Guest Reviews
- Garth (1/5): There is nothing to like about this motel, it is old run down and the reception is not even manned. - There is nothing to like about this motel, it is old run down and the reception is not even manned. Everything
- Peter (5/5): -
- Christine (3/5): -
- Pauline (3/5): Will not stay again - The location Everything especially the ants in our beds
- Felicity (1/5): - Nothing Absolutely shocking motel. No toilet paper, no towels, no milk. Stains all over the walls and carpets, unclean looking bedding. It was so awful I didn't even stay, I left within ten minutes and went to stay somewhere else.
- Keightley (5/5): -
- Nilmini (1/5): -
- Baird (2/5): - Spacious room Not serviced fully. Missing linen. No toilet paper . No coffee and milk
- Kaylene (5/5): Very budget accommodation - Great heater, excellent water pressure, very obliging host? Comfortable beds. Wifi was good.
The price of the room was fair and as it was only for one night we weren't too bothered. Ants, ants, ants, no milk, no TV at least it wasnt working and he (host?) didnt know why, no tea towel or dish wash liquid, not all the lights worked. Room wasn't completely ready/made up when we arrived, even though we were expected.
- Andrew & Sue (3/5): Location was good. - The water pressure in the shower was excellent When we went to check in, a person who was living in the units said the manager was most likely still asleep. It was 11am! we came back many hours later and a women lent out of a side window of the house and said the manager was outside somewhere. We found him and got into our units. We asked him for some towels as there were none in the unit and he said he would bring them down later, as we were going out for tea we were to give him a ring when we got back. We did and 20minutes later we received them. No face cloth nor the milk we requested. The TV had no signal nor was there any internet. He said that none of the units had a TV going and had tried to fix it the problem. Funny thing though, the units where folk were living had TV reception. We were given the code for WIFI but lost that at 7pm and still off in the morning.
The shower tiles had black mold in the grout and all the windows and window guttering had black mold as did the sliding doors. Couldn't do the dishes as there wasn't a dishcloth or tea towel. Would we recommend this motel to folk, we have stayed in worse, the whole package wasn't professional in both service and presentation.
- Dahria (9/5): It was xcellent - It was good. Perfect for my family Everything was good. Only bad thing was the weather lmao
- White (1/5): Worst place I've ever stayed, who has to wait on toilet paper and towels... for 2 hours?? - Checked in at 6:30 had to wait nearly 2 hours to be given toilet paper and towels after being told it would be 30 minutes. After a long day of moving and being in the rain with children this made the stay very uncomfortable. We were not given check in instructions until we called, bc when we showed up all lights were out and no one was around. We were told the wrong room and had to move after we were already in. The wifi was horrible and the TV did not work. The beds had crumbs and dirt on the sheets, and my children found a condom on the bedroom floor.
- Anacin (9/5): - handy for work, didn't have to travel far, nice and easy
- Johana (3/5): Poor - Staff was friendly There were no basic necesities like basic kitchen utensils, plates and cups, the microwave was not working, no bathmat in the shower. No basic pots and pans.
We ask for some as we needed it but would be better if u just went to opshop to buy some. I didn't use it, good thing we did have out little pot with us we used for hearing our lunch that day.
Place was not neat and tidy but bed clean and comfy for a tired hiker.
I wish they could make the place more tidy and neat.
This would not pass quality check for an often customer of accomodations. Price is not worth it.
- Aiono (1/5): Not good at all - Nothing The service the room was filthy and was leaking water out of the celling light stains everywhere felt dirty smelt dirty pictures did not look like what the room looked like felt unsafe due to water coming out of the celling light asked for a new room was told by worker sorry the other room that was empty is no better than the one I was in owner said room is OK to stay in was just real bad
- Castro (8/5): Very good -
- Karyn (1/5): Don't stay here. It like Hotel Transylvania - not even joking. - From the moment I drove up the driveway, I knew there was nothing to like about this place. The pictures on Booking.com are misleading and do not accurately represent the property. It appears to have been used for emergency housing, which sums it up perfectly. There were no tea towels, the fridge was dirty, and the beds were disgusting. There were no flannels or coat hangers, and it was dusty with mismatched crockery and cutlery. There was no milk (I had to keep asking), only one tea bag, and no sugar or coffee. The yard was a mess, the windows were dirty, and the latches didn't work properly. We ended up moving to another hotel. I had to wipe the bathroom floor (it was horrendous) and even had to go get bleach.
- Ben (8/5): Very good -
- Desireedarling (4/5): Disappointing - Good location Cost was high for what it was
Arrived late 4pm and room was not clean
Outdated.
Only motel I've stayed at that does not supply milk.
- Rebecca (3/5): Poor - Oven thing in kitchen was dirty, did not use as don't want to get sick from God knows what bacteria is on it, nothing to wash dishes with, was only given 2 towels for 3 people and even requested a 3rd towel and never got it, we stayed 2 nights, walls were dirty, curtains were falling off hooks, bedding and pillows were VERY thin, I had to wear a jumper etc to bed to keep warm.
- Amy (1/5): Bad - 1 towel in room for family of 3. Very little toilet paper
- Mark (8/5): Fine for our over night staff to visit friends - Powerful shower and bathroom heating Only the TV didn’t work
- Mccausland (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jeffrey (1/5): Bad - Location No towels. No toilet paper. 20 minutes to resolve. No working power outlets. No hot water. I left after one hour rather than invest more time in uncertainty.
- Merril (8/5): Very good -
- Jonas (4/5): Disappointing -
- Jamie (5/5): Passable - Since the whole emergency housing is unfortunately gone down hill.
- Issha (7/5): Was worried about some of the reviews looking at them after already booking but I didn’t think it was bad at all, we had - Comfortable bed
Good service Stain on carpet
- Karen (1/5): Would not recommend anyone stay here - Only saving grace was the location and the 1 poor staff member who has to front this absolute hovel of a motel. Rubbish pilled up, room had stained carpet, mildew smell, no toilet paper in room. Room has clearly not had a deep clean ever. It is clearly an emergency accomodation motel and rooms are reflective of this. Very basic old beds and furnishings. Should not be listed as a 3 star motel. Also pictures showing rooms on booking.com are nothing like what the rooms are actually like.
- Khemchik (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (1/5): Will never stay here again - Nothing Very poor
- Sharyn (1/5): Worst place we have ever paid to stay NOT RECOMMENDED!!! - Location was perfect Overwhelming smell of mould, booked and paid for a 2 bedroom unit, given a 1 bedroom unit instead.
Says it's 24/7 contact , difficult to get through to anyone.
Many things were old, rusty, mouldy , no blankets on beds
Heater in bedroom dodgy
Mould on walls and bathroom tiles and sills
2 bedroom unit cost more than the 1 bedroom but no offer of any refund or explanation why the change just before we arrived
- Tania (4/5): Adequate - The bed was comfy, shower was high pressured Coffee, no milk, musty smell
- Richard (7/5): A perfect place to lay up for the night with a family friendly room - The owner was very polite and put a lot of effort into making sure we were ok and also gave us our choice of rooms to stay in. There was cooking facilities however I didn't use them. The room was very tidy and the shower excellent. Just a personal preference would be having different thickness pillows to make it easier to find one that is comfortable.
- Hugh (3/5): Cheap and dirty, stay elsewhere. - Location was OK Tired rundown and dirty. Had to buy fly spray to get rid of numerous flies and ants in the bathroom. Motel appeared without a manager who called us late afternoon as he was not at the motel until 30 minutes even though we were only a few minutes away. The motel pictures are well out of date and not a reflection of the actual poor state, motel gardens are overgrown and untidy. We ended up with this motel as others were booked up. If you have the choice book another motel, not this one. Other points, mismatched glasses, taped up power cord on kettle, non existent pillows, dirty carpet, mismatched drapes that don’t close properly, furniture from charity shops, the list goes on. Stay clear of this motel.
- Paris (3/5): Poor - Lovely staff, good communication about me arriving later on Wasnt as clean and put together as photos show
- Wendy (3/5): Poor -
- Tehiriama (5/5): Maunga - It was ok for what we needed...but laundromat was a problem There was nothing to like apart from the dogs pooing all over the place
- Karen (1/5): Bad Experience. Disgusting accommodation. I video it, can’t add to photos. I want 50% money back. - Nothing, accommodation was terrible. As soon as we got there it was dodgy. Grounds were not maintained.
Unprofessional, was not clean when we got there he cleaned after we got there. This lodge used for emergency housing. They were dirty dogs inside rooms, with babies crawling around them. We had a lot missing from room. Utensils, Renote. Kitchen was very old. Basics were old and not done well, very disappointing. 😔😡 The whole experience was yuk. Had an argument with Manager and he was not listening to his client. He says after four days we make complaint. I told him right from the start rooms were very disappointing. We couldn’t book anywhere else cause all accommodation was booked out. We had to make the worst situation the best we could. Power plugs most didn’t work, missing utensils pots, no teaspoons, no tea towels. No tv remote, 2 x cuos for four of us. No toadter, No Iron. Lots missing. Really poor service.
- Liz (4/5): Disappointing - Bed was ok. No pots, ,tea towels, hand towels. So many things not working or missing, lights etc
Broken toilet seat , wobbly leg on chair etc.
No welcome, daily check in etc
Four nights and no housekeeping of any sorts.
Extremely disappointing standard of accommodation.
Very, very noisy, as main road had heavy traffic constantly.
- Marshall (3/5): Poor - Toys scattered every outside bikes scooters rubbish lying around un mowed no where to park, room out dated curtain didnt close properly or match,, had to ask for milk, couldn't find power point for jug had to unplu the fridge,
Luckily was only one night
- Alexander (4/5): Disappointing - Good sized room, comfortable bed. Insufficient cutlery - no dessertspoons or teaspoons. No cutting knife, chopping board. Insufficient pots, no frying pan.
No water glasses.
No reading lamps above bed. Lamp above lounge chair not working.
- Richard (7/5): Good - Location a bit noisy but to be expected being on a main highway.
- Douglas (5/5): A place to stay overnight while enjoying the surrounding activities - The location was great. The bed was really comfortable and it was neat and clean.
- Karen (3/5): Glad to leave this place. - Power points don't work. Light fittings broken.. Furniture and fittings poor. Generally noisy tenants. Loud music. Dogs.
- Patrick (1/5): stepped in dod poo -
- Cynthia (7/5): Good -
- Diane (1/5): Would certainly not recommend this hotel to anybody - nothing, didn't stay to find out Man was cleaning a unit fridge with a hose when we arrived. Took his time serving us. The place was generally untidy with a pile of mattresses outside. Someone's scrawny huntaway dog roaming free. Certainly didn't look anything like the pictures on the internet. Applied for a refund but haven't heard anything.
- Jacqueline (1/5): Bad - location the 2 rooms had black mold. in one of the rooms the mold was all over the roof
- Dianne (2/5): Very poor - I didn't stay, drove past and the place looked very run down. Ended up staying at a property down the road.
This property looks nothing like the photo on this review.
Wasted $130.
False advertisement.
- Pamela (10/5): Great value for money, comfy, spacious, cool - I liked the location, the kindness of the staff, the space, and that the kitchen had many options for cooking. Also great value for price, included movies, not just open TV. That there weren't toiletries, only a bar soap.
Also not enough utensils in the kitchen, no pan, no glasses, very limited.
Not sure about how clean it was, but overall great value for price
- Cheryl (1/5): Do not stay here. Motel was disgusting. - The location suited our requirements The room smelt musty, there were no lightbulbs in the fittings, the shower was mouldy and there was a big brown stain on the carpet. There was a hole in the wall. Completely below standard.
- Davidson (4/5): Disappointing - When I arrived at 12 noon but no reception. I can't access the call phone because I'm Deaf. Need use text mobile cell. I don't like to wait too long for 45 minutes.
- Hills (5/5): Basic - OK if you just want a bed - It was adequately clean, it is quite dated and you can only clean so much before you need to replace.. (the photos are old) but the beds were comfortable There was a reasonable amount of road noise but not terrible, a few basic things missing like a cloth to wipe the bench, teatowel, limited cuttlery and no glasses. I would have asked but the reception was by ringing the house doorbell so felt less approachable. The staff were friendly but did not provide the level of hospitality I would have expected at most NZ motels without me asking first.
- Bryce (1/5): Just basic stuff missing. - The location was good. Booked a selfcontained two room unit for 4 persons so expected a suitable room. There was only 2 chairs at the table. A very small 2 seater sofa. One roll of WC paper. No sundries such as hand soap or dish washing liquid. No tea towel or dish brush. The room only had one glass and a coffee cup with swear words on it. No Tea or coffee, just a torn box which i guess was left by the last person.
We booked budget so did not expect fancy but this was well below par with a lack of basic aninities. It was a hot night with poor sleep as no air con, but not even a fan in the rooms.
- Graeme (1/5): Should be shut down. - Nothing It was dated, wallpaper peeling off the walls, minimal and missing dishes and utensils, room smelt damp and musky, booked for 2 nights but left early morning after first night.
- Rebbekah (5/5): Passable - It was an OK place to sleep for the night. The couch and the dining chairs were broken and filthy. There was not enough parking for all guest. The kitchen was not what I would call fully stocked with everything one needs to cook there was only one spoon which was a serving spoon not one to eat with.
- Sharon (1/5): Did not stay left following inspection of unit - Location that’s about it Appeared very basic but did not actually stay as on entering unit was it with a very musty damp smell. Bed linen looked very ‘second hand’ dispute young man booking us in saying he has off to get new pillows. Neighbour unit like well live in
Very unpleasant would rather lose the payment than risk poor hygiene standards.
- Phil (7/5): Good - Friendly welcoming staff. Very clean and tidy. Pillows were terrible!
- Amber (2/5): Very poor - The kitchen barely had any utensils
The room could use a better deep clean
Very damp place
There’s no ventilation in the bathroom and was constantly damp and wet
- Renee (1/5): Incredibly disappointed with this property. It is an embarrassment for our country and the region. Ended up staying at t - Booked for 2 nights, only stayed for one! I didn’t read the reviews and booking this motel was a big mistake. Property has been used for emergency housing and is in a state of disrepair - damaged kitchen cabinetry, mis-matched damaged furniture, broken light fittings, broken window latches, water damaged window sill, dust bunnies behind the door and hair on the floor in the bathroom, crumbs under the cushion on the only dirty lounge chair. Uncomfortable beds and pillows. And the terrible smell :(
- Nicole (2/5): Very poor -
- Santosh (1/5): Bad - Nothing everything is worst
Only thing was staff on duty are friendly but do not have any professional behavior Worst experience
We arrived 1 hour earlier to our check in time. And asked the manager if we can use the toilts in reception. For that the manager said you came one hour early but room is almost ready and just need to replace a pillow and asked us to check in and he came with a replaced pillow.
We could not stay in the room for even 15 minutes it was not cleaned spiders and spider webs every where in the launge, by the beds in the coupbord, kitchin area, bathroom, and the microwave was very dirty, outside was dirty with hair every whre.
And asked we need some sort of refund as we vacated the room in half hour.
For which the manager said i will call the owner of the lodge and get us what the can resolve this. The mager came after the call with his boss and said we wont refund any thig its not their falt as we checked in 1 hour early. This was not rigt the manager said room is ready exept for 1 pillow.
Any ways it not safe if you are treveling with family.
Pictures were very deceiving. We always booked with Booking.com but this time we have to doubt and will make us think twice next time.
- Graeme (1/5): Bad - Arrived to find one towel no soap in the bathroom or for washing dishers. Spoke with on site staff, to be told there was none, I requested a refund and advised there was none and I could do what I wanted. Went to the local supermarket and spent over 50.00 on towels and required soap to be able to stay. There was very limited stock so I think this cost more than it should.
- Camile (1/5): Bad - Didn't enjoy it Didn't meet its expectations. Mold in the rooms holes in the wall
- Bill (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERER - We did not stay as it wasn’t as advertised and the beds were disgusting and the room furniture was better let at the tip. The truck parked in front of our room is not our car. Emergency housing.
- Patrick (9/5): Superb - The rooms were large and lots of hot water
Kitchen was good utensils etc provided
- Sabine (7/5): Pleasant - Convenient location, parking in front of the room.
nice staff Kitchen: not enough pots to cook.
- Arikana (1/5): Bad -
- Edward (8/5): Very good -
- Ina (1/5): Do not stay here. - Disgusting. Once we saw the rooms, we left and found alternative accommodation. Beds were unmade and looked like they had been slept in. Mould on ceiling and stench in the rooms. The photos and description on the website misrepresent the property. Dog and children wandering around car park unsupervised. Do not stay here. Unit was not appropriately clean or set up for paying guests. There were three pillows (unit sleeps 4) and one towel. No face cloths or hand towels. No soap (but had been warned of that). Windows and glass doors were dirty. Furniture was very worn. The whole place needed a deep clean. The grounds were over grown. I don’t know how it can be advertised to the public as accommodation. Shame.
- Hans (8/5): Very good - Location, room size No coffee provided. Bed ok but bad pillows
- Jennifer (6/5): Great staff, condition of the motel poor - Staff were nice Lack of things like cups,
Coffee, tea etc and condition of rooms. It felt like it was more of an emergency housing facility then a motel
- Mel (3/5): Don't do it! - There was nothing good about this motel. The ONE time I forget to check reviews and we paid for it! There was so much not to like! 2 people for a 2 night stay had one towel (to share? Wtf) one mug, one spoon, 2 coffee sachets and no milk. The road noise was awful. Ants. Loose toilet seat. Terrible wifi. No top sheet on the bed and the mattress was damp. No shampoo or toiletries. Tiny rubbish bin. The room shook when trucks drove past. I could keep going.....
- Vear (1/5): Horrible - Nothing - appallng Appalling - very tired motel and run down. Bed and couch saggy. Bed had a bed bug and checked for more. Not very clean. Only coffee, had to ask for tea, sugar and milk. No shampoo etc, asked for soap. Only towels, no flannels, hand towel, bath mats etc. Both bedside lamps broken. I could go on
Absolutely not recommended.
- Caleb (1/5): Extremely Disgusting & Deceiving - The photos are clearly from many years ago. This place is extremely run down and in a state of disrepair and repulsiveness.
This place should not be open to the general public.
It appears this place is used for temporary housing, and it should ONLY be used for that if they want to do that.
It is so disgusting you have to question where you will contract diseases staying here in all honestly. 1. Mould on roof in all rooms
2. Room stank like a meth lab
3. Mattress was disgusting
4. Floor had what appeared to be blood stains all over it. Key was throw in the corner of the room under a table, requiring crawling in the dank carpet to reach it
5. Mirrors were mouldy
6. Ants everywhere inside
7. Broken handles on windows
8. Everything was stained, rusty etc
9. One towel that stank for a couple and nothing else
10. Walls had disgusting marks and holes all over them
11. The others staying are of highly questionable nature and make you feel very uncomfortable. They appear to be long term residents.
- Bill (1/5): Never staying at this motel again - Motel was not clean missing cutlery promised milk which did not arrive had a puppy invade the room would rather sleep in my van than stay at this motel. The reason it was cheap should have been a flag
- Ian (1/5): I didnt stay as not suitable. - Lodge being used for emergency housing so I didnt stay. Rooms smelt bad and not clean. Reception closed when I arrived at 3pm as person taking a shower. Staff didnt know what they were doing. This property shouldn't advertise online while it is being used to accommodate emergency housing and even so it should be clean and not smelling terrible. As above
- Jensen (5/5): I wouldn’t stay there again. - It was nice and close to where I needed to be the next day. No coffee or tea. Had to ask for that plus toilet paper. No tea towels to dry my dishes. The microwave was all rusted inside.
- Dennis (1/5): If it's so budget, maybe make the cost $50 a unit - What a poorly equipped unit. Oven door unworkable as it falls off. You need to check out the utensils.
Very noisy unit, right near road . We were the only ones staying , wouldn't we have been better in a more internal units
- Stanley (3/5): Bad enough not to want a repeat stay ! - No daily service seemingly, stained and dirty carpet, stained duvet, lacking in basics like some cutlery and cereal plates, tea towel, dish clothe, face cloth, no room brochure or mention of WiFi for guests.... very poor.
Admittedly charging a lower rate than other local motels....but simply not good enough at any price 😕😐😒 Nearly everything !
- Bevan (8/5): I needed somewhere to rest for the night so was good to have somewhere with a reasonable Price . - I didn't order Breakfast . I had my own Food with me . I was able to cook up what needed. Just the Lights above the Bed weren't working . The main Lights were and were addiquit.
- Wendy (1/5): I was only there to sleep so I managed. - I was not able to get in until 9pm after trying for 4 hours, as the manager had gone to sleep and couldn't be woken. His English was poor and he spoke far too fast to understand.
There was nothing provided. No tea, coffee, milk. No dishwashing liquid, dishcloth or tea towel. When I requested them I was given a rag for a teatowel, it was a piece of a flanelette bedsheet cut up with 2 edges hemmed. The only cutlery was a teaspoon and 2 dessert spoons. Cups were dirty.
The whole place was very dirty, mirror in bedroom all smeared, and place smelly.
- Chloe (1/5): Would’ve rather ate the dead bird outside the Z Station than stay at this motel. - Absolutely nothing. The room had a foul smell, it was dark and dingy- marks all over the walls and ceiling. There was holes in the walls and surfaces were sticky. The linens were tacky and stained (accompanied by being horrible quality). Literally couldn’t even stay here. Booked another motel instead.
- Neville (5/5): average - close to where i needed to go the dod shit on my door mat
- Arikana (6/5): EMERGENCY HOUSING - The beds were clean and made.
The bathroom was clean and tidy
Close to amenities. The rubbish neatly stacked was not removed until called.
The dirty towels were also not removed or replaced with clean ones.
The beds and sheets were not replaced with clean linens.
- Katie (8/5): Very good - Good value for money Took sometimes to get keys or communication for after hour pick up of key
- Bevan (8/5): I'm happy with my Stay as I needed somewhere to rest for a couple of Days . - I didn't order Breakfast. I'm uten Free and Dairy Free .
Took my own Food and did my own Cooking . The light above the Bed wasn't working . Looks like it's been Damaged .
- Lucy (5/5): Was just a bed for the night so not a whole lot to be said. - Location in close proximity to where I was working. That old Motel smell. You just can't escape it.
- Hinemoa (1/5): Bad - The shower had hot water and the location was close to an event. Smell was musty and everything felt a little damp. There were burns on the floor, missing electrical parts. Not well equipped, eg nothing to have a cuppa with except the cup, kettle and spoon. Pillows were extremely shallow. Fittings were rusty and some corroded. Didn't feel comfortable to relax in or want to stay any longer than a quick shower in the morning. Grateful the bathroom functioned.
- Tau (7/5): Good -
- Danny (7/5): Good -
- Nick (1/5): Property feels very run down and tired. Could with a tidy up and make over. - Shower was not to bad. Property did not feel clean or tidy. Curtains were broken and hanging off, carpets covered in stains, one heater did not work, no hand soap provided and the property smelt very musty on arrival. There was a TV in the main room but only a small table and dining room chairs to sit on. The room was not serviced, it would appear you need to ask for this to be done if you would like it.
- Vowell (1/5): Disappointing and not even worth the low fee. - The ceiling was covered in mold, the whole apartment smelled. The room should not have been released out. The whole place needed a good clean. Would not recommend it to anybody.
- Brenzwalton (4/5): you get what you pay for, however are still left underwhelmed - Location was good, easy to find on main road, close to supermarkets, eateries and town. Very accessible to New Plymouth if you dont mind the half hour trip into the city Looks better in the photos, the grounds were untidy, lawns were maintained to a very minimal level, rooms felt very old and outdated.
Wallpaper peeling off walls, yellow color that was going brown
Would have preferred a sofa in the living area rather than a single bed, made watching the television in the evenings awkward and uncomfortable.
Lighting was insufficient and located off center leaving the room feeling dark.
Heating was only avalible in the living room by means of a instaheat panel, this left the bedroom very cold
Wifi was free but was slow and often cut out.
Property has potential, needs small investment
- Ameteolepala (3/5): Poor - no breakfast at all. I'm not happy at all. No service.
- Ashley (6/5): Perfectly adequate for our needs on an overnight stop. - AFTER I made the booking I noticed there were some reviews. Many of them left me little concerned BUT ... ...
Our overnight stay was much better tha the reviews suggested. We would have like to see spare pillows ( but due to comments in the reviews we had brought some with us, so not a problem on this trip.
Also, a lovely kitchen set-up but no tea-towels and no milk supplied.
- Kaushal (10/5): had an awesome stay - did not have breakfast kitchen needs towel
- Denise (1/5): Stay here at your own risk! - Not a lot to like about the premises. Close to town only thing going for it. Unit was terrible. Absolutely stunk of cigarette smoke. Stains on carpet so bad couldn't even see the actual color of the carpet. No glasses or sharp knife. Teabags are not in packaging, just bare bags in holder. Doesn't provide milk, no teaspoons, one dessert spoon though, so that was handy, no teatowel to dry dishes should you dare to use, everything sticky! list could go on, definitely not self-contained! Photos on the website show "toiletries " provided. We had 2 bars of Palmolive soap.
We were told NOT to go to reception and to call the guy if we needed anything. I asked for 1 extra towel... never received.
Overall, it's not a great place to stay. We were advised by several locals that this place is actually used for emergency housing and should not be taking paying guests. Did notice a guy walking around with an ankle bracelet on going in and out of his unit...
As all other accommodation in stratford booked out, we were unable to change to elsewhere
- Donna (1/5): Very disappointed with our stay & I hope this is removed from your website - Nothing at all really The smell in the room, it was dirty, there were no bathroom extras apart from 2 large cakes of soap. We had to ask for towels, there were no face cloths. There was a broken light in the bedroom with the wires exposed. We were told from others that this property has been used for transitional housing for a long time & this was evident with one guest wandering around with an ankle bracelet on. We were given a mobile number to contact the guy that was looking after the place & not to knock on the door of the office. I can’t believe you would have this property on booking.com
