- Connelly (10/5): -
- adam (10/5): - Very clean, staff were super helpful and friendly
- Victoria (9/5): Nice relaxing stay and the staff was very helpful! - You can't beat this place for being cozy! It's not the Hilton but it's very welcoming and comfortable!
- Vicki (10/5): Best room on trip! - Great room! Felt like home! Loved it!! Would definately reccommend
Clean, comfy, friendly and quiet!
- Brenda (10/5): - In Cheyenne for the Rodeo. This was a fantastic, quiet, comfortable stay away from the crowd in Cheyenne. Perfect for our 2 nights ending our vacation. Bed was very comfortable.
- Radoslaw (9/5): - Not big motel with 20-30 rooms. Worth to stop for one night on the road to Yellowstone or Cheyenne or Rocky Mountain National Park. Pleasant atmosphere, silence; possibility to eat bigger not expensive breakfast in the nearby bar (open 9:00) Lack of lift
- TRACEY (6/5): Outdated! - The property definitely needs to be updated. It's very old, the building is in disrepair. Just not a very nice place.
- Crispy (10/5): - WE would like to thank the manager for her compassion and generosity in seeing that we had food as area businesses were closed. She shared her food with us. Such compassion and help was so appreciated. Thank you!
- Kenneth (8/5): - The property was dated, but comfortable, and we appreciated the easy access, just 2 minutes off the interstate, yet quiet.
- Judy (10/5): - Shelby was amazing. Very kind and informed about the area.
- Casey (8/5): - Quiet, friendly
- Kevin (8/5): Very good -
- Jason (8/5): Stress free. I would stay, again. - Very communicative staff who had to work through a telephone outage and were still able to handle the communication. The comfort and cleanliness were above expectations for the price.
- Bill (10/5): - Great attentiveness & professionalism!
- John (8/5): - This is a hidden gem. Great place for a stop during our journey. Staff was waiting for us, check-in flawless. Rooms are clean and adequate. Staff recommended the Stampede Saloon and Eatery for supper. Great place, food and live entertainment. All this in a town with a population of 175! We will staff here again.
- Kelly (9/5): The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, quiet. - Close to where we were going. Very quiet. Sheets were soft and smelled good.
- Clark (10/5): - Perfectly nice place to stay. Rooms were clean, well appointed. Staff went above and beyond to help us and make our stay comfortable. I would stay there again without hesitation.
- Beth (6/5): Friends and fun - It was average for the price. The bar and grill wasn't ppen on Sunday so we went 45 minutes to have supper.
- Suzanne (8/5): - We lodged in the pet/ guest room. We slept.
- De (9/5): Superb - Friendly reception
Professional
Like in a movie
- Jamie (10/5): - Nice place
- Ariel (6/5): - 200 dollars to sleep in a bed for 4 hours on a long roadtrip I didn’t expect there to be so many earwigs/silverfish bugs around the shower and sink area. Beds super springy but still clean and comfy enough. Front desk was extremely friendly though and they have a pet friendly room available for those that need it. Some bug spray and it could easily be a 4 or 5 star review.
- Whitmon (7/5): Good -
- Pamela (4/5): - I stayed in The Buffalo Lodge on my way from MT to CO. Anyone with allergies or asthma should NOT stay here. While quaint, this place has not been updated for at least 30 years. I arrived at 10:10p, picked up the phone in the “lobby” as instructed and let it ring for 3 mins. No one answered or came to check me in. I called the hotel phone number from my cell and still no answer. After 15 mins, a lady in her bathrobe showed up, was apologetic, and checked me in. Outdated decor doesn’t bother me, BUT the room was stuffy when I entered, the AC unit was filthy, filled with dust and insects & did not blow out cool air. I was hot all night. The room was very dusty; microwave had not been cleaned; bed had cheap, polyester sheets and bedding with an uncomfortable mattress; bathroom had chipped vinyl flooring, permanent hard water stain in the tub, and old caulking. Towels clean, water was hot with good pressure. Overall, everything in this place is dated and very, very worn. This is a $50 a night hotel. I paid $117. The hotel is located in a small, rural, agricultural community—so it’s unrealistic to expect many amenities. The people are lovely—quite friendly. However, I would not stay here again and do not recommend, especially for the price.
- Nikki (10/5): Exceptional - Loved this place. The employees were great and it was the perfect place for a nights rest.
- Louis (8/5): Scenery and location was beautiful - Very friendly and clean No elevator
- Bill (8/5): - I liked the wide open space surrounding the property and ample room to park.
- Tricia (7/5): Good -
- mark (8/5): Comfortable beds, clean rooms - The lodge is dated. But the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The breakfast was honey buns, yogurt, and cereal. It could have been better, since there was no other breakfast option in town. Otherwise I would stay again
- Jeanne (10/5): - Good all around
- Heidi (8/5): Very good -
- David (7/5): Good -
- Sharon (7/5): Good -
- Anna (8/5): Good value lodging - Good location, easy access to highway. Fair price. The room was clean and it was also very quiet. Toilet handle didn't work, so we had to lift the tank lid to get it to flush and the toilet paper holder was not securely attached to wall.
- Elizabeth (7/5): Very pleasant and an interesting town. Extremely friendly people! - Convenient and clean and friendly Nothing stands out
- Margaret (3/5): Never again. - Right off highway Clerk stated she would put out breakfast after 11… once drinks were all in. Festival goers stay there drunk. Stated room had deadbolt fir safety. Beyond dated …
- Evangeleine (8/5): - Pool table, ping pong and foosball. Great for kids!
- Addie (6/5): - Bed was comfortable. Internet and TV did not work.
Staff very accommodating in printing out directions to our next stop because internet was not working for us.
- Jean (8/5): More than I expected. - Bed was excellent. Staff was very accommodating. Breakfast could have been a bit better.
- Grant (6/5): Pleasant - The room was comfortable and clean. The games area provided some entertainment. The restaurant was closed due to staffing issues. The wifi didn’t work.
- Shirley (10/5): Exceptional -
- LeAnne (8/5): - Amazing beds!!!
- Stephanie (10/5): Excellent motel and very affordable - Very clean and quiet Nothing
- Sutherland (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (6/5): - Breakfast is well below standard. No area provided to sit down and eat breakfast. Had to take it back to room so took a couple trips up stairs to the room to eat. They used scented laundry soap and was very strong. My wife is allergic and bothered her a lot. If you’re checking in late you’ll need to phone to get in. Good luck if you’re like me and don’t have a US phone package. It’s not the place if you’re expecting a normal hotel/motel experience.
- Derek (8/5): Very good -
- Gary (8/5): - The property is very convenient to the interstate Highway.
- cathi (8/5): - Nice quiet hotel. nothing too fancy. It did have a nice upstairs area with pool tables etc ans a nice seating area outside. The bar and grill is closed due to not enough staff.
- Annie (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel always feels like home away from home. The owners are always so friendly at check in and make sure your stay is always the best. Such comfortable beds and so clean.
- Wayne (8/5): Thank you - Quiet
- Debby (8/5): - This was a very nice place to stay. The bar and grill was closed but they suggested a nice restaurant down the street and it was great food and atmosphere. The only down side was the room AC had been turned off. The weather was unusually warm and the AC was not able to cool room. It was a long night. I would definitely stay here again.
- Dan (6/5): - The outside area of the lodge was not as clean as showing in the picture. The grill was closed due to not having any employees because it was harvest time. The shower was incredibly small, the water pressure in the shower was really low.
For the price just to lay your head down on for the night was ok.
- Dorothy (10/5): want to come back - best we ever stayed at. the staff was amazingly nice. only thing wrong not many places to eat no place to eat
- brenton (8/5): Pleasant surprise - Very friendly, clean comfortable bed.
Visit the local bar for some comfort food and country music
- Patricia (10/5): - Love the small town feel. Rooms were very clean and quaint. Although the rims were small.
- James (6/5): OK if you must stay here - it was close to the event we attended. it was dated. The room was very small. it was very expected for value received.
- Dwight (10/5): Old Fashioned Hospitality and Accomodations. - Quaint old fashion hotel with great customer service, wifi , game room with lounging area, comfortable beds. Unique old fashion Soda Fountain near by. This is away from the city in rural area which , you a more secure feeeling of security and safety. 3 eating estblishments plus a Convenience Store. No air for tires nearby. Would definitely stay here again.
- Sarah (2/5): - The rooms were so hot, the air wasnt on. We arrived late and the rooms were ridiculously hot. Nobody in our group was able to fall asleep because of the heat.
- Martin (10/5): - If you would like to experience rural Wyoming, put Chugwater on your list. There isn’t much there (pop 212)which makes it so cool. Don’t leave until you have visited the Soda Fountain, the Stampede Saloon and Grill, and have tried the Chugwater Chili. The Buffalo Lodge is a throwback to earlier tourist travel. It’s small and clean with friendly owners.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Updated - We had a comfortable, warm stay. It was pretty clean although we saw an empty whiskey bottle under the bed!
- Lawrence (10/5): Highly recommend. - Grear stay. No problems.
- Scott Avery (10/5): - The lady at the front desk was very pleasant and assisted me with ease. I was tired and need some rest and she made my stay a good one
- Tammy (8/5): - What a great little down home place. Nothing fancy here, but quiet, friendly, relaxing!
- Lisa (10/5): GREAT Place and Town!!! - This is such a quaint little place to stay tucked away from the hustle and bustle and noise of Cheyenne Frontier Days but close enough to join in the fun!!! This little town has everything you need for your stay to be fun and comfortable! The beds are so comfortable! The staff is very accommodating!
- Sandy (6/5): - Very average. Room was $219 and should have been about $70…but because it’s in a tourist location…they get ya.
- Oneta (8/5): - Your website doesn’t give enough information about the establishment. We didn’t get the information we needed to make a informed decision.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - wi-fi and internet was horrible, could not use my tablet
- Verified traveler (8/5): Down home stay! - Very friendly hostess who works hard to make her guests comfortable and welcome. Hotel reminds me of my favorite childhood toys-Lincoln Logs!😃 Room was comfortable and very clean. Great breakfast at the local soda shop!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice country place for a quick layover from a long drive.
- Jim (8/5): - Very friendly staff. Older style rooms, but very clean.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Nothing Here - This hotel may be ok for the locals, but it is definitely substandard. The owner constantly pointed out that we got a good deal because we booked early. The first time I contacted her to confirm our stay, she said she wanted to cancel the booking (which Expedia did not allow) because she could get more money from longer staying clients. On two other occasions when I spoke with her, she continued to tell me how lucky we were to get the room at the price we booked, and that there was nowhere else to stay. It made me feel from the start that she is unreliable, and could just decide to cancel our reservations at any time, since she could get more money from someone else. The accommodations were definitely minimal. The best part of the stay was a barbecue the second night, for which we were charged a reasonable price. I would not recommend staying here, since you have better alternatives only 1/2 hour away North in Wheatland or South in Cheyenne.

- christophe (8/5): Accueil chaleureux - Accueil très chaleureux. Chambre simple, mais parfait pour passer une à deux nuits.
- James (8/5): Ovarall good - Decent, kind of typical small town hotel. Quiet and out of the way, which I like. The Stampede Saloon was a cool little place with good food and live music. I probably spent too much of the night there, so I wasn't in the room long. The TV remote didn't work, but since I wasn't in the room long, I didn't bother to ask for new batteries (I got in late, left early; didn't want to wake anyone).. The condition of the room was fine... I downgraded it a bit because of the TV situation.
- Claire (8/5): Nice stay in Torrington - It was a nice little hotel in a very small town. More than I was expecting!
- Mike (8/5): Antelope hunting trip - Hotel staff were great, room comfortable enough. Would definitely stay again!
- Ricky Lee (6/5): Good overnight stop, but not if you need brand new - Handy stop off the interstate, just far enough away so the road noise is not bothersome. Older style rooms (1960's ?) but kept clean. Great wi-fi strength. Decided to pass on this continental breakfast but the coffee was tasty.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Rude staff no where near country hospitality. - Reception can be compared to truck stop service. Room was similar to a ghetto motel. Price was more expensive than ski resort town in Colorado. Take the extra time and a find the closest town try their lodging.
