William (10/5): Stayed here on our 10 year wedding anniversary - My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary, the hotel looked cozy and nice from the booking info. It was absolutely a gem, easy walk to food, shopping, and the casinos, plenty of free parking, the rooms are spacious, and the bathroom was impressively large. The lobby is cozy and u can enjoy coffee or tea on couches by a nice fire. We enjoyed the heated pool and jacuzzi, we didn't try the adjacent restaurant but it looks nice. Nice hotel, give it a try!

Matthew (8/5): - It’s OK. Expedia rated this property at 9.0. This property is no where close to a 9.0. I am guessing the reviews are way inflated and this is discerning. I am ok with the place, but I selected this place at 1/2 the price of the grand reserve Marriott property across the street and it is not worth half the price. Maybe 1/3 the price or 1:4 the price. Just saying. I gave it a shot, but will stay across the street next time.
Lindsay (8/5): - We stayed on the back side of the hotel and it was nice and quiet. The room had a bit of a funky smell (maybe because the hotel is older), but the decorations were unique and it was clean. We really enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and bar/restaurant attached. I wish we had time to use the fire pit and the free s’mores package. The free breakfast is really just snacks and coffee, but it was appreciated. The complimentary drink upon check was a nice touch and a great way to end a long drive. We’ll be back at Station House!
SK (2/5): - Don’t use EXPEDIA …. They charged DOUBLE the going rate!!!!!!!!!! I put in reservations early … shortened the reservation by one night. I checked in and out with two other people I knew…. They checked in and out at exactly the same time as me…..I WAS CHARGED DOUBLE THEIR PRICING!!!!!!!!!! EXPEDIA COMPLETELY TOOK ADVANTAGE!! It SHOULDNT be legal?!!! Then there was the Station House itself. The front desk was rustic and charming BUT that’s where it ends…as you walk into the room, the smell of chemicals was overwhelming!! The front desk could see I knew the people checking in right after me and that I was paying double their stay…. They stayed the exact nights… I asked for a correction and they answered that Expedia was responsible for my billing….they got to capture $300 + as the middle man…AGAIN …. THIS SHOULDNT BE LEGAL?!!! The room was pitch black …. One of the others that checked in requested extra lighting to be able to see in the bathroom area!! They didn’t have irons … the staff ( whom was the only lovely part) did finally come up with a steamer…. That I was asked to immediately return ! Fortunately,was in Tahoe to attend an event up the street…. I can’t imagine spending one more moment in that room than I absolutely had to!! The chemical smell of the room was overwhelming and it felt as though you were in a cave or dungeon… the picture of the room had to have professional lighting for the brightness! Hopefully,this will serve as your warning DONT use EXPEDIA or Station
Nicole (8/5): Cute property - The staff there is excellent. They were all nice and helpful and we appreciated the free drink and cocoa/tea bar at night after the concert we attended. The property is nice and we liked the lounge area. The room was clean, but I will say the shower needed attention with cleaning and there was a definite musty smell to the whole room. That and the fact that the AC kept blowing the blackout curtains apart were the only reason why I knocked a star off.

Sandra (2/5): Very disappointed! - Family members were visiting from out of town which included 2 children, a 7 year old and a 5 year old. It was important to the kids that we stay at a hotel with a pool so I chose this hotel mainly for that reason. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for the entire duration of our stay. Upon check out, I mentioned our disappointment and the staff member offered us a 15% discount on the rooms to compensate us for not having the pool available. She said that she would give us a 15% discount on the rooms and credit our credit cards. Over the next few days, I looked out for the credit but it never came through. I called the hotel a few days after we checked out and mentioned that we had not received the refund yet and the staff member said that the manager would call us back. We never received a call back so I tried calling again and again and kept on getting the same answer, that the manager would call back. I called at least 5 times and no one ever returned my call nor did we ever receive a credit. This hotel is dishonest and a shady operation because multiple employees lied to us. I can understand that the pool may have issues and may not be available under unforeseen circumstances. What I cannot tolerate, is dishonesty and being lied to. Needless to say, we will not be staying here again.

Lovely wine offered upon our arrival at the hotel. Coffee and tea in the morning with cereal. The staff were extremely helpful upon our arrival.

Nice common areas; pool, outdoor area with fire oits, and cornhole. The property appears old, with recent "updating". They've done a pretty good job. The bed and bedding was very comfortable. The only real complaint is the check in process. Took about 45 mins. Only 1 computer, issues with their system, 2 people "working " but just getting in each others way trying to use the 1 computer.
Greg (8/5): Ideal - Very comfortable room and bed. The pool is nice and there are fire pits. One day there was yoga in the lobby area. The WiFi was great. I hosted a zoom conference without issue. Everything is walkable from here. There's a great private beach about 5 minutes walking and the hotel can give you a voucher. There's a nice restaurant connected. Great little coffee spot 3 blocks over in the lobby of the Coachman.
Verified traveler (6/5): Solid Value - Efficient, friendly staff, clean rooms, great pool & jacuzzi. Coffee and breakfast items in lobby are welcome. Awesome location. We were in on a Monday for a 5 night stay. We were excited noticing loads of room available in the hotel center instead we were given the empty 200 building on the backside of the facility with super tight parking. We felt disconnected from the heart of the hotel. They were not busy Mon - Thurs of our stay, but we grew accustomed to the quietness of the back building. We were told we had to pay $30 dollars each for the passes to Lakeside Beach. The reason given was because we didn’t book directly with the hotel and had booked with Expedia. She did, after a few minutes of me looking completely confused, gave us two complimentary passes saying any other passes would be charged to us. She was polite but firm. I did check website later and saw that notation about booking direct, however the book direct policy seems like it just makes us customers irritated and a money grab. So buyer beware. Overall a solid choice for location and value.

Janice (8/5): - Decent hotel with cute, updated rooms. Easy walk to the outdoor concert, restaurants and shopping. The breakfast consisted of coffee and oatmeal packets. The pool was out of service due to “the season” (front desk gal was all business, so I did not ask if that meant the pool is available during the winter months and patrons use the lake during the summer months (?)). Beach pass was $15, vs the usual $30 - free if you’re there before 9am. I would stay here again, knowing it’s just a clean place to sleep and shower.

Bernadette (6/5): - The location was the best part of this property. The rooms were very dark and older. There was no housekeeping which is common these days. However, the trash was overflowing and the sheets were not fitted so they were not tucked in and by the 5th day, it was a bit of a problem. The breakfast items were not stocked. Had to ask to replenish and she said they’ll be replenished as shipments come in. The only thing that wasn’t a problem to get replenished was the coffee. Some mornings, there wasn’t any cereal or yogurt. The breakfast already was only cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, individual packaged fruit cocktail and granola bars. Also, the pool was closed while we were there.. first week of August. We were out and on the go most of the days so we really only used the place to sleep and shower so it was doable. As I said, location was the main reason for staying there.

Marcela (6/5): - This is the 3rd time we’ve stayed here. The first 2 times we absolutely loved it, this third time was a struggle. Apparently they’re going thru ownership change and the service definitely showed. We were given the wrong room and walked in on other guest (oops). We then had to wait 20 min for one room to be done. The kids wanted to go swimming and there were no pool towels. It didn’t feel like a boutique hotel experience, it felt like they were short staffed and the staff that was there was doing their best to keep up. We won’t be staying here again.
Patricia (6/5): Office personel inefficient - Office personnel so disorganized that we had to leave camp richardson mid day, lose parking to return t9 hotel. Arrive to them saying oh we could have left you in that room all along. MY FIRST AND LAST vaca with my entire family interrupted.
Dilsherpreet (4/5): - The check-in was not good. We were given a room that already had guest in it. When the staff was notified of this, they didn’t apologize for the inconvenience. The room was decent. No iron.
Verified traveler (6/5): Frequent Tahoe Traveler - This website and the hotel website indicates you have free beach access. Which one of the reasons for choosing this hotel. It is a false advertisement. My family and I paid $95 to go to the beach with the "hotel vouchers". The beds are comfortable and the pool is nice. If your looking for beach accees it is NOT free!
Elizabeth (10/5): - Lovely rustic hotel with nice Cajun restaurant and enjoyable pool and hot tub. Lakeside Beach pass good for a sunset walk.
Keiko (10/5): - It is kinda old fashion style. We love it. Swimming pool, hot tub, fire pit and restaurant is good too. All staffs are very kind. It is very dog friendly place. Location is good to access beach and shopping area. I recommend this place and I want to stay here again.

Carrie (8/5): - This is a boutique motel. The rooms are cute and fit the area. Carpet is stained, but they allow dogs and there is a lot of snow and ice in winter. There were a few holes in bed blankets. Staff is very friendly. The photos on their website are definitely altered to add color and freshness. The room doors need painting, pool area needs new coat of paint. Again, staff is very nice and helpful, location is lovely and walkable to food and shops and beach. If you need a nice, safe place to stay with a pet or kids, it’s fine. Decor is fun, beds comfortable, and it seemed safe.
Deborah (4/5): - Pool area needs attention. It is very unsafe to keep broken chaises masked by mats. Remove and replace. Our bed was not made correctly. Sheets were very poor quality. Pickup breakfast option in lobby nonexistent, you paid for what? Room was dark fan noisy in bathroom. Last time coming

Cameron (10/5): Lovely Hotel - Charming hotel that feels like a lodge. Wonderful pool, spa, and happy hour. The hotel offered amenities including free popcorn, coffee/tea station, s’mores kits and a light breakfast bar. The hotel is within walking distance of the Heavenly shops and restaurants. We’re looking forward to staying here again in the future!
Sadaf (6/5): - The hotel is in a nice location between the $30 beach and stores/restaurants. However, the rooms are outdated, we had ants in the bathroom, only 1 towel (for 4 of us), and the staff are all unfriendly (except for the one guy with glasses who checked us in). The resort fee of $25 doesn’t make sense, the breakfast was lame (nothing healthy and no fruits) and no refills on most things when others overeat. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Amanda (8/5): - Upon arrival- they may have been doing some training - the front desk was not too friendly- seemed off. Did not give us any information regarding the amenities of the hotel. The hotel room was clean. Our bed and pillows were horrible extremely squishy and hard to sleep on. The parking was okay gets quite crowded. I am not sure what the resort fee covered as we didn't see any amenities except the pool? The location was great close to private lake and Heavenly village.

Jenna Loise (10/5): - I enjoyed my short stay at the station inn. They have a vintage cabin charm. They allowed an earlier check in and even provide a welcome beverage. It’s walking distance to Lake Beach, which has an entry fee. The restaurant Toulouse had good food! I would definitely come back when I stay in Tahoe.
John (4/5): - Liked the fire pits and s’mores….otherwise, there are so many issues. Rooms are so dark you could not see in your suitcase. My one bedside light was flickering, the sink did not drain and the safe did not work! The carpets had huge stains on them, the shower is poorly designed…had to get in And get wet to turn the shower on! When I checked out I gave feedback about things that needed fixing and the desk person did not even take notes! The food offered for breakfast was inconsistent and even non- existent! If you say you are offering yogurt and pastries and granola bars, have them out for people! A real lack of regard for the consumer in this case! We loved Lake Tahoe, your pace…..not so much!

Rachel (8/5): Beware of Ghost phone - Unplug the phone in your room! We loved this hotel and the service was excellent, but the phone kept ringing in the middle of the night- static on the other end. It was creepy and it ruined our night. First at 1:30 am, then at 4am, and after being woken up twice I couldn’t go back to sleep and the experience was ruined. The staff told me it happens a lot.
Emily (10/5): - The staff were very friendly and helpful. They didn’t mind that my family and I played charades (with two kids under 10) laughing and giggling in the main checkin area. We also enjoyed every consumable product in the room - shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hand soap, etc. It was all high quality. The pool was clean and well-maintained. The walk to both the beach and the shopping area at Heavenly were easy and convenient. We especially loved the s’mores around the firepit and the picnic area with corn hole! We will definitely stay here again.

Harmony (8/5): - Had a good stay. Would recommend. Main complaint was that staff do not answer the lobby phone. On several different occasions attempted to call with no answer. Ended up just having to come to the lobby in person to get a response both times.

Shawna (8/5): Perfect little getaway - It was a cute little hotel. We were greeted with a welcome beverage. The outdoor pool was the perfect temperature and the hot tub was perfect after a day of hiking. When we left we were given a parting gift of almonds to snack on for our trip home. The room was a little dark but overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Bob (10/5): Great choice. - The rooms are very comfy and quiet enough. Showers are nice water pressure and the office staff very nice no matter any questions you had. Pool area was very nice and clean and the restaurant had very good food sevice. Our family has definately found a nice place to stay in the future for our get togethers at a good price.

The location itself has all you could ask for, a restaurant attached for breakfast lunch and dinner, fire pits, games, movie nights in the lobby, pool, hot tub, and s’mores for guests!
