All needed updating, and there were areas that had not been cleaned (bedside table dirty from previous cups, not vacuumed in corners and near bed, etc) but not a dealbreaker, we are not too picky. Pool area sufficient. Super 8 asked via email what time we would check out and I indicated 11am, but housekeeping knocked and unlocked the door both at 9am and 10am. Definitely use the internal lock if you need privacy.

• Steven (8/5): - Very good Super 8 hotel in small town Iowa. The property was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast options could be better. If you need a hotel in the area, this is a good place to stay.

• Veldhuizen (4/5): Disappointing - Location No help to be had when a health issue came up the 1st morning. Had to leave and go home without using the 2nd night. (Keep in mind we left early for home in the am) No refund for the 2nd night cause of booking in an app, but the app customer service said it was up to the hotel. Hotel said it was up to the app.....so who is responsible for refunding? We will never know and I'll never have my refund. So excuse me while I bend over and take it from the hotel and the app at once

• Louis (10/5): Comfy and very Clean Motel - We have been enjoying our stays at the New Hampton Super 8 for several years now. We appreciate the cleanliness and comfort this hotel offers. The free continental breakfast is fabulous! Having use of the swimming pool is very important for my wife as this is much needed excercise for her arthritis. She does wonder why the spa was removed. Overall, If all motels can offer what this Super 8 does, we would stay at them all.
• Rose (10/5): - I stayed there one night for a family function, and it was very clean and nice. Love that it had a smaller fridge freezer combo and not one of the small dorm room styles. The free breakfast was pretty good. I stayed on the level 2, and there was no elevator which is fine but want to make sure folks know just incase. The staff was friendly too.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Housekeeping is questionable - I didn’t know they dont clean your room/restock/provide new sheets and towels (even when you place the hanging card on the bed… it says please place this on your bed if you want your sheets changed) if you stay more then 1 night. When I inquired the status of our room (it was 4:30 and nothing was done…the lady was sassy, said “well hmm this is a stay-over” or something like that…then wanted to know what else I needed since it was a huge inconvenience to her (um, your typical housekeeping service? I left a $5 tip before we left for the day and you were eager to touch that but nothing else). After also asking for a refill the coffee, she did not come back. front desk also didn’t know how to turn on the lights above the Jacuzzi in our room…I felt dumb for not finding a light switch but when I called down they said they didn’t know how either?? Definitely not the best stay. Not the worst either, it was a decent continental breakfast and the bed was comfy. I’d recommend staying somewhere else if it’s more than 1 night.
