Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location is convenient. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room is clean. Except for some ants crawling around which the staff had tried very hard to rid. I’m happy to be here. No complaints. :)
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was fairly small but quite suitable for my needs. The bed was nice and comfortable and the shower was excellent. There was a strange arrangement with the bathroom having a clear glass wall right next to the bed.
I was on the floor directly below the rooftop bar and noise from there came through quite cleatly especially on Saturday night.
Lifts worked well and were relatively quick.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
- Riri (10/5): - Clean room, next to breakfast stalls, and convenient location.
- Dayood (10/5): - Excellent pkace
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Not bad location and reasonably priced but fairly basic hotel with small rooms.
- Supiah (10/5): Clean & comfortable - It was great & the staff are friendly & helpful.
- Kirill (8/5): - Rooms are really narrow, hotel is located near china town, where sometimes some celebrations are held and gets a it loud. About 10 min walk from subway.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Closed to Chinatown just a short walk of five minutes to food courts and Buddha tooth relic temple
No hand towers ,body lotion and comb provided in the room
- May (10/5): Awesome hotel conveniently located near Chinatown - The hotel is conveniently located near Chinatown. The staff are friendly and helpful . Rooms are clean and comfortable. Only downside is the room is slightly dim at night but during the day its okay if we open the curtains and let the sun in.
- Anne (8/5): - Excellent location, although address given is not the actual address, which made finding the hotel difficult. However, we enjoyed our stay and found the room very clean and comfortable. The gym equipment was also new which was good, but no windows in the room as advertised. Overall, we were happy though, and would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - No hand towels and washing clothes. Went to front desk and they said the house keeping wont open till 8am.
- Stephen (8/5): Room a bit cramped but good value for money - For Singapore a relatively good priced hotel in the outskirts of Chinatown.
Only a few minutes walk to the shops, bars, restaurants and Metro.
A bit difficult to find the first time if you walk through the food court from the Metro but then it's easy.
Not the biggest room in the world and not a great view but good value for money.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Strategic location and roof top garden. Behind Chinatown and close to River Valley area and Fort Canning. Second time here and reasonable price.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Close hotel to clark quay
- Grani (8/5): That's the one. - Good location. Closed to China town,15 minutes walk. Shopping area near by.
- Ralph (10/5): SEACARE HOTEL, in one word, EXCELLENT - We had discovered a real gem in the Seacare Hotel. We were most impressed. Reception staff so friendly, welcoming and helpful (couldn't do enough for you) Room was modern, tastefully decorated and equipped with excellent facilities. Good location, 10-15 min walk from China Town. Amazing value for money. Attached café served excellent budget priced Asian and Western dinners and an Asian breakfast selection.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staffs at the hotel are nice, very friendly and helpful.
- Julie (10/5): Good hotel in great location - Lovely hotel in a good location near Chinatown, clean and spacious rooms, tea and coffee making facilities and bottled water every day. Would recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic !!! - Everything is fantastic except limited carpark lots
- King-wah Eric (8/5): OK stay at Seacare - OK.
- c (10/5): - good value hotel , didnt stay long to give a full review but noting bad to say
- Verified traveler (10/5): Singapore stopover on way to NZ - Welcoming staff, great location, comfortable room, hassle-free stay
- Noni (8/5): - Good location accessible by airport shuttle bus. In walking distance to several hawker centres and Chinatown MRT about 10 minutes walk. Very quiet location
- Verified traveler (2/5): Better pay the same rate at somewhere else - Not worth the money u pay.
- Lilibeth (8/5): - The hotel is close to tourist attractions. There's a lot of restaurants around the area if you don't mind a 15 to 20 mins walk.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Service was excellent always willing too help
- Ann (10/5): Will stay here again - Absolutely amazing stay at this hotel. Staff and comfort wonderful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Close to Chinatown and public transport. - Close to Chinatown and public transport.
do not need too.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good break from work - Check-in process was fast and the night crew was helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable and clean.
- Ivy (6/5): - location 8-10 minute walk from the MRT.
my room was spacious for two (twin bed room)
friendly staff
okay price
- Catalin (8/5): Very pleasant stay. - Very good stay overall, staffs were very professional and kind, room very clean and modern. There was a bit of noise from air-conditioning or from outside (not sure where exactly).
- Ilo (10/5): Me - The accomadation was good and i will recomend to all my friends. Also i want you to refund my deposite of 100 dollars wich was pro ised by the counter lady on the 26th and was going to be retourned,i see it steel pending od my account.....
- kenichi (4/5): A hotel with bare minimum - Location of hotel lies within 10mins walking distance from the nearest mrt station. The taxi driver missed the turn to bring me to the hotel, probably due to its not-so-famous name.
Room centralised aircond does not function normal; turned off midway of the day/night despite fixing by the the maintenance guy. He claimed that it’s a ‘normal’ thing.
The hotel observe a strict privacy policy to the extent of NOT fixing your faulty aircond/electrical plug in your absence. So I have to come back to a warm room to ‘supervise’ the maintenance guy to fix the fault.
I could pretty much near my next door room neighbour ranting from within my room.
- pat (8/5): Reasonable price hotel near to Chinatown - Comfortable basic hotel 10 mins walking distance to Chinatown. Friendly staff
- Marlow (8/5): Ok hotel, not far from Chinatown. - The reviews we read commented on how small it was, but it wasn’t that bad, considering it was in Singapore. There was quite a bit of hair on the bathroom floor, and it definitely wasn’t ours.
- Michael (8/5): Little Gem slightly missing Sparkle - Great 5 year old hotel in quiet area near Chinatown. Good local bus service to CBD etc., Chinatown MRT a short walk away. Chinatown's many eats - street food, restaurants, etc. - all to hand, also supermarket. Using MRT and buses, great access to all of Singapore.
BUT - refrigerator in room isn't fit for purpose - barely chills (electrician and front desk confirmed 'it is not like a domestic fridge'). And terrace bar not open for entire trip "closed to be renovated". Basement alternative dour. Plus no ice machine ("buy ice in supermarket"), and no vending machine. So no cold drink in room, or outdoor beer in bar, possible - refrigerator and terrace bar were our two key selection reasons, we so we were misled. We were also disappointed by lack of soundproofing of inter-connecting door to next room (all conversations etc. heard), and poor breakfast for the price (only the fruit was remarkable).
Very limited maps or tourist information in lobby. No mention of bus stop outside with good service, no clear mention of MRT tourist pass, and availability at MRT nearby. Fortunately we are good explorers, and citizens at bus stop offered good advice.
So, with a comfortable bed, neat and effective en suite (shower) bathroom, perfect cleanliness, great wifi, and good location, and using local facilities, we had a great stay - but others less able to find own way would be disappointed. The defects could easily be remedied (real fridge, ice machine, vending machine, soundproof doors)
- Laurie & Chris (10/5): nice hotel close to Chinatown - Hotel staff very friendly, enjoyed our stay and will book again on return to Singapore.
Laurie & Christine from Australia
- Verified traveler (10/5): - New, nice, reasonable price for Singapore, quiet, close to Chinatown
- Debbie (8/5): Good Basic Hotel Close to Chinatown - Good value hotel in good location. The room was small but clean, tidy and in good condition. Ideal for a short stay
- Donald (8/5): - A few streets away from Chinatown, Clarke and Robertson Quays. Quiet location. Clean and well presented room with friendly staff.
- Glenis (8/5): Good position - Nice hotel, near to China town and lots of life. Wanted just a base after a cruise. I booked the wrong date, but they changed the booking, no problem.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great. Location in Singapore - Nice little hotel close to Chinatown and Clarke Quay. Our room was not a large room but it was more than adequate for our two night stay in Singapore. The linens were all fresh and thick and we enjoyed hot showers each day. The roof top lounge was unfortunately under renovation and the breakfast room in the. Basement is a bit drab so we did not eat at the hotel. The staff were quick to answer our questions had help with any of our concerns...we would certainly stay again.
- Rusty Nuts (10/5): Seacare hotel very pleasant. - Stayed in the Seacare pre-cruise. Ideal for a short walk to Chinatown. Just gearing up for the new Year too, splendid....
- Betty (8/5): Nice hotel. Sorry we only stayed one night. - My husband & I stayed here for just one night after a 14-night cruise. Check in and out was very fast with friendly staff. The bed was much better than the one on the cruise and we LOVED the shower.
My husband thought it was a little too far to Chinatown and the MRT but I didn't agree.
I would stay there again if ever in Singapore. Very good value.
- dutchopa (8/5): good hotel - clean and handy to shops and restaurants easy to go from airport with taxi
- Gary (10/5): - Room is cozy and clean, not used to double bed so it seemed small. But other than that the room was great and for a good price. Also liked the inexpensive food court right behind the hotel, makes for some cheap eats quick.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient and accessible - The lication is 10 mins by foot to MRT and 3-4 mins to bus stations in order to go to sime tourist attractions. If you enjoy walking at night, it took us 40mins from Merlion( aling the riverside, Ckarke Quayle ) to the hotel. Btw, you can pass by Fort Canning too. The hotel is quier, clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful and friendly. There are a lot of eateries around the hotel. Some are open 24hrs
- Jalal (8/5): Good hotel - It was great, breakfast limited, almost no fruit
- mum (8/5): good - walking distance to Chinatown. lots to eat nearby. not close to MTR
- James (10/5): Beautiful new hotel reasonably priced - Enjoyed our stay here. Would have liked an English news channel such as CNN and the refrigerator was not cold but these are minor items. Would definitely recommend.
- mohammed (8/5): Great hotel conveniently located - Located in Chinatown nearby underground , easy to get around , lots of shops , restaurants nearby . Staff were very helpful and kind.
- Verified traveler (8/5): a decent place to stay - I like this hotel. Stayed here a few times. Has a good vibe to it. Clean, modern, laid back. Away from the hustle and bustle but close enough if that's what you want.
- eric (8/5): Simple and clean hotel. - To me most important is the cleanliness of the hotel room. Thou it is not a new hotel but the overall maintenance is done well and the room is clean most importantly.
- Edward (10/5): Nice hotel well situated - Singapore has a vast selection of activities and tours which are a must to experience the city. Sentosa island is a fantastic experience and paramount Studios an absolute must!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never come back - I stayed with my friend, but his room was not cleaned!!! No soap for shower.
Very convenient surroundings.
- Franz (10/5): Excellent water pressure and temperature control! - The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly, the rooms are tidy. I think the shower is the best part; decent shower head, excellent water pressure and excellent temperature control.
- Sergey (10/5): Nice place to stay - Stayed for 3 nights.
The room was comfy and clean.
The staff was pleasant and helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very nice hotel close to centres of attraction - Considering that Singapore has a reputation for tiny hotel rooms, the double room at Seacare Hotel was spacious and it had all the necessary facilities. The mattress was very comfy and I had good night rests. I also really liked the idea of having a glass wall for the bathroom area, so that you can still continue watching what's on TV while having a shower. The bathroom however didn't have a bathtub. I guess the compensation for this was the hotel's proximity to many of the centres of attraction. You can easily walk to and fro places like Chinatown, Clarke Quay and Lau Pa sat. You can also choose to take the bus 174 from the bus stop which is just about 2mins away from the hotel. If you will are visiting Singapore and staying at the hotel during a non-public holiday period, you will certainly be spoilt for choice of where to eat, as there are many food stalls, restaurants and shops very close to the hotel.
- Kwok (8/5): My Singapore Holiday 2017. - About this hotel's location is very convenient for walking to the China Town. Also, you walking around 5 to 8 minutes can catch the Public Bus or MRT Station go to your sightseeing place. The reception's staff are very friendly and helpful. If you feel hungry or need to buy some food? You can find the Asian Supermarket & some Asia food shops are very close to this hotel. This hotel are very convenient for the tourist.
- a ip (2/5): Dirty room, poor showering system, unhelpful staff - We booked total 4 nights, in the 1st night, we told the staff the shower fail to provide hot water, they came up and stay outside the room and said I need to turn the shower on and wait for several minutes, and claim the water will getting hotter in a few minutes, I finally wait for at least 10 mins to have the water turn hot. Furthermore, I also complain on the water pressure, it is too low that I don't think a hotel should offer such a low quality bathing experience to customers. And the staff told me every thing normal without coming in to check the shower facilities. It seems I am very annoying and too demanding.
The room.i stay doesn't look the same as the photo in expedia too. It looks smaller and in different design and layout. I request to change the room due to the poor shower. However , the hotels look full booking
On the other day, I remind the receptionist to check the shower again when I go out for shopping. However , when I back at night, the shower didn't improve. I called to request changing the room again. This time they allow me.to change. The new room looks the same as the photo in expedia finally. I go to check the shower immediately, and it obviously works much better than previous room's.
However, the room has a lot of ant/insect on the table and floor. When I laid on bed, something bite on me and bitr on my hubby's face as we. We request some one come to change the bed sheet, pillow sheet...etc. 2 men comes, and looks very impatient.
- Nada (8/5): Central spot, close to most attractions. - My wife and I stayed for four nights and we have not had any issues with the accommodation. Although the room we stayed is small, it is just enough for two of us, more than two would have been been a bit uncomfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The main attraction, The GRden by the Bay is just a ten-minutes cabdriver. MRT and Chinatown are just 10 minutes walk. We would not hesitate to go back to this hotel again, if we decide to visit Singapore again. Very very clean city and the Terminal3 is excellent architecture, I love it!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Great disappointment - From bad to worst: 1) The aircon was leaking even after repair 2) The water in the shower room was very small/weak 3) Breakfast was included but my friends were asked to leave the table (after being ushered to the table). Upon checking with thre reception, breakfast was indeed included. On the few days were ok. We were not sure what happened on 13/5.
I have booked the hotel for my friends from Taiwan and it is indeed an embarrassment after their feedbacks.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Modern, clean hotel in Chinatown - Staff were very friendly, accommodating and efficient. The room was compact but had a mini fridge and safe. I was worried about the full length glass window looking into the bathroom as far as privacy goes, but there is a blind that you pull down,so all good. There was a glass shower screen door to keep the water in the shower and not all over the bathroom floor, toilet and basin like a lot of 3 star Singapore hotels. Air conditioning was great. Noise from neighbours can be disturbing but mostly it was quiet. We stayed on the 15th floor and could hear a lot of road noise because of the major roads surrounding the hotel, but that's city life.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Close to Chinatown, good value - Great staff, comfortable room with a very good bed. Good location allowed us to walk to most places we were interested in.
- Thania (8/5): Happy at The Seacare Hotel - Room clean with good layout. Walls thin - can hear neighbours - but overall quiet. Very central for tourists - close to MRT and hop on hop off stops. Booked this hotel twice now and will come back again. Great staff!
- vicki (10/5): great hotel 5 minutes from China Town - A great hotel this is my second time here and would stay again......location just alittle out of the way but only around 10 minutes to China Town 5 minutes to MRT train transport also shops.staff so friendly and helpful...can not fault this hotel...rooms alittle small but clean and beds so comfortable Air Con just wonderful
- Verified traveler (10/5): Overall very pleasant experience! - Stayed here for 4 nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel was very clean, well-priced, and very comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay here, and I'd come back to stay at this hotel.
- troy (2/5): Nope....poor option in Singapore - Epic fail for a hotel is no hot water...I stayed on 4th floor and there was zero hot water in the shower both at night time and in the morning. And i expect actual toilet rolls not those stupid toilet tissue dispensers you find at truck stops.
Hotel is close to Chinatown but is charging way more than it should be for a room with no hot water.
- Bruce (8/5): New Clean and positioned in a tourist precinct. - This Hotel is in Singapore's China Town. It is close to many food outlets and has a 24 hour supermarket just 100 metres opposite. It is comparatively new and in easy reach of the Mrt. With a bus stop also only 60 metres from the hotel . The 174 double deck bus circuits Singapore and drop offs are available at Orchard Road one of the main tourist areas, as well as many other must see places.
The Hotel has spacious rooms and very nice clean and well serviced facilities. The staff are most helpful and nothing is to much trouble for them.
Generally a very good reasonable cost Hotel in this bustling tourist city.
Would definitely stay again. The Taxi ride from the airport to this abode costs approximately $30 to $35 Singapore.
- matt (8/5): Nice hotel close to Chinatown - Stayed here for 2 nights while in transit. A short walk to Chinatown. Room was fairly small but clean and seemed to be quite new. Staff were helpful. No complaints.
- Mike (6/5): Excellent value, 5 minutes walk from China Town - Rooms are very small, but they are clean & have everything you need for a short stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): Short stay - Good price for what you got just did not like shower could not turn on without getting wet and had to run for 15mins to warm up go figure on the water conservation they advertise
- colin (8/5): Good value - Hotel only has a bar in the evening with karaoke .food in restaurant not too good
- Jean (8/5): - Great location. Could use more drawer and storage for clothing
- Verified traveler (6/5): Convenient hotel. - It was very good.
There was a live cockroach in the clothing closet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Close to Sentosa and China town - Room is clean, convenient for dinning out. 700m to China town and train stop. Others are average
- John Bosco (8/5): Nice to stay and good price. - Only thin need to wait longer shower hot water.
- Leo (10/5): The location is very close to Chinatown - Very close to Chinatown but at a very quiet location.
- momo (8/5): Close to Chinatown - A bit far from the subway but close to Chinatown amenities. Quiet location and clean hotel room. Overall Recommended.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Deal - The staff was very helpful.
- Jarek (10/5): Great hotel and excellent location - Excellent hotel and staff !
Hawkers with super cheap food right behind the hotel !
- Des (10/5): Well located hotel close to Chinatown and the City - 5 day stay for tourism. The hotel was pleasant and the only downside was road noise which we got used to.
- Gulab (8/5): Nice and Clean hotel - Hotel room very small. we had two luggage and it was very hard for us to organize that two bags in that tiny room. other wise hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. hotel and room was pretty clean.
- Amy (10/5): Good location near Chinatown but not in it :) - Pretty good location near Chinatown stop and People's park (a great Hawkers Centre you will love)!
- Balan (8/5): Enjoyable stay st Seacare Hotel - Room was always clean. Comfortable bed and nice size bathroom with a separate shower cubicle. Toiletries supplied daily. Tea and coffe making facilities. Has a well equipped gym. Staff were very friendly and always ready to help.
- Shayne (10/5): Great stay - Really enjoyed our stay. Reception staff offered some of the best front of house service I've experienced in a while. When booking this hotel, you know it's not in the city. Walking to Chinatown was easy and everything you could want is nearby. Would definitely stay here again.
- Mike (8/5): Very Pleasing - We were only at Seacare for a few days in late September and found everthing about the hotel was pleasing the accommodation and staff were up to the mark and went out of their way to be very helpful, not one problem and would recommend this hotel
- Ka Fai Tony (10/5): Good for local food! - I went there for 2 days business trip. I sleep well in the comfortable room. A small table for work. Excellent, suit my needs!
- paul k (8/5): 3 night stay - Hotel was easy to find from Chinatown MRT surprisingly in a very good location for price paid. Room was small but really didn't spend much time in hotel everyone was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were cleaned daily
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay - We stayed three nights and can recommend this hotel. Very clean, helpful staff, ten minutes walk to the next train station, a few minutes walk to the cheap street food market of Chinatown. Would choose this hotel again for a next stay!
- Mohamed Arshad (10/5): Nice hotel not too far from the MRT - very clean with a great sized TV and excellent WiFi
- San Fai (6/5): Hotel near Chinatown and public housing - It is an acceptable hotel with reasonable price. Don't expect much about facilities and the breakfast. They are just all right and nothing special. Near red star restaurant where you can have Chinese food. About 5-10 minute walk you can go to Chinatown Point where you can have a variety of food. Near Chin Swee Estate and it is very safe with supermarket and ATMs.
- Manami (6/5): Location was nice, room was ok.. Little smelly. - It was ok hotel. The room was very small, but it's normal in Singapore.
Location was very convenient, and they have a free shuttle to Great World City, Chinatown, and MRT station.
The bathroom was a little smelly, and we could smell from the room as well because of the size.
Nothing wrong with the hotel, but we just did not like it, so we would not come back.
Service was so so. For the price, maybe it is reasonable. It is a 4 star hotel, but it did not feel like a 4 star.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Decent and wll priced. - The Seacare was clean and in a decent location. The best thing about it, is that there is a food hawker station within a 5 minute walk. breakfast there was amazing.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Quiet but convenient location - It's easy to walk to shops, foods court and China Town and public transport as well. Staff are very friendly and room was serviced daily. We were happy to stay there.
- Andrew (8/5): Good Location, Great staff - Hotel is located very centrally to most shopping area, despite it not close to any MRT, but a short and cheap taxi ride and your in the main stretch of Orchard Road. Very accommodating staff, special shout out to Asst Duty Manager (Teo), he was very professional and offered great support with my needs.
- Rakesh (8/5): - Great stay. The hotel refused to replace water bottles on the day of check-out which seemed rather strange. Also, the room only had coffee as complimentary beverage. Black tea/green tea would have helped. Bathrooms could also do good with some hair conditioners/hand sanitizers. I personally do not appreciate a bathroom with a see through glass.
- vicki (10/5): great hotel and staff so friendly - great hotel...staff were so friendly and helpful...quick check in close to China Town only about 10 to 15mins walk.MRT close by...rooms very clean ...small but enough room....Sui Nee at front desk so helpful ...taxi from airport around $20...to $25 dollars....has a roof top bar which you can get great views of Singapore but no drinks up there :( shame perfect spot for a drink
- Ankur (6/5): Close to public transport - We went to see the gardens. They had orchids festival. There were orchids everywhere. We havent seen these many orchids before at one place.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good hotel if you are willing to walk a bit.
