Guest Reviews
- Cathy (6/5): - The beds are really hard ..
- bi (7/5): - I have a question: the receipt for May 4th shows US$369.77, but you charged my credit card an additional fee of $66.99 on the same day. I don't know what that fee was for.
- Townsend (10/5): Quiet , relaxing & very well kept. -
- Guy (6/5): -
- Robin (6/5): Not bad for one night. - The staff was friendly. It seemed that the full breakfast consisted of Pop tarts and bread. Very disappointing.
- Wesley (8/5): -
- Kevin (10/5): Well done - Convent to town great price All good
- Christopher (10/5): -
- bi (6/5): -
- Joseph (9/5): Would definitely stay there again. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Had a full complimentary - Friendly staff. Clean rooms Toilets tooooo low. Need update them
- James (8/5): - Room was better than expected and newly renovated. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Hot breakfast on the weekend and continental on weekdays. Very slow internet and not much hot water.
- Becky PJ (8/5): Great budget hotel in pricey location - Basic but clean hotel for a good price close to downtown. Great staff
- Lorraine (8/5): - Checking in staff was so friendly and helpful
- Kent (4/5): disappointedly no breakfast at reported time - location
- Bob (7/5): -
- Delores (7/5): Was okay. May not return - Nothing. Breakfast was not happening. Appliances not plugged in , limited offerings. Bagels and danish were stale. Thanks for the water ….
- Betsy (10/5): Stayed here to attend wedding of my friend’s daughter. Good location. Close to events. -
- Kate (8/5): - Only room left in St. Michael's . Breakfast included. Further from downtown pedestrian areas.
- Scott (7/5): - staff was delightful, close to downtown, but just too far to walk Breakfast was weak
- Miller (9/5): NO MORE QUESTIONS - The fact no one asked a bunch of questions THE FACT I HAVE TO ANSWER A BUNCH OF QUESTIONS!!!!!!
- Peter Arniotis (7/5): -
- Crystal (7/5): It was acceptable but could have been better. - The location was good, close to town. The staff was kind. The lady working in the breakfast room was sweet, attentive and kept the tables clean. The location of the room was tricky to find. We had to go find staff to show us how to enter the hallway where the entrance was to the back of lot and marked with a small sign showing room numbers. There is no closet or place to hang any clothes. There is no ceiling light inside the door. There was an open used bar of soap in tub and no toilet paper which led us to believe the bathroom was not cleaned?
- Michele (8/5): - Location to town Was out dated. Looked different on website.
- Marshalek (5/5): There was a roach trapped in a spider web on a wall sconce. That had to be there for at least a week. The room was much - Staff was exceptional. Bed not comfortable and bathroom was very dated
- Tyler (10/5): -
- Jill (6/5): -
- Lyndsey (6/5): -
- Karol (1/5): Horrible - Very dirty - nothing. The room was extremely dirty, dusty, the bathroom had the sanitized paper on it but yet the toilet was dirty (had pee in it someone didn’t flush). The “comforter” was 2 flat sheets. It smelled very musty/damp. The dust was everywhere, headboard, baseboards, the rug & chairs had stains on them. Just bad overall. We checked in around 1pm & left the same day around 2pm. It was the worst room i ever booked.
- Sharon (10/5): -
- Terry (7/5): It was amicable - wished to have stayed longer. - I think it looks like off season. Bath tub was clean but it did not stop up, so bath was possible. There was no breakfast - it was closed. Manager/owner wasn’t very cheerful. However he did let us check in early bcus my friend had a medical emergency, which is why we were unable to stay the second night. Checked out 3/29/26. Requested a refund if possible for second day. Have medical documentation that my friend fell and had a broken knee cap (per MD Hospital).
- Tammy (2/5): Would not stay here again - They said they offer breakfast but all they had was pop tarts and breakfast bar and no coffee Dirty, dingy
- danielle (6/5): Quiet, comfortable, safe. ~ halfway between Baltimore and OC. - Quiet. Housekeeping could be a little better.
- Chelsea (7/5): -
- Susan (9/5): This motel was clean and updated, conveniently located to St. Michaels and other attractions. - Clean room, new furnishings, everything worked, convenient location, good pricing/good value. Much appreciated. Close to St. Michaels. We spent half a day at the St. Michaels Maritime Museum, understanding the history of African Americans, early settlement, and industry in the area; and a day at Blackwater Wildlife Preserve and Harriett Tubman Museum, and drove the length of Hooper Islands. Ate in several of the quaint restaurants in St. Michaels, and enjoyed the waterfront parks. This is a motel which has been remodeled and it's quite comfy and a good value.
- Mark (9/5): The Inn that fooled the British. - Perfectly located to the historic town of St Michael’s!
- Luis (6/5): - Staff friendliness to us was important being the first time we were there as guests. Coffee and snacks helped to start the day. Rooms were not tended on a daily basis. Our trashcan overflowed and beds were not made. Room not cleaned during our 3 night stay. The air conditioner/heater was loud.
- Clifford (6/5): -
- Mark (9/5): A great year round Inn! - A fine Location and just a short distance to downtown St Michael’s.
- Mark (9/5): Friendly staff and accommodations were just fine. - Location was perfectly suited for my deeds. I was able to get a reservation in a short amount of time.
- Linda (10/5): Great stay at St. Michaels Inn - Breakfast was simple but provided something.
Show we were attending was in the motels' conference room. Rooms were clean & comfortable. Great value. Front desk staff was very friendly & helpful. Nothing
- Linda (10/5): Great getaway! - Front desk employees were extremely friendly & helpful. Rooms were great.
- DANI (8/5): - Very convenient Under construction
- Jonathan (10/5): -
- Laura (7/5): Good value - Clean room and good value for the area. WHat you would expect from a motel Front desk did not have anyone there after 9p and before 9a. Breakfast was not available even though it stated that it was included. Staff told us it would open at 9a but it did not. This was also a Saturday into Sunday stay so I was really surprised.
- Carla (3/5): Not very good - St. Micheals is a motel. well-kept and clean, the shower water does smell like eggs. Do not expect breakfast or a helpful front desk receptionist (morning not evening, she was wonderful) or a clean helpful manager. Breakfast, the incompetent receptionist and the aggressive manager will keep me away.
just for future reference
Dear receptionist - The "face of the hotel" refers to the front office department, including receptionists, concierges, and bellhops, who provide the first and last impression for guests. These staff members are responsible for greeting, check-in/check-out, and handling guest inquiries to ensure a positive, welcoming experience. The "breakfast" didn't really exist - There were no eggs or sausages or any hot food, even though there were dishes to serve it (empty), there was cereal but no milk. there was spoiled orange juice. There were bagels and bread that were out from the day before (according to the receptionist) and therefore were dry and hard and inedible. When I went to the reception (because there was no staff member there) the receptionist ignored me. After I returned a second time to ask when breakfast will be served, she was angry with me that she was not the address for complaints and was offended that I told her that she was the face of the hotel....
The "manager" finally arrived at the breakfast room - with a dirty shirt, pajama shorts and slippers and dirty along with the crying clerk (still offended for no reason) - angry and irritated and verbally attacked me, stood too close for comfort, ready to physically attack .another guest came and stood up to the manager (she and some other gests, also did not understand where the breakfast was ).
The final explanation we got was : this is a continental breakfast, and it's free, "do not complain".
on top of all this they wanted a tip....
- Susan (5/5): Ok, needs updating, not walkable to town. More $ than value. - It was nice to have breakfast included. Bathroom door didnt close. Entire place needed updating. Wasn't close enough to walk to town.
- Kimberley (8/5): - Location was excellent. Staff professional and very friendly. Room was very clean and bed quite comfortable. Breakfast was just right to get your day started. Continental. Requested a quiet room and they put us on the far or back side of the facility. The property is set off the main road so we weren’t sure if it would be noisy, but we had been traveling so didn’t want to chance it. Staff was very accommodating. We will definitely return.
- Haddaway (8/5): - Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, bathroom was clean
- Hannah (9/5): - Nice clean and quiet place to stay.
- Bryan (8/5): -
- Jennie (8/5): -
- Susan (6/5): Adequate for the area. Super nice staff! - Hot water, clean sheets, comfy pillows, fluffy towels, working TV. So I suppose that's what's required. Fairly dated facility. Could use a lot of upgrades to the physical plant.
- Kimberly (1/5): - Blood stained sheets
- Timothy (4/5): We ended our stay a day early, only stayed one of the two nights we paid for. In advance ,wanted a refund - Location was good, pool was nice Room was older and not very nicely decorated, felt like we were in an old Motel
- Destiny (10/5): Pleasant - Location More comfortable beds
- LORETTA (9/5): - The room was small, but comfortable and very clean.
- Kathy (8/5): Good hotel for the location to Town - The location to the Town of St. Michaels is perfect The bedroom and bathroom are dated.
A very small television
- Dana (8/5): I loved staying here and will be back! - I loved the location to the downtown area. The staff was excellent. The room was clean, and the value was great in comparison to other places around. I will be back for sure! Slow drains and the smoking area could of been a little nicer.
- Desmond (3/5): - Not much to like I had requested handicapped facilities for my wife who had a stroke and right sided hemiplegia but request was denied.
- Michael (6/5): - Location Mattresses were the word we have ever slept on, no breakfast the coffee machine was out of order, no juice or muffins and no employees were around. We have stayed at this inn many times before and will not stay again.
- Amy (9/5): - Comfortable rooms, right sized, convenient location next to market and close to St Michaels. Property needs updating and breakfast was not adequate.
- Dijana (5/5): -
- JANE (8/5): - The breakfast. They ran out of eggs , pancakes and pastries and didn’t replenish them when there was another 1 1/2 hours of them remaining open. When asked about additional food, the reply was - we’re out! As a result, there weren’t many choices remaining!
- John & Barbara (8/5): We would stay there again. A little price for the age of the establishment. - The location to the town is St. Micaela was outstanding. Other than the traffic trying to leave the premises it was good. Close to a market and several fast food establishments. All were within walking distance. The breakfast was sparse. Only had eggs and sausage as a hot food(2 days out of 4).
- CONSTANCE (10/5): Hope to stay again. Having the grocery store next door was a plus - Breakfast was very good
- Elayne (8/5): Pleasant. Short drive to restaurants and shops - Nice continental breakfast was included.
- Faye (2/5): Staff amazing, accommodations disgusting. - The staff were amazing, friendly, funny accommodating, and apologetic. While the staff and location were perfect, that is where the compliments end. Oh, and it had a Bates Motel vibe. THE ROOM
Let me start by saying I a not a spoiled, prissy, high maintenance human - but I do have standards. My friend and I were assigned rooms in the back of the establishment which I didn’t care about. What I did care about was as I cracked the door open I was assaulted with an intense moldy, stale, dusty smell. As I looked around, it was obvious the place had not been cleaned in a while. No problem, I told myself. It’s one night, I told myself. I’ll wipe off all surfaces (though I shouldn’t have to) myself. Decision made, but in order for me to clean I needed to air the room out (the smell was that bad). Nope. Window was sealed. I sat for about 10 minutes trying to decide the next course of action. The answer came in the form of an intense headache… within 5 minutes… because of the odor. I still sat hoping it would recede. Didn’t happen. Time to get out. I went to the front desk (lovely people), explained what happened and was accommodated (though the inn was “full”) with a “freshly cleaned” room over the check-in office. The room was 85% cleaner. It was dusty, but not anything like the first room. The carpet (please take disposable house slippers (which I take everywhere when I travel)), needs to be replaced. The linens are threadbare and need to be replaced. All that aside, I felt 100% better because I didn’t feel like I needed to sleep in a sleeping bag on top of the spread.
POOL
The pool area (which I did not use because it was ridiculously hot) was okay, but more than two (2) umbrellas should be available for guests. Suppose ten people wanted to use the pool? Shade for two.
KITCHEN/BREAKFAST AREA
Can we say deep clean and upgrade EVERYTHING please? I had a cup of coffee that looked like motor oil. I drink my coffee black. Nope, nope, nope. My friend uses creamer. No amount of creamer in the world lightened the color of the swill to… black. I didn’t even bother looking at the food. We left and headed to Talbot Street and got excellent sustenance there.
- Sandra (8/5): -
- narcisse (1/5): Didn't stay. Left right after check-in - The room was old and not clean. The air was moldy. It was a disgusting experience. Everything
- krystal (7/5): -
- Joe (8/5): -
- Nicholson (6/5): - The location was convenient. The water for the shower was luke warm, not hot. Breakfast was terrible. There was coffee to brew in the room but only one coffee cup.
- Amanda (10/5): - The value and the location
- JOSEPH (3/5): Spend a little more and stay somewhere else - Location Breakfast
Smelly water
Outdated
- Pamela (8/5): Convenient, reasonable accommodations in a comfortable room; staff was friendly and helpful. - Very convenient location, with friendly staff. Cost was reasonable, and we were upgraded without request. water smelled funny and it took a long time for the hot water to come to the tub.
- shawnrnc (8/5): Surprisingly nice - Clean
Nice staff Very dated
Shower didn't drain properly (stand in the water)
- Joan (10/5): - Corner room some privacy and great location N/a
- Wes (10/5): Perfect hotel for the price in St Michaels - Staff was very friendly and room was very clean Mattress not very comfortable
- Frederick (7/5): Great facility. One staff member lacks people skills - Clean organized had breakfast good value One staff almost busted down the door and threatened us at 12 noon. Had planned to book another night. But after that aggressive episode we thought might be better to just leave.
- ONeal (10/5): - We had a last minute situation and had to book a room fast. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and accessible.
- Michele (8/5): Staff was phenomenal! - Close to city center We’ve stayed here the last two years. This year we had to stay a two night minimum.
Our refrigerator had to be replaced due to ice buildup and the door wouldn’t stay closed.
- Briggs (9/5): Excellent comfortable stay with great facilities and location. - Comfortable room, great facilities, able to use microwave and frig, friendly staff, good location at entrance to town no issues
- Laurent (5/5): Fair comfort with good value for price - The hotel is located a little outside Saint Michael, easy parking. Value for price was good. The hotel is located on the street so do not expect a quiet environment. Rooms are cleaned but not all renovated yet.
Staff was not very friendly: said no to basically all our asks. For example, they claimed the hotel was full and refused to change our room from a Kind to to Queen which was saw was available throught he window...
Also, there is no real lobby to hang out.

- Sofía (7/5): -
- John (10/5): -
- Jacqueline (8/5): -
- Erin (7/5): Good enough for what I needed - The location was good and the staff was really friendly The water smells, and I felt like it could’ve been cleaner. It was very dusty.
- Mccurdy (9/5): - Breakfast
- Karrie (5/5): - Breakfast The high rate per night and $50 charge for a small dog. All very noisy from room behind ours.
- Sharon (10/5): -
- JavieraC124 (10/5): Perfect stay right outside the busy streets of St. Michaels! - We had an amazing experience here! We stayed one night as I was running the half marathon in town in the following day. The lobby was so welcoming and warm, and the room was exactly what we needed. Very clean and exactly the amenities we needed. I also love that it is just outside of the busy streets of St. Michaels, which made it more relaxing and quieter. It only took about 2 minutes to drive into town for dinner. And I love that you can park right outside your room! We will definitely be staying here again.
- Harvey (10/5): - Everything was excellent!
- Lynne (10/5): -
- ConnieM2153 (8/5): Very Pleasant Stay - We were very pleased with our stay. Room was clean, staff was helpful & friendly.
I will definitely stay there again and bring my dog next time!
