• Carissa (4/5): - Toilet and sink were gross. Staff didn’t bring blankets when asked twice. Parking is odd for placement of rooms on back building. Breakfast was scarce at 7:30am
• Mark (6/5): - The room was nice enough but the AC fan was noisy and had only one speed. We couldn't get it to go on low speed. Talked to the front desk and they said they'd come up to take a look but never showed up? The room honestly wasn't worth the $180. Didn't eat breakfast there so can't comment about that. Parking was good.

They claim to have TV but I checked in and found the TV did not work so went to the front desk and was informed that the TV had been out for several days and they would do noting about including getting me a room where the TV worked or some type of discount. I wanted to watch the Cubs baseball game and would have not ever rented this room if they had told the truth upfront that there was no TV. Also the breakfast was terribly not healthy. Basically all they had was a unhealthy waffle.
• Jason (8/5): - The hotel is in a great location. The room was nice and big. The bathroom however needs work, shower curtain rode is falling off the wall, mold was growing through the paint.
• Jason (4/5): - The first room we were given had a sliding Patio door that would not lock, that room was also dirty and had a strange smell. Since the door didn't lock we were given a new room, the door locked but still had an even stranger smell. In the new room there was dirt all over the shower like it hadn't been cleaned and apparent red sauce, like Pizza sauce on one of the bed sheets. Oh yeah, and they allow pets - our neighbor had a dog in the room which barked until after midnight. We do not recommend this property.
• Colette (4/5): - The staff was pleasant. The place appeared clean at first glance. Our bathroom had all new toiletries and looked clean, but there was a towel hanging from a previous guest behind the bathroom door. Due to the time of year there were LOTS of bugs outside in the back. They were all over the patio doors and in the room. I killed about five in the room. I just felt like bugs were on me even though they weren’t. The back on the property sits on a creek/river and is very pretty but could use more TLC on the bank so as to enjoy it more. Lots of the screw. doors were just hanging on the frame or completely off.

• Heidi (2/5): Don't stay here! - Don't stay here!! Absolutely horrible. Beer bottles and garbage right outside our room. The room was dirty. The tv was connected to an outlet that if you shut off one of the main lights then the tv also shut off. The remote was missing so we called the front desk. He apologized and said can't you change the channel on the actual tv? Very unhelpful. The back door lock was broken so we had to place a chair in front of it all night to make sure no one came in. Worst hotel stay ever. I have never given this bad of a review.
• Claudia (2/5): AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! - I hardly ever rate where I stay but this place needs a -10 rating. This hotel is prob one of the worst stays I have had ever. There was black ash coming out of the A/C unit, the floor was dirty, bath and bathroom. Our sliding door did not lock and had to put a desk in front of it because the fri t office would not help. There were shady people outside our back patio area. Avoid at all costs!!!! And for how much they charge it’s unbelievable!

• jeffsE4133JJ (10/5): Great stay - Great place to stay. Staff was very friendly. Very clean room. Close to dow town for gas and food. We were there with 54 motorcycles.
• Laura (6/5): - Staff was very friendly. There was no elevator to haul up my heavy suitcase. The hair dryer was broken and the locks on the door were very loose. Even though we were on the second floor, the fact that the patio door would not lock was still disconcerting. I also found dead bugs on the table surfaces and the plastic cover of a razor on the bathroom floor. Finally the shampoo on the attached shower wall would not dispense. I feel like they could do better.
• Susan (6/5): - Location was perfect for us was the best part. The beds were comfortable and was pretty quiet. Downside is it smelled like old an old smoker and couldn’t lock the balcony door. They also need to clean the track for the deck door, full of mold and grime. If you want someone to enjoy the little balcony it would be nice if the screen door would slide, was too full of gunk. Should have taken a picture to post. Won’t stay there again.

Lots of debris on the parking lot from a week-old storm--maybe a quick brooming would have helped. Our keys didn't work after the first entry had to be redone. No shampoo. Noisy freezer, air went off and on many times during the night. Other than that, perfect.

• nancydK7214UT (10/5): Great place to stay - Good service. Friendly staff. Comfortable, clean rooms. We stay a couple of nights every few months. Breakfast included includes a variety of foods to enjoy. My family enjoys the fresh made waffles. Some of the rooms have their own patio or balcony.

• Cathy (8/5): Good review - We were in town for a wedding and did not get back to our room until later......the hotel is on the corner of the highways that enter the town so the noise level was higher than normal. We also had a room right on the parking lot and there was a lot of noise from that area as well. Other than that, the hotel desk person was very friendly and courteous and the room was clean.
• Nic (6/5): - Our room that we booked at ~$170 wasn’t the best. It smelled like a smoke lounge in the room and it smelled like smoke when you turned the heater on. With the heater on, it tripped the fire alarm too a bit for our room. Though this happened, a second floor one bed room, our free upgrade from the guy at the front desk made the booking worth it. The new room was nice, but had the same problem of the heater smelling like something was burning a bit out of it. I’d recommend, if staying at a Super8 to book a first floor or 2 bed room since that’s where our experience wasn’t completely ruined. It was a convenient location though. Within a mile of fast food, a gas station, and a pharmacy. Overall it’d be a C tier on the stay, but has potential.

The room was very musty and smelled like urine. The room was remodeled and the bathroom was great as was the mini fridge and mwave. However, the carpet stunk, a king sized fitted sheet was put on the queen sized bed. Water stained window frame and chunks of plastic and wood were missing. The AC ran constantly and clunked, making a bunch of noise.
• Robert (6/5): Platteville Super 8 - The area around the hotel needs upgrading. Looks pretty rough. Not a good breakfast. Somewhat limited. Bathroom sink drain was quite sluggish. That's true for most hotels I've experienced. The staff was very nice and helpful.
• Greg (8/5): - Good place for a quick overnight stay. The only thing i didn't care for was the musty smell in the hallway outside of my room. Thankfully it was not also inside the room.
• avaj2020 (10/5): Better than I expected - Clean hotel nice room. Free breakfast has a gym, hot tub is under renovation. It was conveniently located to my work site. There are a ton of food options locally. Walmart, Menards and Ace hardware are a short distance as well. Much cheaper than the holiday inn or the other posh hotel across the street that starts at $179 a night

• Tourist188315 (8/5): Kind of pricey for what they had to offer - No pool, the hot tub wasn’t usable when i was staying there, which was 2-1/2 months for a work project. I found rates were much more reasonable in Dubuque.

• April (10/5): Cutest little view! - What a nice little place! We had a balcony room with a view of this little creek out back along with quick access to a wonderful city trail system. Room was quiet and comfortable and the hotel staff from the desk to housekeeping were very friendly. We are coming back in a couple weeks and rebooked the same room.

• mrwerner12 (8/5): Great choice for the price - Love the location of this hotel in that it is right on the walking / biking path. Stay here when visiting Univ of WI Platteville student. Hotel exterior is nice. Property landscaping / parking lot could be better maintained. It’s clean. Mattresses and blankets could be more comfortable. Hotel staff is awesome and very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast continental sufficient, nothing fancy. Waffles DIY.
• Patricia (10/5): Stayed here many times - We stay at this Super 8 every time we visit the grandsons in Platteville. It's always clean. The small refrigerator has a freezer compartment. I have a problem with patterns and always request a room in the back building. This time we were the only ones in that building, as they are remodeling it. I think they put that room together just because we requested it! How considerate! They have installed new wood look flooring, which I love in a motel! We didn't check out the breakfast, as we are both gluten intolerant and on our other stays there wasn't many choices for us....and we always take our grandsons to Country Kitchen when we visit. I love that these rooms in the back building have a sliding patio door that opens to the parking lot....saves us some steps when carrying our things in and out. The price is so reasonable compared to the other hotels in town....will stay here again for sure.
• Colia (8/5): - like the closeness to UWP and the price. Wish their queen double beds were in the main building as we travel with kids and would like the bigger bed and ease of walking down to the lobby instead of getting dressed to go to another building. Breakfast options could be more but overall enjoyable

• wildtwojs (8/5): Super8 - Second time I stayed at super 8. This one was very high quality rooms were nice. I'm tired of cleaning, this was nice... it was awesome and nice. The hallway was very clean..the lobby was very clean...great appearance.. the counter person was very helpful 👌

• Kim (2/5): - Room 401 should not be legally permitted to be booked as a non-smoking room. The smell was so bad we couldn’t even sleep my throat. Everything hurts the next morning or at least in the middle of the night when we left because we couldn’t sleep because of the horrible smell.
• Rochelle (8/5): - The upstairs loft, had a broken window shade, which let in light during the night to affect sleep. The window shade was open, not able to close. We enjoyed the large tub and cleanliness.
• Bradley (4/5): Stinky loud and moldy - We stayed in room 108 next to laundry room which ran off and on most of night. The bathroom ceiling is moldy you can see its been painted over multiple times. I believe its a health hazard. We paid 132.00 for this room we will not be back.
• RHONDA (10/5): - This place was great for our purposes with the college. Everyone was super friendly and nice.

• Scott (4/5): - Friendly staff. Old-ish facilities. Upon check-in, room had not been cleaned from previous occupant and housekeeping was gone for the day. Staff provided new room quickly enough. Traveling companions room smelled very badly. They discovered a bowl of very moldy food left in microwave long enough the mold had spread to the tray. Rooms all smelled of overpowering air freshener rather than clean.
• Daniel (8/5): - Recently remodeled nice and clean. The bed was the only disappointment. On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being excellent). The room and service got a 9 and the mattress got a 3. Reasonably priced.
• Colia (8/5): - Not a fan of the "other" house for rooms. Too far away from the main lobby and the entrance door was never locked.
• Phat (6/5): - The stay is not bad, but the room was definitely not non-smoking. One side of the bed still has the smell of cigarette smoke.
• Corey (2/5): - The staff was horrible the rooms were dirty and they charged my card four times in a half an hour when I paid cash I gave them the card to keep on file fraud protection had to call me do not trust these people with your credit card

• Roberta (6/5): Mold - It was cleaned but that does not make up for the black mold around the window . this is probably what caused the unusual odor upon entering the room.
• Jon (4/5): Back building has weird vibe - Stayed here before - no frills but clean. This time got assigned to a “hottub room” In the detached additional super 8 motel about 200 yards behind the main building- very set back, a little creepy and just a bit off” in terms of a hotel stay. Room was clean but hottub area and mirrors was offsetting- very 2003. Felt like we were being watched. Just a funky vibe. Came back after dinner to watch badger game and satellite tv was out- front desk said simply reboot- took 15 minutes. He offered to move us but tv finally kicked in. Left in the am early. Won’t be back if we have to stay at that building again. Buyer beware.
• Mary (8/5): - Our room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The people above were actively moving around all night. THE WORST PART WAS THE BUGS IN THE CORNERS OF THE OUTSIDE FACING WALL. They are alive and moving. We will notify the desk after we dress this morning !!

• Karen (6/5): - Room 425. The area where the carpet met the tile in the bathroom area was frayed and the carpet strip with all the tiny nails was exposed. My husband stepped on that strip and punctured the sole of his foot in several places. We covered the area with a folded bath towel and his foot was fine by morning. This does need attention. I did report it to the person at the desk the next morning. Overall we enjoyed our 2 nights that we stayed. The convenience of being able to park outside our room and enter/exit thru the patio door to load and unload our car was very nice. We will stay there again.
