- steve1gjkkklbfgn (10/5): Great place to stay - I stayed in the bay la sun hotel for over a month while working in Saudi. This hotel is a great place to stay with lots of amenities. The rooms are kept well and all the staff are very welcoming, they also have an excellent massage therapist call Ronald who does a very good deep tissue sports massage. All in all this hotel was very good.

- GoPlaces36892355653 (10/5): The magic of people - The hotel staff is probably one of the best . When I wanted things I was not told by anyone “this is not my job”. Everyone was forthcoming All I had to do was to see someone with a name badge of hotel, make a request and done. Here are a few names … Hassan in banquet who ensured our meeting went smooth… he was there at 0745 and carried that energy and smile till 9pm. Also Mahmoud , he eventually knew I wanted fresh ginger tea very frequently. Like a magician he wud see me and make one for me Some more names Abdul Haq , Naushad , Rana, Mostapha, Rami , Zaheer and Naeem with rebeka. Special shout out to Arsalan ! Thanks for the multiplug and almost gifting it to me . I am sorry I forgot the names of the senior managera… just goes to prove how empowering they are and have developed their people Miss their magic now

- Abdullah (4/5): it’s the best way for them to improve. - the hotel staff will be attentive (or at least available when I need them) and courteous. Huge hotel no-nos for me consist of rude, unavailable, and/or disinterested staff, dirty linens and/or silverware, and poorly maintained bathrooms. I think that these are basic things that are easy to rectify!
- emadm1987 (10/5): A weekend getaway for my 1st anniversary, a 1 to remember for years to come. - I would like to take a moment and a few to write a review of a wonderful experience my wife and I had at Bay La Sun. To begin with, we had booked a room with a normal city view from the 14th to 16th July for our 1st anniversary, but due to an extreme rare problem that occurred within KAEC, the hotels and other offices had to shut down those 2 days and we had to return back to our city on the 14th itself. The judgement is not made on the mishaps that happens, but on how they handle the mishaps, the hotel manager Mr. Raed Aljahdali understood the significance of this matter and took care of us really well that he compensated us with a better package the following week from 20th - 22nd July which included a better view (sea and marine view), a honeymoon package, 4 games at the Bay la sun club and a late check out, all of it was free of cost with a variety of delicious breakfast. A very hospitable and a true gentleman who knows how to keep the respect intact of a 5 star hotel which Bay la sun is. Other than him, Mr. Hamza Alghamdi the receptionist, Mr. Feyaz Anver the supervisor of house keeping and Mr. Bachu the house keeping staff had given us a service of a very exceptional one. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting KAEC to stay at Bay La Sun and enjoy the services they give to their customers. Thank you Bay La Sun for a great weekend getaway and a great 1st anniversary my wife and I had.
- pumashan (10/5): Great property - Will love it!! - The property is outstanding and good as very good. The washrooms are large and convenient. What’s interesting is that the shampoo is like mercury ( texture wise) and conditioner was dark blue / purple .. very intertwine and worked very well .. interesting Very opulent property. But one of the two elevators didn’t wait two days we were in the hotel making waiting tor elevator longer than normal

- Hannah (10/5): - This was a lovely one-night stay and a lovely hotel. Clean and comfortable, with EXTREMELY nice staff and beautiful views of the Red Sea. There were only minor negatives, which means I wouldn't stay for more than a day or two, but it is fine for a short-term stay. First, it's located in a very beautiful area with absolutely nothing to do. This isn't the hotel's fault, the area never developed as planned. But the hotel itself has no amenities - they have a men's gym, but nothing for women. Since you're in the middle of nowhere, it would be nice to have a spa or lounge or something. If you do want to go to the small grocery store or limited nearby restaurants, the only transportation is an expensive hotel taxi, which can cost you about $100 for a mile or two. They also didn't have a coffee machine, which made it seem like a small motel rather than a 5-star hotel (they said the only way to get a coffee machine was to upgrade to an executive suite - weird in a modern expensive hotel). Finally, the bathroom had no fan or ventilation, so it stayed foggy and wet from our showers for the entire time we were there - if we opened the door it made the rest of the room foggy. This is fine for two days, but more than that and it would have been annoying. Other than these things, loved the experience. The food was absolutely delicious, much better than hotel food. Even though we stayed in Ramadan, the room service was fully available and great. Would stay again for a short term visit.

This time one of 2 elevators was out of service and seems it's been a while without repair(was told a piece was requested from Japan) so you can imagine having the hotel full with 1 elevator working! Rooms were clean and properly serviced. F&B was as always top especially when Abdo and Mary are there to take care of you. Check in and check out was seamless I always look forward to staying at the Bay La Sun!
- Scenic15935867615 (6/5): It’s a long way from anywhere - Not the easiest place to get to. Trains from the airport run intermittently and an uber ride is expensive. If you get the train- You still need to get a taxi to the hotel and they are not reliable. The hotel needs more elevators, especially if it’s busy. Restaurant food is repetitive but good and the staff are attentive, especially Abdo - thank you for the coffee! Reception staff struggled with English.
- MohammedHakim74 (8/5): Can't make up my mind - The hotel lobby was as beautiful as always, but only one elevator was available for the entire hotel as the other one was out of service. We were allowed to use the service staff elevator. The suite was refurbished with parquet floors and modern furniture. The room was sprayed with a great mist.The bed was comfortable, although i must disclose that we brought our own pillows because the hotel had no memory foam ones. The AC was amazingly good. The view was breathtaking, but there was a huge stain on the window that blurred the view. I thought it was there due to the humidity, but when it stayed there for 3 days, i came to the conclusion that it is not. The bathroom was huge and had all the necessary amenities. However, there were permanent stains at the bottom of the sink and in the bathtub. Needless to say, it did not get my approval. The in room dining was absolutely delicious and the food arrived warm. They also offered us to bring the appetizers first, then the main course. The restaurant was also delicious, and the general atmosphere and service were excellent. The staff in all departments were simply courteous, kind, and helpful. As you can see, there were so many great aspects to our stay. However, for the price we were paying, those little inconvenients should not have been there, especially in the bathroom.
- nfaden (4/5): Away below expectation - I chosed to visit KAEC and celebrate the National Day 92 in the city along with my whole family. I booked 4 rooms in hotel and was supposed to be included Breakfast & dinner as announced in instagram and confirmed while i booked through phone. However i discovered it wasnt include it. Eventhough front desk informed there will be. Also, my family and I were expecting some events to celebrate this occasion however there was no activities other than 10 mins in the lobby at 5 pm Unfortunatily, my experience in hotel and the poor KAEC was away below expectation and might be my last time to visit it.

Other than that, a very touristy place, a very fun and good budget place for families to have a good time, and this is a very good hotel I really recommend It, Just next time put In the pool rules "You have to wear a piece of clothing In the pool" and "Women have a specific place for swimming".

- Smiley-20162016 (2/5): ROOM SERVICE IS NOT WORKING 24H - Room service supposed to work 24h / 24h seems is not working at 1.30 am. Since 10 minutes I'm calling them in vain. I call the receptionist who promised to call Tham and call me back. Same thing no room service tonight. I guess my opinion will be read by managers and I'm waiting for their reply.

The team was accommodating and very friendly. The hotel has multiple restaurants and food was okay but would to see better variety. Overall, if you are planning to visit KAEC I totally recommend the hotel as a stay option
- 846adnank (8/5): A glimpse of past glory - We stayed at the bay la sun as part of a company event in the month of September, 2020. The bad: the carpets in the room seemed to be worn out and dirty. The showers were nice but leaky and the water pressure was low. The good: the staff are among the best assets of the hotel. All over from the luggage handlers, the receptionists, the organisers, to the restaurant staff. They were wonderfully gracious, courteous and knowledgeable. The activities room was a good value addition but i remember the virtual video shooting range had better equipment earlier. We also found the food served as part of the buffet service was well selected for most palettes, of high quality and also very tasty. The room service menu prices seemed reasonable but we never experienced it. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and we would consider going back provided the weather gets better.

- DorantJ (2/5): Terrible Reception Welcome - Disappointing experience at frondesk really need to train better and make assessment of the collaborators attitude. I had a very bad experience with a reception employee, who did not find my booking in the system. We were traveling 3 persons from the same Government entity MIM and the other 2 persons were ok, I ask the favor to do the check-in for me and the travel agency will fix the problem and call them to clarify the issue. What I received was a very bad reply and rude answers saying she cannot do that. Then I ask her to make a new check-in and eventually, the problem will be solved. She said we can do that but you have to pay now for the room, I answered her usually in all hotels the payment is at the checkout, again she refuses and answered me in a very rude tone "We don't do that you have to pay". I was very tired only looking to change the clothes and rest and had to wait until my agency called them explaining the payment was already done but the Hotel could not contact the person who confirms the payment, since she was not answering the phone. All this experience is totally unacceptable for a hotel like this. I feel responsible to share this with other potential customers and also did to the hotel customer service.

Housekeeping service is really terrible and badly need improvements .

- gwoods1 (2/5): Western women not welcome - We stayed in the hotel for a few nights midweek. The hotel is nice however it does NOT cater for western women. Nowhere on the website did I see written that women are NOT ALLOWED IN THE SWIMMING POOL and must remain covered at the poolside, but this is what we were told when we brought our kids for a swim. THIS IS CRAZY!!!! The day before we were on YAM beach and here women were free to wear whatever they choose be it bikinis, swimsuits or burkinis and they were most certainly allowed have a swim. Why would anybody go on a family holiday to a hotel which does not allow them the pleasure of enjoying activities with their kids??? Best advice for any Westerners wishing to holiday in KAEC is do not stay here.

- TAZNZBUG (4/5): Deceived look - Upon arrival .. no one to check the basic C19 Measured. Inattentive and rude door man with no respect to guests. Literally he ignored us and went back as if we requested nothing. AFter a few minutes and heading back in to check on the bellboy, he simply says “ It’s not my job” well if it’s not your job then do that job properly. Went to reception local guy who sent Immediately one of the staff to help. That was a relief. While heading out the same guy kept insisting not my job.. Helloo it is a hotel. Anyways, Dirty smelly smoking Rooms and hair everywhere. Side tables haven’t been cleaned. Remote controls sticky , telephone hasn’t been cleaned since openings maybe Toilet seat dirty It’s my check in.. maybe much more to come Not recommended as of now

After talking with them they gave me another room in the floor no. 3 but I was waiting them for 1 hour. In addition, the room view was bad. - MohammedHakim74 (2/5): What ever happened to the “Arabic hospitality” - I started staying at this hotel in 2015, and every year since then. It was always a luxury quiet and classy hotel. Sadly, last year, I decided to take my mother and members of my family with me. We booked 2 suites and 2 rooms. We were met by an impolite, stressed unprofessional and a straight out rude receptionist. Long story short, after a few hours of unpleasant waiting, we finally checked in. On check out after we were asked how our stay was, I expressed my frustration with the check in incident that we had so they were so apologetic and promised us the best treatment on our next visit. We were really excited this time, thinking we were going to get the royal treatment. However, nothing could be further from the truth. Although the receptionist this time was polite, professional and accommodating. Other than that, there were no positives. Apparently, the suite we were supposedly going to check-in needed to go under maintenance taking into consideration that before heading to the hotel I checked with them to make sure that it was ready and we were assured that it was and that as soon as we arrive we will be checked in, so I was really shocked that the suite was suddenly not available due to maintenance issues!! and we were offered a smoking suite as a solution. Given that my wife suffers from (Multiple Sclerosis) along with strong allergies and might suffer several problems due to secondhand smoke, I wasn't sure that such a solution would work for us but we gave it a chance and went to the room to check the smell. When we saw the suite, we almost choked from the strong smell of the air freshener that was used to cover up the smell of the smoke it's really a no brainer that a room which was allocated for smoker guests for many years will have a residue of such smell and no quick fix will mask such smell even if it did for a short while. When we told them that the smell was there they insisted that there was no smoke smell and that they have checked it themselves!, but from past experience, I knew that when the smell of the air freshener wares off, the real smell of years and years of smoke would appear, but either way, the smell of the air freshener was horribly strong. That was when they offered us to check out the View Hotel. We had to pack our bags and go, without any escort, supposedly someone would be waiting for us there. I say supposedly because that never actually happened. We asked the receptionist to call the person we were supposed to meet, after half an hour, we asked him where the person was, and he said that he tried to call him but the line was busy and that he forgot to call him again because he had other guests. 15 minutes later, the person that we were supposed to meet came and called the bellboy and asked him to show us the one bedroom suite. It was not to our liking. When we came back, we told that person who was still waiting, that we did not like it and when we called the hotel and told them that we didn't like the room we asked them if the problem in the suite that we were supposed to check in and was ready as they told us before heading to the hotel would be fixed anytime soon because we are willing to wait, we were told that it will not be available today based on that we told them that in this case sadly we will go back home and their response was "as you like and if you like we can make a future reservation for you and that we will make it up to you!". Thank God that it was just my wife and I and that we were able to drive home. The thought of subjecting my mother through this suffering or going to an airport to fly home, terrorizes me. Not to mention, throughout this excruciating two and a half hours we never heard the word sorry or someone even cared to come and meet us in person to apologies for what happened, we were not even offered a glass of water. Whatever happened to the so-called “Arabic hospitality”. We had to stop by a grocery store and buy water as we were exhausted. four days has passed, and we have not even received any apology or even just a simple phone call. As far as my wife is concerned, she will never consider staying at this hotel again. As for me I always thought that I was a loyal client that was looked after but sadly I was treated less than a stranger!

- Mohammed (8/5): Good - The hotel is brand new hotel. Available underground parking. Most of the staff are helpful. The receptionists need more training to deal with the guests in a proper way and up to the hotel level. The room is comfortable. The room was clean but the towels were not. Unfortunately the noise from the phones in the reception is audible inside the room. There are multiple joyful activities within walking distance from the hotel. The swimming pool is in a good condition.

- Azza (2/5): Worst check in experience ever - Bay la sun is the only hotel in KAEC,I had to do business there,and brought my family with me. We booked through hotels.com,for payment upon check in as the only option.First sign of trouble was when they sent a message that they needed to charge the first night,and that they needed another card??I contacted them and cleared the issue with reservations. When we arrived,the reception said that the previous rate does not apply,and that we should pay a hefty extra charge because it is a season!!Although our booking clearly said price match guaranteed.ALSO the breakfast inclusion is for adults only and the kids are extra charge!! When the night manger finally came, he and the receptionist spoke in their native tongue,which we found to be very unprofessional,you either speak in the local language or in English. After 50 minutes of waiting in the lobby,with 2 sleepy kids,we were finally allowed to go to our rooms. Only after I showed them the email that I sent to hotels.com customer service!If we only knew that that was all it took! The hotel itself is modern and clean, not a beachfront hotel as we expected,about 20-30 minutes on foot.Has a small gym for ladies,full gym,swimming pool,and a spa for gentleman.The breakfast is decent, we tried the dinner once,good choices,and nice staff. The only complaint about the property is that it is a 7 story building,with 2 small elevators only.One broke down on our last day, and we got stuck it with one staff, who got us out.

The lighting was very low in the room and the rooms are not sound proof.I did not know that the hotel has a free valet service untill I cheked out. Otherwise everything was great.

There is a generator located near the hotel and there is a constant droning noise all night. The noise does not stop all night long. I had to wear earplugs and still I heard it. I moved rooms three times but it was as bad in every room. If you want to get a good nights sleep I would not go to this hotel.
