- Cindy (8/5): - The Fairhaven Inn is a nice hotel with 22 units, historical and well maintained. The staff were friendly, helpful. The King bed was comfortable but the feather pillows went flat and had no support. It's lucky we brought some little neck pillows with us. There was a small fridge in the unit, a French press coffee maker, but no microwave. We had to toss out a take-out meal because we couldn't reheat it. We thought maybe they had a microwave in the breakfast area in their library. They had hot pots for coffee and hot water, pastries and cookies. Galloway's offers happy hour drinks, small bites, but we prefer a full breakfast buffet that other hotels offer that starts at 7:00 am. The Mount Bakery, 3 blocks up the hill was open from 8:00 - 2:00. The shower only, no tub had a partial glass door, water splattered all over the bathroom floor which we had to clean up to avoid slipping. When we asked about grab bars, we were told that these are in ADA units only. The hotel has an elevator for their 3 floors. The room had full blackout drapes as our 2nd floor room was near some streetlights. The hotel was booked to capacity, so we could hear our neighbors during the night. The hotel was safe and secure as they have numeric code keypads for their doors. The street trees could use more attention with watering and care for their root systems, which is the city's responsibility.

- Kathleen (10/5): Charming Inn with a great location for seeing the sights of the Fairhaven district. - I enjoyed my stay at the Fairhaven Inn. Comfortable and great location for walking around the area. The Inn itself did not have onsite services, for example a spa. However, there are some close by. I had a pedicure just around the corner from the Inn. They do have partnerships with some of the restaurants which is a nice perk. The restaurant attached, Galloway's Cocktail Bar, offers a free glass of wine to those who stay at the Fairhaven Inn. No breakfast, yet a nice little coffee/tea service in the morning downstairs in the reading room. Several Breakfast restaurants very close by. Free parking which was nice.

- Debra Lynne (10/5): An elegant and quiet retreat - The Fairhaven Village Inn (FVI) garners top marks for exuding the very essence of elegance in a first-class hotel. Staying at the FVI is a delight from the gracious welcome at reception, to the daily text asking if the room should be serviced; from the delicious muffins served in the library to the glass of HH wine in the lovely art-Deco bar. Moreover, one can carry breakfast or wine to the lovely terrace that has both water and village green views. Furthermore, the FVI is located right in Fairhaven Village, yet remains a quiet haven within easy reach of shoreline trails, excellent restaurants, unique boutiques, and a fabulous bookstore. I cannot recommend the FVI too highly. I have already stayed here four times and plan to return again soon! I like everything about the Fairhaven Villge Inn.

- David (10/5): - Stayed here as it's a five minute walk to the Amtrack station. Nice hotel with comfortable room. No breakfast as such but coffee, muffins and cookies in the ground floor lounge. Fairhaven has good restaurants and crsft beer venues. Also a lovely waterfront walk to Bellingham.

- Grace (10/5): - We loved the Fairhaven Village Inn! It’s a renovated updated hotel with so much charm. Our room was beautiful with a fireplace and little balcony. You can see the ship yard from the balcony. There are boutiques, restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, and an excellent book store close by- all within walkable distance. Wonderful ambiance and experience!!

Room was very spacious and an expected “dock/harbor” view was nice as we sat out on the balcony..extra perk were the table and chairs (and umbrella) on the second floor facing the park which entertained us with local bands! We enjoyed a snack and wine as we watched the sunset..although the “breakfast” was sparse, you had options to eat (paying) at a nearby Crepery..Really nice place to stay with a great location to walk to shops and bakeries.. definite recommend the hotel

- Paul (8/5): Very good - Great location. Very nice room. I very much appreciated the welcome complementary drink and voucher at Galloway. Much needed after 15 hrs of travel. I also liked the option of the morning offerings in the library. Most of all I appreciated the staff, the two desk clerks Meghan and I’m not sure of the daytime clerk, they were terrific and the very friendly housekeepers. Nice people and accommodations make a visit so much more enjoyable.

- Robert (10/5): Great staff, location and amenities await you at the Fairhaven Village Inn - Hadn't been to Fairhaven in more than 20 years . . . what an evolution to a charming, welcoming and vital district. The hotel is convenient to all amenities: food, beverages, shops, walking trails. Staff were friendly, the hotel was clean and quiet (we were not on the railroad track side) and the coffee/muffins were fantastic. The architectural team went a long way to capture the ambiance of 1890's Fairhaven. Low, low, low concern. It would be well to replace on the deck's west face the required balusters with a plexiglass guard to improve the view. The Adirondack chairs are just a little too low to permit unobstructed views to Bellingham Bay.
