Guest Reviews
- Tammie (7/5): It was a good stay - Beautiful Location for what we were looking for. 1. You say no pets, at our cabin area alone were 5 dogs most not least, was very disappointing because I’m allergic to dogs.
- Merly R. (1/5): Estrés y frustración - Solo las buenas vistas a la orilla del lago. Que no fue lo que se esperaba como dice en la pagadera internet con diferentes fotos y vistas. El lugar está viejo feo, sucio y desagradable.
- Rachel (2/5): - The room are horrible don't stay here
- Aadin (2/5): - I would NOT even give this place 1 Star, if a lesser rating was an option. At checkin, we were given a small cabin, and when we went in, the bedspread had obvious stains, the paint or whatever wall covering was peeling around the air-conditioner, the furniture was extremely old and showing much wear, the light in the bathroom constantly flickered trying to barely light. The bathroom floor linoleum had curled up along the wall, and the floor was covered in moldy stain spots, the shower had been poorly repaired leaving it Fraken-scared. Moreso, the heat did NOT work! The desk attendant said he would call maintenance, we left to meet friends, and returned to find the cabin just as cold, without heat. We returned to the desk, again, requesting another room, and were told no other rooms were available, despite being the rental office for 4 motels! and Vacancy sign lit. We demand the clerk contact the ma ager, he said he texted the manager, but nothing could be done that night. The clerk was not willing to do anything, even without heat!
- Lentner (2/5): - Room was gross. The room smelled bad. Bathroom had mold where the caulk around the tub should of been.
- Redheart (5/5): -
- Lexie (4/5): Better than a tent - 1950s era “cottage” with updates in the 80s? Had any infestation and water damage. Shower was miniscule.
- Billy (1/5): Dirty room, bathroom and room was not up to code or par. Tons of spiders from the room not being sealed correctly from t - It was close to where our activities were. As soon as I showed up, the manager was arguing with a guest about the guest not being happy about the amount of dirt in the room and the room not being clean. The manager seemed rude and not very accommodating to the unhappy guest.
- Christopher (2/5): - Very dated and unclean room with mold on the bathroom walls.
- Ka (2/5): verry sad - no one cares about this place
- Amber (2/5): - Approx. a 10 x 10 room, hadn't been painted in many years. Dirty walls, with 2 beds squeezed into a tiny space. Walked in and walked out. For $185 per night, they are insane, while the billboard says $69 with vacancy. I've never seen such a flea bag motel in my life. They offered us an upgrade for another $50! No thanks! Couldn't leave fast enough!
- Len (2/5): - Nothing
- Wendy (1/5): Uncomfortable - The beds were clean. The view was wonderful. The rest of the room was a dump. We had one of the better rooms and paid more. We had to hunt down a staff member at another hotel for towels and crappy coffee. The wifi was terrible and the doors wouldn't lock.
- Pitsana (6/5): - One side of the bed was tippy and wably. Have to in provide AC plug. Ok, for low budget motel
- Dawn (10/5): - Enjoyed the low key. Loved my room with a slider overlooking the lake and fire pit. Will stay again
- Suzan (2/5): - Disgusting. Didn’t stay. Looked at two different rooms. Hotel wouldn’t refund. Disappointed that this hotel was even listed on Expedia. Expedia gave a $25.00 toward next booking, which is appreciated. Unfortunate experience.
- Beth (10/5): - We ejoyed sitting on the porch outside the sliding glass door. Watching the water, the nridge and the boats transporting passengers to Mackinac Island. Three steps from the porch was a firepit and three steps from thay was the sandy beach. Very relaxing.
- Michelle (10/5): - Older property renovations in progress. Gentleman at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. Put us in a nicer part of the hotel that was already renovated. Pool could use a little bit of TLC. Didn't try it ,was quite dirty but did see them clean it the next day but didn't get a chance to enjoy it. Great place to stay right on the water. Worth the 69 bucks night
- Heather (10/5): - Great place to go right off the beach very private
- Tammy (8/5): - Zach did a great job! Pools and hit tub not up to
Par!! Needs lots of updating and cleaning.
- Chris and Starr (1/5): - When we walked into the first room we were given. It looked like a Frat party was still going on. Walls looked like a crime scene. The beds looked like they were tossed over so much activity. It was scary water. There was a small pool in the bathroom because water was just overflowing. It smelled horribly. Like a Bates motel viewing and that was just the first room. They gave us another room, which was the same.
- Joshua (2/5): NASTY - Horrible. Sealing cracked and paint is literally falling as if there was at one point a leak. Lampshade barely holding onto the wire rim of the lamp. The WORST PART? tub WOULDNT DRAIN, which meant no showers or baths available. We had the room for 2 days, Waited 1.5 days for them to tell us the drain was fixed ONLY FOR IT TO IMMEDIATELY BACK UP. management said we would have to take up our issues with 3rd party booking agent. NEVER RETURNING TO THIS LOCATION.
- Bolen (2/5): Terrible. - Near where I wanted to be. Photos didn’t match the motel. Door didn’t lock. Extremely dirty. Pool was disgusting. I wanted a refund and couldn’t get it even though the photos didn’t match the room.
- Rachel (2/5): - No hot water, no wifi, no cable tv. The top blanket had stains on it that I removed it and I was scared to not wear shoes in the place. There were bugs smashed on the walls and I thought about leaving in the middle of the night it was so bad. The fromt desk people were nice but I would never stay again.
- Sinjini (1/5): Not a pleasant stay, do not recommend - The staff were great at the reception and during check in and check out. The hotel is right on the beach, so the beach was easily accessible. Our stay was not at all pleasant at Bells Melody hotel. The room and the bathroom was smelling bad with lots of bugs and insects. The linens did not look fresh as well. Even the floors were not clean.
- John (2/5): - I am all for a mom and pop motel. And I am aware that most places are closed for winter in this area but this place needs to be closed down , I'm actually not sure how they have passed or gotten away with staying op n. They own 4 motels in the area, when we arrived the signs said vacancy n $69 a night which we paid way more and even at $69 a night or is insane because this place is so ran down from chipping paint, old dirty nasty walls, had to sit sideways on the toilet because it's basically under the sink n the carpet does not look like it's been clean in years and was damp. There was one outlet in the whole tiny room with an extension cord, no amenities, and we were the only people even staying there. Now the pool are yes they advertised it.. well it's half indoor/outdoor and they do have a hot tub, that being said it's disgusting.. the staff were nice but other then that this place may have been a nice place 20 years ago but there has been 0 upkeep to the place.. do not waste your money at all to stay here it's that bad..
- Ktakh (8/5): Very good -
- Yorch (1/5): Bad -
- Barbara (2/5): - WE didn't like too much. Asked for a room in one of the properties they moved us to it. That room Had a bathtub that had a new tub insert but the corner had been broken off and you could see the old rusty tub. We stayed but will never go back and that's too bad because we have stayed there before. The first desk clerk that checked us in was nice but when we came back we had a different one and she became indignant. If anyone stays here check out your room first.
- Patricia (1/5): Awfuk - On beach dirty. ..cobwebs and dirty toilet. No working outside light. Worn furniture. Rusty refridge. Shower did not work.
- Sabrina (1/5): Read my full review and never stay here - Literally only the view Where do I even begin.... first you don't stay at the pictures posted here. Thats the neighboring motel, where you also check in at. When we first checked in pot on the bedding, clearly wasn't changed. Smelled musty but it was hard to smell due to the rubbing alcohol smell blinding you in the check in office. Tried to use the TV wouldn't work, checked the cords and it was broke but they twisted the copper wire together and left it live and uncovered (fire/shock hazard) . A note was left in the room from staff there was no heat and the cord was mentioned. We read it before the bedding was changed, then after they flipped it back over like we wouldn't notice. The bathroom is tiny, if you wanted to you could take a test on the sink while you went. I bashed my knee on the plumbing. You can see outside around the ac unit. I have pictures of everything. This motel doesn't have a pool but has access to a couple around you. The beach in the pictures is not at this motel again it's at the neighboring one. The bed is broke and doesn't sit right, if you sit wrong you'll go for a ride. The shower was filthy and moldy and rusty. While we didn't have alot of bugs the neighbors did. The beds are as hard as a rock and the pillows I swear are full of small cotton balls... never ever again will we be staying here and I would highly suggest you don't either if you want to be comfy or even feel safe.
- 331pattin (2/5): Didn't feel safe - Nasty . old very small ..needs updating. Didn't feel safe. Beachfront. 4 properties ball managed by same person. All not good. XxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxXxxXxxxxxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxx
- Doni (3/5): Eight hours here was more than enough. - The view of the water and bridge was lovely. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were furnished with very old furnishings, and the carpet was old. There was a musty smell in the room. The bathroom was so bad. There was a horrible smell in it. The tub/shower looked so gross we did not even use it. There was a huge rust stain on it and many black scratches on the bottom of the tub. The toilet was replaced, and the smaller tank revealed unfinished wall behind it. The sink was directly in front of the toilet and it was extremely tiny in there. The sink did not drain well and would fill up while brushing teeth (even with turning the water off). The bathroom was looked like it should be rated PG-13. Yikes!
Also, outside our door was a garbage bag of dirty linens that housekeeping did not take care of. The wind was whipping the plastic bag and we could hear it inside the room. We ended up placing a plastic lawn chair on top of it to stop the annoying sound.
- Tena (6/5): - Nice view of the bridge
- Vishvesh (10/5): Exceptional -
- .anthony (10/5): It was enjoyable I had access to the water easy entrance to come off the highway - Easy access to the beach and to my room bigger beach area
- Jeffrey (2/5): - Towels , mattresses was comfortable, no WiFi , shower floor all busted , cracked flooring peeling up away from wall , rotted wasn’t worth what I paid ! need a partial refund ! Call the front desk 15 times and could no get thru , called emergency number and she said sh call but never got an answer and complained at front desk at check out.
- Gerald (10/5): - Wife loved the retro vibes. The proximity to the lake. Great stay.
- David (4/5): - Attempts at room upgrades poorly done. Beds had older, well used mattresses. Ice ands soda machines outside the room not working. Booked 2 nights, stayed one.
- Chris (8/5): - Older roadside motel that has been kept in reasonable condition. The room was simple and clean. The staff were very nice. The place is just what I wanted and expected.
- Esther (6/5): - it was right at the water. nice beach.
staff was so nice and accomodating. put us in a different room that didnt smell like mold.
- Hazel (4/5): Won't book there ever again - The bathroom were not very clean the shower curtain was nasty bath tub rust and the faucet rustic .it only take some bleach rust cleaner to get that clean and a shower curtain at the family dollar store .keep your motel tidy .and some panit. We paid $230 for that room.not satisfied . Beds were comfortable
- Destiny (1/5): Would not refund! Daughter has asthma and was wheezing all night from the mold, would not refund even tho it is very uns - DO NOT STAY HERE! Spend the extra money and go
Elsewhere.
Should be closed permanently! Rodents seem going into building, visible mold and dirt inside and out. Very dirty! Nothing
- Bobby (8/5): Last minute find. Location was just as discribed. Great value for the area - Location and views of Mackinaw bridge great. Quiet and clean. Staff was great too Noting sticks out. Nitpicking would say the gravel parking lot is kind of tricky on a motorbike
- Priya (4/5): Disappointing - clean bed
clean curtains dirty carpets
dirty shower tub
Dirty water in shower and sink
- Marian (10/5): - The bathtub was really dirty in one of the rooms... the rest was as expected.
- Erin (2/5): - Was on a motorcycle to find a gravel drive way. Dead bugs on the wall, air condition to small for the cottage, tv didn’t work, shower was at a height for someone 5 foot at most. Shower surrounded falling a part
- Pamela (1/5): Bad - The fireworks on saturday night The room, by the bed Smelt like urine. The bathroom was nasty. Tub Wouldn't drain cob webs on the ceiling. Mildew around the tub, the caulking job Around the floor in the bathroom looked like a 3-year-old did it.
Lamp shade was hanging on the lamp that was tore. Even under the bed looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time Ceiling Had a large crack in it.
- Alison (7/5): Good - View was beautiful.
- Tina (8/5): - The pictures online were not accurate of the room conditions. It gave us a place to lay our heads for the night, but that was it. The bathroom has not been maintained so it was old, broken, and dirty. The picnic table outside was broken in pieces laying on the ground and the beach front was full of garbage and debris. It says u see new management and it looks like they are trying to get things repaired but as of now it’s not there.
- Jonathan (2/5): Worst Motel in Mackinac - Room pictured was not the room received. Rooms were very dirty, pool was very dirty, no cable, no A/C, mold everywhere. We did not stay there.
- Todd (10/5): - Was pleasantly surprised. Not sure what we were getting to at first. They provided a free upgrade and the room we were provided with was recently remodeled and so was very clean. It was on the 2nd floor with a balcony overlooking the Lake (Huron) and the beach where some people were enjoying themselves. Didn't get a change to check out the indoor/outdoor pool.
- Dan (4/5): - Pictures are not accurate. Would not stay here again.
- Lara (4/5): - First thing...there is one reception desk for 3 properties. 2 seperate people in front on me in line were assigned rooms at adjoining properties they didn't reserve with basically an "oh well response". The ac unit in room smelled moldy and never got cold. The tv did not work. The shower was dirty and previous guests used toiletries were left in the shower, including used bar soap. There is nothing within walking distance. Also the parking is tight and multiple vehicles missed having an accident by mere inches. Really run down. The tiny beach area was pleasant and good view of nightime fireworks. Would not stay here again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): BAD - Room was gross, small, and dirty. Not enough electrical sockets for the appliances in the room
- Blake (8/5): - For it being located right on the beach, it was great. The only down side was the bathroom had black mold all on and around the ceiling.
- Kathryn (9/5): Superb - The cost was reasonable.
The room was recently remodeled. Very nice and was clean. Love the wood.
The beds were comfortable.
We liked that the hotel was close to the water.
It was too cold to use the swimming pool. The room was recently remodeled; but apparently did not get a final inspection. We called about the tv not being plugged in to anything only to discover there was no box to plug it in to. A new tv was brought up and plugged in. Thank you.
We did not call but did make the staff aware the next morning:
No bath tub curtain.
The hand rail in the tub was present but not set. It fell out while I was taking a shower.
We turned the nozzle to the back wall so as to not get water on the floor.
We had to move the bed over towards the wall due to the length of the pull out couch bed. :)
The carpet on the balcony needs replaced. We chose not to go out there.
- Joshua (8/5): - Great location and great price beds were comfortable staff was really amazing polite and courteous and knowledgeable of the area and recommending things to see and do. My only complaint is hot tub didn't work and pool was very cold but the lake views and beach was well worth it. I will definitely return and highly recommend
- Sprague (10/5): Exceptional -
- Doxtater (5/5): Passable - I love Mackinaw City. Beautiful. I have stayed here before. Usually it has been a great place and we have come here several times over the years. Clean but old. They have a pool and hot tub. However they were both out of commission. The check in clerk didn't say anything to us about the pool not working. They should have contacted us before we came. We had reservations for several months. We got our rooms and decided to go to the hot tub. Pool and hot tub were empty. So we went to office and asked what is going on. She totally did not care! She told us we could walk down the road to another property and use their pool. It was 3 properties down. I was on crutches from an injury and could not go that far. No offer of a discount or apology. She just didn't care. We wound up staying there because we couldn't find another place. Photos of pool attached. I have never been so poorly treated at a hotel/motel before. I will NEVER GO BACK!
- Laurie (6/5): Ok for a 1 night stay - Hotel was run down and not the cleanest , Staff was great & friendly
- Abbey (1/5): HAVE RESPECT FOR YOURSELF AND DO NOT STAY HERE!! - Absolutely nothing. Rooms were terribly dirty. Ripped furniture, bugs all on the walls, mold in bathroom, ceiling was cracking and falling a part. When we turned on the shower the water was brown. Carpets never looked like they have been cleaned, like ever. There was no lobby so we had to check in next door. The address for the listing is very misleading, you think you are staying right by the island ferry’s but it is at least a 15 minute walk to get there. For how much we paid to stay here I am extremely disappointed. Honestly embarrassing. Now that I have read more reviews that are saying the same thing, it’s a shame that the owners don’t do anything to update/clean.
- Mallory (1/5): Stay away! - We liked the location. Everything could have been better. The room they had us in was absolutely disgusting. There was black mold on the bathroom wall tons of dead bugs all over and globs of dead bugs in cobwebs on the walls. The carpets were stained to high heaven and the rooms were so musty. The offered us another room that was just as gross! There was a huge hole in the wall, stuff all over the wall in the bathroom. They had a coffee table with a 2 shelf bookshelf on top of it with a tv on that. The lamp was on the floor and the shade was stained all over and dead bugs on that! The Blanket had stains on it where it was clearly visible! The room could definitely use a paint job. It was missing half the trim around the crappy air conditioning unit which had a car tree air freshener to make the room smell better! The building and doors exterior are in serious need of a paint job and the grounds need upkeep as there are long weeds all over and picnic tables falling apart. Their rooms are NOTHING as advertised! This place has seriously gone down hill.
- James (9/5): It was an excellent stay and I really liked the motel - The room was clean and had a new mattress.
Hot water for the shower.
Beautiful view of the Mighty Mac, they even had a fire pit on the beach.
I really liked this place.
- Cheryl (2/5): - Bathroom floor falling apart,no cover on light, standing shower only,no water view, there's light coming though the door, shades, broken.
- Abby (2/5): - Do not stay at this property or the properties owned by the same company. Our room had black mold and the bathroom floor is ready to fall in. Disgusting rooms and don’t anticipate a refund if you choose to leave early. We would have liked a refund for the issues but there is no sympathy from the owners or staff. Terrible property, I hope they are no longer advertised on Expedia.
- Mary (2/5): - NO smoke alarm. Door wall not lock did not work. Had to use a board to keep it from opening. The beds felt like under dollar mattresses. The bathroom had a broken shower wall with a hole in it that water in filth could go into. The caulk that was in the bathroom around the tub and the walls was practically nonexistent and what was there was rotted and molded away. The carpet has to be original from the 60s or 70s. They were told we were given an upgrade. I can’t imagine what the other room would’ve looked like if this was indeed an upgrade. It smelled musty I would be embarrassed. If this was my property. I would never recommend this property to anyone.
- David (2/5): - Did not stay there as it is going thru renovations and the pictures on your site were much better
- 733sierrab (2/5): DONT DO IT - DO NOT stay here. Don't even chance it! Upon checking in we were relieved to put out feet up after camping all week. We were excited for a hot shower, but apparently for $235 water isn't included! There was no shower curtain in the room, toilet paper was out, the shower head didn't work properly and leaked all over, the sinks water supply had been shut down and when turned back on, it leaked all over the cabinet below. The water was rusty from sitting for so long, and was ultimately not drinkable at the time. The headboard area had screws hanging outside of the walls. Don't hit your head! That's a good trip to the hospital and hope you are up to date on your tetanus shot! We requested a curtain and for someone to check out both the shower and sink. They said they had to call a maintenance man. The room should not have been booked out if it were not in working order to begin with. At 6 pm we were still waiting for it to be fixed. We called to ask if we could be place in a different room so we could finally relax. The manager was unable to help us and told us to "wait for repairs to be finished". The maintenance man was out getting spare parts to repair our broken room. This should have been fixed before renting the room out to someone, no? Well, the manager sure gave us a hard time and gave us the go around for everything. She ultimately refused a refund and treated us rudely, as if we were being unreasonable people. We decided to not stay in a place where we had no privacy, the manager was rude upon her own mistakes of renting out a broken room, and we were declined a refund or a discount to stay. Don't do it. Stay somewhere else. It's not worth the hassle. Believe the bad reviews. I should have.
- Michelle (4/5): - It was disgustingly gross!
- Bruce (6/5): Pleasant - Location is good. Like the fire pit on the lake. The room had cobwebs and some ants in the bathroom. The pool was dirty and the hot tub lost water between uses. 3-4 hrs
- Mint (6/5): - Older but quaint. Simple. I’m happy with the stay.
- Elisha (10/5): A wounderful experience - The owner and staff were wonderful, they helped with needs. My husband and I had a beautiful view from our cabin and we would book another reservation at Bell's Melody Motel.
- Elisha (10/5): A wounderful experience - The owner and staff were wonderful, they helped with needs. Had a beautiful view from our cabin and we would book another reservation at Bell's Melody Motel.
- Donna (6/5): 2 nights - Was ok for the 2 nighs. They had only been open 2 weeks so pool was not open , but we had access to one down the road so that was ok. People at the front desk were extremely helpful and frendly. We were moved to a larger room our 2nd night because we had issues with our tub draining when taking a shower. The rooms were ok but need a face lift for sure, a fresh coat of paint in spots maybe walls washed would make a large difference it wasn't necessarily nasty just needed sprucing up.
- Malinda (10/5): - Outdated but clean. Staff was very friendly. There was no heat and no water pressure to take a shower.
- Jessica (8/5): - Room was very hot and we couldn’t adjust the heat. Ended up turning the AC on while the heat was still going. No other complaints, good deal when we needed a last minute stay.
- Mac (1/5): This place shouldn't be on Booking..com. - They had a room available. Checked in, went to room, icy cold, turned on heat, heat didn't work. Went to office,, they tried to fix it and failed. Wouldn't give refund,, left, drove 3 hours home. Need a refund.
- Tracy (5/5): I was not there often so it was okay. - View of the bridge and island. quiet
heat and ac work great. deck was not clean, chairs haphazardly placed. screen not on door, cobwebs.
shower head lower than me and I am only 5'6"
2 queen beds 1 tolerable the other very "squeeky" and glad I no one had to sleep in it.
Internet never worked
- Heather (2/5): - The pics of this hotel were not even the ones of actual hotel. No human could stay in the actual hotel, mildew black mold etc . Too upgrade to property next door is an additional $30 and those are what the pics are of . It’s a scam and deceitful. No way too cancel or get money back. Be Leary and do not book this hotel. For what I actually spent I could have had a much nicer place with amenities. No coffee, nothing . Plus the smell was horrible . SCAM SCAM SCAM . Not sure how it is legal to sell a room under fake pics then charge to upgrade to that actual room. Will be reporting to BBB AND The local authorities
- Jessica (1/5): Crappy - No breakfast available...nothing Smelled bad, killed a huge spider with lots of webs in corner, the shower drained in room with beds, loud all night, no wi-fi. I will never recommend to anyone or stay here again!
- Heidi (1/5): This place should be permanently shut down and most definitely removed from Priceline. - The view of Mackinaw Bridge was gorgeous. This place had dead bugs killed by previous patrons all over walls. There was a spider infestation. Everything from the curtains, floors and walls were filthy. Terrible musty smell. Air conditioner did not work properly in 90 degree heat. When I moved curtain back I started sneezing because of heavy dusty mildew smelling stuff that flew up. The check in process took over 40 minutes. We tried to tough it out til morning as we were exhausted but left at 3 am to our next destination 4 hours away with zero sleep due to spiders coming down from ceiling I’m all corners of the room.
- David (2/5): Terrible motel and firetrap! - This absolutely the worse motel that my family and I have ever stayed in. Norman Bates hotel in Psycho is 5 star compared to this motel. Hotel.com shouldn’t condone the false advertising by providing pictures that don’t represent the actual condition of the rooms, grounds, and facilities! Hotel.com advertises indoor/outdoor pool, which there wasn’t one and it advertises that the “resort” has a beautiful beach which it has a beach of you can dodge the collection of empty Budweiser and trash! The bathroom, you don’t have to worry about Norman Bates killing you because the bathroom electrical system isn’t grounded and certainly doesn’t have a GFI protection and to use the TV, you will need to plug it and the receiver into an extension cord to make it function and there was no remote control provided but, no worries, because the only channel you will have is the Weather Channel!
The beds and mattress are worn out and no headboards are attached, however, the screws and holes are still there if you would like to provide your own headboard or find one by the roadside because it will match the rest of the decor! Pillows are provided but you will receive on “worn out one” and another and another that is half size that belongs on a couch!
We would have forfeited our $250 (+) room night if other hotels in the Mackinaw City had availability due to Labor Day Mackinac Bridge!
Extremely disappointing! And will reconsider using Hotel.com for booking future stays.
- Cash (5/5): Clean, friendly and worked great for a place to sleep for the night. - View Rooms definitely need to be updated. 1 outlet in entire room. Had to move things from 1 side of room to the other side to use (coffee maker, lamp, etc). No place to plug in chargers, etc. Toilet was so loose from floor it felt like sitting on a rocking horse. Room was clean. Staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. Way over priced for the condition of the place.
- Nancy (10/5): - I was very happy I spent week in this place thank you very much
- Anonymous (5/5): Not the best.. - The view was great! The location wasn’t the best, pools both aren’t clean at all so can’t be used, very low budget hotel should definitely be cheaper, the only good thing was the view that is all
- Robert (8/5): - The staff were very nice and helpful.
We had a beautiful view of the bridge and fireworks.
The hotel was very outdated, it had 2 beds, so it all was good. We just needed a place to crash for the night!
- Mozell (2/5): - Our room was disgusting. We paid over 120$ a night and we had no sheets on our bed. The bathroom was small and inadequate. Rusted out everywhere. Dirty dishes under our beds. Filthy walls. Spiders and bugs coming in through a hole behind the air conditioning. Sand on our beds from other travelers. Stained carpets. Save your money and go somewhere else if you can. It was a rip off and completely unsafe.
- Elaine (2/5): - I reported this property to the department of health.
Unsanitary motel conditions. No fitted sheets. Sewage water in the shower in room 20. Garbage under the bed in room 26. Multiple spiders and stained walls in room 19. Concerned about the unsanitary conditions and other people staying here.
The motel refused to give my elderly parents money back for the sewage water shower room.
- Holly (2/5): - Bed bugs!! Stains on bedding and mattress! Window screen full of bugs and mold. Head board was missing from wall. Toilet was nasty and looked like it was never cleaned. The furniture had white stains on it. The first room that was given was never cleaned after the last occupants. The dirty bedding was still left on the bed unmade and trash still in the room. The manager Tracy refused to refund my money and refused to listen to my concerns and hung up on me twice!! I slept in my car the first night and booked a different place to stay. Absolutely horrible! They should be shut down!
- Verified traveler (8/5): You Get What You Pay For - The person at the front desk was SUPER nice and went above and beyond for me to improve my stay. My room had a great view. It was good sized and cozy. It was great for a quick trip.
If you are looking for a modern, up to date, well maintained hotel, this isnt it. It was a cheap motel I have stayed at before, so I knew what I was getting into. The bed was uncomfortable. It was so worn, there was a definite slope on one side and I was mildly afraid of sliding off the bed in the middle of the night. The shower head was corroded and rusty, which was a little concering as well.
Overall good stay. I knew what I was getting into for the most part, but here is an honest review for those of you who may not.
- Sharon (10/5): Very caring place!! - Hotel is a little older, but very comfortable. In fact both my husband and I had our best nights sleep here. The next morning we did have a serious problem, which is when the young lady in the office, I believe her name is Kenisha( sorry if I have spelled that wrong. But this young lady, who had just met me, offered so much comfort and support I cannot say enough about her. We will come back to this location, just to enjoy the caring feeling of this place and it’s staff. If I could give them more than a ten, I certainly would. Thank you so much!!
- Joshua (2/5): - The property is very run down. Outside and inside was very dirty. The place is not maintained at all.
- Slawomir (2/5): - Stay away from this place!!! It is disgusting! One giant mold in the ugly dirty bathroom! The whole place stinks!!!
- Amanda (2/5): - DO NOT stay here.
We booked through Expedia and I got a call from the motel the day we were supposed to arrive saying they didn’t see the reservation and they were completely booked for two queen beds. They said they could put us in a room with one queen and a full adult sofa. We reluctantly agreed to that.
We arrived in the middle of the night and had to check in a couple hotels down to get our keys. When we got to our room, it was not in the motel, but rather a little shack next to the hotel. There was no bedding for the fold out and no one we could reach to get bedding. Additionally, they only gave us two towels for four people. We had to use some blankets from the queen bed so people could at least sleep on the fold out. We didn’t have four pillows either. The room was very dirty and we had to kill numerous spiders crawling on the wall. The bathroom had mold in the corners. Honestly, the only reason we didn’t leave then was because it was the middle of the night and we just needed to sleep.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. We got out of there as fast as we could in the morning.
- Helen (10/5): Happy Dog - They were very helpful accommodating our dog - initially we were in a room above some spiral stairs, and they moved us to a ground level room
- Angela (7/5): Good -
- Angela (6/5): - Property has a small beach, fire pit and seats to see the bridge all day and the ferries leaving port for the island. The room was decent sized with older beds and quiet.
- Joel (6/5): - Place is do for a redo beds were worst ive ever been on and place really needs a deep clean
- E2333TXleahs (2/5): Dont stay here - Deceiving photos. Disgusting accommodations- will not refund non working shower, electrical outlets do not all work, broken glass in window, beds not queen sized, smells, bugs , very dirty. The compressor on the window ac broken and very loud. See photos. Should be shut down!!!!!! Owners are obviously using this as an atm because updates have not been made jn 40 plus years. Stayed in room 30 spiral stairs too hard to carry suitcase up narrow stairs so had to throw luggage from roof to parking lot to get it down.
