• Liesbeth (9/5): Veilig en aangenaam - Gelegen in veilige regio in Johannesburg , personeel zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Goed en betaalbaar ontbijt. Perfect als je een aantal musea in Johannesburg wil bezoeken (bv zeer dichtbij Liliesleaf Farm). Ook ideaal als je op doorreis bent en 1 nacht in de stad doorbrengt. Door de ligging in een stad is er geen tuin of zwembad. En voor de alleenreiziger: er heerst geen hostel vibe. Dit doet er echter niks af aan de kwaliteit van het hotel!

There is a shopping centre close by One of the ladies was not too friendly during breakfast where she was telling me to hurry up because they were about to close. The beans were finished and she didn't bother to ask if I needed her to make a plan. The spoons were short and I had to use a teaspoon for desert. That did not seem to bother her as I was going around the tables to look for a spoon!

• Suzette (4/5): - The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and well maintained. A small suggestion would be to consider adding mini fridges in the rooms to keep beverages cold, which would enhance the overall guest experience. On the evening of 22 April, another guest was extremely disruptive at the lodge, shouting and screaming throughout the night. This woke me up, and I can only imagine how it affected the guests in the surrounding rooms. The experience was absolutely unacceptable and very unpleasant. I believe the situation should have been addressed by staff or security at the time, and appropriate action should have been taken.

• e3a270e0dc5d71d52fa8df8d76222c28 (6/5): Not worth the savings - Clean in a nice area The card didn’t open the door , instead of someone saying we will change your room , they instead told my dad that he has to insert the card a number of times and it goes green and the man further says , look even my card . I said no that’s no nonsense fix the door . They called someone else and he said you just have to be patient and do it a number of times and it will open . After which the door got stuck and I had to go tell the reception I’m not happy and demand the room gets changed . Definetly not letting my dad stay there again

• Ndebele (5/5): The area is very good, nice and private. - The place and area is very good. The aircon not working, tissue holder not working, less towels, no body creams. Pest control is needed.
• Keizah (3/5): An expensive accomodation, with too little security presence, unfriendly and unhelpful staff - The area is good and the security at the entrance are incredibly friendly/ At 2am in the morning, a man knocked loudly on my door, and pulled the doorknob trying to enter my room. I called security and apparently the guy had forgotten his room number - it was a terrifying experience and horrible to be awoken by that at 2am in the morning. There is no room service, despite the scan cards in the room stating that there is - I was told to come downstairs to place my order and collect my food. The staff are not friendly and are unhelpful and do not listen - they refused to give me a glass of milk. They watched how I struggled to carry my luggage and computer monitors up the flights of stairs, from my car as there is no elevator - no one offered to help. I paid a total of almost two thousand right for two nights - it was definitely not worth it.

• Andile (5/5): I had an okay stay. - The stuff was exceptionally amazing.They all had great positive attitude and they were helpful in all kinds of ways.The location is perfect. I didn’t like the fact that the TVs are too small and they don’t have good platforms of entertainment like Netflix,showmax or YouTube.There was no fridge as well in the room and no phone for better communication with the front desk just incase we have inquiries or requests Or reports to make.

I had a 2nd floor room - but it was alongside a busy road... so not so great if I opened the window wide...

• Mohamed Yunus (5/5): My expetation were high. Early in the days back, i utilised City Lodge and road lodge for my busine - We arrived quite late . Being tired from our journey , it would have been too much for us to move to another room had we reported the ff; immediatley. The toilet door was not closing. Was extremely diffucult to open and close the door. The shower door did not close properly even after it was reported to you. The room should be checked throughly by........... Before allocating avaibility on your system. 😠
• Jeanine (1/5): From a Favourite to a never again - Friday night was absolutely painful - i could sleep for one hour only!! The noise was unbearable the rooms on the second floor were making loud music until early hours, the doors were slamming the whole time , there must have been a group of guests they were shouting from one room to another - calling each other, then screaming shouting - it was painfully bad!!!! Worst experience ever!!!!
