- Vicki (6/5): Fair I may have heard a train and I’m glad to reasonable price and just glad to sleep in a bed. - Mom and pop owned There is no ice available
- Marcy (2/5): I felt like I needed a tetanus shot after staying there. The photo is of the night stand! - The people were nice but the place is filthy. CLEAN THE ROOMS!
- LINDA (1/5): i wouldn't stay again. motel 6 is cheaper & you get what u expect w/them - location. some staff tried to be helpful. everything was minimally adequate. poor maintenance, no parking near room. wifi was a joke, kept dropping out. it was probably one of the first, if not THE first motel ever built in Tehachapi. faded glory
- Vicki (5/5): - Location and customer service No iron and no ice
- Rosemarie (3/5): - Clean Everything else
- Maria (1/5): It’s a pigsty - Nothing Was a dirty place, no one should ever stay there
- Salle (9/5): -
- Evelia (2/5): You get what you pay ! For one night stay it’s ok - Great location Very dirty / seems like the bed sheets weren’t clean
- Clinton (1/5): People holler knocking on your door I’ll through the night - Fresh air Invest in cockroaches

- Ashton (6/5): - Ac sucks
- Daniel (2/5): - The room dirty, mattress poor, bedding poor,
Property was not clean with garbage on ground
Overall in very poor condition
I expected Norman Bates to appear
- Crumm (1/5): Ranch motel no heweno - Didn't like any part of it.
. The only way in was by foot about a good 1/4 mile because of road construction
Owner said to park at the police station parking lot. Felt a little to safe for us. So we found lodging elsewhere Everything
- Salle (8/5): -
- Chris (8/5): Nice n quiet. - Very quiet and comfy clean bed. Bathroom could've used more love, but all in all, very pleasant.
- Revelo (4/5): To high for 1 star motel. - The first stay at room number 8 was ok. The bed was ok the bathroom they need lots of work. I'll not take a shower there at all. What I didn't like was once again the bathroom was not clean at all. There was long hair female and dry urine spots in the toilet seat. And not enough toilet papers or towels. I stayed in room 7th but it wasn't great so I exchange it for room one. It was a nicer room but the bed was uneven the bathroom it seems they all have the same issues not well maintained compared to the rest of the rooms decoration.
- Revelo (8/5): Not good for the price. - The room was more like a home at a country lodge very nice. The bed was soft the pillows were fluffy. The bathroom were not properly cleaned it seems they don't get done daily but rather than maybe once a week. The shower was not safe to bathing, didn't feel safe at all. They need lots of work to be ok.
- Roi (3/5): Poor -
- Stu (7/5): Good -
- Karen (8/5): - Good for the night. Got what I paid for.
- Pedro (2/5): - If you want to feel the feeling of being at a crime scene this is the perfect place, the bathroom was scary to use it, the shower had mold on the walls and on the floor. The door lock was forced and did not inspire much security. We found cockroaches when we returned at night and decided to leave and drive home instead of sleeping there. I don't recommend it unless you like horror movies.
- Leticia (2/5): - Microwave and refrigerator in room did not work. The shower overflowed while I was in the shower. Lighting was horrible. Sheets and towels had stains
- Pitts (3/5): Poor -
- William (3/5): A bit disappointed but it was cheap - Cheap Dirty room, leaking shower, damp smell, dark room only one light in the corner.
- Ken (4/5): - Extremely low price. The windows haven’t been washed in years. It needs paint, plaster and thorough deep cleaning.
- Jason (5/5): Paid for a place to rest my weary head - Owner was friendly, nice location. Didn't wake up to the train since it was further away from the main street but still close enough to walk. Thin walls, was able to hear someone on their phone but they were quiet around 9pm. Cigarette burns in the sheets. Someone's leftover milk and cake in the fridge that was unplugged.
- Jessica (2/5): - Toilet didn’t even work at all
- Mcknight (4/5): Old run down and slightly sketchy - This place need to be condemned
- Jennifer (4/5): - .
- Sandyann (2/5): - Wow. I mean I knew based on the price it wasn't going to be the place they leave the lights on for you. But even so I was shocked. I mean how bad could it be?
I am just going to let the pics tell the tale. By the way, the washcloth? No. I didn't use it. It was from some other guest. Who knows from when. There was so much other crazy stuff but I just wanted out. I slept in my sleeping bag. Didn't use the shower. Eek. If I was not exhausted from driving I would not have stayed.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donald (8/5): Very good -
- Donald (8/5): Very good -
- Leticia (4/5): Disappointing -
- William (4/5): You get what pay for. - Price, location. Furnishings, parking.
- Eva (10/5): - had to change rooms no heat we had small children
there was not even enough towels for us all bathroom was so small your body touch wall and sink try to get in
beds old and hard squeaky
bedding did not match from pillowcases to bed comforters some pillows had pillowcases on them. Others didn’t walls were scuffed up with dirt floor boards were nasty. Looks like they haven’t been cleaned with the magic eraser ever in life in the toilet was nasty. Layers of dust and grime
- Mykail (3/5): Poor -
- Michael (5/5): Handy for passing through. - Warm. Quiet neighborhood. Heater too noisy. Sexual graffitti written in drawer.
- Toby (2/5): Couldn’t wait to leave - To start, the towels on the rack were dirty and had a long dark hair on one, the wall had a longer hair plastered to it with toilet paper hiding behind the trash can. The shower was moldy, the toilet seat wouldn’t stay up on its own. The next door neighbor had a barking dog and stayed up until 2:00 AM yelling at video games and getting angry for stepping in dog piss. Seemed like they were living in the room and smoking who knows what? I’ve slept in a lot of crappy motels, but this experience topped it for me. At least there was no blood involved…
- David (8/5): - It was a good value.
- Karen (1/5): Bad -
- Crystal (8/5): Very good - The room was clean and quiet The bottom of the shower was molded. We wore shower shoes when we showered.
- Christina (10/5): - Place was nice
- Elvis (5/5): Passable -
- mandi (2/5): - NOTHING WAS ENJOYABLE. HORRIBLE PLACE. EMPTY BEER CAND IN SHOWER 8 OLD BARS OF SOAP. BOTTOM OF SHOWER WAS BLACK PAINT CHIPPING OFF WALLS. I FELT LIKE I WAS TRYING TO BALE SOMEONE OUT OF JAIL WHEN I WAS CHECKING IN.. $75 WAISTED. EXPERIAN CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO HELP.. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.
- Ginny (3/5): It was a bed - Cheap Ppl outside
- Sherri (8/5): Very good - The host was very friendly, quiet, and a quaint friendly family motel. Not expensive at all.
- Paulus (7/5): Good -
- Sonya (1/5): HORRIBLE AND I HAD TO STAY AN EXTRA NIGHT ON SUNDAY AND THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME MORETHAN THE NORMAL - location only for my needs but it was quiet Filthy.....no toilet paper holder.......paint flaking everywhere......horrible towels........trash and junk everywhere around the property.......all grass dried up.......shopping cart by the doors......no amenities at all.
- Lima (8/5): It was an excellent stay, and great value for my money. - It was a charming motel, brick walls, clean floors, (no carpet), comfortable bed. The room was nicely decorated with old pieces of furniture, but of course with a new flat screen TV. The manager was very pleasant and very helpful. Well, the shower looks like it could use some updating, but that is a minor note. It was clean, but could use some updating. The bathroom sink and toilet were new.
- Kim (6/5): - It was good inside but it needs a lot of work outside.
- Milo (1/5): way below my expectations. - Nothing The motel is old, and the rooms are smelly. The bed and bedding should be completely replaced. It was just a bad experience. Waiste of money.
- Rodriguez (4/5): Disappointing -
- Jessica (10/5): - It was very quaint and old, needs updating, but was still charming.
- Lisa (3/5): Poor - The scenery
- Carlos (3/5): Has seen better days - The motel is conveniently close to the town center and restaurants. It is located in a quiet neighborhood but some of the guests are not so quiet. What could have been better? The room next door (#5) was occupied by people with a dog that barked at everything it heard, even during sleeping hours and no one monitors or does anything about it. The lighting in the room is measly. The refrigerator door doesn't seal properly and the interior is caked with ice. The toilet has brown streaks on it and it's hard to tell if it's from rust or just not cleaned very thoroughly. The shower stall floods up to several inches even during a short shower, good way to pick up foot or nail fungus. Towels have been around since Columbus arrived to America. At least the bed sheets were clean, the TV works, the noisy air conditioner did what it could.
- Meri (7/5): Good value, the price met expectation. - The motel was a good value and in a good location. The folks running the motel were kind. I liked the trash bins outside of the rooms. It could have been a bit cleaner. Our bathroom had someone else's beard trimmings in the sink when we came. The faucet looked like it had not been wiped down in a while.
- Stephanie (2/5): - The one good thing about this place was that the bedsheets were clean. Everything else was filthy. The shower drain was clogged with hair and there were cockroaches in the bathroom. Two of the walls of the bathroom were also rotten through; you could see the insulation. I tried not to touch anything except the desk and the bed. The lamp was also broken, but that can be replaced. Would not recommend this place.
- Mykail (10/5): Exceptional - It was comfortable the owner was so sweet I would definitely go again
- Svenja (8/5): Very good - Nice room, clean, nice bathroom Wifi wasn't good in all rooms
- Hayden (1/5): Bad - I liked that it was cheap It was really dirty, bugs everywhere, booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children with 2 queen beds and there was one pillow in the room and one towel I the bathroom with no hand soap and no soap to shower and when I asked for all of that from the front desk he said he could not provide anything I asked for would not recommend staying here
- Steve (2/5): Good as a last resort if you can’t find anything else - Noisy and uncomfortable bed.
- Brenda (4/5): - This motel has soooo much potential. It’s a shame it’s not better cared for. Just generally dirty, old sheets and towels, poorly maintained overall. Bugs on the floor, garbage on the ground behind furniture. But it was cheap. Again, if the owners took the time to really care for the motel, it would be a total gem.
- Garrett (10/5): Exceptional - Stay vintage/retro. It’s absolutely charming
- Derek (9/5): Overall I would stay there again when I travel back through. Good location, good price, good staff - The location was good. Although it was much easier to just go there and pay at the desk and sign in, trying to do it on booking.com the app itself kept shutting me out and wouldn't let me do my password The mattress was a little old, it had usage indents on both sides from being overused so I kind of fell into it. It was a little hard to sleep
- Lorraine (4/5): - Didn't like the room was very old and the shower was discussing 🤔
- Ella-Claire (6/5): - We had no choice to stay here because our limited budget, is it a place in need to fixing up
- Daniel (2/5): - Rude. I accidentally booked for the following night because it was after midnight. Paid twice for bad dirty old room with rude service clerk
- Aaron (2/5): - Soap packets thrown on the back of the toilet, REALLY hard mattresses, creepy textured blankets and pillows, ancient box springs. The whole room kind of felt like a prison cell. If you have the means, stay ANYWHERE else. It's sufficient shelter tho, if you don't have a choice.
- Barbara (5/5): Passable -
- Charles (6/5): - At least the shower was hot and the bed was comfortable. No bugs. Just a bit tired and rundown. Price was worth the value.
- Don (3/5): Interesting but will not repeat. - Rooms clean but the outside unkept and motel was run down early 1950’s primitive. I did like the receptionist so no complaints there. This motel will last much longer.
- Christensen (1/5): I may get syphilis by simply being in that room. - Nothing Dirtiest , scummiest, slummy motel I have ever seen. Paint chipping, dirty toilet, dusty floors, just generally all around awful.
- Christina (10/5): - Nice area
- Christina (10/5): - Love the staff
- Christina (10/5): - The staff
- Christina (10/5): - Very nice staff it it was very homie
- richard (8/5): - The front desk clerk was extremely polite and kind.
- Debra (1/5): Worst Valentines night ever! I wish I had taken pictures - Nothing . The bed was old and broken down. We felt like we had walked into a horror movie! The towels were stained and only a sliver of soap was provided.
- Vivian (4/5): OK for one night but furnace grid REALLY needs to be cleaned and property just needs more care. - No breakfast. Good location except for approx. 40 trains overnight blowing their whistles, bed was comfortable. Refrigerator worked. It seemed safe. Pet friendly. Messy yard and exterior sidewalks etc. Filthy air return ducts on furnace, thin, cheap towels, stains on sheet and curtains.
- Janice (8/5): Very good -
- James (4/5): Disappointing -
- Diana (5/5): Passable -
- Ian (3/5): Poor - Cheap place to stay, hence the price Uncomfortable bed, shower was dirty, just generally garbage
- Jordan (2/5): - Had to buy a tarp and fitted sheet to cover the tarp to sleep on the bed that was upside down to due to the nasty stains all over. There were bugs all over floor along with sticky stains. The bathroom door was falling apart due to rot. This was just the surface, I’d never say here again.
- Mitch (8/5): Overall enjoyable. - I like that it's old fashioned in the rooms with a little bit of modern style. The TV, AC and heater worked well. The beds were comfy enough to get some sleep, blankets were clean and comfy. The area is quiet and not too far from stores or shops. The manager is very nice and will accommodate you if he can. So over all I like this place, it's very doable. The bathrooms are a bit too dated, and could use newer paint and showers. The mattresses are dated as well and could be replaced with newer ones.
- Ross (2/5): - NEVER STAY HERE
- Mitch (8/5): Very good - The price is good for the room, the customer service was good, the area is quiet, nice to be in and walk around. The rooms are a little old fashioned, the beds and amenities like the fridge and microwave could be replaced with newer ones.
- James (7/5): Good -
- Bill (2/5): Very disappointing, go to a holiday inn, or motel six. Three times better motel for about $15 more. - Easy parking, did have a frig. Run down, needs a lot of work. Does not look like the pictures in the advertisement. No micro, not coffee or tea, anywhere. No amenities at all. Dirty towels from previous occupant left behind bath door. The TV didn't even work too well.
- Le (8/5): Very good - Room was spacious, brand new towels. Great deal. Basic cable
- Amber (2/5): - .
- Zachary (1/5): Absolutely not - Absolutely nothing This hotel looks like it was built in the 50s and hasn't been cleaned since. Without question the worst place I've ever stayed. I can't even think of a close second. Towels were stained, floor was dirty, doors were paper thin with only a weak handle lock. Whoever runs this place does not care and is willing to put in zero effort. It would get points for trying but they absolutely have put in zero effort. Would take 10 minutes to sweep the walkways, they can't even be bothered to do that. I can't stress this enough, zero effort. None. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else then thank me later.
