- Verified traveler (6/5): - Completely honest review ! for a place to just get your head down for the night then it’s okay but for the condition of the room I think £80 was overpriced even for that . Good points : very friendly staff ,had parking and could check in early tea and coffee in the room and small items you could use free of charge of the landing.had its own side entrance meaning you could come and go whenever without having to walk through the pub. Bad points : smelt of old cigarettes and beer and very run down. Shower was basically in the room with you see pictures so couldn’t not have private shower and the toilet door was a sliding door again not very private . Netting was stained No soap or towel in bathroom We didn’t have breakfast as wanted something more substantial but there was apparently cereals yoghurts toast available. As I said if you literally just need a room for the night then I think it’s fine but if you’re looking for a bit of comfort and luxury spending time in the room or staying for a weekend it would be a no from me

Plenty of choice for breakfast, fruit, yogurts cereals toast & crumpets with preserves and juice. Lovely friendly staff. Only one negative point is lack of parking on the premises

The rooms are above a busy bar…… although I stayed on a Friday night, I wasn’t kept awake, but that may be a problem for light sleepers. Fair value

Quick check in at the bar, was shown to my room upstairs, and all info given then. Room was an ok size, shower room was small. Furniture old and work as was the decor A big moldy ceiling tile above the shower Bed has a little creaky and springy mattress. Wifi excellent Shower ok not overly powerful No food service but close to lots of restaurants. Breakfast included but it's a small Continental. Pub atmosphere, lots of banter, pool table and darts on offer. Location about a 5 min walk to the beach and town centre. Great staff. Decor really lets it down and the mattress!! .

- Marina (6/5): - The location was not too far from beach, the staff were friendly enough the bed was clean & toilet but the room was grubby & looked dirty it needed decorating the whole upstairs needed a makeover, you had to make your own breakfast & that was just toast, or cereal make your own tea even the breakfast room was grubby looking, On top of the stairs you had a fridge you can put your on milk & stuff in a shelf with extra tea/coffee/sugar & boxes of cereal what’s that all about? We did try find somewhere else but everywhere was booked. Charge to much never stay there again we left a day early this is definitely a one star if that

- Nick (4/5): - I fancied a short break in the Weymouth area and this was the cheapest accommodation available. Although I had read the reviews before booking and knew what to expect, I was still frustrated at the lack of facilities. It is indeed a no-frills stay, but as a seasoned budget traveller I'm used to paying much less for a room and receiving much more in return, i.e. cooked breakfast, complimentary shower & shampoo sachets, blackout curtains, and mini fridge in room - none of these were here. The positives were that the room was clean, staff were friendly and the room had a pedestal fan which was needed in the summer.

- Rebecca (2/5): - No water at all coming from the hot tap, dirty stains on bed, fan thick with dust, vanity light didn’t work. Landing light on all night and glass window over the door so room flooded with light all night. Internet had no connection and no parking space, had to risk parking in residents only area overnight. No one to report concerns too as back after 11pm and pub closed. Only the cleaner in on Friday morning at 8am when I left. I wouldn’t have stayed at all if my drive wasn’t 7hrs. I drove 14hrs in 2 days on no sleep. Tried to contact via phone myself and never any answer. Expedia customer service tried to call 4 times & no answer. I’d have let the water slide if I’d have had any sleep.

- Sam (10/5): Perfect for a simple stay, close to town - Lovely welcome to my solo one night stay. Room was clean and had everything I needed. Was slightly worried when saw it was a pub but was in a residential area and very quiet. I returned before 11pm and it was silent. Has a few parking spaces which I managed to use but there would be no problem with free parking on the street. Just a short walk to the seafront and town. Staff very friendly. Perfect for a simple stay, close to local attractions.

Check in was easy and the place has a homely feel. The single room is comfortable and cosy and has everything I need as a single traveller. Fully recommend. I love it here.
- Paul (4/5): - The room we were put in was not suitable at all, the bathroom facilities were poor, the shower was not suitable for an adult size person, bar staff were excellent, continental breakfast was a loaf of bread and orange juice, sorry but not stay there again, we even left the second night and went somewhere else

The single room I stayed in was rather small and quite dated, but with the window open for ventilation it was good enough for a night's sleep. Staff was friendly and continental buffet breakfast OK. Parking was on the street and a bit tight, but I managed to get a place. Location is OK and it's an easy 30 minute drive to the Tank Museum.

- Danielle (8/5): Not bad for last minute booking. - We had a descent and comfortable stay. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. The hotel had a bar, but we don’t drink. Continental breakfast was simple and modest; cold cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice and some fruits. The shower had excellent water pressure. Overall, it was a comfortable and restful stay.

Room was far size with a useable shower/toilet area. Two negatives, car parking awful if you drive a bigger car (van across two bays) parked down the road and it was noisy as it’s above a pub. Breakfast was poor - never been offered Fortisip on menu before

- Heather (2/5): Recent stay - Where do we begin. On arrival at the hotel there was no where to park. The barman kindly gave his spot up for us to park and was more than helpful and apologetic that there was no where to park. The landlady showed us to the room which was room 3. On entering the room you could not swing a cat. The shower cubicle very small and looked like it had been been purpose built as this was separate from the toilet and sink. The space in the toilet was tiny and you had to go in backwards to sit down on the toilet. As for a good nights sleep, my partner kept waking up smelling wet dog. Got told breakfast would be at 8am we were gone before 8am. On the plus side the Wifi was excellent and the bearded barman was more than helpful and very friendly. Having read some reviews before booking this hotel we were very suprised on arrival to what we walked into. Remember people you get what you pay for.

- Gwen (8/5): Great quiet location and very friendly staff - The staff were so friendly and accommodating. I had concerns about staying in a pub because of noise only this was not the case. Location great and we were back in time for a night cap. Also thought the double (used to king size at home) was going to be uncomfortable thankfully it wasn’t. We didn’t realise shampoos etc were in the landing our fault as we collected the key earlier than check in and returned later that night. We hope to return next year if we go to the Wessex Folk Festival. Thank you.

- Verified traveler (10/5): 4 day break. - Best way to describe the staff is it was like visiting old friends, so friendly and genuine, happy to help with anything. The hotol was lovely and what i would call traditional, excellent location and if you wanted to visit Weymouth you could park the car and get everywhere on foot within 10-20 minutes from the hotel, but also a short drive to Durdle door, Lulworth cove and monkey world, all worth a visit.

- MICHAEL (6/5): - The bed appeared to be clean. The toilet and shower were really small. The electrics and plumbing were suspect, I would not have been happy to have a child in the room. The 'continental' breakfast was sliced bread, cereals and yoghurt. I even had to boil the kettle and find a teapot for my morning cuppa. There were not enough seats for the people wanting breakfast Health and safety inspectors would have a field day here

- Helen (6/5): - I think that describing the Wetherbury as a hotel is misleading - it is a pub with guest bedrooms. First appearances were pretty dire, as it does not have the most attractive/appealing exterior. Our bedroom however was clean and comfortable, if a little out dated (could do with refurbishing). We had read previous reviews so were prepared for the very basic continental breakfast offered. The staff were friendly, and the pub was walkable to Weymouth so it was good enough for us. Probably wouldn’t chose to stay here again though.
