Guest Reviews
- Julian (10/5): - Hosts Gareth and Lara were very welcoming and helpful during our stay. We were greeted on arrival by their delightful daughter Olivia. The cooked breakfasts were excellently prepared and delicious. Our room and en suite bathroom was spotless and well laid out. The guest house is very convenient for walking down into the quayside but be aware it's quite a steep climb on the way back up!
- WING (9/5): We really enjoyed our stay and would return - Breakfast was nicely cooked and ingredients of good quality - room was clean tidy and warm with a super view - hosts were friendly and helpful with local knowledge - there is parking on site didnt realise we had booked the non ensuite room - there was a dedicated bathroom for ourselves which was lockable and a good size and well appointed and clean -
the parking is a bit tight but didnt cause a problem - the hill is a good workout for your legs!
- Nicky (10/5): Excellent all round, would stay again! - Gareth was a great and friendly host. The room was so clean and comfortable. Nothing
- Michelle (10/5): - Lovely clean place, friendly owners, excellent location (3 minute walk to the harbour) quiet location, village views, amazing breakfasts, parking, calm neutral furnishings. Nothing.
- tracey (10/5): Easter mini break - From arriving early and being able to check in we received a friendly welcome from Lara. Gareth was a great host at break each morning and thank you Lara for the lovely breakfast each morning.
The location was great to walk into Mevagiesy in minutes....a little slower on return as steep, as to be expected in Cornwall.
The room was very comfortable and facilities good. There was nothing not to like as perfect!

- Linda (10/5): Very nice stay. Very friendly and suited my needs for the two day stay. - I had a choice of various foods for breakfast. The service was good and friendly, very nice. The only thing that was a bit of a problem was the extremely steep climb from the village and harbour back to the Guest House (although I managed). I have no complaints about the Guest House, it was lovely.

Gareth and Lara are exceptional hosts. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We loved that there was tea and coffee and lovely biscuits in our room to enjoy at the end of a busy day exploring beautiful Cornwall. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options and made to serve fresh and hot. We also loved that we could walk down into the town area which was stunning. We would describe it as gorgeous and ‘Cornwall on a post card’. We were also fortunate to be there for Feast Week celebrations. It was our last day and the entertainment and fun atmosphere left us feeling very fortunate to have found this Cornish gem. We highly recommend staying at the stunning property. Absolutely nothing!

The room we had was very comfortable and always had a good night sleep.
- Roy (9/5): Superb - Very steep hill

- Margaret (8/5): Recommended for a short break - Lovely breakfast hot and plentiful Climbing back up the hill after dinner and a few drinks
- Neil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Geoffrey (9/5): Lovely Guest House - Worth a Visit - On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful Gareth who ran through absolutely everything with us and made sure we were happily settled in. The room was large and the bed was made to our request ie. double rather than 2 singles. We had our own bathroom which was good and a view to the front of the property. We were advised that all coffee, tea etc. would be refilled daily and should we require anymore at any point then we just needed to ask. The hosts lived in the property and were available at any time should they be needed. Gareth and Lara have children and a dog and I must say we never heard a thing from either, all very quiet :) Breakfast was fabulous and always served with a smile. The location of the property was easy to find and there is onsite parking. You are free to come and go at whatever time you like, there were no "curfews" so to speak as you had a front door key as well as a room key. The room was beautifully decorated. Good working shower. Heated towel rail and there was also a shaver point. No complaints from us really on anything other than a couple of little niggles which I will explain below....... Like I said not "don't likes" or complaints, just a couple of pointers which may be helpful. There was only one chair in the room, and I know you don't spend all day there since you are out and about, but when you are in, it would have been nice for both of us to be able to sit in a chair instead of on the bed. There was no full length mirror, just a small mirror on the wall and then the bathroom mirror - both of which are not ideal when you are getting ready to go out. One thing that I don't recall reading anywhere, and my apologies if I am wrong, is that although it is only a short walk down to the village - it is very steep indeed. Going down wasn't too bad but coming back was extremely difficult for us. Anyone with extreme health problems would struggle. Like I say though these are not complaints by any means, just observations on our behalf.
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Tracy (8/5): Definitely will book again - The location was as I expected for the area, so no shocks with the hills, breakfast was delicious, service was friendly, very clean, beds very comfortable. Maybe a covered bench at the front for us nasty smokers
- Janice (10/5): Exceptional - The lovely view, comfortable room, easy parking, good breakfasts, and friendly hosts.
- Frank (10/5): It was a pleasure to have stayed there. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast offered left plenty to choose from a - It was spotlessly clean. Excellent position above Mevagissey
Very spacious double bedroom with every facility available Absolutely Nothing
- Louise (10/5): Very comfortable and enjoyable stay, very welcoming couple and very organised. Excellent breakfast - Very comfortable stay, very quiet. Very helpful, and all needs were met, with lots of attention to detail in the rooms. Excellent breakfast. Good value for money
- Alastair (9/5): Pleasant area and good welcome - Outside area sit at for drinks etc Nice views
- Wyman (7/5): Very nice stay - Great host, very clean room, great breakfast. Our room was advertised as having a private bathroom. Unfortunately it was not en-suite as we assumed but across the hall.
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Nothing
- Anthony (10/5): It was our mini-moon and the stay at Tregorran made it great. The homeland never disappoints. - The property was clean and spacious and the hosts were superb. Especially Dot the super cute spaniel. Wasn’t quite prepared for the killer hill from the village to the property, but we overcame it, even with my cvd. Could’ve driven down and back each time but that’s just lazy.
- Alison (10/5): Very relaxing and great breakfasts - Location was great and with parking. An nice and short walk into Mevagissy
- Angela (8/5): Would definitely return - Location was very good, breakfast was excellent, hosts were lovely and welcoming Parking was a bit of a challenge

- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dirk (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent breakfast and very clean! Located at the edge of a picture perfect fishing village with a few good restaurants and pubs. A good starting point to discover the wider area.
- Colin (9/5): This is a superb B&B with lovely hosts, excellent service and lovely breakfast. - Lovely large room on ground floor with comfortable large bed. Excellent to have parking on site and only a few minutes walk down into the harbour (though remember steep on the way back!!). Shower temperature was a bit temperamental but no real issue and did not cause a problem

- Lynn (10/5): Exceptional - Peaceful location, Great breakfast , attentive host, beautifully clean Nothing
- Teresa (8/5): Very good -
- Lynne (10/5): Friendly warm accommodation - Clean, friendly, great breakfast all good Nothing
- Greg (8/5): Most enjoyable, smashing owners. - Good breakfast. Comfy facilities . Very helpful and friendly staff/owners. - Michelle (10/5): Just lovely, came away feeling happy and recharged. - Very lovely Breakfast, plenty of choice and Lara cooks the perfect pouched eggs everytime. The B & B was spotlessly clean, lovely onsuite bathroom and I slept really well every night of my stay. The B & B is perfect has a base to go off and explore Cornwall. Garth and Lara are lovely hosts and I was made to feel very welcome. It was perfect. I really enjoyed my stay and would happily book again when visiting the area.
- David (10/5): Excellent - Breakfast was excellent, location was brilliant Nothing
- Martin (9/5): Nice accommodation, nice people, beautiful place, I'd definitely stay here again ! - The room was really nice, breakfast was great with something for everyone. The value for money for room and breakfast was really good, especially in a half term week. The hosts were great and gave some good advice for places to eat etc and more than that, just nice people. I looked at a few places to stay around around this area, and as long as you're ok with a short but steep walk down to the village, this was the best. We didn't need to drive to the village for our evening meals which was great, but if you did, there's parking there. Of the 3 places I looked at in the area, I'm glad I picked this. Can't think of anything really.
- Darren (10/5): Tremendous Tregorran guest house 2024 - The whole experience from getting there on Saturday to leaving today was fabulous. If anyone wants to stay in Mevagissey, I highly recommend this guest house it has everything, even a steep hill, to climb. As for the food, breakfast was first class and plenty of food and drink places to eat . There was nothing to dislike.
- Nicky (9/5): Superb - The location was very central within Mevagissey, which is a very pretty village. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The hosts Gareth and Lara were super helpful and kind. Breakfast was very good and there was free parking.
