Guest Reviews
- Denis (10/5): -
- John (10/5): Very relaxing great hosts - Very peaceful
- Neil (9/5): Excellent stay. - Very comfortable and spacious with an excellent breakfast.
- Hughk (9/5): Relaxed and friendly - Homely and clean Nothing
- Zoe (10/5): - Breakfast was in the conservatory overlooking the lovely gardens
Lovely breakfast, everything fresh and prepared for you.
- Andrew (9/5): - Just lovely
- Kerry (9/5): A very comfortable place to stay with excellent breakfast -
- Tracey (9/5): T - Lovely breakfast friendly hosts. Everything was great.
- Debbie J (10/5): Beautiful surroundings, comfortable and the BEST breakfast! - Before arrival we had great communication with the hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and having an early check-in did not phase them. Upon arrival we were greeted by David, who explained where everything was located, gave us the breakfast choices for the following morning, and showed us to our fabulous room. After a comfortable night's sleep, we had the 'best' (and we mean the best) breakfast we have ever had at a B&B. The yoghurt and granola was very tasty, and everything on the full English was cooked to perfection. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable. We highly recommend Pointers Guest House. There was nothing to dislike :-)
- Diane (10/5): Excellent & very comfortable base for us while we attended a nearby wedding. - Great location . Quiet & rural set in lovely grounds.
Large & comfortable bedroom with huge en suite and a good choice of freshly cooked breakfast. Nothing. All good.
- Sam (8/5): -
- Gary (10/5): - Clean, nice breakfast
- Goy (10/5): -
- Peter (9/5): certainly one of the more unique places we have stayed at. - breakfasts were very good. the location was great as it was on its own and surrounded by fields, so very quiet. we were lucky as we were treated to a tour of the woodlands at the back which are operating as a wildlife area.
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely grounds Beds quite firm
- Mot (7/5): Overall a nice, welcoming establishment. - Would benefit from regular ventilatining. A noticable musty smell, present.
- Ken (10/5): Large friendly B&B in quiet location - Large bedroomed B&B set in acres of quiet countryside. Excellent spacious bedroom with all amenities. Secure parking.
Plenty of hot and cold choices for breakfast. Eileen and David were perfect hosts. It has acres of its own fields which you are able to walk through. We stayed 4 nights and would gladly go again if we are ever in the area.
- Ercan (5/5): Couldn’t find a word to summarise - Land lady was kind and breakfast was good in the morning.
House was clean and tidy. On our previous year, host lady welcomed us, our stay was good that’s why we wanted to stay there again. However, we weren't happy with host David's imperious attitude towards us on our arrival this time. I had head ache whole night owing to his attitude.
- Shankar (9/5): Superb -
- Caleb (10/5): Excellent visit - I love the property amazing staff always polite, free cot available on request and helped when needed as well, will definitely be using again me and my 1 1/2 year old was happy
- Douglas (9/5): It suited us very well as we needed 3 rooms together as a family and the breakfast was great too. - The rooms were lovely and spacious. Nice quiet location. Very nice breakfast. Everything clean and comfortable. The bedroom could have been a bit warmer!
- Adil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shaunh (9/5): Lovely Guest House and Grounds! - We had stayed here in 2021 so we knew the property. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The owners are very helpful. Full English breakfast is very good and sets you up for the day. The house is in 15 acres of land which the owners have developed over the years into an award-winning conservation "park". You can walk around at least some of it, but we have yet to do that as we have only stayed in winter!
- Martin (9/5): An very good night stop for travellers from Felixstowe or visitor to Cambridge - A great overnight stay in a really exceptional bedroom. Delicious breakfast with smoked trout that had been caught by our host. The place and the welcome we received couldn't have been better. Unfortunately, good evening meals tend to be a few miles drive away. Ok in summer but tricky in winter on narrow fen roads.
- Nicholas (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Kieran (9/5): A quick one night stay for a group returning from France a lovely place to break our journey in this charming guest hous - Charming property just outside the village of Winston. The hosts were very accommodating and the rooms were lovely. No real comments for improvement

- Patrick (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable and clean
- Barbara (10/5): Our stat at Pointers - We have been before and the hosts are very friendly I would highly recommend Pointers There was nothing about our stay we did nit like
- Simhare (5/5): Great location but limited access to the grounds. - The location was perfect for my business meeting, and the cleanliness of the room was to a very good standard. The premises was in beautiful surroundings. My only frustration was that the owners had several dogs that were given access to the garden at which point the residents were not permitted to use the grounds. You can request for the owners to bring the dogs in but this became awkward, if you decided to to use the grounds a few time during the evening. Its a real pity as the grounds looked really nice, but not easily accessible.
- Sandra (9/5): Superb - The peace & tranquility of this lovely house & surroundings. Breakfast was excellent & plentiful. Hosts were very helpful & pleasant. Nothing.
- Linda (10/5): Lovely relaxing stay with amazing views and lots of wild life it was perfect. - This is a perfect location set in beautiful countryside, a lovely stay the breakfast is very tasty with lots of choices, David even warmed some plates for us and set us up in the conservatory to eat our fish and chips we had bought thank you so much. I couldnt find anything that could be better you are welcomed into their home this is a gem in the countryside.
- Cm (10/5): Great stay - Couldn't fault the place, would go back anytime. Nothing
- Jaimie (9/5): A wonderful base for seeing family - Peaceful location, and on a secure and beautiful site. We were met with a friendly and helpful welcome from David. Lovely breakfast and comfortable, spacious rooms. Good size bathrooms and very clean. Rooms are a little dated, but in keeping with the period of the property, of which David gave us some history, which was interesting to hear. Both he and his wife are very hard workers and that is clear to see. Nothing we didn't like!
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic service and great location. Breakfast was amazing and served on time of my chosing every morning.
- Gabriel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marielle (8/5): Quiet place to have a good night sleep in a beautiful area. - Pointers Guesthouse is very well situated. We very much liked the quiet surroundings. The hosts were very friendly. Recommendation for a restaurant on saturday evening was superb. We had an excellent breakfast. The ability to charge our car during night was perfect.
Thank you, David and Eileen. We didn't miss anything.
- Bertaux (9/5): A quiet place where English breakfast is always perfect - A nice and quiet place
- Leon (8/5): Would stay again - Beautiful grounds, very accommodating breakfast, friendly people We got the one room with a king bed (good) but the bathroom across the hall

- Andy (8/5): A beautiful b&b run by a lovely couple. Spotlessly clean and breakfast was superb. - Lovely building in a very quiet location
- Helen (6/5): Met our needs! - Near to Wiston where we were meeting friends. couple are abrupt and not very friendly or polite. we also booked a double room I'm pretty sure but had a twin room, which was fine, but not what we booked?
- Helen (9/5): We had a really delightful weekend stay at Pointers, the breakfast was delicious and the hosts kind. - Set away from the road, the room was quiet with lovely views of the garden and fields. The light switches in the hall.

BREAKFAST WAS SUPERB !
- Martin (7/5): Good - It was very comfortable the host's we're very nice, and was there if you need anything, very informative about the area The room was abit cold and the conservatory was very cold were we had breakfast, which made breakfast not very hot
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arupp (9/5): .A loverly stay. With friendly people - Difficult to get up stairs.a lovely
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (10/5): superb! - Eileen and David made me feel so welcome. It was like staying with friends. A gown was available in my room to enable me to relax completely . As a woman that works away from home a fair amount of time, i often feel uncomfortable and vulnerable in hotels and often have all my meals in my room. However, I felt totally at ease and safe throughout my stay. Pointers guest house is such an amazing place to unwind after a long hard day working, and the grounds beautiful. I was greeted by Eileen , the following morning , for breakfast, with a friendly and welcoming smile and taken to my table, where I enjoyed a wonderfully prepared breakfast whilst looking out onto the gardens , from the conservatory . I will definitely be staying here again, not just for work but also for pleasure .
Thank you so much Eileen and David . xxx
