Guest Reviews
- Laura (4/5): - If your looking for a spring break sketchy old florida, hotel this is it. Booking tricks you because one side of the hotel is nice, but then the building to the left makes you question your own survival. Tinted windows half peeled away w carpeted outdoor walk ways. I took my kids and we went to the pool in the nice side it was a full on smoke party fest..so no pool for us. The pool in my building is right adjacent to the parking lot, so another no thanks.
Not recommended unless you just need a cheap hotel and you choose the building that has the check in and not the other building
- Radwanski (10/5): - The staff were so friendly.
The rooms were kept very clean.
You could always find someone to help you with anything you need.
The pool was kept very clean. There were no stores close enough to buy groceries. The Winn-Dixie had just closed two weeks prior to our visit.
The good news is they plan on putting an Aldi's there soon.

- Yinkor (5/5): fine - The nearest beach The room smells so bad, smell like mold inside
- joseph (8/5): -
- althia (7/5): - The staff where excellent, the place is clean, great area. The building, the environment need fixing, renovations. You showed us this beautiful building with romantic lights all over, but it's not all that beautiful when I came there, so I was a bit disappointed. And we spend so much money for the room.

- Gingerich (10/5): - The location was nice and private. The outside might not look the newest but, but still kept up. The room we stayed in was room 306 and it had a kitchen and everything, was very clean and professional. The only draw back was you have to request for a room clean and then they will only clean it if it works with there schedule. Definitely would recommend, you get what you pay for. Can't complain.
- Eli (5/5): -
- Ibsen Alejandro (5/5): Simple, no frills, maybe Ok for one or 2 nights - The hotel served a purpose. The room is big, the bed a pillows are comfortable and the bathroom is decent.
The area is good, walking distance from the beach, there's a CVS, Wallgreens and restaurants walking distance as well. The property is simple. No breakfast, amenities are simple, it looks dated and it's very exposed as anyone can access the rooms from the street.

- Chris (1/5): DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL - The only thing nice about this property was the front desk staff Where should I begin? There are roaches in room 215. When we spoke to the front desk manager, she did not believe us. (We have pictures) there is mold everywhere. We were moved to three different rooms due to the overwhelming mold in each room. So much so that the manager took pictures of it. Mold on the curtains, lampshades, all over bathroom because there is NO vent in the bathroom. Sitting at the pool, we were approached three times by homeless people. About 2 in the morning, a homeless man knocked on my daughter’s door. Again And again. Another night, a homeless man went from door to door knocking. We called security and basically we were told we were wrong and they didn’t believe us. The hotel is not secure AT ALL. Anyone can walk right on property and have access. My daughter and I were at the pool. A man on the third floor balcony continually stared at her. I told him to stop. He said “ I’ve lived here three months I can do what I want” it was so uncomfortable we left pool and he blew her a kiss. Unsettling, disgusting, disturbing. My daughter in law was getting out of the tub and a maid knocked and just walked right in on her! Never gave her a chance to even answer that she was not dressed! I cannot emphasize this enough: DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL

- Brodie (10/5): Great bang for buck stay. Convienent and short was or drives to popular places. - This was our second stay at the Ocean beach Palace. We stayed previously in the two bedroom, as we had our son, and this time we got a king room as it was just us. We stayed here as my partner was having surgery so we didn't need anything crazy, but if you are looking for a good cheap stay then this is it for you ! It's clean, has food near by, we ushered to shopping centres etc. Has a pool, which was heated last time, this time it was not and was freezing but we didn't use it this time either. But over all great location, Videos coming to our Youtube channel Aussie Couple Hawaii. We don't really have any complaints. The workers can be hit and miss, but you don't have to see them much, but one will be nice the next not so much.
The pool last stay was hot ! like it was great but almost to warm. And this time it was freezing but we didn't use it so didn't effect us this trip.

- Tambra (10/5): - Housekeeping just walked on without knocking
- Karan (10/5): -
- Karmen (5/5): Fair for the price - Good location , bathroom was clean and nicely made. Our bed had black hairs all over the sheet , not sure if it was clean … The AC was too noisy
- Ariana (7/5): - The staff was very friendly. The only thing I would recommend is that they cleaned the actual floors to the rooms every night before going to bed had to wash my feet See above
- Milton (8/5): -
- Jodi (9/5): -
- Nisha (10/5): -
- Arzu (6/5): -
- Elizabeth (8/5): - The location was awesome! The courtyard is nice but there were people smoking which our kids didn’t like.
- Cynthia (6/5): - room was clean and comfortable, pool was nice too pictures of Hotel are very deceiving, they must have been from 20 years ago, Hotel is very old and the pictures of the rooms look nothing like the actual room we had. It is not really Oceanfront, you cannot see the beach or water in anyway and there is no easy access to walk to the beach from the Hotel, we had to drive to the beach and pay parking. We were also charged parking for the Hotel when we arrived, no where on the booking did it say anything about a fee for parking.
- AMANDA (10/5): - Great Great
- Marcellis (1/5): -
- Carl (6/5): -
- Peterson (1/5): There were no hot water in the shower and th room smells like mold build up inside and the the curtains wouldn’t close a - No Nothing
- Marvin (1/5): - Room was not ready at 3pm. Elevator was broken. Nothing
- Angela (7/5): Pictures are deceiving - Beds were comfy, rooms were clean. Staff, no Shuttle even though I called and was told they did. Outside wasn't the cleanest, never have I ever stayed anywhere that didn't have commentary coffee. Did have a coffee machine for a dollar if you like bean water. Shows pictures of the ocean but not sure how to get to it when asked they said go down 2 lights and look for public access still didn't find it .
- Kellie (8/5): -
- Dorothy (5/5): Would not stay again! Yuk! - The staff went out of their way to help with a lost phone. Dirty, small amounts of improvement would make this look like someone made an effort. Especially the smell, the sticky floors and the couch was stained and not worthy to sit on! Yuk!!!
We got in too late to even ask for a new room! Updated furniture for sure! You could see outside the walls by the air conditioner!
- Émilie (8/5): -
- ANABEL (6/5): Alright, not necessarily worth it. - The location is great walking distance to the public Fort Lauderdale beach. The pool looked good although we didn’t try it, bed was comfortable, air conditioning was good. A little run down. Definitely needs a spruce up in the old carpet, the shower pressure was good but the bathroom overall needs its upgrade. It just feels worn down. Overall not worth a 1 night $364 stay. We got the honeymoon suite with the jacuzzi bedside, but the aspect of the hotel in general didn’t make me comfortable enough to try it out. Nice presentation though.
- Lovell (6/5): Need renovations on the outer parts . - It was close to the beach Nothing
- Kester (5/5): -
- Robert (4/5): Old and Dirty - The location The room wasnt ready even after check in. The front desk did not seem to care about us being there or not. we did not feel like a priority. When the room was cleaned after we checked in, the standard of cleanliness was minimal. (we waited outside for 40 min after we checked in) The hotel might have been nice in the 80's but that is it. Its in rough shape all around. The door which goes outside directly was in rough shape was not secure.
- Alexis (8/5): -
- Alexis (10/5): - Everything is good here!!
- Patricia (6/5): The hotel was adequate for our short stay. The room was clean and updated but the outside area. - NO breakfast provided No breakfast provided
- Lance (8/5): - Location Facility is showing its age, which affects the value of the stay $

- Trek41901927224 (2/5): Book somewhere else. - Moldy musty smelling rooms. There was a very loud argument at 4 am one of the nights we stayed. Easy access for any transient homeless person to wander into the property. Felt unsafe. It was a bad experience.
- christO3416DK (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - Do not stay at this hotel. Booked four rooms for my husband and our kids. We were moved four times because of MOLD. Musty disgusting smelling rooms. 106, 216, 316. That’s how many rooms we were moved into and out because of musty smelling rooms and mold. My son’s room had roaches! We complained to hotel they didn’t believe us. Homeless people walk freely on property. One night was so bad, a homeless man went knocking on each door during middle of night. This happened three times during our stay. My kids were at the pool and were approached several times. My young teenage daughter and I were at the pool and a man was staring from the balcony of the third floor. I asked him to please stop staring. He continued by saying “ I’ve lived here for three months, I can do what I want” then blew her a kiss. These are the kinds of disgusting people at this hotel. Do not stay here.

- Michael Caughlan (7/5): -
- Jaime (7/5): -
- Özcan (6/5): - Ok Ok
- Chaz Steadman (8/5): - Location and price. Pay $12 for parking. 😢
- Charlene (3/5): Not a restful sleep after a long day of travel delays. - As we arrived four hours later than planned, staff was very pleasant. We got to our room at 4 am. We were just falling asleep when the phone rang. When we answered it no one was there. That happened three more times in the next 10 mins. When we called the front desk we were told to unplug the phone which caused some anxiety as we had requested a wake up call. Plus the air conditioner was so noisy that we hardly got any sleep.
- MOHAMMED (10/5): Nice hotel and nice employees and quiet hotel and modern and look room nice and comfortable - Quiet and bed comfortable and large room. With new design look modern Parking not free you have to pay and no breakfast
- PHOUTHONG (5/5): -
- Christian (9/5): 9/10 Would recommend - Great experience overall, can't complain, aside from the $12 parking fee, which I couldn't wrap my head around, given the fact that it was mostly vacant, but I guess it comes with the territory..like I said, overall an immaculate experience. The $12 parking fee, I just can't wrap my head around why I'm obligated to pay a parking fee for a hotel I've already paid a considerable amount for, but such is life...

- Muriel (4/5): Don’t stay here. - The property looked like an episode right out of SVU. The room was sub par. It gave motel feel and not palace.
- Haley (7/5): -
- Paula (8/5): For the Price it’s amazing good - The property was clean, comfortable and its location is amazing We stayed 2 nights and 3 days
I thought they were coming to make the bed and change the towels as hotels usually do but they didn't.
- Fay (1/5): A hotel that requires you to book the trash being taken out and new sheets - The location was reasonable I ended up not staying at this hotel. The room I was shown did not have a secure exterior door. It also did not appear sanitary as I was told at reception that in order for trash to be taken out or new sheets provided, these services would need to be requested the evening before as they did not have ongoing housekeeping. I asked to see alternative rooms many of which smelt of smoke. When I did find a room that appeared acceptable I was initially told by a receptionist who tried to help that I could move there. However when I went to get my bags the manager but then told me that the room was already taken even though it was empty when I saw it, and it was 10pm a night. This is not a hotel that I could ever recommend so think carefully before booking it
- G2271ZCerich (2/5): Don’t stay here if you care for your belongings. - Sadly we had our belongings stolen from our room and manager did everything to avoid us and refused to help. Hotel was nice but the lack of care about our belongings was shocking. Would avoid at all cost! The room keeper came in our room on a day it wasn’t scheduled which is when we had our stuff stolen.
