tub. The owner is great!

Took home a few gallons and should have stocked more. My dog loved the property as well. Don’t forget to utilize their fire pits to roast marshmallows and gaze upon the Appalachian night stars and constellations.

• Gregg (10/5): - Very nice cabins well appointed furnishings and bedding. Quaint and rustic. I stayed in the cabins Friday but since no cabin was available Saturday they did have a tree house... Yes a treehouse... Available on Saturday. I really didn't feel like finding a different place so I took the tree house... But I didn't read the description. I just figured it was the same as the cabin but a treehouse. And I'm leaving 5 stars because they shouldn't pay the price for my hurry to book the room before knowing what I was booking. What didn't I like? For the most part it's this. The treehouse had no electricity whatsoever. There's a few other details but basically that's it. I really needed it to charge my phone my power Bank and my bt speaker. I was able to charge some of my stuff in the bathroom which was located at the back of the cabins. There's other things I can pick on but that would be gratuitous. If I go again I would pick the cabin. But I think you really need to see the treehouse because it did have a very cool and unique vibe. Very tree house -y. It might be exactly what you want!

• Bowers (5/5): It's not a cabin, it's a (snug) room. - Lovely setting. Enjoyed the porch seating. Grateful for the a/c and ceiling fan. Very quiet. It's not a cabin, it's a room. The photos do a good job of hiding that. There was no way to unpack since there was no closet or dresser. There wasn't anywhere to set my suitcase so I dressed and undressed from a suitcase on the floor for 3 days. There was no flat surface on which to write. The "kitchenette" was a microwave, coffee pot, and toaster. The only sink was the bathroom sink and I don't like cleaning food stuffs off a plate in a bathroom sink. The shower temp alternated throughout the shower from tepid to just right. There was very little space to set bathroom things, which is a problem when I carry meds and a blood sugar monitor and need to use both each day. The toilet rocked back and forth.

I was surprised as I had thought the cabin I had booked had 3 beds so I must have been the one mistaken but regardless we made it work and it was fine as it was a fast trip, not a long stay. Otherwise, it was easy, comfortable, quiet, like being at home but quieter. LOL. Wish I had more time to spend there (and the $ to do it LOL)

Couldn't plug in the coffee maker without moving it because the cord was.too short. Floor felt uneven. Door lock was hard to lock and unlock. No TV in the room. Only one lamp.
• junkogil (10/5): Rustic getaway mini vacation - Great place to relax in a rustic cabin setting. We had a full cabin, Duck cabin. It is pretty spacious and we enjoyed the surroundings with the sound of stream and campfire. There are several things you can do nearby within 30 minutes or so. There are no stores nearby except Dollar general so just have to make sure to bring your food and items. There is no TV but good WiFi.
