- Mette (10/5): -
- Aija Lāce (8/5): - Very rich and tasty brekafast and dinner. Onsen includes bath inside and outside.
Bella camera, personale in reception parla ottimo inglese .
- Kunitoshi (8/5): -
- Jia Ying (9/5): - The location, views and services are perfect no
- Tommaso (6/5): - Onsen Bed unconfortable.
They did warn the hotel was closing the next morning for refurbishment so we could not keep the luggage there and visit the lake.
The dinner was disappointing.
- Jun An Lau (8/5): - Buffet is very good with plenty of selection but have to book preferable slots in advance cuz dining place is relatively small but still comfortable and enough space for guests. Room is clean , bed is ok but space is relatively small but still better than those business hotel. Easy access if driving ,plenty of car park space. Both outdoor and indoor onsen is not very big. I met a local guest which didn't even take a shower but entered onsen immediately. First time I witnessed a local guest that totally ignore onsen rule. It really surprised me

- Melinda (10/5): -
- Sandra (10/5): We loved it! - It was our first experience of an onsen and we were made to feel extremely welcome. We had beautiful views of the lake from our bedroom and the food was delicious. There were no negatives.
- danielle eini (6/5): - Ther was a broblem with the address.
The adress took us to a different place
- Yash (10/5): Exceptional - Property was very spacious and facilities were great. Easy to spot on the road down and good location but still being a bit out of the way. Would recommend!!
- Veronika (8/5): Good value for money, great breakfast and dinner - The hotel is in great location, away from the city crowds, but within walkable distance to Motohakone or few minutes from the bus stop to Hakone.
The traditional Ryokan stay was a great experience for us and it was an awesome start to our holiday in Japan.
Great view on the woodlands behind. Would benefit with bathroom refurbishment and tidying at the back
- Geok (9/5): Superb - Free parking, nice outdoor onsen, free flow Sake which provide very conducive environment for after dinner chatting. NIL
- Agatha (9/5): Superb - Food and service is great!
It's best to drop-off from one bus station before the hotel otherwise you have to walk up the hill for about 10 minutes with your luggage.
- Teck (8/5): Very good -
- Russell (5/5): Passable - Lovely staff and location and food experience. Wine included in dinner and tea coffee etc available in foyer all day.
However our room was perishingly cold with constant icy wind leaking through window. The bed was uncomfortable causing muscle aches and we really struggled to turn taps off in bathroom. The room heater was very poor.
- Tatjana (9/5): Superb -
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Prayong (9/5): Superb -
- Gov (7/5): Nice hotel with a car rental - The room was spacious and the hotel has free parking. The hotel is located in an awkward location so you must have a car for comfortable access to the attractions.
- Dana (10/5): Staff officer great service, super helpful! - Great hotel with beautiful views.
- Gatis (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Grazia (8/5): perfect and authentic - Spotless, easy to find and very kind and attentive staff.
- Pratima (7/5): It was great value for money and the food was sensational - The meals were included and so were drinks. Had an onset which was lovely It was a tradition style room so the futon bed was not the greatest. Staff were accommodating when we decided the bed wasn’t for us and charged us only for 1 night when we had booked for 3
- Gillian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ang (8/5): Very good -
- Elizabeth (1/5): Bad - Couldn’t provide dinner day of. Original room given was very outdated.
- Maria (10/5): Friendly staff, sumptuous food, very nice stay - Suda kun, the attending person when we checked in, was so kind he offered to accompany us to the bus station when we lost one of our bags. The room is nice, the food at buffet and during breakfast were sumptuous, and staff are friendly. Location is not ideal for older people since there's a long walk from the station, and the walk is uphill then downhill.
- Ba (7/5): Good -
- Brogan (10/5): Fantastic place, could not recommend more highly. - Hotel has its own private onsen. Amazing room, very cozy, calm and welcoming vibe, fantastic staff. Close to Lake Ashi. Hotel can be slightly difficult to find via public transport; have to walk on the main road to get to the hotel from closest bus stop.
- Carolina (7/5): Good - The room was bright and bigger than average in Japan. The hotel is 30 minutes walking from restaurants and buses stop running too early. With bad weather it’s dangerous to walk on the road as there’s no pedestrian path.
- Wilson (8/5): Comfortable stay and good breakfast - Free snacks and drinks in the lobby. Good breakfast. Nil
- - (7/5): Good -
- Ifrah (7/5): Great onsen but out of the way if not driving and food isn't great - I really liked the onsen, especially the one that was outdoors. It was worth it to be able to try an onsen which is why I booked this hotel. I liked the tatami room and the yukata that were provided. The staff were very friendly, some were quite fluent in English. I did not like the food options that were available. I don't eat pork so I could not eat the dinner, only the buffet that was provided. Most of the food was cold. The location is difficult to reach without a car as there is no sidewalk leading up to the hotel and it can be very dark at night.
- Emsea42 (8/5): In the middle of nature - This hotel is in the middle of nowhere, about a half hour walk to the village (going down the mountain, so plan going up when you come back :)), so it was very, very calm, only the sounds of nature. The traditional interior and exterior onsen were really appreciated, although the hours to have access were limited (6 to 9 in the morning and 3pm to midnight). I liked the vintage look (no major renovations in the last 50 years I think). The bathroom was like something you would find on a trailer, like a plastic box, it was clearly added. There was a 1 foot step to get in the bathroom itself, but it worked ok and there was hot water.
- Ruby (8/5): Very good - Location When The reception let us pay extra 300 yen per night even we are not using the spring inside the property they said it's mandatory to pay.
- Simon (7/5): Good -
- Cheeming (8/5): Very good - Clean and friendly. A bit far away from public bus stop.
- Eric (5/5): Very expensive for an old hotel, poorly located. - The room was not clean. The hotel is old. The carpet in the corridor was damaged. Pictures on Instagram are nice but the reality is really different.
Breakfast is basic. Very expensive for this level of quality.
- Harriet (10/5): Exceptional - Good location, very good breakfast, free Onsen, helpful staff
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Jun (7/5): Good -
- Yeekiu (8/5): Very good - Toilet so small and hope that could be renew
- Agustin (3/5): Not worth it. - The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room smelled bad, the beds are super hard and the bathroom is very old. On top of this, the “onsens” were in very bad conditions.
- Yadanar (6/5): Pleasant -
- Svetlana (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staff, very good breakfast, onsen Nothing
- Iain (9/5): Superb -
- Natalia (8/5): Very good - Quiet area however it's next to main route.
Close to the lake.
Good breakfast served.
They have onsen however I didn't try it.
They have small minibar at the reception and parking around property. Hotel is a bit old and beds are uncomfortable.
In our room we have well used sofa bed ,rather for decoration then for use ;)
- Yigal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kimberley (10/5): Exceptional - we loved the Japanese style room, the view was absolutely beautiful! friendly staff nothing we didn’t like
- Anatoli (9/5): Superb -
- Alison (10/5): Relaxing, I will stay here again when I come next time. - Staff was very friendly, they let us to leave luggage early and helped us with bus instructions in English. Room is bigger than many to others hotels we stay in Japan. It is a old building, but well maintained and good value. The onsen is small, but it was exactly what the pictures showed and it was good to have a onsen in the hotel for that price we paid. The breakfast is amazing. It had occidental option like cofee, milk, cereal and eggs, but also Japanese options like rice, nori, green tea, grilled fish. The background usic is great, making a perfect relaxing environment. Location. It was 8 min from the bus stop and in a hill. At first we did not know the best option was to get out one stop before the hotel and go down with luggage and we when to the next stop, which at the time was close and we needed to go 2 stops up the hill, which luggage was a hell. I don't remember if was that instruction on how to get there in the booking pictures, maybe it was there but a reminder of which bus stop to get off by email would be appreciated it.
- Laurie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kheng (8/5): Very good - Breakfast and dinner is nice. It come with free flow of wine and alcohol. Nil
- John (8/5): Very good -
