Guest Reviews
- Prince (2/5): Bad - Nothing good Not clean
- Krista (4/5): Atrocious hotel - The condition of this hotel was atrocious! No lights in the stairwell, furniture in the hallways, floors were filthy, check in area was filthy, dirty walls, etc….. My daughter, 2 grandkids and myself felt very unsafe and uncomfortable.
- kelly (2/5): - I called to let them know we were running late and wouldn’t arrive until about 9pm. When we got there we discovered they were apparently under construction. The worker at the desk had her children there running around. Everything was out of order and horribly dirty. The rooms were very dirty, no locks on the doors, exposed electrical in the bathrooms, etc. We had to leave and find new rooms but yet were charged because we didn’t cancel 24 hours in advance. We were not told when I booked or called that they were under reconstruction. The pictures snd description were VERY misleading! We were extremely disappointed!!
- Martin (7/5): -
- Joyce (2/5): - When we arrived they had no rooms and canceled our reservation.
- Mona (2/5): - Absolutely disgusting facility. Registered amidst “renovations”, saw the condition of the hallway and room, turned around and walked out refund or not. Wouldn’t keep a dog in there. Should have been condemned then completely redone and/or rebuilt. We wouldn’t even consider taking our shoes off in that room. Can’t imagine what the rest of the place looks like. Clerk was too interested in Harry Potter to even care. Want pictures? We’ve got them. Never again! The Company should be ashamed.
- David (10/5): - Excellent
- Jeff (2/5): - This place should not be renting rooms absolutely disgusting. We did not even stay
- Guest (1/5): Couldn't stay here, no accessible access to the accessible room. - I liked nothing at this location. I requested a handicap accessible room and there was no accessible route to the room. So we could not stay at the Super 8. No accessible access to the handicap accessible room.
We could not stay at this hotel.
- carolynn (1/5): We didn’t stay because you had NO ROOM!! - Nothing!
It was FILTHY and in great disrepair. FILTHY and in great disrepair.
Plus, the desk clerk was surly as she told us that, if fact, despite our PAID reservation, she did NOT have a double room for us. Thus we were left—at 7 PM!— trying to find another hotel in a very overbooked town.
- Guest (1/5): Messy - When I checked in the room I was assigned to was wide open and was torn apart. The furniture was in the bathroom. I went downstairs and told the desk associate, she was very apologetic, she got me into another room and said don’t mind the lamp on the floor. The room was fine but was dirty and definitely not guest ready.
- shannon (10/5): - everything
- Chales (6/5): Under Renovation - Renovations so furniture in halls.
Dirty room no trash cans or toilet paper.
Run down hotel.
- Gordon S (2/5): - I reserved online using hotels. I travel a lot and used to stay at that same super eight. Complete disappointment. The girl that checked me and took way too long and didn’t know what she was doing nor was she highly motivated. The curtain in the room was hanging off the hooks like a Third World country. The TV didn’t work in the attendant couldn’t get it to work. They told me there were no other rooms she gave me a receipt signing it and I checked out. I will not pay you and try to contact you to let you know that if the charge comes through on my visa, I will decline for obvious reasons. You have served me well in the past, but that property is a liability to you.
- Lindsay (1/5): -
- Kellen (1/5): - Nothing Everything
- Chad (1/5): Horrible and unprofessional operated and owned. - I accidentally left my room key card in my room..I got back to my room it was late. They had no staff working the night shift. They just left a sign up explaining they'd be back at 8am. I had to sleep in my vehicle for the night. I also require night time medication. It was locked in my room.
- Tricia (2/5): Don’t stay here - It was horrible. Someone was in the room that they gave us to stay in.
- John (1/5): Found another hotel for the same price that was much cleaner. - The beds weren't completely worn out Very dirty, the walls were dirty in all areas. The room smelled like a locker room after a hockey game.
- Jerry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Moises (6/5): - Good place for a night's rest but would like to see some more for the free breakfast.
- dylann595 (10/5): Good - I'm hear in Williston for work I'm a heavy equipment operator. But do to the weather we could not work for the day and check in time is not till 3 in the afternoon but they leet me check in ar 8:00 in the morning. The girls that work the desk are awesome they will go out of there way to help and to accommodate you.
- 86anth (4/5): Less Than Super - The staff was great, location was great, and the price was great. However, I could not get passed the dingy carpet, the many stains throughout the room, and the fact that over half the lights did not work.
I told my wife we would never skimp on hotels again after this experience. I think the whole building should be demolished and rebuilt to be honest. Maintenance has definitely not been kept up on and it severely needs a remodel at the very least. I feel bad for the people who work here. Maybe they could turn it around with some major funding.
- Stevenson (3/5): They have one good house keeper it was a black Jamaican - They had bed bugs and I was moved to a room that didn’t
- Devin (2/5): Get what you pay for. - Stained carpets. Damaged walls. Floors in hallway filthy. Pool empty despite sign saying they had one. Breakfast included was a toaster a loaf of bread and some granola bars.
- Denislav (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathleen A (2/5): - No tissue in bathroom. No drinking cups in room. Bathroom was dirty. Clean towels had dirt on them. TV didn't work. Air conditioner didn't work. Kids running up and down hall on the floor above me. Hallway carpets not cleaned the whole time I was there. Will not stay there ever again. Has really gone down in all areas.
- Justin (2/5): - The staff decided to just leave for the whole night. Keys don't work to rooms. Locked.out.of room all night. Phone numbers not answered.
- Mark (2/5): - No one at front desk to check in!!! Had to find another hotel and cost me over $200 more😡😡😡
- Tatenda (2/5): - Waiting for 2hrs at the reception desk there's no one to check guests in
- Amy (4/5): - They have no pool or hottub anymore which i not aware of till after i checked in and the gal dig great with changing me to a different room and upgraded to king.. the 1st room bedding was dirty and beer can in it. 2nd room curtains were gross
- G4632WDrossw (10/5): I wasn’t do to receive my unemployment check until Wednesday morning and I got their around 5:00 pm needing a shower 🚿 - Tessalee, Makayla are the BEST FRONT DESK HOSTS THAT I HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF CHECKING INTO THE HOTEL UNDER. The cleaning staff ladies are the sweetest and also the maintenance man truly try their hardest to please the guests. Thanks 🙏
- Djedje (2/5): - Bad experience
- Ashley (1/5): LONG - The staff was nice The filth. The whole hotel was over all dirty. The rooms were unfortunately even worse.
- A7205KPmatthewl (10/5): Boom - Half pillows are nicer on our necks. Hope at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. She confidently answered any questions we had. Great location near food and entertainment. (For Williston) We're thinking of staying another week.
- Adam (4/5): - Not terrible, but lacking TLC.
- Chantal (2/5): - The room was so hit we coudnt breath coking in. We opened the window and the door to vool it off. The shower half worked leaking water. The ceiling was molded in bathroom with celing tiles missing. The cream for fofee was all rotten. The pool was empty of water and looked closed for good. Please dont stay here.
- 629shannane (10/5): Shout out to the GM - Thank you Jean for making our stay the best. You are an amazing individual. You have helped us during our stay and made everything about it great. Want to say thank you to the staff. We will returned to this location in the future. You welcomed our family and gave great service at this location.
- Russell (2/5): - Sent a text regarding attempted check on. Person at desk very unpleasant. When clarification requested on in house fee of $6.95, heneral manager stated she did not need to put with my attitude. She ripped up reservation papers and kicked us out of hotel
- Resort04440399408 (2/5): Horrible - Door to room wouldn't lock and didn't need key to open. No coffee pot but was coffee. Rate keeps increasing every stay by lest 10 dolars. Booked room first night and they wouldn't except it because it was after 10 pm check in. If booked online than there is another 8 dollar charge to pay as well
- William (4/5): - Average
- ryan (4/5): - I was over charged place was rundown I would’ve rather stayed in my vehicle than here
- montabont (10/5): Best value in Williston - Clean rooms, friendly staff, piece of mind and all at a great price. Super 8 is the best value in Williston, North Dakota. I'm definitely coming back. Jean was awesome, she really cares about treating her guest well. Thank you Jean for a pleasant stay
- C4486WSjosez (10/5): Best affordable Hotel!! - I am a truck driver, I don’t need a 5 star hotel to wait for a load. I have a place to park and an outlet to plug my rig in. So me and my truck stay warm and comfy this season. Jean checked me in early and let me know that at 3pm the room I wanted would be ready, and she would switch me out. That was very nice. The beds are very comfy. Plenty of channels on the TV. And the soaps and lotion this place uses are very good. The location is by everything I need, from food to laundry, to haircuts!!, groceries as well
- Brian (4/5): Super 8 was not so super - Need more workers, no pool or breakfast as advertised. Room was not well cleaned. Manager was friendly and helpful but overwhelmed by not enough staff.
- Rv (2/5): - …
- Ross (10/5): Williston, ND - The room was great especially for the $ I’m living on an extremely tight budget. The GM is so much like I’am. Lives her job and doesn’t mind putting in the extra hours to make sure things that need fixed are being fixed. Everything will be completely back to normal ASAP.
- Rod (2/5): - Unsafe. Room door broken, Smoke detectors ripped from wall. Load and aggressive people. Room had strong odor of bleach and decay.
- 677roda (2/5): RED FLAG alert - Do not use Expedia or this hotel! - This was one of the worst hotels I have seen in years. I've been in cleaner, safer hotels in 3rd world countries. The fire detector was torn off the wall (see pics). The door to my room was so loose, you couldn't really lock it correctly. There was this foul smell that was a combination of bleach and rotting flesh - Un believable. Once I say how bad this place was, I immediately went and checked out. I wasn't there more than 20 min. I had paid online and in-full. They refused to provide me a refund. Expedia also failed me. they were absolutely zero help. DO NOT book through Expedia and definitely never stay in this awful location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room overall was great, checking in took over a hour.. was assigned a room but someone was inside
- Donald (10/5): - Housekeeping could be better.
Furniture not wiped clean.
Floor not vacuumed.
- Sierra (2/5): - The new front desk manager stole money from my card, then yelled at me for being upset about it. Sorry but you just tried to charge me 1100, after j was given a weekly rate. DO NOT GO THERE.
- Sherrianne (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (8/5): - Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was pretty decent. Some guests were loud and noisy. Guest laundry was out of order.
- Austin (7/5): Good -
- Abigayle (1/5): Bad -
- Beau (1/5): Bad -
- Bryan (2/5): - Tried to check in no one was there and said be back the next day at 8 am so my money has been pending ever since
- X (1/5): Never again - Nothing at all Horrible conditions and unprofessional service
- Karen (5/5): Passable - The staff is amazing
- Jeremy (5/5): Passable -
- Erick Daniel (10/5): - Excellent
- Erick Daniel (10/5): - Excellent
- Erick Daniel (10/5): - Excellent
- Siding (1/5): Very bad customer service, the staff was very rude when they told us to leave because they did not trust us and the paym - nothing everything was bad
- Gerald (1/5): Bad - I got into town late, 10:50 pm, on the 13th.
The two people at the front desk said that they had sold my room because they were overbooked. The second person mentioned that they had rooms that didn't get cleaned...
- Jim (2/5): - Horrible service from staff. Made a reservation but didn’t stay. Would not give me my money back. Had to go to another hotel.
- Unnikrish (5/5): Passable -
- Pamela (6/5): - Cheap place, quiet but kinda dirty and needs upgraded.
- jeremiahg294 (10/5): Visually rough but the people make up for it. - Went for work, the hotel itself is a little rough but the people are cool. The guy at the front desk, I think Taylor was his name, was very helpful and always willing to help if he could. The housekeeping staff was also very friendly and swift about their tasks.
- kieranh888 (10/5): 10/10 supper and generosity - The employees are amazing Kind and caring people helped out with whatever I needed assistance with I they never had any negative attitudes they were always upbeat and respectful and quick with whatever they were asked to help with, they were funny and always workin hard at whatever task they had and always finished with perfectly and in a timely manner
- Jessica (5/5): Passable -
- Robert (8/5): - This location was very handy to my travel plans. Check in was pleasant and efficient!
- Scherr (6/5): Pleasant -
- Frank (6/5): - Good value for price.
- Robert (1/5): Was a complete let down. The staff at the front desk was rude and looked like was on crack. - So dirty and smells so bad. The room was so unclean as well as the towels in the bathroom.
- R5110RLmarcusb (10/5): I give it a 10/10 - The staff are super kind and willing to help. The beds are comfortable, and management is great. I would stay at this hotel again. I like the staff bc I made friends with them and they are super nice and caring. Williston is a great town. I recommend this hotel to others.
- Mian (1/5): Bad -
- Jim (4/5): - Hotel very outdated, stains on rugs and sheets, unsafe outside, squatters outside, breakfast was terrible, windows so dirty you could barely see out of them. This should not be on Expedia.
- Donald (8/5): - 2’ ceiling tile over the tub/shower in the bathroom missing. Advised cleaning staff member when leaving.
- Tracie (8/5): Very good -
- Lee (10/5): - This property has good customer service with helpful staff.
- 314judyv (4/5): Think Twice - The hallways and stairs in this hotel had not been vacuumed/cleaned in sometime. The bannisters felt dirty. Our room also needed a good vacuuming. The carpets were stained. New carpets would help tremendously. Bed frames were sticking out from under mattresses - causing bruised legs. I would recommend folks think twice before staying here. Decaf coffee in the coffee urn in the lobby was not decaffeinated per the clerk.
- Sierra (2/5): - I wouldn't recommend, if I would have known the condition of the hotel I would have never booked this room. My ac did not work at all, mold, stains, just dirty. The shower looked like it had never been cleaned. We witnessed an arrest right by our window, I had to carry in anything in my toolbox cause it just felt run down and dingy. A refund would be great, cause that was a very poor impression, if I had the extra fund I would have booked somewhere else.
- John (2/5): - Well the air contioner didnt work as well as phone or tv
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Solid low star
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlsta (7/5): Great for what I needed - The location
- Isaac (2/5): - First i had to wait for one hour to be check in, because there was nobody there, and then ac unit wasn't working, so the room was hot.
- Rubio (2/5): Dirty room, sheets and pillow cases are stained. Hotel smells, filled with people off ill repute. - Housekeepers lost my things when they cleaned my room
- Raymundo (3/5): Poor - They said they were going to charge me $387 and I checked my bank and they went ahead and charge me for the whole week even if I left early.
- John (1/5): Bad - The bed was clean & comfy. The floors were filthy. Ceiling tile over bathtub was black with mold. Had to call for towels as there were only 2 wet bath towels: no mat, no hand towel. No washcloth. Fridge was cold but freezer was full of frost so we could not freeze our ice bag for our cooler.Breakfast was a joke, toaster was so filthy we would not use it, went out for breakfast.
- Rebecca (6/5): Pleasant -
- R3878RHlukek (2/5): Get a tent you will be better off - We are currently sitting in this hotel with zero water. Tv doesn’t work either. They over charged my card. We might as well of just bought a tent and stayed in it. No word on any sort of a refund or anything as the only answer we got to having no water is the manager is on vacation.
- Alexandr (2/5): - Dirty. No internet.
- Frederick (4/5): - First room had a broken toilet. Second room no place for suitcases, no hangars, and the chair was broken. And the a/c didn't work.
- Lynette (2/5): Stear clear! - Room didn't match description, air wasn't working, neither was tv, crammed 2adults, 2teens, and an 8 yr old in the smallest hotel room I've stayed in yet with only one king bed. Could hardly fit a roll away in the room, had to put my son on the floor. Will not be returning. Front desk guy was great, but he was very overwhelmed with all the complaints from guests. Running around like a crazy man...felt bad for him.
- dmkv (2/5): Horrible Hotel-Avoid - We had a horrible experience checking in and getting to our room, and did not end up staying.
We had a reservation, arrived at 3:00 pm, however there was no one at the desk, and no clean staff could be found. After about 5 minutes, including ringing the bell, we left to do some shopping and returned at about 4:00.
There was a person at the check in, and two cleaning staff were sitting in the lobby chairs on their phones.
Our first room smelled of smoke, though the hotel is non-smoking.
We were moved to a second room and there were two pillows on the chair with no pillow cases. A cleaning staff member brought two pillow cases, and as the bedding was pulled back, there was hair on the sheets.
Additionally, there was dried urine stains on the toilet seat, and we were unable to get the tv to work.
This room was obviously not cleaned, though they tried to pass it off as such.
The hotel is older, and showing it's age, needs a lot of updating.
We then checked out/cancelled our stay, and headed to another hotel in town where we spent the night.
Super 8 should do a spot check on this hotel, and I am sure they would be embarrassed, after seeing it, to have it as part of its chain.
Our recommendation is to not stay here.
- Bert (2/5): King of dive hotels. - The place is disgustingly filthy. Stains on carpet throughout. No staff. Will not answer phone. Ceiling stained above shower. A real @“hole if that’s what you’re looking for. Some hotels should not be operating. Needs to be torn down.
