• tfE7389 (10/5): One of the best places to stay in Vail! - Wonderful stay at the Galatyn Lodge! Love the location on the edge of town, and closer to Betty Ford gardens. The Lodge is very clean, quiet, and a great place if you're travelling with your pet. Our lodge room was very clean and comfortable. Josh and Jody at the front desk are incredibly helpful, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed for our short weekend trip. We've stayed at a lot of places in Vail, and the Galatyn is the best. Will definitely be staying here again!
• G (10/5): What a fantastic place! - We had a fantastic stay at this hotel, which is perfectly located in the heart of Vail! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, setting the tone for our entire trip. Our room was beautiful, spotless, and perfectly accommodated to our needs. The bed was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the view out of the large window overlooking the pool. The heated pool was a great place to relax the quiet afternoon away. The staff were also very accommodating when it came to parking - once we had parked, we were just steps away from exploring all that Vail has to offer. One of the best things about this hotel is its central location, putting us steps away from Vail's pedestrian area. We left the car behind as we could easily walk anywhere we wanted to enjoy. We can't wait to return!

The coffee maker didn't work, and there was only 1 very small trash can. There was no mini-fridge to put food in...which, when they don't serve breakfast, or any food, is a problem.

The lodge was an easy walk to that as well as downtown. Had close grassy/walk areas for my dog. Probably the only thing I wished for was a fridge and microwave in the room for quick meals/snack.
• Andrew (9/5): Loved it, would recommend to anyone! - We went for Oktoberfest, it was really accessible to the festival, it housed our group comfortably, the amenities were nice like the pool. The automatic opening door in the parking garage is very helpful carrying your stuff in. Was a little hard to see from the road, had to circle around. Pool only open until 9 in the summer despite being heated. Most places are 10pm.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Will Stay Again - Highly recommend staying at the Galatyn Lodge. More private/less crowded than the other options yet still right in Vail Village. Heated pool is basically a huge hot tub, ski locker very convenient for storing gear, quick walk to Gondola One. Can walk everywhere from the lodge as it's directly in Vail Village near all the shops and restaurants - we didn't touch the car until we left which was stored safely and easily in the underground garage. Employees were super friendly and helpful - can not say enough about the staff. Room itself was cozy and the bed was extremely comfortable. We checked out Sunday morning but had plans to ski so the staff let us keep our car in the garage, our gear in the ski locker and even gave us a pass to go to an awesome spa/locker room to shower and clean up after skiing/before our drive home. If you like a large hotel feel with a big lobby that has a bar and lots of people, this is not for you, but if you prefer a more secluded, quiet, luxury, easy experience and value convenience and comfort over all else, the Galatyn Lodge is perfect for you. Might regret writing this review if the Galatyn gets more popular and is full all winter! Without a doubt will book Galatyn Lodge for my next trip to Vail.

• laurensD9402NC (10/5): Perfect Lodge in Vail - We had a great experience with the Galatyn and cannot recommend it enough. I’m a clean freak and this was by far the cleanest lodge/hotel that I’ve ever stayed in. The bedding is luxurious and the lodge rooms are big yet cozy. All the staff at the lodge go out of their way to help you. Also ski lockers are very convenient and come with lip balm, granola bars, hand warmers, and tissue! Pool is heated and perfect for a night after skiing. An easy walk to everything in the village. We will absolutely be back here! Also, if you love croissants, highly recommend grabbing some from Larkspur at golden peak (5 minute walk from the Galatyn). We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay, we will be back!
• Is_brea_taisteal (8/5): Loved Almost Everything Except Location Not Great for Sleeping - We loved so many things about this hotel: * the friendly staff seemed to genuinely care that we were having a good time and were eager to help; * the ski lockers were perfect for two people and we loved the supplies they provided (hand warmers, sunscreen, vents to heat our boots; snacks); * the bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was spacious; * the water pressure and hot water in the bathroom was awesome; * it was an easy walk to/from Gondola One; * the afternoon snacks were fantastic (oreos, nutter butters, milanos); * while everything is walkable, there is a bus stop right outside the hotel if you don't want to walk; and * easy parking right underneath the building. However, the hotel is surrounded on 3 sides by roads and every night we were there, between 3-6am, there were multiple loud vehicles that interrupted our sleep: garbage trucks, snowplows and who knows what else. It was basically 2-3 hours of intermittent sleep, which was exhausting (it was quiet in the afternoons for naps). We loved our stay but -- through no fault of the hotel -- probably wouldn't stay again because of the noise, though I'm not sure we can avoid it elsewhere (it seems possible in the middle of the village).
• Verified traveler (10/5): Everything is perfect! - The Galatyn Lodge was simply the best place I have stayed at during a ski trip. The place is clean, very organized, and the location is perfect. It is almost ski-in/ski-out (within one block). Also, there is a bus stop right in front of the Lodge that runs every 3min and is one stop away from Golden Peak (if you don't want to walk that one block). The amenities are perfect. Ski lockers are in the lobby (so no walking up/down stairs), very clean and organized, and stocked daily with snacks, hand warmers, chapsticks, and sun screens. Finally, the service and staff are outstanding. On the 2nd night of our stay we had a leak in the bathroom. Within 10min of alerting the manager to the problem, he showed up with new sets of keys to another room and helped us relocate. I will definitely go back to this place on next trip to Vail.

Room was clean and bed comfy. Brian and josh were the best hosts we have come upon in all our travels. So helpful & incredibly nice.
• Mae (10/5): Great find in Vail Village! - This was a great find! It was a clean and overall comfortable place to stay, with a location that is impossible to beat. Plus, it's dog friendly! The pool was beautiful and warm for a wonderful evening swim. Parking across the street was easy (the garage was full). Josh, the assistant property manager, was incredibly accommodating and helpful. My only complaints are that the bed is a serious rock and is very noisy. Also, the desk chair is ready for replacement. The room is also desperately in need of a mini fridge and a fan. But, overall, I'd recommend this property, and we do hope to stay here again!

The rooms were large and very comfortable. The Galatyn Lodge is a very special place. We can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Vail. The thing that makes this lodge so special is the staff. Brian, the General Manager, Josh the Assistant General Manager and their entire staff were amazing. They go out of their way to make sure that your stay is truly special. Good customer service seems to be lost in todays world. Not at The Galatyn Lodge! We will be back.

• ajmullerusc (10/5): Pet friendly, great amenities, great location! - We stayed at The Galatyn Lodge this past weekend for the second time and loved every second of our stay. We have stayed at most of the lodges and Resorts in Vail. The Galatyn exceeds our expectations by far and fits every need of ours. My favorite part is how dog friendly they are. When you live in Colorado, you likely have a dog or two. We love traveling with our dogs. Josh and Brian are amazing with the dogs. We can hang by the 90 degree heated pool with them in the summer and we can leave them in the room for dinner (just make sure they’re not loud for extended periods of time). There are plenty of pet relief areas near the hotel too. Despite all of the pet accommodations, The Galatyn is sparkling clean and very comfortable. We found both of our stays to be quiet. The proximity to Vail Village is perfect and they have underground parking that is included with your room. The cleaning staff is SO SWEET. The Galatyn isn’t a big conglomerate ran hotel chain. It’s privately owned. You truly get that personal, intimate feeling when you stay here. This is the only place we will now stay in Vail. Josh is a great person. Be kind to him! Call and book with him directly. We have nothing but great things to say.

After spending the weekend at Galatyn Lodge, I can honestly say that this is the most dog - friendly hotel we have ever experienced. Clean, air-conditioned rooms, great customer service from the Asst Managers Brian and Josh, and your location is in the heart of Vail Village. I couldn't ask for anything more, and will be staying at the Galatyn Lodge next year for the Mountain Games.

The rooms are very spacious and allow for a full family to stay comfortably. Not to mention the Galatyn is also dog friendly, which is a huge plus. The location is perfect, just steps away from Vail's main village, a nice local park and a great playground. The Galatyn offers top notch hospitality, on-site parking and a great pool. I would highly recommend staying at the Galatyn Lodge for your next getaway to Vail.

This is my favorite place in the Vail and by far has the best service, not to mention its convenient location, cleanliness, spacious rooms, attention to detail, and so much more. You will be hard-pressed to find a better spot in Vail.

Very comfortable beds, furniture, fireplace, full kitchen etc. Plus, fantastic pool/hot tub and incredible workout facility with nearby coffee/breakfast spot and fantastic restaurants and gondola all within short walking distance. Wonderful staff who are all very familiar and connected throughout Vail valley. Great place to stay in Vail winter or any season.

• jaym644 (10/5): Charming, personalized stay in Vail - My second time visiting the Galatyn at Vail reminded me why I should never stay anywhere else. This place is so special... From the location and luxe accommodations to the welcoming staff, there is no better place in Vail. Arriving post holidays we were excited to relax and enjoy a quieter Vail. Upon check-in, the GM, Brian was beyond hospitable, accommodating and friendly. Our room was so comfortable and flawlessly clean. The bed was tough to get out of in the morning it was comfortable... Everything from the robes, towels and molton brown products to the cookies (they even had gluten free shortbread cookies for me!) offered post skiing made us feel like we were in a dream. Given the reduced occupancy for restaurants in Vail it was extremely difficult to find reservations... Thankfully the GM is also an amazing concierge and went way above and beyond to help us find places to dine and hang. We could not believe the efforts made on our behalf to make sure we had the best experience ever, covid and all! They helped us w equipment rentals, tickets, dining reservations, hiking suggestions and shopping recommendations. Made everything so much easier and allowed us to just truly enjoy our trip. The Galatyn is a 10/10 experience even during covid restrictions... Can't wait to return!! Highly recommend!!
• misselenious (10/5): Amazing Experience - We had such a wonderful stay at The Galatyn! From the friendly staff to the cozy rooms and the attention to detail, the whole package was unbelievable. Everything was very clean and staff made sure to abide by Covid protocols. The location couldn't be better with very close access to ski lifts and the Village. They provide lockers to keep your skis in with boot warmers and all the little things you need on the mountain but usually forget: snack bar, hand warmers, chapstick, sunscreen, trail map, tissues, etc. They had everything covered and well thought out down to the delicious afternoon cookies. I will definitely be coming back!

• Verified traveler (10/5): Stay here! - Could not be happier. We extended our stay by three days at Galatyn. Josh Tenner is a wonderful host. Been to Vail over twenty times over the years, and never knew about this lodge on the east side of Vail Village. This is the side I've always preferred in the summertime.
• LeoJ3 (10/5): We WILL be back! - Our first time staying in Vail was in June at The Galatyn Lodge. We could not have made a better choice. The convenience of the location, the security of the parking, and service of the staff was outstanding. We will definitely stay at the The Galatyn again and we loved Vail and its people. • Autumn393 (10/5): Wonderful Place to Stay - This was our first stay at The Galatyn Lodge and we loved it! We normally stay at larger chain hotels and this experience was definitely so much better. They have a very small staff so you interact with the same people each day. Josh was the manager on duty when we were there and he was very friendly and helpful. He made sure we had everything we needed and suggested great restaurants and things to do based on our interests. The room was very nice and the hotel is exceptionally clean. They are taking every precaution that they can regarding Covid cleaning. The location is perfect. It is right next to the river, Vail Village, and a small dog park (the hotel is dog friendly). We will stay here again the next time we come to Vail.
• Leo (10/5): - There is absolutely no area I could mark down at The Galatyn Lodge. Attention to detail, service, reception, cleanliness, and the amenities of the lodge and area itself were all excellent. Mr. Tenner and staff could not have taken better care of us.

• Keenanathan (10/5): The perfect low-key-yet-luxury true Vail experience. - The Galatyn Lodge is thee perfect low-key-yet-luxury true Vail experience getaway. I’ve stayed here several times and it offers all the finest in comforts with a no pressure relaxing atmosphere, and that’s whether I’m visiting to hit the slopes, town, or just gape at the scenery. It is a home away from home. The staff genuinely connect with- and care about their guests’ experience, and possess palpable long-standing relationships with all of Vail's businesses and offerings to enrich your time spent there above and beyond what most visitors will ever get the chance to experience. I mean it. The lodge has extremely clean, well-furnished 1st floor lockers for your ski and snowboard gear that are equipped with multiple boot driers, and they even stock them with items like organic snacks, sunscreen, handwarmers, and advil. The place is down right thoughtful! From a visit to the apres ski spa right around the corner, to helping find openings at the best table in Vail’s finest restaurants, their staff knows and cares about your experience. It’s such a great place I honestly almost hesitate to write the review for fear of spoiling my spot! But Galatyn deserves every bit of recognition. You’ll want to come back again and again (like I do every winter).
• HDTodd (10/5): Excellent hospitality and location - The Galatyn is a superbly maintained property in a great location. You are a 3-4 minute walk to either Gondola One or the Riva Bahn chairlift at Golden Peak. We stayed in a lodge room which was perfectly clean and well appointed. The ski locker just inside the front door is very convenient and includes boot dryers. Brian and his staff are incredibly friendly and happy to help in anyway they can. We were able to leave our car in their garage after checking out on the last day while we skied before heading home in the afternoon. Great service, comfortable beds, good shower and a fantastic location -- highly recommended!

• MichaelB. (10/5): - I didn’t have high expectations. In fact, I booked because it was the cheapest option. With all that said, the hotel was a pleasant surprise and exceeded my expectations. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location is perfect if you want to be in Vail Village. Free parking underground. And the special touch was a private ski locker packed with tissues, hand warmers, and power bars!

The hotel rooms and condo units are incredibly clean (I didn't hesitate putting my baby down to crawl around), and the guest service is world class (we love being greeted by Sammy and Kona -- the lodge dogs!). We look forward to staying with you again soon.
• Cleeruemie (10/5): The Galatyn Can’t Be Beat! - We stayed here for a family getaway to the mountains. This place can’t be beat! It’s in a great location in regards to the rest of Vail Village. The rooms are incredibly spacious and extremely clean! The staff is very helpful and accommodating. We will most definitely be coming back!

That sounds much more dramatic than it was. It was VERY slight, but enough to leave a poor nights sleep.

Very convenient parking below the property. Firm beds and lack of effective room temperature control made for restless/limited sleep. Advised that opening windows was an option to cool the warm room. Unfortunately, without the well-insulated windows closed, road noise was thunderous. Coffee maker only in lobby.
• Marie (10/5): - Incredibly warm, welcoming, and professionally managed from the very start of the reservation to the end by Josh Tenner, Assistant General Manager. He called personally to ensure all details prior to arrival. The rooms are placed in an interesting pattern, with the layout ensuring a quiet night’s sleep. Everything was “sparkling clean” and windows do open to allow pine-scented air in. Amenities included wine glasses. The shower: spotless sliding glass doors and lovely warm, sunny-toned marble or stone. The lighter, warm tones of color, and very cushiony muted rose-colored carpeting created a very cozy, quiet, warm environment. We also enjoyed the underground, secure garage for our car with it’s entry doorway to the elevator. Coffee / hot chocolate is available in the lobby area beside a cozy “den” with interesting antler chandelier. Josh also offered umbrellas for use, in case of rain. A bonus: you can catch the shuttle about 20-25 steps away, around the bend to see the Betty Ford Garden, (beautiful Alpine Gardens, trails, sculptures and scenic photos with streams and mountains), then continue on into Vail Village with all its restaurants, shops, sculptures, and lively people! We are planning to return and are delighted in having discovered The Galatyn Lodge!
