• Dan (8/5): Everything about Halls Gap was up to our expectations, if not above, for a Grampians holiday. - Centrally located for all Halls Gap services, restaurants, etc.. Operators extremely helpful with advice about attractions and activates in Halls Gap. Set in an restful and peaceful location. Is excellent for a 3 star motel. Nothing.

• Meghan (8/5): Nice place to stay in Halls Gap - Enjoyed our stay at this motel in Halls Gap. It was located just down the street from all of the restaurants (quick walk). Room was clean and comfortable. It was a bit too cold to sit outside during our stay, but there was a nice outdoor terrace and a firepit that faced a small pond with lots of birds and kangaroos! Wifi worked well, and the owner in reception was very friendly and helpful with providing information on various hikes to do in the Grampians. We only spent 2 nights here, but we did wish we stayed longer. It is a beautiful town in a beautiful part of the country.

• Richard (10/5): Excellent 1 night stopover - Very nice motel, room and bathroom were very clean. Staff were very helpful and supplied restaurant and activity options when we checked in. Good location only a short walk to restaurant options in the evening.Public outdoor seating area was really nice with a fire pit and BBQ facilities, lots of kangaroos and other wildlife to watch.

• Liz (9/5): Loved our stay - Staff were fantastic, friendly and accommodating. They offered great suggestions on where to go and what to eat and provided maps to each. The room was clean and comfortable. Fresh towels and glasses refreshed at request was lovely. The out door fire was lit by the owners each night which was a fantastic invitation to stay out and use the pergola and out door living area into the night. The views from the property were fantastic in every direction and the added bonus of wild life like wallabies and bird life right in the back yard just made it magic.

Some motels have a sink in the kitchen area. This one didn't. I made a suggestion to the motel owner that he might consider providing a cutting board for making sandwiches but he wasn't keen on that

• Carol (9/5): It was a relaxing place to return to after enjoying all the local hiking options. - Halls Gap Hotel is set in a beautiful location ( close to town) with a large back outdoor area for evening relaxation by a fire pit and BBQ and outdoor dining facilities. It overlooks wetlands with ducks, kangaroos, emus and lots of bird life to be seen in the distance.

• Helen (9/5): - This property is well-located within a short stroll to Halls Gap village. It is situated against a backdrop of spectacular beauty. The rooms were typically furnished and stocked consistent with good motel accomodation. The beds comfortable, and while we stayed amidst a short row of rooms, it was so Quiet. As you wonder down to the back of the property, you will find a few tables and chairs, and a fire pit that is lit by the owners each night. As you sit at any of the tables or fire pit, you will be greeted by picturesque countryside inhabited by the beloved native wildlife one hopes to see. On one night, we grabbed a takeaway pizza and bottle of wine and decided to have dinner at the property as twilight descended and it was so perfect to be accompanied by kangaroos, plenty of native birdlife, and a mob of emus wandering just beyond the property border. Just magical. The owners were lovely and super helpful with their advice about the various sights and popular walks. I liked everything.

• Ellen (9/5): A very nice lodging choice for visiting the Grampian. - The location is great! The shower is amongst one of the best in the hotels I have stayed in. They provide some very nice small touches such as plates and cutlery in case you want to eat in. They have a barbecue grill and a fire pit out door for the guests to use. The bathroom is a bit dated but the shower is great!

• John (10/5): Exceptional motel in a fantastic location. - A top notch motel. A very friendly welcome with plenty of suggestions re cafes, restauants and walks. Easy to find. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious and the motel was in an excellent location within easy reach of the town's facilities. There were great views and a lovely communal area including a BBQ, covered seating area and a fire pit with garden chairs and tables. Kangaroos on the lawn an entertaining bonus. Very friendly and helpful owners. Highly recommended. Nothing.
• H. (10/5): Top verblijf - warm aanbevolen. - Ik heb dit motel uitzonderlijk een 10 gegeven. De locatie is uitstekend, zou iedereen hier 2 nachten aanbevelen: de ligging in Halls Gap is top. Rustig gelegen, schone ruimte en het uitzicht met alle wildlife is geweldig. Gisteren bracht een vos alles in beweging: tientallen kaketoes vlogen over, 2 emoes dichtbij en zo’n 40-50 kangoeroes kwamen aangesprongen. Eigenaar is een zeer goede host, weet wat gastvrijheid is. Zeer positief. Eerlijk is eerlijk - het matras was wat minder (glijbaan naar het midden).

• Franziska (10/5): Sehr empfehlenswert - nette Gastgeber - wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! - Super tolle, nette Gastgeber die immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stehen. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Zudem konnten wir das BBQ vor Ort nutzen. Auch hier wurde alles an Equipment zur Verfügung gestellt. Ein Highlight ist der Garten. Hier haben wir jeden Morgen draußen mit Kängurus und Emus gefrühstückt. Die Unterkunft hat eine perfekte Lage für Ausflüge in den Nationalpark. Auch das Lagerfeuer am Abend ist sehr schön, wo unsere Tochter Marshmallows rösten konnte. Wir können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen die sicherlich zu einen der schönsten in Halls Gap gehört.

We saw kangaroos, deers, emus, numerous cockatoos, kookaburras, and colorful parrots! Our room was newly renovated and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Thanks to the hosts for the warm welcoming and recommendations. This place left one of the warmest and most atmospheric memories of our trip to Australia.

The bedding was crisp and clean, the staff made us feel right at home, the motel was centrally located, but the best part was watching the kangaroos and birdlife at sunset and during our morning breakfast. We only stayed one night, but could have stayed many more. It was a truly special and memorable experience!
