Guest Reviews
- Sasha (10/5): - 👍
- Kelly (4/5): - The front desk staff was bery nuce, helpful and professional. The room smelled terribly of cigarettes and lysol, so bad it was hard to breathe.
- Randolph (10/5): - Convienent
- Gary (6/5): - Yes, shops nearby. Problems with the refrigerator running, and when it did run, it was very noisy. Extremely strong smelling cleaning products were used on the room and we had to open the window and run bathroom fan to help clear the air.
- Allen (4/5): - About midnight the smoke detector started beeping. staff member disconnected the battery, and I assume plugged it back in. the detector was hardwired. Then a little later the fan in the AC started squealing and chirping. The breakfast consisted of orange and apple juice, two type of dry cereal, one green banana and 6 pieces of bread for toasting. Oh, and coffee.
- Chris (8/5): - Stayed for two days. Was good for what we were there for.
- Sue (8/5): - The property was nice but the breakfast left a lot to be desired. Thank goodness there was a Bob Evans next door. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. I will definitely stay again.
- Linda (8/5): - The stay was just for one njght. Toilet was really low to the floor, a!most felt like you were falling. Pillows not comfortable
- M (6/5): - No elevator, room key wouldnt work, had to change rooms, hotel was difficult to locate. Person on phone couldnt help and did not call back as agreed.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Nice foreign staff but filthy place. - The staff was excellent but awkward seeing them walk around barefoot. The room was from 1985. Stained carpet. Cigarette burns in comforter, dirty grime around bathtub. Most definitely a budget motel stay. They claimed no rooms on available on first floor. Meanwhile, staff family all lived on first floor. They kept doors open and it was evident.
- Martin (6/5): - It was good had a weird smell to the building inside. The pool was good and clean
- Gabe (8/5): - Breakfast was apples, bananas , and waffles. Beds was ok the bed skirt was dirty.
- Lori (6/5): - Needs updating
- Ann (10/5): - Clean and friendly environment
- Marilu (4/5): - It smelled like mildew. The free breakfast had no coffee or juice or water and only waffles and cereal
- Cathy (10/5): - Very friendly will be again staying there in the future
- Kayla (10/5): - Really respectful owners clean quiet planning on going back a few times and they actually listen to you instead of argue
- David (2/5): Worst experience ever. - We only stayed for a few hrs and ended up leaving. We arrived close to 11pm and the gentleman that checked us in was very nice. We got to the room and got settled in. Shortly after falling asleep (drove 9hrs straight) we were awaken by a crashing sound that made us jump out of bed. The entire covering for the air conditioner fell off. To make matters worse when we decided to leave the toilet wouldn’t flush and the shower was so disgusting we just packed up and left. I called the front desk and they said they would refund my stay… then they found out that I used you for the booking and then she said I’m would have to contact hotels.com as everything was locked on her side. That was also a nightmare dealing with Hotels support. In the end we got nothing other than a good lesson on using third party companies to book hotels. I will definitely go back to booking direct as things like this are unacceptable. Highly recommend not using that super 8 or hotels.com…
- Mindy (2/5): - Was not good the breakfast stuff was not stock day to day the plumbing was bad the shower was dirty the floors was not clean and there was stains on the top cover of the bed the pool was also not clean
- Herman (2/5): Smelly room - The Hotel and room had a terrible smell, I had to sleep out in the car most of the night, the AC didn’t work.
But the price was cheap for one night so I didn’t complain, but I will never stay there again.
- Brian (10/5): - Staff was amazing.
Room was clean
- Verified traveler (4/5): - When we first walked in, we smelled something horrible not sure if it was burned food or what it was. The room was filthy something was on the bed skirt I’m not sure if I want to know what that was! The comforter was definitely not clean! Something sticky on the floor by the sink “I’m hoping toothpaste” found a bag of chips stuffed at the corner of the mattress/ box spring, a kids toy , an actual key to something “we left it on the nightstand” oh & a mello yellow can… the breakfast was good until we found black floating things “maybe mold?” In our orange juice and apple juice probably wont stay here again… the only thing we did like was the pool
- William (10/5): - Friendly staff and comfortable room
- Lorraine (6/5): - I was in room 206. It is extremely noisy with the back door slamming all through the night. I had even noted a large rock holding the door ajar at times...that is a safety issue!
- joe (4/5): - We were not happy, didn't leave due because going to another hotel would be a financial burden. Our room was not clean. Bathroom floor was a awful. I cleaned it the best I could. floor in the entry way and around the breakfast are so dirty. Breakfast was supposed to be included, one morning almost nothing, The next it was closed up. No breakfast was offered at all. Should have taken photos. Can't believe Wyndam puts their name on this property. Will not return ever!
- William (6/5): - Coffee and cild cereal for breakfast. Good thing theres a Bob Evans next door.
Understaffed.
- Connie (10/5): - Front staff was very helpful and friendly. I stay x 2 days for a wedding event and it was in good location with stores & restaurants nearby.
- Annalisa (10/5): - The pool was very nice. The hotel felt clean and the owner is a very hars working kind man.
Breakfast is mostly diy waffles and cereal nothing fantastic.
- Misty (2/5): - Flat pillows pool not working keys stopped working mid stay. Breakfast was a joke.
Never again
- Eric (6/5): - What can I say? Perfectly adequate two-star property. Clean enough (mildew in toilet and tub...). Carpet could use a cleaning. Thin walls. Comfortable bed. Can't complain too much when you get what you pay for....
- Chloe (2/5): - Horrible nasty room. Rude front desk.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - 1st room: smelled like wet dog and ac stopped working overnight; changed rooms
2nd room: smelled like dog but ac worked
Breakfast: nothing to brag about; not a good selection of anything
Pool: filthy and gross
Overall, definitely needs updates, reminds you of an abandoned hotel, dirty, peeling paint, etc.
- Sabrina (4/5): - Rooms was big, it stated there was a hot tub well no hot tub only a cold pool with broken toys. And no mornings meals for 7-10am Sunday there was only yogurt.
- Michelle (6/5): - It was fine for one night, needs updating, plumbing worked, but barely. We were there less than 10 hours so it was fine. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful
- craig (10/5): - Great service!
- Dave (2/5): - Rooms not clean. Toilet not working. No cold water at the sink.
- Mary (4/5): - Room was filthy. Pool room rundown and water ice cold. Looked like people were living there and very loud and fighting in hallway at 2am. Hotel is supposed to be nonsmoking but smelled cigarette smoke. Spend the extra money and book elsewhere.
- Sandie (8/5): - The room was clean, the beds and pillows were comfy. The hallways needed to be vacuumed. The pool room needed heat, it was very cold in there, the pool room could also use some love, there was what I noticed black mold in the corner by the exhaust vent and the paint was peeling.
- Pruthil (10/5): - Very nice property; the staff is friendly and helpful.
- Roland (10/5): - Check in was quick and easy. Unfortunately the entrance that I was directed to Had trash and liquor bottles on the ground near the trash. It was disappointing that there was no alarm clock, no ironing board and no coffee maker in the room. The bed was fine and the shower was good.
- LYNETTE (6/5): - This property is getting very worn out and needs updated, The people there were nice enough but are foreign and dont speak good English. Thats the way it is in America now the foreigners are buying up all these motels. Pretty sad of Super 8 company to allow this.
- Judith (4/5): - The sink was stopped up, the blanket had a cigarette hole in it, some lights were burned out, and the heat did not seem to be functioning properly.
- chuck (10/5): - ok
- MICHAEL (2/5): - had room next to exit door and it bang closed every time someone entered or exited. ZERO sleep all night
- Jane (8/5): Sisters weekend - Hotel was quiet and clean. Very close to what we wanted to do.
- Judy (6/5): - We were put in a non-smoking room and when I turned on the air conditioner all you could smell was stale smoke smell. The light over the sink was dim and made it hard to see. The tub was dingy looking. Sheets were clean and hotel workers were nice.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Beds were comfy. Linens seemed fresh and clean. No bugs present, but based on our initial impressions of the property, we checked. Bathrooms could use a deep clean and a tube of caulk. Lightbulb was missing, and remote was broken. Staff was extremely friendly and professional.
- James (6/5): - Upon pulling bed linen, noticed what appeared to be blood stain on fitted sheet.
- Chelsea (2/5): - The first room the door did not lock, the TV didn’t work, and half the lights didn’t turn on. I told the front desk and she told me she thought they fixed the door. Well clearly the whole room was out of commission. The 2nd room I went to, the AC unit was broke and when I turned on the heat it stunk so bad I had to turn that off too. At this point I wasn’t asking for a different room for the 3rd time. I would not return. Def pay the $150 to stay at the hotel beside McDonald’s.
- Matthew (10/5): - When in the area this is my go-to place to stay
- Paula (4/5): - Pool was closed, lots of migrants
- ROBERT (8/5): - not the easiest to find.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Reported early morning that key card type door would not lock when we left the room. They said they would send someone to change the battery. 3 hours later we had to leave for the day and the door was not fixed. No one showed up. We had to pack up our suitcases and put in our car since we were leaving for the day and could not lock the door. Returned that night for our last night of stay, and Door was still not fixed.
- Sharon (10/5): - Only thing wasn’t good the pool wasn’t open
- Becky (8/5): - Overall a nice place to stay. Very clean and friendly staff. Only downfall was that the pool was shut down and the vending machines were broken.
- Josiah (10/5): - Ok
- Matthews (6/5): - I came to the area to bury a nephew. My focus and attention was strictly on that. Thank you.
- Valerie (6/5): - The pool was out of service, as usual. There was no coffee in the lobby after 9AM, and no coffeepot in the room.
Breakfast was poor, only waffles or cereal. There was no butter for toast either day.
- Sandy (2/5): - Was very disappointed when arrived. Went in and checked in. There was a sign sitting on counter that pool was closed because of problems. We would be on 2nd floor and need to take stairs. When got to room the light right inside the door would not turn on light above sink(just inside door). I went down to front desk and they would come look at-if not working would get different room. Couldn’t get light to work so said would get another room. I asked if could have one on first floor. Yes we could have one on first floor. Went to that room-walk in and the smell was bad. Some of the lights in that room didn’t work. Went back to front desk and asked for different room. Give us the room next to the one that smelled. We stayed in that one, however-some lights didn’t work in that room either. The sink didn’t drain well. Very old and bathroom needed help. Black on tub area cracks. This place needs some major up dates.
Would not recommend or stay there again.
- Kevin (2/5): - Condition of the property is poor
- Cindy (6/5): - Bed is ok. Smell of room gets better when you turn air on. Nice people... If you don't mind the constant smell of pakastani food in the hallways, it's ok.
- Andrea (2/5): - Rooms were not clean sheets were stained shower didn’t work in our other room would not stay here again
- Karen (6/5): - The property was run down. There weren't enough plugs for our things to charge. We had to unplug lights and clock. Place was supposed to have an elevator but it didn't. Shower was wheelchair accessible but the seat was too small for me to sit on. I am an amputee and need to sit. Not sure how they got the good ratings.
- Jeffrey (8/5): - Staff were very helpful and pleasant. First room was terrible and smelled like cat urine. They moved me to a different room and it was ok. Toilet seat was loose but room was clean.
- Doris (6/5): - No modern updates at this hotel. Very small tv in room. Locks in room did not work.
- Melissa (4/5): - Limited staff.
- Verified traveler (2/5): 0/10 - Check in was uncomfortable. Unsure if the family lives in the hotel? Their child was running around all alone. As for the room: The phone was covered in brown sticky gunk as well as the remote. The toilet did not flush and overall it was not a great experience.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not very happy with accommodations. Been better - The room had no toilet paper, the tv didn’t work and there was dirt on the bathroom floor.
- Tonya (4/5): - DO NOT book this hotel if you need handicap accessible rooms. They have No elevator to the 2nd floor rooms and hotel area were clean. Front desk staff was pleasant but not exactly the most accommodating person to deal with and a tad ignorant.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Pool water was green. Entire building was just gross
- Jennifer (2/5): - The hotel staff were not helpful. When trying to adjust our reservation the hotel canceled it and then told us there were no rooms available. If they were to give us a room, they lectured that someone else would lose a reservation. There were mouse/bug glue traps in the room and the towels were stained. We ended up paying for a night we did not use and were very unhappy with our experience. We will not be using this hotel again.
- Jeffrey (4/5): - No elevator. Had to carry 40 lb. Suitcase up stairs (though a little old lady on staff did offer to help). No meat for breakfast. Orange juice dispenser empty for entire stay. No tea bags. Room service never made beds or exchanged linens over three night stay. Rooms were clean.
- jason (4/5): It’s something! - It’s someplace to sleep but not recommended for the price or cleanliness!
- Steven (2/5): Left after 3 & 1/2 hours - We went there to use the swimming pool during my daughter’s spring break. Have visited this motel in the past and had a good impression from before. This time will be the last of that.
First frustration was when the television remote fell apart from trying to press the buttons. Went to the desk and they gave us a random remote for another brand of television. So apparently we weren’t going to be watching television.
Was hoping to savage the evening so we put on bathing suits and headed for the pool room. The keycard reader on the pool room wasn’t cooperating. I finally got the lock to open after 6 tries and we enter. Walked past wrappers and trash all around the floor to find an empty shelf where there are no pool towels.
Headed back to our room to grab our bath towels and couldn’t get back into the pool room. Not staffing the front desk the Indian family that lives in the facility expects you to grab the lobby phone and dial 0. When the surly man walked out he insisted that door worked fine, I guess I was a bother to him. He scolded me for bringing my bath towels after I told him that there were no pool towels.
The final nail was attempting to enter the unheated indoor pool on a 40 degree late March day. If these roach motels don’t want to maintain their pools then close them already!! Not the first time I’ve seen this stupid trick. Don’t hear the pool during the winter certainly decreases the number of people using it! Packed up and left!
- Sharon (8/5): - What is very convenient to the location I was visiting
- Jeffrey (4/5): - Went to spend a weekend away for my daughters birthday. Didnt get to swim as the pool was green. Clerk said its just that way. And then the power went out (uncontrollable) but we had to check out early. No compensation was offered or anything.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Highly don't recommend - I'm honestly not one to complain but I couldn't believe this place. We were down for a volleyball tournament and the room smelled like weed slightly then as the night progress the smell of cigarette smoke was so bad it was literally waking me up when the vents came on. The swimming pool was green. Refrigerator and tv didn't work. The other volleyball families had the same complaints as well. There was no where else to go so we tried to stay out of the room as much as possible until bed, got up early and left. We found sunglasses from the previous person there so cleaning wasn't done or not well. By far the worst hotel we've ever had to stay at.
- Brenda (2/5): - I paid 191.00 for 2 nights and i went in the first room and it stunk soo bad that i almost threw up it amelled like smoke really really bad!!!
Changed rooms and it also stunk and was disgusting and dirty. I had my 2 grandkids and i felt unsafe sanitary wise. I want a refund Please
- Jean (4/5): - Door wouldn't open properly. Fixtures in bathroom were in poor repair. Whole facility looked and felt rundown.
- Duane (6/5): - fire alarm went off, tub didn't drain,no breakfast.
- adam (2/5): - When i checked in for my first night, the lady that greeted me seemed inebriated and was hard to understand what she was saying. After being checked in, I walked in my room and noticed multiple stains on both beds comforters and sheets along with the shower being filthy.
I also noticed dog poop near the font door that seems to have been there a while and clearly not picked up.
By no means do i need fancy place to stay but this place was by far the WORST place i have ever stayed. I highly recommend no one stay here
- Brian (8/5): - The room wasn’t the cleanest. Soap and used wash cloth was in the shower
Lip stick was on the bed sheets
No tv remote control
The night manager a young woman was very nice and helpful. Also Dave the other night manager was very nice and helpful. The price was right but the quality was not.
- Steve (6/5): - We went to breakfast at 7:30 and the coffee was empty. There was nobody at the desk or anywhere else to take care of it. We gave up and we to the Bob Evans next door. Later, a person at the desk seemed not to care about the issue.
- Barb (10/5): - Everyone was very helpful with my momma and front desk was so amazing
- Elaine (4/5): ROOM OKAY BUT COULD HEAR EVERY NOISE IN THE PLACE - NOISY! Could year almost every word the people next to us were saying. The people above were STOMPING instead of walking. We thought they were going to fall through the ceiling. The toilet seat was loose so my husband brought in tools & fixed it. Way too much money for this place.
- Cruz (10/5): - Its a great place
- Amber (10/5): - Clean quiet
- Lawrence (4/5): - Quality and cleanliness has gone way down hill in the last year. Staff was non existent and when we did speak with someone they were of no help or service at all.
- Jerry (8/5): - Quiet and clean
- Matthew (6/5): - Budget friendly, but motel is in need of care. Trash cans outside running over, dead bugs in bathroom floor, chipped paint, no variety on breakfast bar, bread, couple apples, waffle maker dirty. Not kept well
- Jeffrey (8/5): - This hotel is what you'd expect from a Super 8. The room was decent for the price. We just needed a place to spend the night and this fit the bill.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Coming back home for a visit. - It was great for the price. Great orange juice. Host was friendly. Improvement from the last stay. Would stay again.
- scott (10/5): - We stay here every year at this time. Coahocton is a great little town, and the hotel is always clean, the staff friendly. The lady that works the desk at nights is always friendly and we're always glad to see her.
The breakfast ia great, the waffles are always amazi g
- Ron (10/5): - Nice and quiet. Parking lot could be laid out a little more conveniently but overall a very nice place to stay.
- Patricia A (10/5): - Everything was great except the bed. Not comfortable at all. The breakfast selection was very limited and the coffee was terrible.
- Scott (6/5): Good - Entered the lobby needing a bathroom, men’s out of order. Used the lady’s room, No paper towels to dry my hands.
Room was nice , clean and quiet.
- William (8/5): - Good Super 8 quality
- Anna (4/5): - Children running and screaming. Dirty carpets and bathroom. Little to nothing for breakfast to eat. Coffee tastes burnt.
- Brenda S. (8/5): - Breakfast bar could have more than cereal yogurt and toast. Fresh fruit would be a great option
There was no juices available either
- Arthur (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay. Quaint little town.
