• Nancy J (5/5): - I was able to get a cabin. Room smelled stale due to previous smokers. Shower curtain rod on floor of tub. Ants on.the bed. People in neighboring cabin had loud music playing for a few minutes at 2 a.m. Bed uncomfortable, couldn't sleep well so left at 5:40 a.m.

• Tetiana Vorokhta (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay at Brookside Motel. My room had a small balcony overlooking a peaceful stream — it was so relaxing to fall asleep to the sound of the water. The bed was very comfortable, everything was clean and cozy, and the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. You can feel the care and attention of the owners. I would gladly stay here again! Minus: There was no available outlet near the coffee maker, and the cord was quite short — a bit inconvenient in the morning.

• Stephen (8/5): - Very quaint Adirondack cabin, a harken back to 1960’s family vacations, nice setting in Lake George village. Not ce alternative to higher priced fall foliage hotels. Good off-season highway access. Clean & cozy, but also needs attention - headboard fell off the bed when plugging into the wall, sink drain very slow, missing lightbulbs, bathroom floor & drapes could be replaced. Outside areas look nice.

There are many hotels in the area but the closeness to everything was very convenient. The beds. This place is too convenient for the beds to be so horrible. It took my family three entire days to recover from the back pain.

When we talked to the manager and told them we couldn't stay in the room, he said that they just had the carpet cleaned and it was still wet. They did give us another room, but it was a downgraded room (not as many amenities. It didn't have the kitchenette I had wanted the room for.

Comfy new mattresses and updated bathroom….cozy and attractive property with places to enjoy the babbling brook and bbq. Pool looked great but we didn’t get a chance to try it. Still has old-school charm without the rough edges that a lot of seasonal-town resorts tend to have. Noce pool, too.

• Elaine (8/5): - It was fine for the price. It was clean with a nice clean pool. Our bathroom walls could use some repair and a coat of paint but sink and toilet were new and clean. Shower/tub wasn't new but was clean and functional. Personally, I wouldn't prepare food in the kitchen because it is like an old cabin kitchen and not very appealing. I did borrow a knife from in there for my peanut butter. Very nice owners and staff - right off route 87. 5 minutes from Lake George village/lake. Our room (#2) had a deck overlooking the brook and sitting out there was very pleasant.

Some bugs in the room, but that’s expected when it’s so close to the woods. Bed was comfy. Was very dry in the room, but overall it was a decent stay. I would most likely stay here again.

We appreciated the extra coffee packets. We liked the feeling of being in the woods near the brook, though the main street was a short distance away. The person in the office was very friendly and accommodating. The table and railings of the porch need to be cleaned! Still, not a deal-breaker. We enjoyed our coffee sitting out there in the morning.

• Morgan (7/5): Good - Good Location, Quiet Place and Nice staff. The rooms were clean. The shower curtain did not reach the tub so it did leak some on the floor. I don’t feel there was enough towels provided and there was no extra bedding or pillows.
• James (8/5): - If you don’t want to spend a lot of money for lodging and just want to have more money for activities in Lake George, this is the place to stay. The accommodations are satisfactory…you will have to share a kitchen, but for the money this is a good option. Lake George is expensive and if you’re the type of person that will only be in their room to sleep or change clothes, this place is an excellent choice. It’s not the Mariot, but it’s great for the budget conscious. For what it is, I’d give it 7.9 out of 10.

• Karen (9/5): Secluded summer getaway - Cute and quiet! Just outside of town. Cabins are perfect for a couples getaway. They keep making improvements every year. Love the brook! Friendly owners and staff. Small pool good for a dip if there aren't too many kids jumping in, but it gets crowded quickly. Picnic tables, BBQ grills, and shared kitchen space available on site. Love this place. But a bigger pool would be AWESOME. I can say that about any pool though.

• Robin (10/5): Very enjoyable stay - Comfortable, clean and friendly staff. It’s an older motel but the price was right. Pool and grounds lovely. And not to forget, the shuttle stops right at the motel and it’s only a $1 pp. to take you into the village, Bolton Landing, or Glens Falls. So convenient however you can walk into town which takes about 15 minutes. Also Number 1 pizza is right across the street 😋 We couldn’t stay longer.

Ive stayed at this property in the past and a brookside deck has been added which was nice,but due to rain and cold, couldn't be fully enjoyed. The only real issue was that our reservation was for a king bed, and we were given two double beds. Meaning my wife and i had to sleep in separate beds. I could understand if they were at capacity, but they definitely were not. With that said, we'd likely stay here again and would probably recommend this property to others.
