Guest Reviews
- Loretta (7/5): -
- Chris (6/5): Wouldn’t stay again - Room small
- BJ1960 (8/5): A well located, well serviced hotel in the heart of Bendigo. Staff a big asset! - A streamlined check in process enabled me to access my room without having to visit reception. However, when I did visit reception I was greeted warmly and found the staff member to be extremely helpful with my requests. The room, whilst on the smaller side, was clean and comfortable. A well stocked mini-bar was also provided. In-room breakfast was excellent and the location of the hotel was ideal for my visit to Bendigo. Aside from the room being on the small side, the only concern I had was with the comfort of the in-room furniture. The chairs provided were not very comfortable, so for a night in, it was the bed or an "uncomfy" chair. Possibly a tad on the expensive side overall, but given its location and convenience worth the few extra $
- Rebecca (8/5): - Comfortable Toilet dipping, that was noisy and disturbing. A broken glass light cover over bathroom sink looked like it could fall and be dangerous
- Hannah (8/5): -
- Alison (10/5): -
- Selena (9/5): -
- Dalivigas (10/5): - Perfect location. Room nice & clean. Bed very comfortable. Received well informed instructions. I would give it 8 stars, and would definitely come back. There was no power switch next to the bed. Therefore, lamps there purely for decoration. It would be lovely if the TV was at least 32 inches.
- Moira (9/5): -
- Robyn (7/5): - It has seating and a nice table and chair dinette. No microwave in the room. I had bought my dinner with me to reheat, but couldnt.
Bedding seemed a bit light on, had to add the extra blanket from the cupboard
Parking bays a bit tight.
- edward (6/5): -
- Janine (9/5): Comfortable and close to hospital - The room was very clean and the facilities provided adequate for a one night stay. Good supply of towels and toiletries. The bed was comfortable. The shower was good. On the night that I was there, it was very quiet. Great location and within walking distance of the hospital. I also liked the keyless entry. There was nothing that I did not like.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Night out at the Capital Theatre - Great location near the Capital Theatre. Very comfortable room and very quiet. Easy access without contact with staff.
- Noel (8/5): -
- Robert (9/5): Comfy, central Bendigo stay. Loved the breakfast delivered to our room. - Great location, comfortable. A bit dated, but had everything we needed.
- Stewart (5/5): Did the job but not great - Location for our trip Leaking shower, funny smell in room, dated furnishings, value for money
- Kezza Mel (9/5): -
- The Derek (10/5): Highly recommended, Barclay on View will be my first choice when staying in Bendigo again! - The staff was great, check-in and check-out was super easy and the location was perfect.
- Ian (8/5): - Liked carpet on balcony . Bright clean room. Not noisey , close walking distance to town.
- Jennifer (8/5): Good - Location Nothing
- Jessica (9/5): Lovely central stay for a weekend. - Quiet, close to town and very clean.
- Donovan (7/5): Great location for Easter weekend in Bendigo - Great location and great technology for self check in Car park was noisy with non hotel street traffic at night time.
- Stefanie (8/5): -
- Graeme (8/5): Great breakfast - Location
- Drew (9/5): - Super easy check-in and great location. Comfortable beds and very clean. Hard to fault at the price. The fan in our bathroom was SUPER noisy, nothing major, just annoying.
- Mark (8/5): -
- Lucy (7/5): Good value and price for a one night stay. - Have stayed before, very close to city. Stayed in Room 26. Fan in bathroom needs replacing and also seal on the shower.
- Allan (8/5): As above. - Great location in central Bendigo. Very comfortable and clean room, great breakfast, Close to restaurants, helpful staff, good amenities. To close to main street so a bit noisy. Parking not secure. Someone walked into the car park and went through the saddle bags on one of our motorcycles on one of the nights we were there.
- Krys (8/5): Good except for the dirty crockery. - The location was perfect for walking into town. The crockery had lipstick marks on it. It had not been washed. There was no dishwashing liquid with which to wash the cups. In this day and age of infectious diseases I believe all crockery and cutlery provided should be put through a dishwasher! Not left to guests to clean it without the appropriate facilities to do so.
- Rule (7/5): Lovely location - Close to main centre Wifi patchy
- Jim (9/5): -
- Helen and Brian (10/5): - Easy self check in. Close to city centre, still quiet. Comfortable.
- darren (10/5): -
- KimD (9/5): Convenient and close to town. Neat and clean. Hot breakfast was yum! - Convenient no contact check in and out was good.
Room was neat and clean.
Breakfast was yum and loved having it in our room.
- John (8/5): - Quiet, close to sports ground AC was on heat mode đź’€

- Xia (9/5): -
- Isabella (8/5): -
- Nele (7/5): - Location Bed was very uncomfortable
- Con (9/5): Good in most respects. - Ideal location. Excellent room. Check-in person lacked any engagement with me. Lacking in the basics of hospitality. Gave up trying to order breakfast and went to a nearby cafe instead.
- Mathew (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Robert (6/5): -
- Margaret (7/5): Enjoyable and comfortable - The room was comfortable with everything we needed - it was clean and the location very central It's what I expected for the price

- Anthony (10/5): -
- Tom (9/5): -
- Sarah (9/5): Great hotel in a central location - Great location in central Bendigo. The no contact check-in is super easy and the room is clean and comfortable. Nothing
- Dee (8/5): location location location - Location to city in walking distance to good coffee, meals, browsing the shops and enjoying the cities gardens. The room is well equipped for a short stay and no need to move your car.
- sheila (9/5): Very happy with location cleanliness. Great access to property. happy to not need to drive to locations. - excellent location - very quiet just noisy fan in toilet was annoying
- Heather (9/5): -
- Hayley (6/5): Convenient location, nice breakfast - Very convenient motel. Basic rooms were simple but quite fresh. Room service breakfast was great. This is a basic motel which was overpriced for what it is.
- Wilson (7/5): -
- Lisa (7/5): -
- Gayle (7/5): -
- Klaus (9/5): -
- Gary (8/5): -
- Morris (9/5): - Central location Parking is tight for some vehicles to get in and out. Larger vehicles stick out to far.
- Thomas (9/5): -
- Chris (6/5): -
- Chris (6/5): -
- Anna (10/5): Would stay here again on ground floor for future festivities. - Close to all the action for the Easter Festival. Close to food amenities. Wi fi quite delayed.
- Buckley (10/5): -
- Chengming (10/5): -
- Amanda (8/5): -
- Katrina (8/5): - The location The car parks were too small. Could not get into our car when leaving. Smallest car parks we had ever seen!
- Jody (8/5): -
- Lauren (10/5): -
- Cam (5/5): - I was surprised there were no tea and coffee making facilities. Even just a couple of glasses for water would be nice.
The bed also had a lump on one side...assuming that is a spring!?
- Ricardo (8/5): Very comfortable and good location. Room was a good size. Breakfast was good also. -
- Debbie (9/5): - Pillows were very uncomfortable/hard.
- Calogero (8/5): -
- Jodee Shead (10/5): Easy Keyless entry and comfortable beds. - Comfortable beds and free parking
Reception listened to our requests and gave us the ground floor and an early check in . Found the keyless entry very easy.
- Georgina (7/5): - The location was great. Still close to town but quiet.
Complimentary car space was great.
Staff very friendly and kind. The room is too small for 4 people. It did feel cramped. I think 3 people is the max.
There was quite a lot of dust along window, on bed heads, and TV Cabinet. I cleaned it myself as I had wipes. But other areas of the room were clean.
The rooms do need alittle upgrade, especially bathrooms.
- Minh (8/5): after a bit of a problem staff has reallocated suitable room for the customers - Staff has accommodated for the need of customers nicely the room should be allocated to the need of customer responding to the request from the beginning
- Marianne (10/5): -
- Dan (8/5): -
- Lindsay (7/5): -
- anne (5/5): Average - Good location No staff at reception
Stayed for 3nights
Daily Room service and clean of room very average.. bed linen just pulled up not really made.
Small room for queen bed and single bed
No microwave
- Luke (10/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): Good value for money, great location and excellent if travelling due to the seamless checkin - Room was exceptionally clean and well presented. Having the ability to access the room without a key made the experience really easy The bed was a bit hard and the room smelled a bit musty
- Stewart (9/5): -
- Adrienne (8/5): Wonderful. - Very comfortable, terrific water pressure, amazing position as we had to catch bus to wedding at oval opposite and despite having room near road it was very quiet. Staff were very helpful and lovely as well. Only one minor trival thing… bed was very small.. think double?
- Joanne (10/5): -
- Annie (5/5): Not the hotel in the pictures. - It was clean and location was good. This property was NOT the one pictured when we booked. The pictures show a modern sleek self Contained apartment with modern bathroom. This property is a 1980s motel complete with apricot coloured tiles a wallunit and a tiny tv that didn’t connect to the internet.
- Dee (8/5): Need to pack my bathers to use the sauna next time - Location - walking distance to coffee and gardens NA
- Ellen (10/5): - It was clean, convenient and had everything that was required for my stay.
- Bianca (5/5): - Very small area compared to the pics. Could only pick up limited channels on TV like sbs and abc. Very old fridge was hardly cool . Bathroom door didn’t lock , bathroom light hardly worked or the fan. Was also very noisy
- Jacob (8/5): Good location, value for money, no frills accommodation - Good location, easy to get to and park. Good value for money
- Kaly (7/5): - Location Leaking toilet/shower
Gap between blind & window - people could see in
- Barbara (10/5): - Convenient location
Great room
- ShutupGreg (8/5): Good hotel in great location. - Barclay on View is a great location, we could walk to concert, park and main CBD area in minutes. Room was fine, smaller than expected but it did have a single bed taking up space, that we didn't need. Breakfast included was great, easy to order via website and arrived on time both mornings. Parking was designed for old school sedans not modern day utes and SUV's so a bit tight, couldn't get into our park on second night as there was a ute either side and ours wouldn't fit. Sauna and gym a bonus. Will stay again.
- Sonya (8/5): Spacious rooms, clean, good location - look out for noisy bunk beds! - Room was spacious, bathroom was good with everything needed. Served the purpose of one night stay. One room had a bunk bed and this creaked every time someone moved so the kids did not sleep! Please fix these seriously noisy beds!
- Phillip (7/5): - The mini-bar was surprisingly well stocked for a smaller motel. The room had been well-prepared and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Soft chairs to relax in were a welcome bonus as often you only get hard kitchen chairs at this price level. The room was small, but adequate. The shower was just a rose type fixed to the wall with no hand-held component.
- Paul (7/5): - The single bed in the room had a broken leg so it wobbled. I was in Room 13
- Dallas (10/5): -
- BarbaraC3690 (10/5): Wonderful night away - Went to see a show which was in walking distance.
Room and service was great
Breakfast bought to the room was delicious.
We will definately be telling friends who go to Bendigo.
We will be back again.
- Paul (9/5): -
- Emma (10/5): Great location - Have stayed here twice and will stay again. Great location close to theatres and cafes. Clean, tidy and spacious room with parking right at the door. Breakfast included in the price and delivered right on time, and included gluten free options. Easy check in and check out.
