Edgardo (2/5): - While I don't typically complain, my experience at La Kinta Riverfront was extremely disappointing. Despite a nice lobby, the Deluxe King room we paid extra for was far from deluxe. The carpets were stained. Furniture was in poor condition, with ripped leather on the bed frame and a beat-up coffee table. The bathroom lacked the promised rainfall shower head fixture as the handle was broken and had rusty tiles. The safe didn't work, the WiFi was unreliable, and the TV had poor quality. Even the glass cups were dirty. The bedside buttons didn't work, and one fell off the wall. The only positive was the cold AC. We stayed only because we were exhausted from traveling. We planned two nights but left after one, opting for a nicer hotel elsewhere. Save yourself the trouble and money—avoid staying here. Room 14-09, February 19, 2024.
Thiew Kheng (8/5): - The superior king size bedroom we stayed in is spacious and the air-cond is cold enough. The mattress is hard, find it very uncomfortable to sleep on, the quilt is too thin, the toilet bowl cover is spoilt. There is no hand towel provided. The location is a bit far out fr the town. You need a car or call e-hailing for that matter.
Steve (4/5): - The breakfast was great as were the staff at breakfast, but that was about the only good thing about the place. The room was old, the window did not close properly, we needed to call three times to get towels delivered. The page for this hotel says the rooms are soundproof and that it has two pools. Neither is accurate. There is one pool, we were kept awake by a noisy party on a lower floor and could hear people in the corridor. For the same price or less, there are better options in Ipoh.

Reception seems don't bother to call back to check & they should learn basic hospitality to offer the guest instead of waiting for guest to demand for something.
VIMALESWARAN (2/5): - Very poor WiFi connection. No WiFi in the apartment. Breakfast buffet was not good. Room service was horrible. Overall its an expensive hotel but the facilities are limited.

Naraseeni (2/5): - To those who are reading the review before taking the decision to reserve this property, I would not recommend it unless the property had major refurbishment after this review posting date. The Staff: I hope they can be more approachable and welcome. This is a four-star hotel, thus I expect someone would greet me upon entry, guide me to the reception counter, and offer assistance with luggage. Room Condition: I can hear a spring noise each time I turn around, and the pillow smells like someone drooling, the door lock mechanism is hard to double lock. The room definitely does not give me a 4-star feeling. The Breakfast: This is by far the best part of my stay. The restaurant ambiance is nice and they have two sections AC and Non AC. Their food variety is unique and something that you won't normally see in other hotels. Their F&B Team is great as well. They are quick in replenishing food / clearing the table and approachable. I would return there for coffee and breakfast. A big no for stay tho.

John (6/5): Lacks maintenance. - Great staff let down by maintenance and care. There are lots of defects: the elevators card security system is disconnected, the gym is a dangerous joke (even the half filled weights rack is assembled incorrectly). In our room the clearly damaged safe only worked while forcing it shut while locking, a light switch dangled out of its socket, the shower selected was locked solid. The smart electrical controls in the room looked OK but let down by lack of charging points.
Kenny Wai Chong (2/5): Excellent service from staff - Mira, Hotel Manager is extremely helpful and also the concierge Mindser service is really great. However all their effort are in vain because the hotel facilities are run down - broken doors, shower kits not working with black tapes wrapped around, stained carpets, dirty Lobby toilets, etc Would highly recommend the hotel owner and management to renovate the hotel otherwise more of their long time customers will look elsewhere to stay when they are in town.

Verified traveler (2/5): Not a very pleasant stay. - Property was good, the service and facilities was terrible, we had a serviced apartment which didn't come with cutleries and microiwave, fridge was poorly cleaned. We had to make a couple of requests to ensure our requirements were met. Cleaners came in, but poor cleaning job was carried out. Breakfast options were limited with handful of staff. A lot of improvement is required in this property and facilities.

Room was nice and spacious and good house keeping service. Furniture a bit old but all still in good condition. Pool was very small which was no fun at all. Breakfast food was lovely. Wide range of choices and lovely place to have breakfast at the balcony outside. Great way to start your day.

Jocelyn (8/5): Spacious rooms make for excellent value for money - The hotel is slightly in need of renovation, but, all in all, is excellent value for money. Our room was enormous, with a very spacious bathroom. The king-size bed was spacious and the large quantity of toiletries much appreciated The lighting system was a bit confusing - simple switches work better, and the room a bit dim, but this was not a big issue. The staff were helpful and efficient. The choice of restaurants was a bit limited, and our dinner food disappointing, but the breakfast buffet is generous.

The breakfast has improved a lot in terms of varieties and taste. However, housekeeping and maintenance team must work hand in hand to ensure that all the things in the room are in good condition.

Room had a bit of smoking smell, even though it was supposed to be a smoke-free room. 24 hours convenience shop is within hotel premise, so very easy to get items when necessary. Swimming pool is a bit small. The elevator is very slow though.

ARAH (8/5): - The hotel provided me with a large room and a good view of the landscape across the river. It was comfortable and the elevators are fast. The counter staff are also very friendly and helpful, providing suggestions where I could find places to eat nearby, which was not many. The surroundings are quiet but not easy to find places to eat. There is a 7-11 downstairs which is convenient. There is one major problem. I stayed in room 601. Where the carpet meets the floor tiles, there is a few sharp extrusions through the carpet, presumably the "staples" or pins that keep the carpet in position. There is no strip of protecting take or timber that prevents these extrusions. Although they do not pierce the feet deep, it is still dangerous for children in particular. I have to make a conscious attempt to step over the carpet-tiles boundary to avoid the extrusions, which gets tiring after a while.

Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel to stay in Ipoh - Nice and quiet hotel with a good view of its surrounding. It deserves its 4-star rating. The service is impeccable. Just about everything in the room works -- bath water drains properly; the aircon is cold; no problem with the kettle, hair dryer, iron, refrigerator and safe. Wi-fi speed and signal strength are acceptable. It will be great if there are bedside electrical sockets. It is a bit unusual that there are none. One thing to note is that there are only a couple or so of TV channels.

My friend reported to the office/reception of the following problem: A) 3 doors access card could not work @ family suite: B) air con not cold C) flood at the bathing area that caused a mess outside the affected area. For (A) & (B) - immediate attention were given For (C), despite 2 rounds feedback, the problem was not resolved; luckily we stayed out the entire day & left home on day 3.

Initial impression, we were very satisfied with the amenities provided - place looked clean, everything was in order. Would not have hesitated to stay again or recommend to others, I thought. But after one night's sleep (or lack thereof!) we were exhausted and struggled through the rest of our day! The mattresses were far too hard and everyone's back ached! Definitely not elderly friendly. Also, everyone had bug bites that itched for days. Would never book again! What a pity..

To be honest the whole room itself needs a re-make over. The amenities are very limited. The WIFI couldn’t be connected in the room we stayed at. Even got one of the staff to come up and tried to connect the wifi for us. Didn’t work, he said he was gonna get the IT to restart the router but that didn’t fix it anything.

Safety is a big concern as we may be electricuted by the faulty switch.

Kid Mei (2/5): Bad service and dirty room - We booked a executive suite for 2 night for 2 adults and 2 kids. Was mentioned in the reservation that extra bed or rollaway bed is available. Upon the checkin, we will told by the reception that additional bed is no longer available for free and each bed will need to charge RM90 per night. Furthermore, when we asked for additional blanket, hotel staff told us is not available. Finally next day, hotel staff sent us extra blanket, which is a dirty and broken one. Can't believe this happened to a 4 star hotel!

Abdus (8/5): - The executive suite room is huge. The bed is big and the living room is comfortable and roomy. Two toilets and the sizes are huge. Breakfast provided is worth the price with a lot of local fruits such as papaya, watermelon, honeydew and salads. They also provide many containers of biscuits, good for kids. Coffee machine is excellent with fresh coffee grind making the coffee taste and smell so yummy. Highly recommended for family to have relax mode of holiday. The hotel also is very close to a few local restaurants, such as Nasi Ganja, Pakeeza, and Hadramaut Paradise is just 100 meter away.
Verified traveler (6/5): - Upon checking, staff Nurul was helpful with all my check-in details. Moving up to the room, found only 2 pieces of wooden hangers in the wardrobe; and bath toilet was torn with holes. During my stay, the internet connection in the room was poor and slow. Housekeeping replenish the amenities was not in order. One day can miss out dhower gel, another can miss out the toilet roll. Overall my stay at Kinta was a so-do experience. Will not stay again unless they have make some improvements in these area.

Verified traveler (6/5): - The apartment need to be upgraded. The towels badly need to ne replaced. It is so bad like a ragged. The bathrooms need to be upgraded, the bath tub need to have a shower curtain, the hole got stuck need to call the housekeeping to open it, the other room, the shower cubicle too small keep banginb to the glass cubicle. Toilet papers not allocated in one of the bath rooms.
Michel (8/5): Nice hotel for a day or two 😀 - Was more appealing from the net . The area is not so good as I expected. To far from restaurants and shops . The river??? Filthy and smelly ! River walk , I don't think so. The hotel itself was good with nice breakfasts .

Verified traveler (8/5): - I liked the coffee house where I went for breakfast. It was spacious. Guests could go out onto the terrace to enjoy the view. The view was splendid - 270 degree view from the limestone hills, the river front to the city. Apart from the usual fare, I liked the biscuit station. It brought back childhood memories of the biscuits I ate when I was a child.
