- Varvara (5/5): Passable - It's not far from railway station but there's no metro here Shops and magazines are not far There is kettle in room and fridge. 7/11 so near just go down and do 10 steps on the left Owner's hears on the floor I accepted this hotel due to foto with big white bathroom because it seems nobody washed bathrooms in Thailand. So if it's fresh it's good. In fact we had old and dirty bathroom. Room is after repair, it's okay. But furniture is partly old and damaged. And ceiling in bathroom was with spider web, moldy glasses and cigarette holes in bed sheets. And what is funny and awful at the same time the hostess dries the washed laundry downstairs in the parking on a rusty metal profile 😆 I understand that after couple dries the metal already polished but it looks fantastic. Near entrance there are many aquariums with fish but some of them without fish but with water. It seems owners breed mosquitos which there are a big swarm here. Good audibility. Greeting to neighbor with dog 😉
- acl1402 (10/5): Rustic little gem ~ Clean and Simple with all amenities needed. Friendly owners. - I came with little expectations but this place really surprised me. Room size is good with spacious clean washroom. Soap, shampoo and conditioner were provided. Towels and bottled water provided too. Bedsheets designs were outdated but they are very clean and beds are comfortable too. Aircon is working good, and i would stay here again if i am visiting this vicinity. Only downside is the walls and door are thin and soundproof wasn't so good.

- ホタテマンですが何か？ (10/5): - 嫌な顔一つせず、綺麗な英語で丁寧に対応される 奥様に私はホテルマンとしての 鏡を見た気がしました。 たしかに設備も古ければ、 所々に不備や故障があるのは仕方がありません。 お値段もリーズナブルなお宿ですから 文句を言うのも御門違いってもんです。 でもここにはそれを補って 余りあるほどの満足があると思います。 それはビジネスライクではない 人に寛いでもらおう、喜んで貰おうという 心からのもてなしです。 本来なら日本人こそ得意としていることなのでしょうが、 昨今は人もこき使われるだけ使われているせいか 親近感の湧かない、造られたもてなしのカタチを見受ける機会が 残念ながら日本国内では実に多くなりました。 しかし、このお二人は ごく自然に困った私のために ご自身が出来る限りのことをして下さったのです。 日頃の自分に胸を当てて振り返りたくなるほど、 異国で教えられる出来事でした。 あまり街中にアクセスがいいとは言い切れませんが タイの人々の日常も垣間見れる素敵なお宿です。 ご興味の湧いた方は是非ご利用ください。

- Verified traveler (2/5): Extremely poor hotel - Quite honestly, there is nothing positive to say about this place. The most concerning was a hole in the ceiling of the bathroom that had been stuffed with toilet paper and was dripping water...right next to the light! They appear to be building a new hotel but have let this one go to an awful state in the mean time. There is no service, food, anything like that, bed was uncomfortable and I was out of there pretty fast.

- johnt245 (10/5): Good service good location but hard to find - This is a very good budget hotel. The owner is very nice. He can help you manage everthing during your stay. Room is big and clean. Bathroom is clean, too. There is free wifi throughout the hotel. The wifi in my bedroom is not very strong, but still good enough to use Skype and watch some Videos via youtube. The road to the hotel is kinda narrow. You might want to contact the owner first before you go there so that he can give you the direction to get to the hotel easily. However, if you are dropped in front of 7-11, it is very easy because you can walk to the hotel from there in just 1 minute. The area is safe. I'd definiely come back again. Report this review

The only minor disappointment was that there was no kitchenette (as listed on the hotels.com page), and that the clothes dryer (as pictured) wasn't working. Plenty of food options around; convenient to eat healthy even without cooking. Drying rack and balcony helpful to have. Convenient to/from Don Muang airport - around 100 baht by taxi in good traffic / under 20 baht by bus (need to switch buses, 30 mins in good traffic). Strongly recommend being prepared with map/directions in Thai, otherwise tell driver "Ngam Wong Wan Pantip Plaza," head (west) towards 7-11, and call or ask for help. It's a short easy walk from 7-11, much trickier by car. Also fairly convenient to get to MRT (subway) station to go downtown.

- MASAYUKI (10/5): 利便性に惹かれた２回目の利用も満足。清潔感のある広々とした部屋でゆったりと寛げる - このホテルは利便性が最高であり、今回は２回目の利用である。昨年の８月同様に２週間以上の滞在であったが清潔感のある広々とした部屋でゆったりと寛ぐことができた。オーナーの年配女性はいつも穏やかな笑顔で挨拶をしてくれ、英語も話せるので安心だ。エアコンの水漏れトラブルではその日のうちに専門業者が来て修理してくれたし、コイン洗濯機に水が流れないので困っていたら様子を見に来てくれて対応してくれた。現在増築工事中であり日中は多少騒々しかったが、数ヵ月後に再訪問してどんな感じになっているか見てみたい。

- BoudewijnH (10/5): A little gem to discover - Apart from being very difficult to find for taxi drivers (have the address & phone number printed out in Thai and show this to the taxi driver), this hotel is remarkably well located. Just after the Ngam Wong Wan exit of the expressway. If in doubt, have the taxi stop at the 7/11 nearby and walk from there. It's less than 50 meters on foot and perfectly safe to walk. The hotel is situated on a parallel road to Ngam Wong Wan and actually less than 20 meters from it. But, since it's all one-way streets, it's a bit of a nightmare for taxi drivers to actually stop in front of the hotel. The hotel is very well located, at the beginning of Ngam Wong Wan road. From there you can walk easily to the Mall and Phantip shopping centers. A hospital (I hope you won't need it) is also within walking distance. Bangkok city center is easily reached by taxi. The fare will be (inclusive the expressway toll -and please, do take the expressway unless you are looking forward to some sight seeing) somewhere between 200 and 350 baht. Chatuchak is not too far away neither. Be ready to meet very few foreigners in that area. It's anyway all the more fun that way. The owner and her son are very friendly and helpful people. Mrs speaks fairly well English. The rooms are complete: fridge, cooking utensils, hot water boiler and TV. Free WIFI is also available. The old airport, Don Muang, is easily reached from here. Suvanabhum is a bit more of a ride, but (taking the expressway), you should be there in about half an hour. Rooms need to be prepaid, but the room rates are very favorable. In short, an ideal place to stay for discovering Nonthaburi and Bangkok. We stayed there on two occasions, in different rooms, and both were impeccably clean. Love this place. The only minus of the building is that when you're in bed, you can actually feel the heavy traffic passing on Ngam Wong Wan. All in all I can warmly recommend this place.
