Terri (2/5): - We had made these reservations months ago to attend a class reunion in a neighboring town. After check in, bed bugs were found and we checked out. Fortunately there is one other option for lodging in this town and we were able to get a room. Unfortunately, it cost us almost twice as much on short notice.
Jeff (2/5): - I booked on line. I was given the price was fine with it when we checked in (checked in late around 10 we were in town to work) they charged a $200.00 deposit for a local fee! We were tired and there was no other place to stay (We had called around before i booked). Even thought they said we get it back i thought it was an unfair charge! The room smelled they didn't have the air on so it was 80° the pillows were like rocks the tub was dirty and the bathroom vent was clogged with dust. The remote back was broken off and i was afraid they would charge us for that. The breakfast was a poor selection of cereal and little Debby snack cakes. The morning staff seemed friendly but the lady that checked us in was not friendly. I know why she worked nights. There was a light right outside the window that flows into the room. I even put a chair up against the curtain trying to block out light. The glow from the windows and from under the door the rim was lit up all night. The harley rider revving his engine at 1230 was a classic addition to the stay. Will not be staying there ever again.

It was better, but the security latch was missing. It looked like it had been torn off the door. The coffe pot was unuseable. It had a piece missing.

Sandra (2/5): No TV for kids and no discounts - There was no TV. No one told me prior to check on and I had 5 kids with me! They wouldn’t discount me or offer any kind of sorry options! Construction workers woke us up with banging on windows and roof at 6am, construction workers were watching my 15 year old daughters and trying to flirt with them! It was not a good family experience

The grounds outside were littered with trash. No elevator. The beds were comfortable. Would not stay here again.
Bradley (2/5): Thieves! - After they stick you in a smoking room when you’ve asked for a non-smoking room, the Super 8 and Quality Inn there next to each other in Harrisburg (owned by the same people ) are quite possibly the worst places to stay in the area. Check your phone, and your alarm clock to make sure they’re plugged in otherwise management deliberately unplugged them to make sure your more likely not to be checked out on time so they can charge you another day. It’s theft.

Alisha (6/5): - When we pulled up we questioned weather or not we were in a hotel that was open for business or not. The girl at the front desk was great, super helpful and very nice. The inside was pretty clean with strong smell of farts and fabuloso. When it came time for bed, we both pulled back our bed sheets to find a plethora of black pubes and crusty foot bits. We asked for new fitted sheets and no flat sheet because we dont use them. The girl at the front desk was very helpful. At breakfast it was sparce consisting of waffles, apple or orange juice, pre packaged honey buns, 2 cereals, and an apple. So we skipped out of that. This is more of a $50 hotel rather then a $88 hotel. I'm pretty sure people live here.

Hayley (6/5): - Our towel rack fell right off the wall the moment we washed our hands, the roof was half missing and all over the parking lot. We only stayed here for 2 nights knowing we weren't going to be in it much. Plus there is only 2 hotels in town and the other one wasn't great either. Service was friendly . It's a motel so not much to expect.

caryn (6/5): Would never stay here again. - Our room was clean. The breakfast was awful...diluted juice, waffle batter that got stuck in the container, eating area that looked like a prison eatery. No butters, jellies, smallest coffee cups ever, no one to re-supply milk pitcher or anything else. Pitiful. Nobody emptied our room's garbage cans or even gave us new toilet paper. Very bad. The only reason to ever book this hotel is that it is fairly close to the Garden of the gods, which is a delight to hike through.

Verified traveler (4/5): Going downhill since renovations - This is our fourth stay at Super 8 in Harrisburg. They renovated the hotel 1 year ago and we were happy, however in the short 1 year quality/cleanliness has gone back down. Cigarette burn in coverlette (thought it was non smoking), toilet paper on the floor beside bed, toilet old and chipped seat. Could go on. Disappointed

Charles (2/5): Most disgusting hotel on the planet - Only words that would explain this hotel would be disturbing on arrival the hallways in the rooms smell like marijuana got to my room to find moldy shower curtains mold on the walls human feces on the walls boogers on the walls broken door latch despite all that I flipped my sheets and slept next morning went down to eat the breakfast nothing was working everything was out of order the orange juice machine had moldy orange juice in the bottom left went to my training came back that next evening tried to get some sleep was up all night to people fighting in the rooms and in the hallways yelling and screaming all night and that would happen every day of my stay I was here for 4 days very disgusting hotel it seems like long-term local residents have rented out every bit of the rooms and I will be asking for a refund

Christopher (8/5): Staff most hotels should strive for. - Hotel Staff was absolutely amazing. Helped with bags, and had fantastic recommendations. Jessica went above and beyond, and after discovering our refrigerator was not working properly, had it swapped out with another in less than 10 minutes. Very clean, breakfast was delicious and easy. Once again, thanks to Jessica for helping a disabled Vet have a simply wonderful stay!

Jeremiah (6/5): - Have stayed here multiple times in past and enjoyed my stay. This time wasn’t the same feeling. First off, website said only a couple rooms left to reserve. Got there and the lot was empty except a broke down truck with a tire missing and trashbags over windows, parked right up front by doors. Check in was quick. First room had a broken heater and the room was freezing cold. Front desk changed our rooms promptly and gave us the room over. Room felt bigger with a nicer layout. Cleanliness was the other issue. 2 pillow cases were visibly stained. The bathroom sink was clogged and we found dirty towels next to bed as well as on nightstand. Bed was comfortable and the heater worked well. Check out was again quick. No breakfast was served or stuff left out. Had juice matching and most likely stale cereal in a dispenser. Overall cheap stay, but not the cleanest.

They came and replaced it with an old battery which died the next morning at 0820 and the beeping started again. The switched it with the old one and that died again after 2200. Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was clearly in poor repair. The back of the door handle wasn’t covered and the batteries for the lock were visible. The drop ceiling in the bathroom moved whenever you opened or closed the door. There was a glob or something on the sink and I couldn’t tell if it was toothpaste from a previous guest or something else. There were tea bags and cups to make tea but no tea pot or coffee maker.
Nancy (4/5): - Our room was clean and serviceable, but Econolodge needs to spend some money on upkeep of their property. Our room had a desk chair with upholstery that was split, and a hole in the wall where the door handle had knocked it in. A simple doorstop would have prevented this. The water fountains and the pop machine had signs that said "Temporarily out of service."
Verified traveler (4/5): Ok for quick overnight - Comfortable for a short night. The floors in the room and the shower were not particularly clean (hair in the shower, slightly moldy shower curtain, dirt on floors) and there was food from a prior guest in the small fridge. The beds were comfortable and as advertised. We did have to reattach our toilet seat as well. The hosts were nice at the front desk.

Everything worked; everything was clean enough. It was very quiet and close to a Kroger and restaurants. The breakfast was very basic, but it was available.

Heidi (8/5): - Stayed for eclipse and this was one of the few places with rooms available under $500. Not luxury, but was pleasantly surprised by the clean room, friendly staff, and tasty waffles and coffee all for $71 per night.
Mike (6/5): - You get what you pay for. This property is close to Shawnee National Forest Locations but this isn't a high star hotel. It seems to be newly renovated but some cleaning services leave much to be desired. Tub had a huge wad of hair clogging up the drain and some of the mattress covers were questionably "clean" and looked spotty. Hallway outside the room is very echoey. The staff here were amazing and check in/out was very easy. The location of the hotel is tucked behind some parking lots with not a lot of food options nearby. If you plan on just having a place to sleep while visiting the park this place is pretty decent.
John (2/5): - Propery canceled my reservation without notifying Expedia or notifying me at check-in. Wasn't until I involved Expedia that the cancellation was admitted. Stay away from this property if you use Expedia or need a valid reservation.

Phyllis (6/5): Unresolved maintenance issues - Toilet did not flush freely because of a clog; shower drain did not drain freely because of this clog. One bathroom light bulb was burned out, another was replaced by a light bulb very different than the other bulbs.

RPickering70 (10/5): Nice Accomodations - We had to come to Harrisburg for a family funeral and we’re very impressed with Super 8. From the moment we checked in until we checked out, the service was exceptional. The staff (Tara) was very helpful with local hotspots for food and was always available to answer our questions. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Very nicely maintained, clean, comfortable beds. Weirdly the book lights on the outsides of the beds dont work so sorry, I guess its Audible for those on the outsides. Overall a very good stay. Looking forward to breakfast in the morning!
Robert (2/5): Depressing Experience - The on-desk manager was horrible. She was unfriendly, downright rude at times, non-accommodating and non-responsive. When told that a lamp in the room was not working properly, she said she would be right down, but never showed up. She was very insensitive when we inquired about our cell phones not working: "that's not our problem." She was totally insensitive to our obvious displeasure with the dingy condition of the room and general interior of the building (very unappealing). In fact, the ceiling in the hallway in front of our room was dangerously sagging. The exterior of the building lacked any landscaping and was very distracting. Her specific response to our displeasure was a very curt: "want your money back?" We were very pleased to answer: YES.
Midwesterner007 (6/5): Decent stay on the road - It was ok for a needed stop on the road. Our room did match the renovated pictures on the website. The beds were truly comfortable and the room had been refurbished. The bathroom, however, could used a little of that. It was clean, but needed some paint. The breakfast was cereal and sweet rolls, which was ok. They did have a fridge, so you could store your own breakfast overnight. The staff was very nice and attentive. It was a clean and comfortable stop for tired travelers who couldn't stand another minute on the road.

CINDY (10/5): Weekend away. - The beds were super comfortable. The property in general (carpeting, outside, etc) is worn and dated. But everyone was super friendly and clean. Breakfast was lacking (only cold cereal and prepackaged danish), you know, I guess since Covid you can get away with that. We found a really nice coffee shop downtown with excellent breakfast sandwiches!

Both coffee and juice were very watery, and there was nothing else but cereal and rather sad-looking doughnuts. There was only fruit put out on our first day. The whole place has something of an old, dark feel to it. The staff was fairly nice.
