- Christopher (10/5): Commodore Hotel = FANTASTIC - Rebecca was awesome and super friendly. Lovely small town experience, with a renovated older building. We got to see some live music and get a break from the same old same old chain hotel experience. Room was super clean, water pressure was AMAZING. Would definitely stay again.

The only drawback was limited hot water in the shower.
- John (10/5): - Always enjoy staying at the Commodore
- Patsy (8/5): Quaint Hotel in Quaint Town - Loved our stay at Commodore Hotel! Room was spacious with a king sized bed, a couch and kitchenette. We stayed on the ground floor. There are no elevators. Coffee shop across the street serves great coffee.
- Lydia (10/5): - We had a great time . The only negative we had is the bath room was in need of love and they were out of T-shirts .
- Linda (10/5): - Very comfortable.
- Kim (8/5): - I had a nice stay. My only complaint, it was noisy. Everyone was very helpful.

- Shelby (10/5): - This property was exactly what it was described as. The price and how cute it was made it perfect!
- paula (6/5): - The property was very run down, windiws were so dirty you could not see out, and the ceiling was water'stained. The room itself was clean. Crystal was amazing, friendly and helpful.
- Alex (10/5): Great place to stay - Great Hotel such friendly , sociable and fabulous staff and owners
In a quaint little town between Memphis and Nashville. Great room and so peaceful
Very clean and tidy would love to go again
- Renaee Hope (10/5): - Absolutely loved this charming place. Will definitely stay again.
- Jimmy (10/5): - The old-fashion look is an interesting change from the modern motels. Even though it's old, it's clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The air conditioning was quiet and worked very well. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would welcome the chance to stay here again.
- Nancy (8/5): - Very quaint! It was nice that there was a code to get in the doors instead of a key card. Fresh towels daily but no garbage collected or coffee supplies replenished. Freezer in fridge was too frosted to use. All in all it was a unique hotel experience in a nice little town.
- travis (10/5): - Historical
- Darrell (8/5): - We were surprised that the breakfast did not offer more variety like fruit, sweet rolls and muffins and jelly for breads.
- Beverly (8/5): - This is an old building, 1939, with no elevator and all rooms are on the second floor. We stayed in room #2, view of the main street. King bed is real big and extra comfortable. Shower head could be better. Good size room. The air conditioner really works too!
- Wendy (10/5): - This building is beautiful! So charming and cozy. The the decor and music in the lobby takes you back in time.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great Potential - Just so so. There is a lot of potential with the Commodore. Some refurbishing in the rooms would be great. Needs new beds. Have a real breakfast instead of a continental since there is a Restaurant there. We appreciated the fact the owners reopened a historical building and it could be really great.
- MICHAEL (6/5): - The room was clean but needs more ammenities, full length mirror, hand rails in bathroom etc.
- Linda (10/5): - Very friendly staff! Good food at the cafe and Continental breakfast.
- Jonathon (10/5): - Crystal was absolutely great! She was helpful, friendly, professional yet personal.
- Dean (10/5): Delightful Commodore Hotel - What a wonderful surprise! Refinished, local hotel with a cafe and live music !
- Beverly (10/5): - This Hotel was Awesome! Staff, Restaurant, etc. Decided to make this a Yearly Trip
- Patty (10/5): Great property - You trreated my family members awesome. Thank you. Kathy's customer service skills were outstanding. She was helpoful, friendly and extremely professional. Thank you.
- Elsie (6/5): - I stayed at The Commodore several years ago and was in the main building. I was placed in the adjacent building with a steep, steep flight of stairs and uncomfortable room. Did not measure up to initial stay. I was not given a choice as to which building I would be in.
- Rebeca (10/5): A great stop - Just wonderful! The room is nicely remodeled but has kept the 'boarding house' feel. Upon check-in I was asked if I wanted to reserve a table at the cafe for dinner - I'm so glad i said yes! The food was wonderful and the live music was great! The place was full - having a table reserved for me was a thoughtful touch. the town was fun to wander. I'll definitely be back in warmer weather for kayaking, too!
- Huey (10/5): - All was good, great place to geet away, good food all in all everything was grea
- Mary (6/5): - Very old building! Nothing open on Sunday and Monday. Nothing in town.
- Mary (4/5): Lots of Potential But Not Quite There Yet - This is a historic (built in the 1930s) hotel that has been refurbished and it has lots of potential but is still not quite ready for prime time. The main disappointment for us is that the hotel cafe only serves dinner on weekends and there are few other dining options in the town.
- Lee (10/5): - Very noisy neighbors...Not the hotels fault.
Its an old building...to be expected...
- Teresa (10/5): - Even though our stay in Linden was a goodbye to a family member, the Commodore provided a comforting place for us to stay and the perfect rooms for our little ones.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice but could be better - The Commodore is clean, the staff incredibly nice and helpful, but the accommodations are not the best. Having said that, there is no other competition in the area and God bless them for being there. We were there for an event at the elephant sanctuary in Hohenwald, so the commute was easy. The Friday night entertainment was a plus, but the acoustics and the room size left one’s ears ringing.
- Judy (10/5): - Was expecting the Resturant to serve food on Friday for lunch and dinner . But didn’t . The menu looked very good so we were disappointed for that . Other wise everything else was good .
- Laura (10/5): - I love this hotel!! The staff is always friendly and willing to help any way they can! Hotel is an old hotel, but very clean. It has lots of original features of the old hotel with lots of new upgrades!
- Anthony (10/5): - Excellent place
- Kevin (10/5): - This is a quaint older hotel that was built in 1939. If you are looking for a Hyatt, this place isn’t for you. I loved the charm of the place, the Speak Easy, and the staff. Will stay here again.
- Jeff (8/5): OK for the money - I was a quite, clean cozy place. The ONLY 2 negative things I have to say is I was disappointed that the Cafe part was closed and there was NO hot water.
- Chase (8/5): - Neat old hotel! Alex was super friendly. Bathroom was clean but very dated. I’m sure that improvements are continuous based on the modern AC units.
- Regina (10/5): - Loved our stay at the Commodore Hotel. Kind staff and great location. Thanks.
- Gwendolyn (8/5): Come back again - Great
- Jo (10/5): - We love staying at this charming hotel … the staff is amazing!!
- Angela (10/5): - The restaurant was a bonus. Property is historic so it was a treat to stay in.
- Kristen (6/5): - It was a cute, quaint, old hotel in a beautiful area and our stay was okay but our expectations had been higher. We just didn’t feel the personal attention or Southern hospitality that was mentioned in promotions or other reviews. When we checked in, it was very businesslike, they couldn’t seem to find our Travelocity reservation, and they didn’t offer the tour of the place that we’d read first-timers could expect and that we’d been looking forward to. At dinner in the very small, charming cafe/restaurant with a delicious looking menu, we felt like just a number and not an important one at that. Service was slow and inattentive, they got my dinner order wrong, and they brought my salad at the same time as my meal so that my dinner got cold. We had to wait forever for more water or another drink. Despite those disappointments, the live music was very enjoyable and the drinks were delicious. I guess in the end our disappointment was that we felt like outsiders, who weren’t particularly welcome. We watched other tables where the patrons seemed better known to the staff who seemed to be getting great attention and lots of conversation and laughter, while we felt pretty much left on our own. We did meet and speak with one of the owners on our way out the next day and he was apologetic and nice, so maybe we just hit them on a bad day. Things happen and we don’t want to slam anyone but felt it was important to review honestly as reviews are what led us there in the first place.
- Douglas (10/5): What a great spot. - It's a great old hotel that's been updated while maintaining the charm. Staff was amazing and friendly. You should definitely check it out!
- Susan (10/5): A great friendly place, worth the trip - It was amazing, so much hospitality, cute town with lots in walking distance. Locals want to make sure you get the most out of what is offered. We were surprised that so many song writers and singers from Nashville and surrounding towns were there both Friday and Saturday night. Had the time of my life. meet so many great people. Definitely will go back.
- Yvette (6/5): - The lady who met us was very nice. Our room was just okay. Beds were very uncomfortable and continental breakfast was very minimal...cereal and bagels. I wouldn't stay again.
- Brian (10/5): - Great place to stay
- Warren (8/5): Nice old restored hotel - Best hotel in town. Needs better heating or provide space heaters. The lady that helped and checked me in was very nice and professional
- Susan (8/5): - The service was very good
- Linda (10/5): - I had a great stay! Will stay again
- Julie (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable
- Aaron (10/5): - Friendly staff, quiet and clean
- Kimberly (6/5): - Old mattress, only 2 electrical outlets
- Amanda (10/5): Nice stay - Great stay and very affordable. Everything was clean and the beds were super comfortable.
- Ann-Margret (10/5): - Beautiful hotel with great space. AC worked great and plenty of kid friendly programming. Beds were a bit harder than I would have liked but overall it was a lovely stay.
- jeff (10/5): - Very nice!
- Christian (10/5): Quaint - Pleasant mix of vintage and modern, comfortable and cozy
- Jerry (8/5): - ;Loved rustic building and decore.
- Richard (10/5): - Good people clean property
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stop! - Friendly informative staff. Ice machine. Stairs. Very quiet. Clean. Nice continental breakfast with boiled eggs and freshly made waffles. Lovely.
- Maria (10/5): Mid-August family trip - I enjoyed the stay of this antique charming bed and breakfast. The hotel manager called to ensure I was enroute and to call to get front door opened. It is a downtown location and the hotel is tucked in there. The room, linens, and towels were clean. Great ac in room with adjustable thermostat control (updated ac isn't something I expected in a time period room). The breakfast waffles are highly recommended. Kid friendly place. The walls were not soundproof to mute adjacent rooms, just something to note and prepare for.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Rustic and charming - We wanted to stay somewhere that has more character on our roadtrip. Commodore was rustic and charming. our room was clean and had the basic amenities. Unfortunately no dinner during week nights. They served fresh waffles with the continental breakfast which made up for it! Overall decent value.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Delightful. The only downside was the closure of the Speakeasy for renovations. Otherwise the hotel and staff exceeded expectations.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice, simple place to stay for a night
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This old hotel sits on the main street in the pleasant town of Linden, a small village in the rolling hills and scenic rivers of south western Tennessee. Parking is very convenient, including being able to park on Main St directly in front of the hotel. The street level lobby and cafe are spacious, the wide staircase and nicely carpeted hallways lead to the second floor rooms, The queen room was spacious, with beautiful hardwood flooring, comfortable bed and chairs, a small vanity/sink, fridge and microwave.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful people.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Kathy and Michael were excellent hosts
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quaint 1938 hotel that still has some of the look from that time. Rooms were nice, it was quiet and the breakfast was wonderful. The only negative and it really isn’t a negative is there was no soap or shampoo in the shower and no hairdryer. It may have been available at the desk. I will definitely go back and stay two days.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I loved that they have live entertainment every Friday night!
- Jennifer (10/5): - I love the very old timey but elegant beauty of the enire place loved the little bar sitting place
- Michael A (10/5): - Great rustic building, owners and staff were amazing. Would highly recommend this to anyone. Safe and friendly town.
- Heather (10/5): - Very comfortable stay. Staff service was excellent.
- Kim (8/5): - Small room, band played until 10pm on Fri night, my room was directly above where they were playing. The bathroom fan fan helped drown out the noise. The door DIES NOT have a secondary lock! The room was moderately clean. The staff was the shinning star, thus I upped the rating.
- Joe (10/5): - Room was very clean. Great service.
- Jane (10/5): Perfect getaway - Had a great getaway weekend here. Hotel and café staff went out of their way to be hospitable, and make us feel comfortable.
- Tom (8/5): - We enjoyed our stay at the Commodore. It was a quaint property and a nice alternative to the normal hotel/motel.
In spite of its age the hotel was clean and quiet. The proprietors and staff were friendly and eager to ensure a pleasant stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The owners were very accomodating and the rooms were clean.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Historical 1939 hotel is quaint, and nice enough to stay again.
- Desiree (8/5): - All staff were extremely nice. Check in/out was easy. There is no elevator so pack lightly. My daughter (age 9) and I stayed in room 5. There was plenty of hot water and towels. Hotel is very clean. It does have the most channels on a TV than any hotel I have ever stayed. There are some things I wish were in our room like a mini-fridge and microwave....It is a very small town and food was our biggest challenge. The bed was an awful 6 inch spring mattress, so I traveled the 30 minutes to the nearest Walmart and bought a 2 inch gel topper for our remaining 3 nights. There is some decent entertainment on Friday and Saturday night. We did eat dinner one night there and it was delicious. Breakfast is a challenge if you don't get up to eat there 7-9am. It is a 25 minute ride to get to McDonalds/Hardees. All in all its a cute place to stay as long as you don't care and appreciate restored buildings are not perfect- Lots of character here.
- Cheryl (8/5): - Well it started out bad because they gave our room away that i booked on Monday for Wednesday. Bit the employee was very accommodating and found us another room. And overall our stay was very nice, room was air conditioned and had things that you may need i.e. fridge and microwave.
- Laura (10/5): - Loved my stay here! The nostalgia of the Hotel was amazing! My room was very clean. Customer service was above and beyond what i expected!! Will be staying here again!!
- Jennifer (10/5): - My sister lives in the area so we have stayed at the Commodore many times over the years. The staff is friendly and efficient. The rooms are clean. In our last two visits we stayed in the Commodore's boarding house which has spacious rooms, wide hallways, and cute sitting areas. The only complaint we have is that the bathroom does not have enough counter space. All in all, I highly recommend it.
- Amanda (4/5): - To start off we paid $771 to stay from the 26th to July 3rd. The hotel is Nice, I'll give it a 10, but when we went in our room there was a molded Chilli dog in the microwave, an old bottle of open juice in the refrigerator and a dead roach in the bathroom floor. Out of the 7 days we got service twice. We had to call for toilet paper and towels and finally we just bought our own toliet paper. We drank the coffee that was in the room when we got there and never seen anymore put back in the room the entire time. I would stay here again due to the convenience of everything but will definitely buy my own things to bring with me.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We really enjoyed our visit to small town America, Linden, TN, and our stay at The Commodore Hotel and Cafe. Thank you for being pet friendly. We like to stay in quaint, one of a kind, Mom and Pop B & B's and Hotels instead of chains when we travel. However, it's very difficult to find Pet Friendly accommodations, especially in small towns. Thank you again.
